Abstract

The accelerated development of the technological world cannot be separated from the materials of electronic components. Vocational schools are the most dominant schools in discussing electronics, but there are still many students who have abilities below the graduation standards that have been set in the subject of electronics basics. One of the causes of low learning outcomes is due to the lack of involvement of students in the learning process. Therefore it is necessary to think pair share method to spur student activeness and creativity during learning. The technique in doing this method is by students thinking, discussing and sharing material concepts directly with their classmates controlled by the teacher in material supervision. In addition, by using this method students are able to solve problems during the learning process well. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment with Posttest Only Control Design. The subjects of this study were students of class X SMK Negeri 1 Pariaman which consisted of two classes, namely X TITL-1 and X TITL-2. From these two classes were selected randomly where class X TITIL-1 was the experimental class and class X TITL-2 was the control class. To see students' initial abilities, an analysis of the posttest was carried out in the subject of Understanding the Basics of Electronics. Collecting data in this study using a learning outcome test (posttest) in the form of objective questions of 25 items. The data were analyzed using the two-mean difference test (t-test). Based on the results of the study, the posttest mean percentage of the experimental class was 77.14% and the control class was 55.14%. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant increase in student learning outcomes with a comparison of the think pair share method which is better than the conventional method.

Abstract

Keberadaan air laut yang melimpah di Indonesia menjadikannya potensial sebagai sumber energi alternatif  dalam mengatasi keterbatasan pasokan energi untuk jangka panjang. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi air laut Aceh sebagai sumber energi alternatif. Proses pengukuran ini menggunakan dua plat elektroda yakni plat lempeng tembaga sebagai elektroda positif dan Plat Lempeng Seng sebagai elektroda negatif. Kedua plat direndamkan dalam wadah yang berisi air laut dan dirangkai secara seri. Volume air laut divariasikan mulai dari 600 ml, 800 ml dan 1000 ml. Sampel air laut diambil dari tiga Lokasi air laut yang berbeda yaitu air laut Ujung Pancu, air laut Kahju dan air laut Alue Naga. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa, nilai arus dan tegangan terbesar didapati pada air laut daerah Ujung Pancu kemudian air laut daerah Kahju dan air laut daerah Alue Naga. Daya hantar listrik yang baik ini menunjukkan adanya korelasi dengan tingkat kadar salinitas air laut daerah tersebut. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa air laut Aceh dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu sumber energi alternatif.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss about the importance of Information Technology in overcoming the Covid-19 virus. Information technology will continue to grow in line with the fast number of internet users. Based on the data obtained, it reaches that there are 175.4 million internet users in Indonesia. Based on the results of qualitative analysis, by direct observation, it can be concluded that the internet has become a medium that provides information to the public about the dangers and prevention efforts of COVID 19. However, the weaknesses of information technology included that the difficulty of filtering correct or wrong information. So, the users must sort and respond to any information from internet technology. The public needs to be aware of the covid-19 virus outbreak which has spread to hundreds of countries in the world, including Indonesia. Therefore, information technology should reach remote villages. With regard to the health aspect, information technology should reach out to the health center units and integrated with urban hospitals.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on the use of the Internet of Things in smoke density levels monitoring and camera movement control. Internet of Things as long distance communication for monitoring and control systems. In this research, the system can detect smoke levels and can monitor it via an android phone, besides this system is equipped with camera movement control so that the camera position can be controlled remotely to be positioned towards the center/source where smoke is detected, so this system is needed as building and industry security as a fire prevention. This study uses a smoke density detection sensor type MQ-2, Arduino Uno as a controller, Esp8266 as a Wifi module and a servo motor as a camera driver. The results of the tests that have been carried out prove that the system has been successfully integrated and works according to the target, which is to detect the concentration of smoke and monitor remotely via an android phone and camera movement control properly.

Abstract

Penerapan pembelajaran PBL berperan penting dalam peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik, dengan adanya pembelajaran PBL maka peserta didik dapat berfikir kritis dan bisa mengembangkan pengetahuan baru. Pembelajaran PBL menuntut peserta didik untuk mampu memecahkan masalah mengenai materi yang diajarkan oleh guru. Peneliti menerapkan model PBL pada pembelajaran untuk mengetahui rancangan dan pengaruh hasil belajar peserta didik dikelas X SMKN 5 Telkom Banda Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan menggunakan eksperimen jenis pre eksperiment berupa metode one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjek yang diambil hanya satu kelas yaitu siswa kelas X berjumlah 28 siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data uji t pada hasil pretest dan posttest, maka diperoleh   = 1,70 sedangkan  dengan jumlah nilai 5,15, hal tersebut membuktikan (5,15 > 1,70) yang artinya  diterima sedangkan  ditolak. Sehingga dengan adanya penerapan PBL pada proses pembelajaran, maka terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar terhadap peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to seek to improve the learning outcomes of students using interactive multimedia Power Point work on the subjects of Basic learning and Electrical Measurements Work in class X TIPTL 2 SMKN 1 Padang. This type of study is a quasi-experiment. Students of class X TITL 2 Padang 1 SMKN were collected in the 2016/2017 school year consisting of 30 students as research subjects. Collecting data in this study using the test results to learn pre and post objective be about 30 items to 30 items for pre- and post. The test questions that will be used first on the tests to determine the validity, reliability, difficulty index, and different power test questions. Data were analyzed using Gain Score. The average value of the pre-test before deploying interactive multimedia Power Point is 58.5 and average values applied after the interactive Power Point post-test media is 79. Hence Gain score calculation means of learning results of students increase 0478 in the average category. It can be concluded that the interactive multimedia Power Point application can improve the results student of class X TITL 2 SMK 1 Padang on topics Basic learning and Electrical Measurements.

