<![CDATA[Breeders in Cibitung Kulon Village, Pamijahan District of Bogor Regency were farmers who implemented the partnership system. The breeders were plasma breeders with proprietary cages in capacity of 15,000 to 70,000 chickens. Under these conditions, it was important for all owners of the cage as the plasma to be able to manage the availability of feed and other livestock production to prevent any delay in feeding and make sure provision of the appropriate dosage of vitamins regularly as what was happened in independent breeders. Therefore, the competence of independent farmers in managing livestock business, and the factors associated with the level of farmers competence were described in descriptive analysis and analysed by statistical test of Spearman’s Rank. Noted that the farmers in this study were in the productive age where the majority were high school graduated, owned cages with area of 1000-1500 m2, while the role of extensions were quite well. The level of competence of broiler breeders in Cibitung Kulon village was still not very good, and the factors related to the competence of livestock breeders in running the broiler enterprise include age, length of the business running and the area of cage. While the level of education and the role of the extension were not related.]]>

<![CDATA[Many companies in Indonesia are competing to become superior companies and they have to fight hard to keep their business going. This study aims to determine what strategies are used to maintain its business and see if the presence of home industry shoes is able to empower the surrounding community. Through the process of interviewing and observation, it can be seen that the strategy of business sustainability using assets nirwujud sustainable business. The results showed that the strategy undertaken by shoe home industry owned by Mr. Haryono able to survive until now by applying the strategy of micro and mezzo aras. As well as the stages of empowerment as well as through the Business Sustainability Indicators where the business sustainability index is divided into three parts namely, (1) the index of business sustainability on the ecological dimension, (2) the index of business sustainability on the economic dimension and, (3) the index of business sustainability on the social dimension. Mr. Haryono has also succeeded in empowering the surrounding community by changing their mindset by providing motivation so that some of their former employees are also able to capitalize the business with the skills acquired during work in the home industry of Mr. Haryono's shoes.]]>

<![CDATA[Strengthening farmer groups has been carried out as an effort to regenerate farmers through fostering partner villages. The study aimed to analyze descriptively the performance of farmer group strengthening, participation and motivation of farmer youth and analyze the influence of farmer group reinforcement on farmer's youth participation and motivation in agricultural business. Research has been carried out in Leuwiliang District, Bogor Regency. The study population was farmer youth as members of farmer groups who were targeted by partner villages. The next population became the respondents of the study as many as 60 people taken by census. The research variables consisted of individual characteristics (X1), strengthening farmer groups (X 2), farmer youth participation (Y1) and farmer youth motivation (Y2). Statistical analysis used descriptive and regression statistical analysis. The results showed that the strengthening of partner farmer groups was at high criteria, participation and motivation of farmer youth was in the medium category. The participation of farmer youth is influenced by perceptions, access to ICT and strengthening farmer groups. Motivation of farmer youth is influenced by perceptions, access to ICT, strengthening farmer groups and participation in agricultural activities.]]>

<![CDATA[Red chili takes concern from various circles since its price big enough fluctuating, even would affect the inflation. This can lead to domino effect which is could be ended to the market failure. Stabilization of prices through the issuance of policies by the Government is one way to solve market failure. This research aims to analyze price volatility, and analyze the impact of policy determination of reference price for purchasing at farmer and reference price for selling at consumer on curly red chili and big red chili in Indonesia which is build using ARCH-GARCH model. Based on the results, price volatility of curly red chili was influenced by volatility one previous period and variant one previous period, while price volatility of big red chili was influenced by volatility one previous period and variant two previous period. The implementation of policy determination of reference price for purchasing at farmer and reference price for selling at consumer cause price volatility of curly red chili and big red chili after the policy constant until the end of the period of analysis.]]>

<![CDATA[The increases of demand for vegetables with more hygienic criteria is getting higher. One of the hydroponic vegetables business actor in South Tangerang City is Hydroponic Koe Garden CV Kelapa Agro Lestari which focuses commodity of oriental vegetables with hydroponic method (Nutrient Film Technique) and without shade of greenhouse in hydroponic cultivation process. The aim of this research are analyzing the profit obtained from oriental vegetables farming and measuring the efficiency level of oriental vegetables farming with NFT hydroponic system without greenhouse shade based on R/C ratio on Hydroponic Koe Garden in Cipayung Village, South Tangerang City, Banten Province. This research was conducted from May to July 2018. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive research. Data analysis method used in this research is the cost structure analysis, profit and efficiency analysis of farming based on R/C ratio. The results of the research showed that although Hydroponic Koe Garden CV Kelapa Agro Lestari producing the same types of vegetables with conventional vegetables such as water spinach, caysim and pakcoy, the business remain profitable and efficient. Based on R/C ratio analysis of hydroponic oriental vegetables in Hydroponic Koe Garden are efficient to run (R/C ratio > 1). The R/C rasio for water spinach, caysim and pakcoy commodity are1,17, 1,07 and 1,22 respectively. Hydroponic pakcoy commodity is the most efficient and profitable commodity to run.]]>

