Abstract

Providing education for early childhood is not enough only by maximizing the quality of activities in the classroom. Indeed, the parents' involvement should also be maximized. The study aimed to produce a valid and practical strategy prototype for the early childhood education unit to maximize the involvement of parents in a partnership program. This research and development using the Content Development Process-CDP model involved 202 subjects selected through purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected using a questionnaire, and the results were analyzed descriptively. Data analysis included calculating the percentage and average score and grouping data. The findings show that: (1) the development of the strategy to support the involvement of parents in early childhood education unit partnership is necessary because there is still a gap that needs to be solved in the partnership; (2) strategies to support the involvement of parents are divided into two clusters: the strategy to create family - friendly early childhood education; and preparing educators to work with families/parents. Each strategy cluster has core strategies with several action programs. The first strategy cluster consists of four core strategies with 13 action programs, while the second cluster strategy has two core strategies with seven action programs. Third, the results of the test performed by experts on the strategy prototype show that the product was in the valid / very feasible category. Also, the results of the test by target users show that the product was in the very practical category.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine daily practices of stimulation carried out by mothers at home as an initial support for their children’s language development. This study employed a descriptive design and involved 75 mothers as respondents who wereselected using the non-probability sampling method. The research data were collected using a self-developed questionnaire containing four indicators of early support for children’s language development. The data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel application version 16.10-assisted descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that daily practices of stimulation carried out by the participants as an initial support for their children’s language development in their first five years of life were included in the ‘very likely’ category. Even so, some practices of stimulation were not properly optimized. This finding promotes the need to increase the ability of mothers to carry out stimulation practices at home so that their involvement in providing initial support for the development of children’s language is more optimal, which in turn can improve the quality of family education at home.

Abstract

Textbook discourse readability is primarily determined by three key factors: the text, the writer, and the reader. Textbook discourse readability from the reader aspect especially among students with poor reading ability is rarely studied. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate textbook discourse readability among junior high school students with poor reading ability based on gender, reading interest, and family socio-economic status. A quantitative survey was conducted on 257 respondents from Indonesia. The data were gathered using a questionnaire and a cloze test. The results showed that textbook discourse readability on all investigated variables was categorized into the frustration level. There was a significant difference in textbook discourse readability among students with poor reading ability based on gender, reading interest, and family socio-economic status. Female students, students with high reading interest, students with well-educated mothers, students with parents earning more than seven million rupiahs (equals to USD480/month) were reported to have a higher textbook discourse readability. These findings suggest the importance of considering students’ individual characteristics and family socio-economic background in writing a textbook and designing reading instructions in junior high schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dan mengembangkan Paket Pembelajaran Berbasis Kewirausahaan di Taman Kanak-Kanak. Gagasan ini mengacu pada konsep life skill anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan riset pengembangan dengan memadukan prinsip-prinsip dan alur kerja pengembangan teknologi pendidikan dengan berbagai pendekatan riset dan strategi evaluasi pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan analisis konseptual dan kebutuhan belajar anak usia dini, serta karakteristik lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru Taman Kanak-Kanak Kota Makassar. Data diperoleh dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, Roundtable Discussion, dan angket. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa standar kompetensi kurikulum 2004 di Taman Kanak-kanak belum mencantumkan secara eksplisit pembelajaran berbasis kewirausahaan. Meskipun demikian, tema pembelajaran tertentu dapat dioptimalkan untuk membangun jiwa kewirausahaan anak. Keterlibatan guru dinilai belum optimal, cenderung prosedural dalam pengelolaan kelas, dan masih lemah dalam penilaian hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian ini dijadikan acuan  penyusunan paket Pembelajaran Berbasis Kewirausahaan. Kata Kunci: anak usia dini, jiwa kewirausahaan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (i) The effect of using gadgets on student learning achievement in Cluster I Region 3 Barru District, Barru Regency, (ii) The effect of social behavior on student learning achievement in Cluster I Region 3 Barru District, Barru Regency. (iii) The effect of using gadgets and social behavior on the learning achievement of students in Cluster I Region 3, Barru District, Barru Regency. The research method used is a survey research type with a quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study is cluster I, region 3, sub-district, Barru, Barru Regency, with a total of 168 students and a sample of 119 students using the Krejcie table. The results of this study indicate (i) There is an effect of using gadgets on learning achievement in Cluster I region 3, Barru sub-district, Barru Regency, (ii) There is an influence of social behavior on learning achievement in Cluster I region 3, Barru sub-district, Barru Regency. (iii) There is an effect of gadget use and social behavior on learning achievement in cluster I Region 3 Barru District, Barru Regency

