Abstract

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reported 5,020 cases of fire at gas stations, of which 61% of gas station fires were caused by vehicle fires, 27% by technical errors, and 12% caused by other causes. In 2017 at the Simpang Jam gas stationin Banda Aceh, which caused huge losses. Previously, there had never been a study on the impact of fire and explosion risks, especially for gas stations that were close to residential areas in the city of Banda Aceh.. This research is descriptive analytic with a case study design conducted at 2 gas stations in Banda Aceh using secondary data obtained from gas stations and BMKG and then processed using ALOHA software. The results showed that the flammable area at the Batoh Gas Station was 28 yards, with a red zone (17 yards), an orange zone (21 yards), and a yellow zone (28 yards). The flammable area at the Simpang Jam gas station is 24 yards, with a red zone (13 yards), an orange zone (17 yards), and a yellow zone (24 yards). Both gas stations do not have an emergency response plan to anticipate fires and explosions at these gas stations. it is recommended to the managers of Batoh Gas Stations and Simpang Jam Gas Stations to make an emergency response plan and provide training on fire and explosions for each worker, it is hoped that the government will tighten regulations regarding land that must be vacated in hazard zones to minimize the impact of fire and explosions at these gas stations.

Abstract

Background: Basic immunization coverage in Pidie Jaya Regency from January to December was 29.6% for measles immunization. One of the health centers with the lowest basic immunization is Blang Kuta at 12.9%. This research aims  to determine the relationship between health worker communication and the implementation of basic immunization in the work area of the Blang Kuta Health Center. Methods: This research is descriptive- analytic with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was 145 mothers who had babies aged 0-12 years in the Blang Kuta Community Health Center working area. The sample, consisted of 60 respondents who were determined using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test with SPSS. Results: Based on univariate analysis shows that the implementation of basic immunization in the Kuta Blang Health Center working area is still low (61.7%), there is a lack of information sources (71.7%), there is a lack of media (76.7%), there is a lack of communication messages (73.3%), lack of recipients of information (58.3%). Based on bivariate analysis, there is a relationship between information sources (p value=0.012), communication messages (p value=0.043), and recipients of information (p value=0.015) on the implementation of basic immunization in the Blang Kuta Community Health Center Working Area in 2019. Recommendation: Health workers should improve their effective communication skills, so they can  provide good and clear information about immunization procedures to the public, especially mothers who have babies and toddlers.

Abstract

Background: The Ministry of Health has trained acupuncture 203 doctors from 160 Government-Owned Hospitals, 1 Army-owned Hospital, 41 Community Health Centers and 1 Health Service Unit owned by the Ministry of Health from 2013 to 2018. One of the hospitals being trained is the Tebet Regional General Hospital and to date have not provided acupuncture services, therefore researcher is interested in analyzing the development of acupuncture services. Methods: This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. Result: The hospital has characteristics within the average limit because as a class D hospital it is fully accredited and has a vision as a C class hospital. The unavailability of acupuncture services is due to the lack of support from hospital management and the absence of infrastructure. The hospital responds to opportunities within moderate limits and avoids threats within moderate limits such as it makes all visiting patients to be served as long as they have a health insurance card. The results of the Internal External Matrix show that the strategic position of the acupuncture services development business unit is hold and maintain. Recommendation: Efforts to develop acupuncture services require a good marketing strategy to obtain information about competitors and customer needs. Therefore, this strategy will require a lot of new investment in its implementation because it must be preceded by market research.

Abstract

Background: Neonatal mortality is a reflection of a country's health status and until now, health development is still an important government program. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Low Birth Weight (LBW) and neonatal mortality in Indonesia after confounding factors (education, household wealth index, age, smoking, parity, birth spacing, antenatal visits and history of abortion) were controlled and to determine the size of Population Attributable Risk of LBW to neonatal mortality in Indonesia. Indonesia 2017. Methods: The design of this research was cross-sectional with multivariate logistic regression analysis using secondary data from the 2017 IDHS. The sample in this study were women who had been married and gave birth to live babies from 2012-2017 as many as 16.343 samples. Results: The study showed that there is a relationship between LBW and neonatal mortality (OR=6.79, 95% CI=4.98-9.26, p value=0.000). Then the dominant factor that is most related to neonatal mortality is LBW with a p value of 0.000 and parity with a p value of 0.005. Conclusion: In order to reduce neonatal mortality, it is hoped that the government and the society can play an active role in reducing and controlling LBW by increasing antenatal care. As well as encouraging pregnant women to check their pregnancies and deliveries by skilled health workers.
