Abstract

Microlibrary merupakan replika perpustakaan Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung yang memiliki keunikan. Keunikan tersebut dapat terlihat dari letaknya yang strategis yaitu tepat berada disamping alun-alun Kota Bandung. Selain itu, Microlibrary menonjolkan keunikan koleksinya yang tidak dapat dipinjam. Microlibrary juga memiliki pemustaka yang beragam, mulai dari warga Bandung asli, anak-anak dan pedagang disekitar sana dan wisatawan luar daerah. Microlibrary is a unique replica of the Bandung City Archives and Library Service library. This uniqueness can be seen from its strategic location, namely right next to the Bandung City Square. Apart from that, Microlibrary emphasizes the uniqueness of its collection which cannot be borrowed. Microlibrary also has a variety of users, ranging from native Bandung residents, children and traders around there and tourists from outside the area.

Abstract

Education is one of the determinants of the sustainability of human resources to support progress. Education, in general, is in formal form. One of the non-formal education efforts to increase people's interest in literacy is the Community Reading Parks, commonly called Community Reading Parks. Community Reading Park is a non-formal institution that provides information sources to meet community needs. The existence of TBM is an implementation of the fourth point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program related to quality education with subtheme 4.6 literacy and numeracy. Growing interest in literacy is not easy, but requires ongoing innovative activities so people can continue to be active. This research aims to determine how high the interest in literacy is with the community's existence of Community Reading Parks (TBM). The research method uses a literature review study with descriptive explanations. The study in writing the literature review study used sources from the last five years, namely from 2019 to 2023. Data collection techniques were obtained from online literature sources such as Google Scholar by acquiring 30 articles and 15 articles for literature review studies. This research provides results including the role of Community Reading Parks being divided into three categories: 1) The role of  Community Reading Parks in increasing literacy and interest in reading; 2) The role of Community Reading Parks in improving the quality of education; and 3) The role of Community Reading Parks in increasing artistic and cultural creativity. All activities in each Community Reading Park increase literacy and reading interest, support education quality, and increase artistic and cultural creativity. The conclusion from this research is that Community Reading Parks play a role in increasing literacy in the surrounding community with the work programs that have been implemented.

Abstract

Organizing and managing records is very important in the management of information and documents. The Record Center of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Padjadjaran is an institution that has duties and responsibilities in managing the document archives of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Padjadjaran. The archive management system at the Record Center of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Padjadjaran has been carried out properly and regularly, but there are still some obstacles to be faced, such as the lack of media equipment facilities. To overcome these obstacles, several efforts need to be made such as increasing storage on computers and improving facilities and infrastructure. With a good and organized record management system, it is expected to improve the performance and effectiveness of the Faculty of Dentistry, Padjadjaran University in managing documents and information related to academic and administrative activities.

Abstract

The development of advanced information technology can make it easier for every agency to manage important documents. Archives are one of the important documents that must be managed by archivists, which will later be used as accountability materials. The development of information technology has given rise to various archival systems. Archives that are stored electronically can make it easier for archive users to fulfil their information needs. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques obtained from informants involved in digital archive management activities carried out by DPUPRPKP Malang City. The existence of electronic archives can affect the effectiveness of organisations in carrying out archive management, archive maintenance, and archive shrinkage. The theory used in this research is the record continuum. The record continuum theory is a model of archive management with control through the system from the time the archive is created until the archive can be accessed by the public. The purpose of this research is to describe the digital archive pattern in supporting organisational effectiveness at DPUPRPKP Malang City and describe the obstacles found in the digital archive management pattern in supporting organisational effectiveness at DPUPRPKP Malang City.

Abstract

This research explores the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in library services. It investigates AI's potential to enhance efficiency, personalize service delivery, and improve library collection management. The study employs qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews and document analysis, with a focus on academic and public libraries that have integrated AI. The findings reveal positive acceptance of AI by library professionals, increased user satisfaction, and the potential for more dynamic library services. However, challenges such as staff training and data privacy issues exist. AI's role in collection management is also highlighted. This research contributes to understanding AI's implications for libraries and underscores the need for responsible AI implementation.

