Abstract

An in vitro research on the antiascariasis effect of methanol extract of “ceguk” root against  Ascaris lumbricoides var. suum had been conducted. The aim of this research was study the antiascariasis effect of methanol extract of “ceguk” root against roundworm. This research used Ascaris lumbricoides var. suum which divided into five groups, three treatment groups were immersed in 5%, 15% and 25% w/v suspension concentration of methanol extract of “ceguk” root, one control group was immersed in 1% w/v Na CMC colloidal and one comparative group was immersed  in 0,125% w/v suspension concentration of pyrantel pamoat and then were incubated at 37±0,5O C. the observation was done by counting the roundworm which was dead at 1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th, 5th, 6th, 12th, 18th, and 24th hours of observation. The result of observation was show all concentration methanol extract of “ceguk”  root had antiascariasis effect. Antiascariasis effect of the comparative group of 0,125% w/v pyrantel pamoat faster than antiascariasis effect of 25% w/v methanol extract of “ceguk” root, which the comparative group showed the dead of roundworm 100% at 3rd, hour and the 25% w/v methanol extract showed the dead of roundworm 100% at 18th hour.Key words : ceguk root, antiascariasis

Abstract

The research is conducted to determine the satisfaction level of patients of drug information service at pharmacy of Makassar Labuang Baji Hospital. This research used descriptive method using primary data by distributing questionnaires filled by the respondents. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 42 respondents who were outpatients. The questionnaire has five dimensions they are responsiveness, accurance / guarantee or assurance, empathy, reliability, tangible. Each dimension has three questions regarding drug information service conducted pharmacists in Makassar Labuang Baji Hospital. The research result is the highest patient satisfaction with the drug information service is the responsiveness and empathy dimension concern with the gained of the patient (98 %) and the lowest patient satisfaction with the drug information service is the Reability / reliability dimension with the gained of 86%. Based on the questionnaire result can be concluded that the level of patient satisfaction with the drug information service in pharmacies of Makassar Labuang baji Hospital is largely satisfied as much as 96.4%. It is hoped Makassar Labuang Baji Hospital to retain and keep improving the quality of drug information services so it can be an example for other hospitals as well.

Abstract

Have been conducted by a obstetrical research of vitamin C at durio meat of Mamuju by qualitative and quantitatif.. The research aim to determine of vitamin C from durio meat of Mamuju by qualitative and quantitatif.Firstly fruit of durio are separated by their seed then it weighed that it enchanced by oxxilate acid 0.4 % and that it blended and filtered. Fitrat obtained to qualitative analyze by using the react FeCl3, Fehling and rate determined quantitatively vitamin C using the spectrophotometry UV-Visible at wave legth 516 nm obrtained rate of mean vitamin C that is durio meat of Mamuju 65.42 mg/100 g.Key Words : Durio Zibethinus Murr, Analysis, Vitamin C, qualitative and quantitatif.

Abstract

Background :For long time ago various research has been done on both curcuma and banana fruit. Result showed that curcumin which contained in curcuma and cytoindosin, tannin, amylum on banana function as antipeptic ulcer. PUD (peptic ulcer disease) is remain the most common disease of gastrointestinal tract, so which influence life quality, disorder in works, and higher of medical treatment cost. Most of patient of which expect prompt effect of preparations. Based on this, suspension was made to give the prompt  effect, due to fine particles of the suspensoid which is not degradated or aggregated in time.The Aim :to obtain dry suspension  from which is pharmaceutically stable from combination of curcuma (Curcuma longa L.) aethanolic extracts and the powder of banana (Musa balbisiana Colla.) flesh using a various of suspending agent.Method : it was experimental method which was a research method in laboratory conducted by preparing some formulation designs of dry suspension fromcombination of curcuma (Curcuma longa L.) aethanolic extracts and the powder of banana (Musa balbisiana Colla.) flesh.Conclusion :the suspending agent producing the pharmaceutically stable dry suspension is magnesium aluminium silicate with 4% concentration Keyword : Curcuma, Banana Fruit, Dry Suspension, Peptic Ulcer.

Abstract

The research on the antioxidant activity test of dietil eter fraction from beruwas laut leaf (Scaevola taccada (Gaertn.) Roxb.) on diabetic rats (Rattus norvegicus) with MDA indicator. This research was aimed to prove antioxidant activity of dietil eter fraction of beruwas laut (Scaevola taccada (Gaertn.) Roxb.) on diabetic rats (Rattus norvegicus) with MDA indicator. This research use 6 male rats were divided into 2 groups. Each groups consists of 3 male rats. All of rats on diabetic condition by alloxan induced 110 mg/kg BB intraperitoneal injection. The control group has been given Na CMC 1%, the fraction 3% group has been given dietil eter fraction 3%. Administration were orally until 7 days. At the end of research, all of rats were taked their blood for determined of absorbance at spektrofotometer 532 nm wave length. The result of the research showed that dietil eter fraction 3% can decreased MDA absorbance of diabetic rats (Rattus norvegicus).  Key Word : Antioxidant, Scaevola taccada, MDA, Rattus norvegicus