Abstract

Abstrak  Berdasarkan observasi di SMK Negeri 4 Banda Aceh pada pelajaran Menggambar Teknik diperoleh sebagian besar siswa kurang memiliki semangat dan minat untuk belajar, sehingga berdampak pada nilai siswa-siswa tersebut. Hal ini terjadi salah satunya karena penggunaan metode dan model pembelajaran yang masih berorientasi pada guru (teacher centered), yaitu guru memberikan dan siswa hanya menerima yang diberikan guru yang mengakibatkan banyak siswa di kelas menjadi pasif dan lama kelamaan mereka merasa jenuh dan bosan karena kurang dilibatkan dalam proses belajar mengajar sehingga minat belajar menjadi kurang yang berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk melihat tingkat hasil belajar dan respon siswa terhadap penerapan Model pembelajaran Make a Match pada mata pelajaran Menggambar Teknik. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian quasi eksperimen analisis data kuantitatif, data hasil penelitian dikumpulkan melalui lembar tes dan lembar kuesioner. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan desain one group pretest and posttest. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa terdapat perubahan hasil belajar peserta didik yang dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pretest dan posttest yaitu (31,11<68,89), Sehingga dapat disimpulkan ada peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pelajaran Menggambar Teknik di SMKN 4 Banda Aceh menggunakan model pembelajaran Make a Match dan respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran Make a Match pada pelajaran Menggambar Teknik baik, hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan melihat respon peserta didik terhadap pernyataan-peryataan positif kuesioner semuanya di atas 75%.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the rate of heat absorption in black, red, green, yellow, milky white, and blue electrical light related to temperature change with a predetermined time variation. This study uses an AC power circuit to light a bulb with varied colours and then measures the temperature associated with the heat involved in the light on. The calculation in this study uses the Black principle concept. The results showed that black and green light bulbs had the greatest temperature change followed by red, blue, yellow, and white bulbs. This is in accordance with the basic concept that dark colours tend to conduct heat better than bright colours.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia has changed various aspects of human life. one in the field of education, the entire campus must learn new methods online. To make learning easier online, learning media are needed. Learning media is a means of interaction between lecturers and students so that learning activities are more effective and efficient. The media can display information through sound, images, movement and color, both naturally and manipulated. With the media, learning objectives will be more easily achieved with the minimum of time and effort. Purpose: Thus the author seeks to determine the effect of the use of instructional media on student interest in learning in the histology course, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malikussaleh. Method: This research was a descriptive study with a cross sectional survey design. The sample in this study were all students who filled out a questionnaire at Malikussaleh University. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique and data were obtained from primary data. Result: From the regression results, it can be seen that the learning media variable has a t-count value of 4,212, which is greater than the t-table of 1,671, with a significance of 0,000, which means less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that the learning media variable has a positive and significant effect on increasing interest in learning in medical students at UNIMAL

Abstract

Due to an application of coconut shell and cassava peel-based charcoal as an alternative material in carbon film resistors, the purpose of this study is to determine the value of both resistance and specific resistance of those materials. The fresh coconut shell and cassava peel were dried under sunlight prior to charcoal production through pyrolysis. The resulted charcoals were then grounded into powder and filtered. After that, the fine materials were inserted into a straw with a wide area of 6,07 x 10-7 m2and 1,2 x 10-4 m2 and the length of 0,03 m and 0,04 m. The results obtained that the resistance values of the coconut shell and cassava skin charcoal were 5  104 Ω to 11  104 Ω and 3  104Ω  to 5  104 Ω, respectively. While the specific resistance values of those charcoals were 1,133 Ωm to 2,34 × 102 Ωm and  0,758 Ωm to 1,28 102 Ωm, respectively. In conclusion, both resistance and specific resistance values of coconut shell charcoal seem to be relatively higher than the coconut shell charcoal.
