Abstract

The positive attitude of students toward environment is the manifestation of a positive  attitude of students toward  the environment. The development of student  positive  attitude  toward  environment  can be gotten  through  the aplication of daily attitude  and the model  that student s catch and feel from the environment  where  student s live.  The students need to get the experiences and learn  by themselves with a possitive  attitude in order that they are accepted  by the environment and they  do not  do harm  their environment. The experiences  given to the student  should be prepared  to help them  to share, cooperate, respect, love renponsible,  and having  self confidance. This research aim at knowing  the difference of children’s  possitive attitude  toward environment at students who lern by using video media based environment  (VMBE). Will those who do not learn  by using video media  based  environment  (VMBE). Research  was aquasi  experimental  research with pretest and posttest control design. The data of students positive attitude  toward environment  were gotten  by using  observation  technique ( the observation of students  positive attitude improvement  ) The data of this research  were analyzed  by using the analysis of independent  sample t-test tecnique. The result of  analysis  can be  concluded as follows : with df : 16 at significant  level 0.05 showed that  there was  difference of students possitive attitude who learn by using  MVBL  than those  who did not  learn by using MVBL  (t=3.120)Keywords : VMBE, Possitive attitude toward environment.

Abstract

Syzygium aqueum plant of the family Myrtaceae is native of Malaysia and Indonesia and is known as the water rose. The active compound is useful as an antibacterial. This study aimed to determine the effects of ethanol extracts of guava leaves (S. aqueum) as an antimicrobial against clinical isolates bacteria in vitro. The design used in experiment was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test. Results of statistical analysis using SPSS 20 for windows indicated that the ethanol extract of guava leaves has a significant (P<0,05) effect in inhibiting the growth of clinical isolates bacteria. MIC (Minimum Inhibition Concentration) of ethanol extracts for each bacterium can not be determined because the guava leaf extract was very dark. The MBC (Minimum Bacterisidal Concentration) of ethanol extract of guava leaf  for both S. aureus and S. dysenteriae was 20%.  The MBC of the extract for E. coli, S. thypi, V. cholerae was 25%, where as for B. cereus was at concentration of 50%. It can be concluded that guava leaf has highly potential as a source of antimicrobial agent. Keywords:Antibacteria, Guava Leaf, Clinical Isolates Bacteria, Ethanol Extract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe data on the understanding of YAPNUSDA elementary school teachers of High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and their implementation in learning. This study is a descriptive study that describes HOTS's understanding of the teacher and its implementation in learning. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that in general the data obtained is that the teachers in the study location schools do not yet understand about HOTS. They can't even explain the definition of HOTS. The lack of understanding of HOTS certainly has an impact on the implementation of HOTS in the tools for assessing learning performance, including the exam questions jointly prepared by the editorial team. The most frequently cited reason that also hinders teachers is that they do not yet understand HOTS and the technique of formulating instruments with verbs that measure HOTS.

Abstract

This research was aimed to identify some classes of secondary metabolite compound on the fractionation results of green bean extract (P. vulgaris L.) using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS) method. Green bean was extracted by methanol solvent. Fractionation of methanol extract used Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC) with some variation of eluents such as n-hexane 100%; n-hexane: ethyl acetate (9 : 1 to 1 : 9); and ethyl acetate 100%, produced 11 major fractions.  Based on Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) analysis using DCM: MeOH (9.5: 0.5) as mobile phases, these 11 major fractions were classified based on their polarity such as non-polar, semi-polar and polar fraction. The results of identification by GC-MS spectrometer showed the presence of secondary metabolites such as monoterpenes in non-polar fraction; in semi-polar fraction was found terpenoids and steroids; in polar fraction was found monoterpenes, phenolic and steroid as the lowest percent area, that is less than 2%. Keyword: P.vulgaris L extract, fractionation, VLC, GC-MS