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1)Pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap minat belajar peserta didik di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. 2) Pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap minat belajar peserta didik di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. 3) Pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan disiplin terhadap minat belajar peserta didik di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang.4) Pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang.5) Pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang.6) Pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan disiplin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuatitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik  kelas III.A, III.B, IV dan V di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. Dalampenelitian ini,   pengambilan sampel   menggunakan  Teknik cluster sampling (area sampling), Teknik cluster sampling adalah  yang mempunyai tujuan utama untuk mengelompokkan objek-objek/cases berdasarkan karakteristik yang dimilikinya sampel yang berjumlah  80 sampel dengan menggunakan tabel krejcie. Data penelitian penelitian dikumpulkan melalui angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1)Terdapat pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap minat belajar di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang.2) Terdapat pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap minat belajar di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. 3) Terdapat pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan disiplin  terhadap minat belajar di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. 4) Terdapat pengaruh perhatian orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang. 5) Terdapat pengaruh disiplin belajar terhadap prestasi belajar di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang.6) Terdapat pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan disiplin  terhadap prestasi belajar di UPT SDN 176 Pinrang.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling di Era pandemi covid-19 melalui internet memerlukan sejumlah media yang dapat disesuaikan dengan sifat bimbingan. Guna mewujudkan pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling yang tepat sasaran di Era pandemi covid-19 diperlukan sebuah media yang terstandar dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik hingga ketersediaan teknologi yang dapat menunjangnya. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang diaplikasikan oleh guru BK belum tentu dapat diterapkan oleh semua peserta didik, sehingga guru perlu menggunakan strategi untuk menghadapi berbagai kendala. Solusi yang ditawarkan yakni pemberian materi mengenai srategi pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling di Era pandemi Covid-19. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan cara diskusi, tanya jawab, pemberian materi yang tentang strategi pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling di Era pandemi Covid-19 , demonstrasi, interaksi langsung dan evaluasi. Kata Kunci: Strategi Pelaksanaan Bimbingan dan Konseling

Abstract

Abstract: This Community Partnership Program (PKM) partner is SMP Negeri 1 Duampanua, Pinrang Regency. The main problem faced by partners is that developing soft skills in students is not an easy job for teachers to carry out their daily activities. This factual condition, according to the information obtained, is caused by the limited reading material and exercises that can provide inspiration about practices that can develop soft skills of students. In particular, based on the results of interviews with teachers, the specific problems that were the cause of this and were the main priorities of this Community Partnership Program activities, were: (1) the teachers' limited knowledge of various things that can be done to develop soft skills of students; (2) limited skills of teachers in designing / making various soft skill development programs for students; and (3) the low ability of teachers in implementing various programs in developing soft skills of students. The method used is a participatory model training with an icare approach (introduction, connection, application, reflection, and extension). The results achieved are: (1) partners understand various things that can be done to develop soft skills of students; (2) skilled partners designing / making various soft skill development programs for students; (3) partners are able to carry out various programs in developing soft skills of students. Through this result, there are opportunities for students to have the skills needed in the future to knit civilization and work as professionals. In addition, these results also provide great hope for the creation of a conducive teaching and learning process such as being student-centered, taking place collaboratively, and being integrated with real life.

Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) program is the Pare-Pare City Education Office. The main problem of partners is that making literacy media as a display material in early classes that can attract students' attention as a main prerequisite in designing literacy classes is not easy for elementary school teachers. This factual condition is partly due to the limited reading material that can inspire about media and use to create display material in class. The specific problems that cause this are: (1) limited teacher knowledge about various things that can be developed in the classroom so that students have the expected reading skills; (2) limited teacher skills in making various early grade literacy media that can be used as material to design classes that support the development of student literacy skills; and (3) the low ability of teachers to use various types of media in developing students' literacy skills in early grades.  The method used is a participatory training model with the application of ICARE (introduction, connection, application, reflection, and extension). The results obtained are: (1) partners get insights about things that can be developed in the classroom so that students have the expected literacy skills; (2) partners succeeded in creating a variety of early grade literacy media that can be used as  material to design classes that support the development of student literacy skills; and (3) partners can use various media in developing students' literacy skills in the early grades.

Abstract

Masyarakat di Desa Tellumpanua Kecamatan Tanete Rilau Kabupaten Barru memiliki penghasilan ikan laut yang melimpah, namun harga jual ikan menjadi murah jika musim panen raya tiba. Permasalah tersebut dapat diatasi warga nelayan dengan mengolah ikan menjadi olahan makanan sehat seperti bakso dan nugget ikan. Pengetahuan dan ketampilan masyarakat di Desa Tellumpanua perlu ditingkatkan melalui pelatihan pembuatan makanan sehat dari bahan dasar ikan, agar dapat menambah nilai income. Pelatihan tersebut salah satu alternatif mengatasi masalah yang dihadapai warga nelayan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berupa pemberian pengetahuan dan keterampialn terkait dengan pembuatan makanan sehat dari bahan dasar ikan.Target luaran yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini antara lain: menambah pengetahun dan keterampilan kepada masyarakat khususnya isteri-isteri dan remaja putri tentang tata cara membuat makanan sehat dari bahan dasar ikan, dokumentasi kegiatan dalam bentuk foto dan video, serta satu artikel pada media massa elektronik. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Bakso Ikan, Nugget Ikan