Abstract

The Research Chromatogram Profile Of Activities Antibacterial Extracts Isolates Marine Fungi in Algae Kappaphycus alvarezii by TLC Bioautography has been done with the intention of doing the screening test of pathogenic bacteria that can be inhibited by the extract of F3 (extract liquid culture and extract mycelia) and extracts of E (extract liquid culture and extract mycelia ) and see chromatogram profile of liquid culture extract of F3 on bacteria Escherichia coli and mycelia extract of E on bacteria Bacillus subtilis. This research was conducted purification of Fungi isolates E and F3 followed by fermentation process of fungi isolates for 3 weeks. Then proceed with the extraction process using an ethyl acetate solvent. The solvent was evaporated to obtain a dry extract, followed by a screening test of antibacterial activity against bacterial pathogenic, antibacterial activity test by TLC Bioautography to liquid culture extract of F3 and extract mycelia of E. The results of the screening test with a concentration of 250 µg was obtained to extract liquid culture of F3 and E provide activity against 5 pathogenic bacteria to extract mycelia while F3 and E provide activity against two bacterial pathogens. Separation of compounds by TLC using the ethyl acetate eluent: ethanol: water (8: 2: 1). The result of TLC Bioautography test of liquid culture extract of F3 to bacteria Escherichia coli and mycelia extract of E on bacteria Bacillus subtilis showed the existence of antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Zodia (Evodia suaveolens) plant is commonly used by the community to repel mosquitoes. The plant is native to Papua but has been widely cultivated in Java such as: Batu, Depok, Bogor, Bandung and Surabaya. The aim of this study is to determine the antioxidant activity of zodia leaves methanol extract. In addition, to determine the class of secondary metabolites of the methanol extract of zodia leaves. The extraction process was carried out by maceration method using methanol solvent for 3 days then the filtrate was concentrated using a rotary evaporator. The antioxidant potential of zodia leaves methanol extract was tested using the DPPH method (1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer while the determination of secondary metabolite compounds from zodia leaves methanol extract was carried out qualitatively using reagents. The results of the phytochemical test showed that the methanol extract of zodia plant leaves contained group of alkaloid, flavonoids, and tannins compounds while the antioxidant activity test of zodia methanol extract using the DPPH method were shown with an IC50 value of 55,69 ppm while These results indicated that the zodia leaves methanol extracts have strong category of antioxidant activity.

Abstract

ToxicityTest anticancer of Beluntas Folium (Plucea indica).  The research was mainly to give information of  anticancer activity of beluntas. Takeing sample in in Makassar city  with interview  public figure. Toxicity test with Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BST) method and used negatif control sea water. The result, beluntas haven anticancer activity and LC50 is 44,31 ±  12,65 mg/ml.Keyword : Anticancer, Plucea indica

Abstract

This research aimed to see antioxidant effect of extract ethanol leaves of Murbei (Morus multicaulis) in the lung hispathology of rats who get cigarette smoke exposure. The research method is have been done with experimental, 25 male rats (Rattus norvegicus) with 2-5 month old, body weigh range 100-200 gram were treated for 31 days. Devide in to 5 groups, P1 positive control (has given food and drink), P2 negative control (with cigarette smoke exposure), P3 (a group treated by cigarette smoke exposure and extract ethanol Murbei 100 mg/kgBB), P4 (a group treated by cigarette smoke exposure and extract ethanol Murbei 200 mg/kgBB), P5 (a group treated by cigarette smoke exposure and vitamin E 1,8 mg/kgBB). In 31st day, the mice performed surgery to retrieve organs rat lung histopathology test is then performed. Given ethanol extract of leaves of Murbei (Morus multicaulis) 100 mg/kgBB and 200 mg/kgBB may have an effect as an antioxidant in the lungs of rat (Rattus norvegicus) males

Abstract

Isolation and identification chemical component of n-Heksan ekstract Klika Jamblang (Syzygium cumini L.).Have been isolated and identification chemical component of n-Hexan extract of Klika Jamblang (Syzygium cumini L.).Extraction by refluks with using methanol, and partitioned with n-Hexan.   n-Hexan extract isolated by suction column method with using silica gel as adsorban and Hexan :Ethyl acetat (20:1, 20:1, 15:1, 10:1, 5:1, 1:1, 1:5, again with Ethyl acetate 50 ml and with methanol 50 ml), as elution liquid, obtained 9 fraction.Fraction Vb1 then purified with preparative TLC until obtained 1 purity compound.Fraction Vb1 analyzed by ultraviolet-visible spectroscophy wich shown absorbance in maximum 239 nm, where as infrared spectroscophy shown presence of –OH gropu, CH alipatyc group, alkyn group, RCN aromatic group, lakton group, cincin aromatic group, CH aromatic group and klorida aliphatic group. And analyzed by chemistry reaction, namely Liebermann-Buchard, Acid preklorate, Vanilin-Sulfat Acid, which show presence of steroid compound group. Keyword : Klika Jamblang (Syzygium cumini L.), Isolation  and identification,  KLT, steroid
