Abstract

Values education is establishing noble values in a student by a teacher. Values education serves as a support to students to materialize and experience values, and integrate them in his/her whole life. KH. Abdul Rani Mahmud was an ulema and also a teacher at Madrasah al-Raudhatul Islamiyah Pontianak who devoted his life to Islamic education in Pontianak. His concept of Falakwas classical, similar to the method developed by earlier ulemas such as Kiai Ma’shum ibn Ali because he used refraction data, declination of the sun, and (standard) old version of equation of time, and did not include the calculation of altitude from the sea level, and determine the time of sunrise and sunset. However, in general his concept of falakin the calculation of the time of prayer is in accordance with astronomy using latitude and longitude data, equation of time, declination of the sun, altitude, and angle of the sun.

Abstract

Spells illustrating language power able to influence even to dominate souls. This article shows that human psychology (traditionally seashore community or cosmopolitan community) basically hard to self release from spells and supertition world? Is spell and supertition world forms of human psychology primordial characteristic? Psychology explanation about magic practice cause existence and spells more certainty because the effectiveness of charms that spells promised. It description towards bibliography study methods and narration analysis. Narrative analysis making flashback after construction theme, investigating social background and fighting ideas domination to draw dominant value, giving hidden intention from ideas (text) and reflecting continuity and review ideas on text, next reconstructing and narating to become complete story until become ideology.

Abstract

Radicalism and terrorism are often connected to a misconception of religion’s teachings. It emerges since one or a group of persons learn a religion’s teachings from wrong sources. In other words, they gain information form wrong persons or wrong literatures. Most of those involve in striking terror are youngsters for that education is then considered as one of solutions to prevent radicalism and terrorism. Thus this article proposes an alternative to avoid youngsters from the misconception of religion’s teachings by providing and selecting themes of teaching material that inform about truthful religion’s view on radicalism and terrorism.

Abstract

Educational Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP) is the operational curriculum designed by and implemented in each educational unit. While central government provides only rules of the standard course content, the technical drafting is assigned to teachers, principals and other related institutions. Therefore, accelerating the implementation KTSP in learning must be designed interactively, and the application should be in a way "to design learning to competence". To be directed to the competence of learning, teachers should design syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), and Student Worksheet (BLM). In Addition, teachers, in the implementation of the learning are expected to help relate the teaching material to the real situations and encourage students to make connections between the knowledge learn and the application in their everyday life by using strategies of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Abstract

As a great project, the integration and the inter-connection knowledge need a complex system include philosophy that combine the substantive and position of God (meta-cosmos), macro-cosmos (Nature), and micro-cosmos (The human). The knowledge dichotomy in Islam must be reunited by integration and inter-connection, but that efforts need setting of the mindset to avoid an error logical thinking of understanding about substantive, position and goal. The Social Tafseer TAM (God, Nature and Human) is one of alternative way to build the Islamic true logical thinking because it has many purposes in finding Allah`s blessing and also a systematic characteristic in the processes.

Abstract

Unsur-unsur yang harus ada dalam penyusunan Roadmap riset dan publikasi adalah; a) Rencana Strategis Perguruan Tinggi, b) Rencana Operasional Perguruan Tinggi , c) dokumen Penelitian 4 tahun terakhir, d) data kepakaran dosen berdasarkan keahlian/bidang ilmu dan sertifikasi, e) analisis SWOT, f) visi misi fakultas, jurusan dan unit kerja, g) hasil evaluasi diri, h). Roadmap penelitian invidivu dosen, i) keahlian/bidang ilmu dosen, j) kesesuaian dengan mata kuliah. Pembuatan Roadmap Riset dan Publikasi harus melibatkan seluruh civitas akademika yang perwakilan dari unit yang berkaitan dengan profesionalisme dosen, yaitu Rektor, wakil rektor I, II dan III, fakultas, jurusan, konsorsium dosen. Tracking Kepakaran dosen diupayakan melalui diwajibkannya dosen IAIN Pontianak untuk membuat Roadmap penelitian dan publikasi secara individu, penyesuaian penelitian dan publikasi dengan kepakaran, penyesuaian penelitian dan publikasi dengan visi misi jurusan yang menjadi homebase dosen/peneliti.

Abstract

Education reformation that slowly run makes the potential of islam education of institution that existed has not discover not only from the professionalism side of educators but also the lack abdorption of graduated student from islam education of institution. There is no balancing numbers out put of graduated student with the job opportunities every year. So that, the rejuvenation of currucullum in Islam education of institution has to be priority especially dealing with other south east country approading ASEAN Economic Community (MEA).Hope fully, curriculum development increases graduated competency that oriented to find a job become to create a job opprortunities. Curriculum is an education tool as the answer to needs and challenges not only as an instrument to achieve education purposes, but also as “The Heart of Education” in the process. There fore a good curriculum will become investation for better quality of education. Nevertheless a bad curriculum will produce worse quality of education.

Abstract

Sejak Alfred Binnet dan Theodore Simon (1905) memperkenalkan IQ (Intelligence Quotient) banyak pihak menganggap IQ sebagai faktor penting keberhasilan unjuk kerja seseorang di berbagai sektor kehidupan tidak terkecuali sektor pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendalami penting dan perlunya pengembangan soft skills siswa di sekolah-sekolah khususnya tingkat SD. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus dan rancangan studi multi kasus yang menggaris bawahi kegiatan pembuatan makna, sebagaimana pendekatan interpretive research menjadi dasar memahami fenomena sosial dari aktivitas pendidikan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian diketahui secara substantif bahwa pemahaman guru, kepala sekolah, staf terkait dan orang tua siswa terhadap konsep soft skills masih kurang dan terbatas. Kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah berorientasi akademik dengan metode pembelajaran yang mengabaikan pentingnya pembentukan soft skills siswa. Disamping itu, soft skills dianggap tidak terkait dengan prestasi akademik, sehingga aktivitas pembelajaran kurang melibatkan potensi bagi peningkatan soft skills siswa. Di sisi lain ditemukan bahwa sekolah yang menaruh perhatian pada aspek-aspek pengembangan soft skills pada akhirnya dapat mengaktifkan potensi siswa meraih ketercapaian belajar akademik optimal. Akhirnya, secara formal dapat dikemukakan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran soft skills siswa perlu dan penting diterapkan dalam pendidikan khususnya di jenjang pendidikan dasar.
