Abstract

Activities in the supply chain have problems related to uncertainty, to be faced in this condition the business actors need to know their performance and improve their performance. The level of best or bad performances of a company has based on the application of supply chain management in managing the business activities. The implementation of supply chain management is faced with a problem such as uncertainty of market conditions about price and quantity of supply and demand that can affect the operational activities of the supply chain. The supply chain problem also occurs in the tobacco supply chain as the plantation commodity with high economic value and the seasonal characteristic. The upstream side of the tobacco supply chain is needed to determine the performance that has been achieved. Therefore, research on the performance measurement of upstream tobacco supply chain at PR. X Malang is important. The purposes of this study are to describe the mechanism of implementation of tobacco supply chain management on the upstream side, and analyzing the performance of the upstream of the tobacco supply chain, and formulate a strategy to improve the upstream of supply chain performance. The analysis used in this study is based on the SCOR model with five core processes (plan, source, make, deliver, return) and five performance attributes (reliability, responsiveness, agility, cost, asset). This study uses 3 key informants consisting of farmers, collectors, and manufacturers with purposive techniques. The result of this study shows that the farmer performance needs an improvement based on the flexibility and TSCC (total supply chain cost) matrix performance, the collector performance needs an improvement based on TSCC performance matrix and manufacture performance needs an improvement based on the flexibility and TSCC matrix performance.

Abstract

Cardamom is a leading export commodity. The demand for cardamom continues to increase from year to year, where the increase in cardamom production is inseparable from the role of farmers as the main actors in supporting cardamom productivity. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and socio-economic motivations of cardamom farmers in Pekuncen and Kedungbanteng Districts, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. This research was conducted using descriptive analysis method using a Likert scale. Determining the number of respondents was carried out using stratified random sampling technique,where in this study the number of respondents was 97 farmers. The results of this study are that the majority of cardamom farmers are male and are of productive age. Cardamom farmers have the last education in elementary school (SD) and are in the low education category. Cardamom farmers have only started cultivating cardamom in less than 5 years. The average cardamom farmer has a family of 3-5 people. The socio-economic motivations that encourage farmers to cultivate cardamom are divided into three, namely economic, psychological and sociological motivations. Cardamom farmers in Pekuncen and Kedungbanteng Districts are driven by economic motivation which is in the moderate category. The majority of cardamom farmers are in the low category for fulfilling psychological motivation in cultivating cardamom. Cardamom farmers are driven by sociological motivation which is in the high category.

Abstract

Pontianak City has typical food souvenirs to support its tourism industry but still has problems in marketing the product. This situation has been getting worse since pandemic covid-19. This research aims to determine a marketing strategy for Pontianak food souvenirs MSMEs to increase their income. The research method uses a descriptive method with a SWOT analysis tool to determine alternative strategies. Samples were 19 informants consisting of 4 key informants and 15 regular informants. The SWOT analysis results led to a WO (Weakness - Opportunity) Strategy with five alternative strategies. 1) Promoting products through Facebook Ads. 2) Expand the marketing area by selling in supermarkets and e-commerces. 3) Utilize the government grants for MSMEs that Covid-19 hurt to promote and keep product availability. 4) Registering and displaying products at the Pontianak UMKM Center also has to participate in the business skills improvement program. 5) Participate in exporting programs and increasing product quality according to foreign market standards.

Abstract

Masyarakat menjadi lebih konsumtif dalam hal membeli produk, terutama makanan, sebagai akibat dari pandemi COVID-19. Kondisi ini juga disebabkan oleh anjuran pemerintah agar masyarakat tidak melakukan aktivitas di luar rumah. Masyarakat tetap dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pangannya dengan menggunakan jasa pengiriman online. Tujuan penelitian adalah  menganalisis kualitas layanan dan planned behavior terhadap kepuasan pelanggan dalam layanan driver online makanan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kota Malang, Jawa Timur dengan 62 responden yang diambil dengan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square) dengan software WarpPLS 7.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel kualitas layanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Variabel niat sebagai variabel mediasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Variabel sikap dan norma subjektif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap niat individu. Sedangkan, variabel kontrol perilaku persepsi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap niat. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, para pelaku usaha sejenis diharapkan dapat melakukan peningkatan kualitas layanan, seperti memperhatikan rating dari pelanggan dan menghimbau driver untuk mengikuti SOP (Standart Operating Procedure). Kemudian, pelaku usaha dapat meningkatkan kegiatan promosi dan memberikan kupon diskon dengan tujuan untuk terciptanya mouth to mouth di lingkungan masyarakat. Semakin individu percaya dan yakin terhadap jasa atau produk yang digunakan, maka akan terciptanya sebuah niat individu untuk melakukan pembelian produk.

