Abstract

Specifically this study attempts to 1) provide information accurate data about levels of students social intelligence 2) To present an accurate data about the level of students social intelligence based on ethnicity. This research use descriptive- quantitative methodology. This research use purposive sampling of 120 students Faculty of Education. Research instrument used social intelligence scale consisting of 70 items. Data were processed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA test. Based on these results we can conclude that 1) 61.7% Students are at a high level of social intelligence, 38.3% Students are at moderate levels of social intelligence, 0% Students are at a low level of social intelligence; 2) There are significant differences between the scores of social intelligence in all regions.

Abstract

Aggressiveness is an action intended to injure objects that are subjected physically or verbally to a disposition of frustration or anger. High aggressiveness is influenced by the low social welfare of students, if social welfare is high then aggressive behavior can be avoided. This research that is descriptive and correlational, sampling technique used is random sampling. The results of this study indicate that the social welfare level of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kepanjen included in the high category as many as 142 people (83,52 %), And for the level of aggressiveness of 70 people (41,17%) included in the low category. In this case it can be said that there is a significant negative relationship between social welfare with the aggressiveness of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kepanjen. The main research findings are significant relationship whit negative direction (r hitung = -0,283 dan r tabel = 0,148 at the level of significance 0,05, r hitung -0,283 > r tabel = 0,148. Thus it can be concluded that the correlation test Product moment results indicate that there is a significant and negative relationship between social welfare with the aggressiveness of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kepanjen. The purpose of negative relationship direction is the higher the value of variable X, then followed by the low variable Y.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to know: (1) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselors and students, (2) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and school staff, (3) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and parents. Used study evaluation using a mixed method design, which combined quantitative and qualitative methods. Mixed Methods is a research method that use more than one method or with a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Research instrument consists of a questionnaire of interpersonal communication skills and interpersonal communication skills interview guide. Results of research resulted in the description and analysis (1) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselors and students, (2) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and school staff, (3) Evaluation of interpersonal communication skills between counselor and parents.

Abstract

Graduate students are in early adulthood at the age of 18 to 40 years. As adolescence moves intoadulthood, adulthood (emerging adulthood) is marked by experimentation and exploration. Hedonlifestyle can not be separated from the world of students. Students tend to have a hedon lifestyle inorder not to be labeled obsolete or old age kids. This research uses qualitative research with casestudy type with research subject of guidance and counseling students of State University of Malangclass of 2016. The conclusion shows that graduate student has a hedonism lifestyle is done to getpleasure so that encourage them to complete their duty.

Abstract

Multicultural awareness is the foundation of communication and it involves the ability of standing back from ourselves and becoming aware of our cultural values, beliefs and perceptions. Multicultural awareness becomes central when we have to interact with people from other cultures. People see, interpret and evaluate things in a different ways. What is considered an appropriate behavior in one culture is frequently inappropriate in another one.this research use descriptive- quantitative methodology to indentify level of students multicultural awareness specifically will be identified by gender and academic years. This research will identify multicultural awareness based on differences of gender, academic years. This research use random and purposive random sampling of 650 students from university. These studies identify of multicultural awareness 3% in high condition, 82,6 % medium, and 5,8% in low. Further, there is a significant difference in the level of multicultural awareness based on gender and academic year. These findings could not be generalized because of the limited sample and ethnicity; it should need a wider research so that can be generalized and recommended the efforts to development and improvement of multicultural awareness conditions for optimization the services. Abstract

Individual counseling with modeling techniques has been proven effective in increasing the strength of the character of temprence. Clients were very active in participating in each counseling session. Researchers can observe clients clearly on each counseling process. This study used qualitative method with types of grounded research and descriptive tchnique so that the analysis is very clear and detailed. The three counselees clients who conducted individual counseling can be analyzed experiencing an increasement in the power of temprence character. Research was conducted on three counselees, the results of the study proved effective to develop the strength of the character of temperance, it can be seen that there is evidence first counselee are able to be better at people who hurt them, able to make friends with everyone, be able to do tasks more timely and can control emotions more. second counselee also get better by being able to appreciate their friends as well as third counselee who can control emotions more when find unpleasant situations.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the new vision of school counselors in order to improve the quality of education services. This study uses library research methods by reviewing reference books, scientific journals, documents, magazines, legislation and the results of similar studies accessed through an open journal system via internet search. The data collected was analyzed by using conten analysis techniques to obtain theories or concepts in answering the problem of this research. The results of the study show that the implementation of a new vision of school counselors can improve the quality of education services in schools and madrasah. To that end, the performance of the school counselor is no longer positioned in the relief effort to overcome the problem of students, but the counselor carries out counseling to help students who are undergoing the process of self-development in order to achieve optimal development, independence and happiness in living life. Among the new visions of the school counselor are; (1) academic focus/ student achievement, (2) building based on student strengths, (3) counselors as program leaders, planners and developers, (4) focusing on academic counseling, learning and achievement, and supporting student success, (5) counseling is an integral part of the education system, (6) counseling services focus on mission and role identification, (7) using data to influence change, etc.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there are currently around 21 million elderly people or about 9.6% of the entire population of Indonesia. This shows that the Indonesian state has begun to belong to the aging population group. This research is motivated by the motivation of how to work for the elderly in building the independence of life. The purpose of the research is to describe and analyze the psychological impacts that affect the readiness to enter retirement, as well as how to build life independence and self-acceptance towards readiness to retire. The research design is qualitative descriptive. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Sources of data are obtained from informants, places, events and documents. Data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through stages, namely the data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusions. Data validity, with technical triangulation, is by checking data to the same source with different techniques. The results of the study indicate that the independence of life of the elderly is relative. Psychological impacts that arise in the readiness to enter retirement for the elderly include aspects of health, economic aspects and social aspects. Understanding and building self-reliance and self-acceptance of readiness to retire in the Ngawi Cempaka Posyandu Family Elderly through Elderly Counseling.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know empirically the effectiveness of classical sociodrama techniques to improve the adjustment of students ten class MIPA specialization program. The method of this research is experimental research, and use one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were taken using simple random sampling technique with threety six students. The instrument that used in this research is the scale of adjustment to the MIPA specialization program. Data analysis using analysis describtive. The results showed that this study was effective. From the results of this research, It means that the classical guidance of sociodrama techniques is effective to improve the adjustment of students ten class MIPA specialization program.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce an academic stress scale to measure the stress level of students who have high validity and reliability. So that it can facilitate counselors in helping students with academic stress problems. This development research uses a method or strategy developed by Borg and Gall involving 300 students. The sample of this study were junior high school students aged 13-16 years who were selected with cluster random sampling technique, Pearson Product Moment data analysis, Cronbach Alpha, normality test and factor analysis. This development research resulted in academic stress instruments consisting of 31 valid items and 15 correlating factors. So that the final results of this academic stress inventory can be used to measure students' academic stress levels.
