Abstract

This research aims to look at the use of mini book media to improve the reading and writing skills of students at the elementary school Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. This research uses a qualitative approach, where data is collected using structured interview techniques and documentation. The informant in this research was a class IV teacher. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data triangulation model. The results of the research show that mini book media is the media used by fourth grade teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya in the teaching and learning process in class. This is due to the flexibility of the media in each lesson, as well as the ease of creating and using it in learning and being liked by students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the content of progressivism in character education and social virtue embedded in the biography novel of Buya Hamka, utilizing a sociopragmatic study approach. The prophetic sociopragmatic study approach is employed to investigate the social and pragmatic context of Buya Hamka's perspective on character education and social virtue in the novel. The study also identifies how these values can be implemented in the context of character education in Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. The research methodology adopts a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques to explore various aspects of progressivism in character education and social virtue within the novel. Data are analyzed by considering the historical, social, and religious contexts that shape Buya Hamka's views on character education and social virtue, using a socioprakmatic perspective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang aplikasi E - Modul berbasis Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa penyandang tuna rungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE yang dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap sebagai berikut : (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, dan (4) Implementation dan (5) Evaluation. Penelitian ini melibatkan 3 siswa penyandang tuna rungu dari SMPLB Bhakti Luhur. Hasil kevalidan diperoleh dari tiga orang validator yaitu dosen ahli media, dosen ahli materi, dan guru ahli pembelajaran. Hasil kelayakan menggunakan angket uji kelompok kecil sebanyak 3 orang Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Rata – rata hasil analisis data validasi ahli media adalah 3,50, untuk ahli materi adalah 3,58 sedangkan ahli pembelajaran adalah 3,83. Hasil rata – rata ini menunjukkan bahwa media termasuk pada kategori “sangat valid”. Hasil angket respon menunjukkan bahwa media termasuk pada kategori “sangat layak”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi E - Modul interaktif berbasis Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa penyandang tuna rungu memenuhi aspek kevalidan dan kelayakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop mathematics learning media in the form of games to meet the needs of mathematics learning and can increase the interest and motivation of learning students. The subjects of this study were 33 grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Tajurhalang. This research uses a research and development approach by adapting the ADDIE model which includes 5 stages, namely, 1) Analyze, 2) Design, 3) Develop, 4) Implement, and 5) Evaluate. In this study, the product was validated to three material experts and three media experts and carried out individual trials for students. Based on the validation results from experts. The average assessment results from material experts received a score of 4.57 with the criteria of "Very Worthy", and the average assessment results from media experts received a score of 4.13 with the criteria of " Worthy". The results of individual trials get a score of 3.54 with the criteria " Worthy". After validation and revision from experts, a small class trial was carried out for students at SMP Negeri 1 Tajurhalang. The average assessment results from the small class trial scored 3.89 with the criteria " Worthy". The overall results stated that ethnomathematics-based Tic Tac Toe Math learning media were qualified as valid with the criteria " Worthy".

