This study aims to investigate the effect of the chain whisper game on children’s receptive language skills. This study used a quasy-experimental design. The population in this study was all the students at Teratai Integrated Preschool in Makassar. With purposive sampling technique, the sample of this study was 12 students that were divided into 6 students in the experimental group and 6 students in the control group. The data was collected by conducting observations, tests, and documentation and then analyzed using descriptive statistical and nonparametric statistical methods. The results showed that the value of Asym (2-tailed) was 0.005 < 0.05, meaning that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected and indicating that there were differences in receptive language skills between the experimental group and the control group. These results suggest that the chain whisper game has a significant effect on young children’s receptive language skills.

Abstract

Stunting is a disorder of growth and development of children due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections, especially in the first 1000 days of life. The negative impact of stunting on children, especially on the development of fine motor skills and cognitive abilities, including speech delays, but how stunting is related to speech delay in children has yet to be clearly understood due to restricted existing research and studies. This narrative review explains possible biomechanisms on how stunting causes speech delays in children.

Abstract

The analysis of this study tries to observe the low literacy level of students in primary education, especially regarding the implementation of e-learning through the Belajar dari Rumah during the Covid-19 pandemic. This problem is assessed through a heutagogy approach. The analysis uses a diagnostic case study method with internet searching techniques. This diagnostic study is founded that educators' mastery of implementing LMS-based e-learning in hybrid (blended and flipped classroom) via interactive and integrative multimedia is a significant factor in providing interesting material with quality texts to increase elementary students' literacy. Optimizing e-learning through the heutagogy approach becomes the foundation for realizing independent learners as the vision of Merdeka Belajar. Thereby, the embodiment of Merdeka Belajar through heutagogy is an urgency in strengthening the educators’ quality, professionalism, and creativity to produce a Profil Pelajar Pancasila based on literacy level as one of its bases.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility and effectiveness of a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) based speech therapy model. The speech therapy model was developed using the Borg and Gall model at Makassar State SLB through the stages of research and information gathering, planning, development of initial product forms, and preliminary field trials. Data from expert validation results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and data on the ability to speak with the deaf was analyzed using inferential statistical tests (t-test paired samples). The results of the study indicate that the developed speech therapy model is appropriate and effective for use in speech therapy for the deaf. The feasibility speech therapy model is used because it meets the feasibility aspects, namely the feasibility of supporting theory, the feasibility of orientation and goals, the feasibility of the reaction principle, the feasibility of therapeutic procedures, the feasibility of support systems, and the feasibility of implementing therapy. Speech therapy models based on Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) can improve the ability of the deaf to pronounce and understand the meaning of vocabulary and reduce anxiety when speaking.

Abstract

This research is experimental research that aims to find out: a description of the usage platform AKSI (Advance Knowledge and Skills for Sustainable Growth in Indonesia) for learning and improving students' reading literacy. This type of research is called Quasi-Experimental Design using the design Nonequivalent Control Group. The sample in this study amounted to 63 people. Research data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential techniques. The results of the descriptive analysis show that platform AKSI learning was carried out very well and student activity in the learning process was also very good. As for the student's reading literacy skills, the results of the posttest in the experimental class showed a fairly high category of reading literacy ability. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, P = 0.002 is smaller than α = 0.05. Based on this it can be concluded that there is an influence of platform learning from AKSI on increasing reading literacy for class IV UPT SPF SDN Unggulan Mongisidi 1 Makassar.