Abstract

The problem of many unused library materials in a library may be due to the mismatch of the collection with the needs of library users. Some users are not satisfied with the library because the collection or information available in the library does not match what they want. So it is necessary to find out the needs of users so that all collections can be utilized properly by users because it suits their needs. The purpose of this research is to find out the analysis of user needs in the library. This research uses a narrative literature review method from references related to the topic of user needs analysis in libraries with a total of 10 references analyzed. Public libraries, national libraries, school libraries, college libraries, and special libraries will all be included in this study. The characteristics of library users differ depending on their information needs and background. In essence, the public are the main users of the library. People who utilize the library have a wide range of needs, including students, lecturers, teachers, staff, and the general public. User needs analysis activities conducted by libraries are done in various ways such as interviews, observations, case studies, and others. The community acts as the main user of the library. The community will assist the library in every user needs analysis activity. Therefore, the community will also determine the collections that must be in the library according to their respective information needs. This research will produce user needs analysis activities that have been carried out by various libraries with different users according to the type of library.Keyword:Analysis of user needs, collections, libraries

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan informasi petani melon Desa Mojorejo dan upaya dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi. Hal ini ditinjau dari faktor yang mendorong kebutuhan informasi petani melon. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan informasi didorong oleh adanya motivasi dari petani senior serta adanya masalah pada lahan pertanian. Upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi petani melon dilakukan dengan pencarian informasi melalui media internet dan secara konvensional untuk meningkatkan produktivitas hasil pertanian melon.  This study aims to determine the information needs of melon farmer in Mojorejo Village and efforts to fulfill this information need. This is seen from the factors that drive the information needs of melon farmers. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the need for information was driven by motivation from senior farmers and problems with agricultural land. Effort to fulfill the information needs of melon farmers are carried out by searching for information through internet media and conventionally to increase the productivity of melon farming froducts.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan untuk pengelola perpustakaan merupakan hal yang dibutuhkan untuk dapat meningkatkan kompetensi dan menjadi seorang profesional. Di era yang semakin modern ini, program pelatihan dapat dilaksanakan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi. Perpustakaan UPI mengembangkan sebuah platform pelatihan berbasis LMS moodle yang diberi nama LibModo. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui analisis sistem platform LibModo berdasarkan Desain Antar Muka, Penggunaan Sistem Informasi, Interaksi Manusia - Komputer, serta Kolaborasi dan Komunitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan analisis data persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian secara keseluruhan platform LibModo sudah memenuhi aspek dalam analisis sistem sebagai platform pelatihan pengembangan kompetensi pengelola perpustakaan dengan analisis sistem yang menunjukan hasil yang sangat baik.

Abstract

Menemukan apa yang dilakukan Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Sumatra Utara untuk membantu mahasiswa meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi ilmiah, serta faktor-faktor apa yang membantu dan faktor apa yang menghambat upaya ini, adalah tujuan utama penelitian ini. Pendekatan penelitian kualitatif berdasarkan metode deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian adalah aktivitas yang yang dilakukan pustakawan UINSU dalam mengembangkan komunikasi ilmiah yaitu membangun Repository, penerbitan Jurnal Ilmiah dan melanggan Jurnal (E-Journal). Faktor  pendukungnya adalah akreditasi dan referensi mahasiswa. Sedangkan faktor penghambatnya adalah ialah SDM dan dana anggaran.

Abstract

Tujuan dari dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penataan dan pengelompokkan arsip yang dapat memudahkan sistem temu kembali arsip pada Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Provinsi Jawa Barat. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan seorang arsiparis yang ada pada Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Provinsi Jawa Barat. Objek dari penelitian ini adalah kantor dari Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Provinsi Jawa Barat pada bagian kearsipan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti ialah observasi dan wawancara serta dokumentasi sebagai bahan untuk pembuktian. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti ialah penataan dan pengelompokkan arsip yang digunakan pada arsip Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Provinsi Jawa Barat ialah menggunakan teknik kombinasi yaitu penggabungan antara tanggal dan nomor dari arsip tersebut. Penataan dan pengelompokkan arsip pada Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Provinsi Jawa Barat dapat dibilang sudah cukup baik dengan menggunakan sebuah teknik dalam pengelompokkan arsipnya agar memudahkan arsiparis dan pihak lainnya dalam temu kembali arsip. The purpose of this research is to find out how the arrangement and grouping of archives can facilitate the archive retrieval system at the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Java Province. The type of research conducted by researchers is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. The subject of this study was an archivist at the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Java Province. The object of this study is the office of the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Java Province in the archives section. Data collection techniques used by researchers are observation and interviews as well as documentation as material for proof. The result of the research conducted by the researcher is the arrangement and grouping of archives used in the archives of the Population and Civil Registration Service of West Java Province using a combination technique, namely combining the date and number of the archive. The arrangement and grouping of archives at the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Java Province is arguably good enough by using a technique in grouping archives to facilitate archivists and other parties in retrieving archives.