Abstract

Orang Tua adalah pemeran utama dari pembentukan Karakter anak-anak, anak-anak sangat bergantung dengan pendidikan yang di dapat dari orang tua mereka. Terkhususnya anak seusia remaja dalam bidang Spiritualitas, masa dimana anak remaja memiliki perasaan yang belum stabil dan sangat mudah di pengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor , baik faktor internal, mau pun eksternal. Untuk itu, orang tua menjadi oknum yang sangat penting dalam pertumbuhan spiritualitas remaja. Peran orang tua begitu dalam dalam pembentukan spirituali remaja supaya anak remaja tidak salah dan menyimpang dari ajaran-ajaran yang sesuai dengan kebenaran Firman Allah. Sehingga remaja menemukan hidup yang takut akan Tuhan dan mengenal Juruselamat yang sesungguhnya yaitu Yesus Kritus.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Munculnya anak-anak yang hidup atau bekerja dijalanan adalah imbas dari kemiskinan yang belum tertangani secara baik. Kondisi ini kemudian memunculkan berbagai permasalahan sosial, satu diantaranya banyaknya anak-anak yang terpaksa hidup dan bekerja di jalanan untuk ikut menopang ekonomi keluarga. Dalam undang-undang sendiri telah diatur secera jelas bahwa pendidikan termasuk hak dasar yang harus didapatkan setiap anak. Di wilayah Surabaya Utara, anak-anak jalanan ini akan dapat kita temui di kawasan wisata religi ampel, kawasan jembatan merah, jalan Sasak, dan beberapa tempat di wilayah Surabaya Utara. Anak-anak ini bekerja dengan waktu yang tidak jelas. Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengetahui kondisi pendidikan anak-anak jalanan serta faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kondisi pendidikan anak-anak jalanan yang ada di wilayah Surabaya Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Kesimpulan, Anak-anak jalanan memiliki peluang putus sekolah lebih tinggi dibandingkan anak-anak lain yang memiliki kehidupan normal tanpa kewajiban menopang kebutuhan ekonomi keluarga. Anak-anak jalanan di Surabaya Utara sebagian mengalami putus sekolah atau drop out saat masih sekolah dasar. Sebagian anak jalanan masih tetap bersekolah meski setelah pulang sekolah harus membantu orang tuanya bekerja untuk menopang ekonomi keluarga.Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kondisi pendidikan anak jalanan ada beberapa hal yakni ada tidaknya support system dari orang tua/keluarga, penerimaan lingkungan sekolah atas keberadaan mereka, pengaruh lingkungan, figur orang tua laki-laki dan tingkat kemiskian yang dialami keluarga.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of an intervention aimed at enhancing early childhood education (PAUD) teachers' understanding and application of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and PJBL (Project-Based Learning). The intervention included professional development sessions, followed by pre-test and post-test assessments. Results indicated significant improvements in teachers' knowledge and pedagogical skills. The teachers' modules, created post-intervention, covered diverse themes such as disaster mitigation, resource management, and environmental conservation, reflecting their ability to integrate STEM and PJBL into engaging activities. The significant increase in post-test scores demonstrated the intervention's success in equipping teachers with the necessary skills to design and implement STEM-based learning using the PJBL approach. These findings suggest that such interventions are effective in enhancing early childhood educators' capabilities, ultimately benefiting young learners by providing them with enriching, real-life applicable educational experiences. This study highlights the importance of continuous professional development in advancing educational practices.

Abstract

The environment plays an important role for the survival of mankind and all living things on earth and the environment must be preserved. Humans who live on earth are not alone but together with other creatures, who have needs and depend on each other. Community service activities in the Nayata Work Lecture at Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya are carried out in accordance with existing themes, starting from the stage of identifying waste-related problems to implementing activities. Implementation of socialization and training activities for household organic waste processing in Sedagaran Village as an effort to minimize waste being thrown out of the house, especially if it is thrown carelessly, which can cause problems for the environment and society. Enthusiasm was also seen from the participants who attended the activity, namely from their involvement in taking part in the activity. Overall, participants actively asked questions regarding materials for processing and making compost from household organic waste and other sources of organic waste.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of school-based management (MBS) of public high schools in Buleleng Regency in the aspects of independence, partnership, community participation, transparency, and accountability. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were 17 public high schools in Buleleng Regency. The data collection method used was a questionnaire with 5 aspects of MBS implementation. The research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of 128 statements and a Likert scale rating. Data analysis was carried out using quantitative analysis techniques with Glickman's quadrant criteria. The results showed that the implementation of school-based management in public high schools in Buleleng Regency was very effective in 5 aspects of SBM in terms of independence, partnership, community participation, transparency and accountability with the T-score of each aspect being positive (+). Thus, the implementation of MBS at public high schools in Buleleng Regency in 2023 obtained a quality T-score value (+ + + + +) with a very effective category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the implementation of school-based management at public high schools in Buleleng Regency in 2023 is very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze principals' strategies in developing facilities and infrastructure to support learning innovation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and administrative staff, as well as observations and document analysis. Results indicate that successful principals in learning innovation focus on integrating technology, such as educational software and interactive whiteboards, and developing flexible learning spaces. Collaborative approaches involving teachers, students, and the community proved effective. The conclusion is that principals' strategies significantly enhance educational quality through proactive and visionary management of facilities and infrastructure. The novelty of this research lies in emphasizing collaboration and professional training for principals, as well as the importance of sustainability in educational facility innovation.