Abstract

Drinks are fluids that are needed by the body, these drinks are categorized into healthy drinks and sweet drinks. Drink consumption changed during the Covid-19 pandemic, which is a new virus originating from Wuhan, China with a very fast spread that has an impact on the economy, changes in social relations, and changes in lifestyle. Efforts that can be made to reduce the spread of the virus is to maintain the body's immunity, one way is by consuming healthy drinks. Although healthy drinks for students during the pandemic have increased, the consumption of sweet drinks is still favored by students and until now there are still few studies that discuss the habits of consuming healthy drinks in students. The purpose of this study was to determine  of consumption of healthy drinks both before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative descriptive design with a survey method. The study was conducted on students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University batch 2020. The analytical method used was descriptive statistics with column diagrams, frequency distribution tables and cross tabulations. The results showed that there was an increase in the consumption of healthy drinks, namely herbal drinks and probiotic drinks during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) is one of the Indonesian government's policies in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemi. In the midst of the implementation of the policy, consumers are still buying food, one of which is vegetables, directly to traditional markets. This study uses a quantitative approach through descriptive statistical analysis and SEM-PLS analysis using WarpPLS 7.0. This study aims to examine the effect of the Theory of Planned Behavior variables, namely attitudes, subjective norms, and perceptions of behavioral control on consumer purchase intentions and vegetable purchasing decisions at Jatinegara Market during the COVID-19 pandemi. The types of data in this study are primary data and secondary data using 45 respondents who were determined using the judgment sampling method. The results showed that the variables of attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control had an effect on consumers' purchase intentions. The biggest indicator contribution to the attitude variable is convenience in making purchases. Meanwhile, the biggest indicator contribution to the subjective norm variable is support from close friends. And on the behavioral control perception variable, the biggest indicator is the ability to make purchases. Traders and market managers need to maintain and improve the application of health protocols in the Jatinegara Market area, especially during the COVID-19 pandemi, so that consumers' purchase intentions remain high to buy vegetables.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the response of farmers to the washing tools for pepper in the village of Petaling Banjar, Mendo Barat disrict, Bangka regency and to analyze the factors that influence the interest of farmers using pepper equipment in the village of Petaling Banjar, Mendo Barat district, Bangka regency. Time and place of this research was carried out from July 2020 to December 2020 in the village of Petaling Banjar, Mendo Barat district, Bangka regency. The research method used is a survey method. The sampling method used was quantitative descriptive with a likert scale and binary logistic regression. The results showed that the response of farmers to the use of pepper washing tools in the village of Petaling Banjar, Mendo Barat district, Bangka regency was categorized as good with a percentage of 74,2%. Cognitif response, namely the level of understanding and knowledge of the respondent farmers on pepper washing tools was 74,2%, a good response. Affective response, namely attitudes, assessments, and farmers interest in washing pepper was 74,2%, a good response. Conative response, namely the behavior or actions that have been taken by farmers to washing pepper tools, 38% of which responded well and 51,71% responded well enough. The factors that influence farmers interest in using pepper washing equipment in the petaling banjar village, Mendo Barat district are the amount of production, the perception of washing time, the perception of the level of ease of tools, and the perception of the quality of the results.

Abstract

Waru Barat Village is a Madura cattle center located in Waru District, Pamekasan Regency. Many people have Madura cattle farming businesses, but the situation on the ground shows that Madura cattle farms are still not supported. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of farmers and the amount of income of farmers, analyze the effect of breeder characteristics on income, and analyze the feasibility level of the Madura cattle business. Sampling using purposive sampling method with a sample size of 43 respondents. The analytical method used is descriptive quantitative with multiple linear regression and R/C ratio. The results of this study are that farmers in Waru District are classified as productive age, low education level, the number of livestock ownership is two tails with around 26 years of experience and has a family of two people and a small proportion are members of farmer groups. The average income earned by farmers is Rp1,166,390 per year. The characteristic factor that has a significant effect on the income of the Madura cattle business is the number of livestock ownership. The R/C ratio is 1.04, which means that the Madura cattle business is profitable, so it can be cultivated. Efforts that can be made to increase the income of farmers are developing the Madura cattle business by increasing the number of livestock ownership through the empowerment of communal cages to reduce farming costs incurred by farmers.

Abstract

The strategy to increase rice production is crucial to maintain food availability. The agricultural land expansion program in Central Kalimantan through the food estate program is considered an inappropriate solution considering social, environmental, and land conditions. The agricultural intensification method in Central Kalimantan is the answer to increasing the productivity of existing agricultural businesses by increasing production efficiency. This research aims to analyze the technical efficiency of lowland rice farming and the factors that influence it in Central Kalimantan province. This research used secondary data from the 2014 Rice Plantation Household Survey from the Central Statistics Agency. The data was analyzed using the stochastic frontier production function with Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE). The research results show that rice farming in Central Kalimantan is technically inefficient. Factors influencing the technical efficiency of rice farming are farmer age, land type, planting system, agricultural facilities, extension, farmer groups, and SLPTT participation. The low level of technical efficiency of rice farming in Central Kalimantan is an indicator that must be utilized to increase rice production so that food availability can be well-maintained.

Abstract

Rice is a staple food source for the Indonesian population. Rice commodity is an agricultural commodity that has a high enough risk and poses a threat to the welfare of rice farmers. The Badak river village is one of the villages that has superior agricultural commodities in Mesuji Regency in the form of rice plants. This research aims to identify the sources of risk faced by farmers in Sungai Badak Village, Mesuji District, Mesuji Regency and analyze the magnitude of the risk impact. The results of the analysis showed that the main sources of risk during planting season 1 were Plant Pest Organisms (OPT) and plant diseases, while the main risk sources in planting season 2 were weather / climate factors. Meanwhile, using the Z-Score shows a risk probability of 30 percent in planting season 1 and 26 percent in planting season 2, while the analysis using the VaR method, the resulting risk impact in planting season 1 is IDR 3,646,801 per hectare, while the risk impact on planting season 2 amounting to IDR 4,030,634, - per hectare.