<![CDATA[Role division in households between man and woman has been the cultural legacy of the community. This division put man as family head and women as housewife. Roles of men and women are beginning to shift recently, and this phenomenon is identified as gender role displacement. Research is aimed to analyze gender role in households of small island community. This research is using qualitative descriptive approach that utilizes key informant as the main source of information, who then will be set into harmony with other informants. Waeheru Village and Passo Village are selected as research location. The former provides 17 informants while the latter gives 67 informants. Total informant is 84 persons. Result of research shows that gender role displacement is really occuring in the households of small island community. Woman helps the husband to serve household necessities through various economic activities. In general, woman in small island does many economic activities relating with crop planting, gardening, animal husbandry, and fishery. The variety of activity that woman should do is indicating the variety of gender role that woman must play. Woman activities indeed have great contribution to the fulfillment of household necessities in small island community.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to identify the status of food security of paddy farmer households between monoculture and integrated farmers in Pangkalan District, Karawang Regency. The research was conducted from June to September 2018. This research is quantitative research with survey techniques. The sampling technique in this study was carried out by stratified random sampling . By identifying areas and farmers have potential in rice farming and cattle breeding then selected Tamanmekar village, Tamansari village, and Medalsari village in the Pangkalan district base has the highest number of integrated farming according to data from the initial survey prior to the study. The total number of samples obtained was 107 samples of monoculture farmers and integrated respondents. The number of samples is further divided into the number of respondents of monocultural rice farmers (61 respondents) and integrated farmers (46 respondents). Data analysis uses an analysis of the share of food expenditure and t test to determine the impact of integrated agriculture on household food security. Overall the number of farmer household respondents with the category of food expenditure share <60% or food resistance as many as 69 respondents (64.49%), while the number of households with a share of expenditure ≥ 60% or food insecurity was 38 respondents (35.51%) . The test results of different test using t test showed p-value obtained at 0, 344. When compared with the significant level of 5%, the p-value is greater so it is concluded that it is not there is a difference between the share of agricultural expenditure in the group of monoculture farmers and integrated farmers. It means that integrated farming doesn’t have an impact on food security.]]>

<![CDATA[Soybean is one of food crops in order that become attention from the government because the request of the soybean as a raw material keep rising throughout the day. Seeing this condition the government introduced a program to increase soybean production. The Jatiwaras Village, Jatiwaras Sub District, Tasikmalaya District become one of the center of soybean development. This study attempts to analyzed levels of prosperity and poverty in soybean farmers at the Village of Jatiwaras. The research uses exchange farmers rate and exchange household income. The results of research to analyses the prosperity of soybean farmers in the Jatiwaras Village using NTP and NTPRP shows that the prosperity of farmers were still low at category value of NTP is 61,18 and value of NTPRP is 0,62 it is because that the income the receive from soybean farming is not able to satisfy the needs of households soybean farmers.]]>

<![CDATA[Seedlings, their offering behavior is different from other commodity seeds. This is due to the shelf life of shallot seeds which are very short and volumeous. These two things cause different behaviors, namely in abundant seasons the price of seed shallots is lower than in the rare harvest season. This behavior has limited the ability of farmers to be able to access shallots seeds. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence onion seed supply. This research is focused on the type of Bima Thin Skin onion. The study was conducted in Tonjong Village, Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency. Determination of the location is done purposively with sampling techniques done by Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the supply of seed shallots, including: seed prices, NPK prices, TSP prices, and insecticide costs. The number of samples selected 54 of a total population of 155 people. Sample The results showed that there was a positive influence between the price of TSP fertilizer, Fungicide Costs, Insecticide Costs, on the amount of onion production offered, and there was a negative relationship between the price of onion seeds, NPK fertilizer price on the amount of production offered.]]>

<![CDATA[The growth of palm sugar production in Lebak Regency as a center of palm sugar in Banten Province continues to show a positive trend so that it is an important source of income for many households in Lebak Regency. The purpose of this study was to analyze the household economic behavior of palm sugar farmers which included the outlay of working time of farmer household members, production and income and household consumption expenditure of palm sugar craftsmen in Lebak Regency. The research data used are primary and secondary data which are processed descriptively and quantitatively. Quantitative data is processed using a simultaneous equation model with the least squares method (2SLS). The outpouring of work on aren business is significantly affected by the number of sugar palm trees owned and the outpouring of work time on non-aren businesses. Job outpouring on non-aren business is significantly affected by income from non-aren business while other variables do not significantly influence. Variables that significantly influence palm sugar production are production costs and the number of sugar palm trees owned. While the outpouring of aren business work time has no significant effect on production.]]>
