<![CDATA[Abstract: Pasar Cepogo is a public commercial centre in Cepogo. This traditional market is the preferred place to shop daily needs by the residents of Cepogo and people living in its surrounding area since it offers array of affordable prices. There are social aspects of the tradition manifested in the way bargains are settled. Yet, this market still has problems such as inconvenient environment, cluttered floor plan, uncharted activities, and decaying infrastructures. Based on these conditions, the design problem consists of creating a space to cater all activities in Pasar Cepogo and taking form fitting to its surrounding in order to maintain its existence as a traditional market. Redesign project of Pasar Cepogo aims to improve the condition of the market in order to provide convenient commercial space suiting present-day demand without leaving its traditional roots. Hence, contextual architecture approach is considered fit the notion. Contextual theme aspires to appropriate the redesigned building for its site, which concerns physical features, climate, culture, and local architecture aspects of the surrounding area. Physical features approach influence the site management adapted to the site conditions. Climate aspects approach is implemented into design response to the local climate, such as the use of a high and sloping roof, tritisan, and cross ventilation. The cultural approach is actualized into the space management adapted to the context of activities in Pasar Cepogo. Local architecture approach is implemented into the form and appearance of the building, adjusting Java architecture and Hindu architecture that once evolved in Cepogo. <![CDATA[Abstract: Solo Craft Gallery Expo is an effort to accommodate the presence of creative industries joined in the craft subsector SMEs, and facilitating MICE activities in the city of Solo. The space is in the form of art galleries as well as a market for good packaging and expo space with diverse capacities. Combining the two functions of this building is a strategy for mutually supporting each other’s existences. Gallery space presented as cultural charms, while the expo space plays a role in bringing visitors. The government policies in synergy with the city’s potential efforts to support and facilitate the development of the city for more advances physical quality and human resources. This system if it is associated with the city of Solo as location, intersects with the image which is the city of culture. This last issue is associated with contemporary architecture, which is an effort to locate and revive the values of cultural and society, as a reflection of the city’s identity. In this case, the Javanese architecture which is the local architecture and result of the Javanese cultural community life, deserve to be appreciated to exist as a force of local architecture. The process of aligning the image of the building with the city image of the building of Solo Craft Gallery Expo, carried out through the application of contemporary Javanese Architecture. <![CDATA[Construction of the rented simple flats is the option of government’s policy to meet the needs of adequate housing for low-income. The rented simple flats in Sukoharjo already inhabited 3 blocks of 6 blocks. The degree of occupancy will indirectly reflect quality the construction of flats. The problem in this study is whether development the rented simple flats in Sukoharjo complies with the standar of ideal housing. The purpose of research is the degree of conformity the rented simple flats in Sukoharjo as the standar of ideal housing. The method is used the deductive research methods with quantitative research. The analysis technique is used the analysis of scoring on any variable of the standards of ideal housing. The conclusions from this research is that there are nine variables known as the factors that influence the development of the rented simple flats in Sukoharjo as the ideal flats. The variables that have been suitable with the standar of ideal housing are the policy, the price of rent and accessibily. However, some variables that have not been optimal like the infrastructures, material contruction and the others. Consequently, Sukoharjo’s District Government and some of the parties concerned to repair deficiency and accommodate the needs of the community to achieve development the ideal flats. <![CDATA[Abstract: Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi is a national scale-hospital provided by Central Java provincial government in the city of Surakarta. Assigned as a class hospital in 2007, Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi led the citizen to have health service. The main activity of the district will be followed by the other development of the second activity. Hospital is one kind of main activities that can give impact to surrounding environment. Commercial activity area which is grow up around the hospital, such as boarding house, food court, convenience store and the other commercial services, gives impact to the sector’s revolution around the hospital. The issues in the research is the other utilization of the commercial area around the hospital which is effected by the change of health service of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi. This research aimed to find out the effect of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi’s health service change to the utilization commercial area around the hospital. The method used is deductive-explanative descriptive analysis technique. The data collected is a real observation, respondent interview and document–based data. The result of the research shows that the service of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi is increasingly change by the years. It equals with the utilization of the commercial area around Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi which is also increasing the commercial area so it can be concluded that the health service in Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Moewardi gives impact to the utilization of commercial area around because both changes that increased. <![CDATA[Ciputat Market is a regional scale traditional market in South Tangerang. In 2002, the construction of shopping centers and modern shops began to grow slowly in the area of South Tangerang. The operation of shopping centers and modern shops are getting closer and outreach to the people, on the one hand it has made it easier for people to buy goods of daily needs, but on the other hand it can impact the development of the traditional market, because consumers have many choices places to shop. The problem of this study was about the changing of consumers shopping preference that can effect the development of Ciputat Market. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of consumers shopping preferences towards the development of Ciputat Market in South Tangerang. The method used in this research is deductive with descriptive explanative technique analysis. While the data obtained is the result of field observations, questionnaires, and document research. The results of this study shows the preferences of consumer shopping in South Tangerang bases on the location of shopping vebues indicated a tendency to shop in other shopping venues rather than Ciputat market, while the development of the range of services markets tend to stagnate.Keywords: shopping preferences, development of traditional markets]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: Psychiatric disorder sufferers in Indonesia is increasing every year. This also happens in the Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta which is the province with the largest number of psychiatric sufferers in Indonesia. The phenomenon of the increasing psychiatric sufferers happen due to the lack of mental health services and facilities so that many sufferers of psychiatric disorders that have not been handled properly. The problem that arise in the design of Psychiatric Disorder and Schizophrenia Rehabilitation Center is how to create the design of rehabilitation center that accomodates the activities and needs of sufferers both physically and mentally based on behavior that indicated the sufferers. The goal is to get the container activities and needs that play a role in the healing of sufferers psychologically, socially, and spiritually with Behaviorism Architecture as the design concept. The methods used in the design of Psychiatric Disorder and Schizophrenia Rehabilitation Center is Behaviorism Concept. This concept was applied in architectural elements focused on three aspects, namely, privacy, comfort, and security. The application of the Behaviorism concept aims to meet the appropriate design in accordance with the surferrers’ behavior wihich is realized through optimization of potential site and the zonning concept. The basic form of the building is a square shape in combination with pyramid roof and sloping roof to get a homey impression. Likewise, the look of the building is made simple, but it capable to display the principles of Behaviorism Architecture. <![CDATA[Abstract: Despite its potentials to be developed as a farming district, Purbalingga faces numerous land reforms and decline of workforce in agriculture field. It also lacks proper agricultural education institution. This design proposal aims to solve the problems. Agriculture Vocational High School, applying Permaculture System in Purbalingga offers four focus programs: agriculture, livestock farming, fishery, and food technology. The school is not only providing education for the students, but also for the local farmers and entrepreneurs of the fiels. The applied permaculture approach asks for five principles (deduced from the fourteen original principles) to be fulfilled: integrated location, biological source, humanly scale, energy cycle, and power-source planning. <![CDATA[Adi Soemarmo International Airport is one of the terminal air transportation, which is currently being carried out development. Empirically, Adi Soemarmo International Airport have a direction towards the development of Surakarta is a corridor that connects the Adi Soemarmo International Airport with the city center of Surakarta. One of the corridors that developed along the development of Adi Soemarmo International Airport is an Adi Sucipto road corridor. Development in Adi Sucipto road corridor are emerging land use of commercial activities. The problem in this research is how to influence the development of Adi Soemarmo International Airport to changes in land use of trade and services in the Adi Sucipto road corridor? The purpose of research is influence the development of Adi Soemarmo International Airport to changes in land use of trade and services in the corridor of Adi Sucipto road corridor. The method used is the deductive research methods with quantitative research. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Conclusions from this research is the development of Adi Soemarmo International Airport influence to changes in land use of trade and services in the corridor of Adi Sucipto road corridor. The degree of influence can be divided into three classifications that is high levels of influence, medium levels of influence, and low levels of influence. High levels of influence, that is (1) the influence of the facility of Adi Soemarmo International Airport to function of land use and floor space ratio of trade and service in the corridor of Adi Sucipto road. (2) the influence of of the accessibility of Adi Soemarmo International Airport to function of land use and floor space ratio of trade and service in the corridor of Adi Sucipto road. <![CDATA[Abstract: Mental health is projected to be one of issues that would be a problem among people's live in the future. This issue is caused by a lack of knowledge and insight into the mental health community, as well as the negative stigma attached to people's perceptions of mental illness and the sufferers. The negative stigma hamper government and community efforts in creating mental health in the community. Stigma obstruct the recovery process of mental disorders that can happen to any human being and for the sufferers will be difficult to live in the midst of the general public. “balai kesehatan jiwa†that is designed aiming at providing a forum for people with mental disorders transition before returning to the life of society, as well as to create containers mental health services closer to the people so that the people who sought mental health can be achieved more efficiently.the concept of environment’s design  is applied using a basic principle as the basis of healing environmental considerations whole aspects both component architecture and components forming other neighborhoods that are conducive and supportive user’s mental health. <![CDATA[Abstract: The working world demands to the skilled workers encourage the job seekers attending non-formal training and education to increase their skills and expertise. In this case the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration through the Technical Managing Unit (UPT) Vocational Training Center (BLK) have important role in preparing the job training. Surakarta Vocational Training Center (BLK) is one of the training center located in Surakarta city which serves as a training and education place for the job seekers in their productive age from the city. As a potential educational and training facilities that still work properly, this building still has problems in some aspects, therefore in an attempt to keep its function well, need a plan to redesign. The redesign will be consists of creating a space to cater all the activitiesin Surakarta Vocational Training Center and taking form fitting to introduce its existence to society. The redesign method is Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) on the conditions and elements of the existing buiding, with the redesign strategy that emphasizes functional aspects, technical aspect such as building physical condition, and behavioural aspects to be solved in accordance with the concept of redesigning. This redesign method will be a reference in consideration of planning and design for the new building. The redesign of Vocational Training Center (BLK) in Surakarta city aims to improve the condition of the building and its surroundings in order to provide convenient education and training center.
