Abstract

The background of this research is conducted because there are similarities between Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) and Problem-Based Learning approach (PBM) which are a learning approach that leads students to constructivist learning and low mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students of math class. The aim of this research is to discover the greater influence among PMR, PBM, or conventional approach in improving students' mathematical problem solving ability. The research method used is quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The populations are all fourth graders in Arjawinangun subdistrict which are in the superior group of academic year 2016/2017. The sampling technique used cluster sampling with three classes required as samples. The result of this study indicates that PBM approach gives greater influence than PMR and conventional approach in improving students' mathematical problem solving ability.

Abstract

 This research was conducted as an effort to improve the quality of process and learning result from paragraph writing skill of Indonesian subject in SDN Wargaluyu Kecamatan Ganeas Kabupaten Sumedang through the application of Model Concept Sentence with the game Sherlock Holmes and The Adventure Book. The result of observation and the interview on the initial data indicated that present the problem with the writing competence of student. Based on the problem which is found on the learning process, then the selected method in this research is class action research with Kemmis and Mc Taggart design. Over all, the improvement ofprocess and the result learning occured in three times cycle. The collecting data for research importance was conducted through observation technique, interview, test, and field record. All data which has been found were validated with member check, triangulation, audit trail and expert opinion.  The result of processing data showed that model Concept Sentence with game Sherlock Holmes and The Adventure Book are able to improve the process and the learing result from paragraph writing skill of third grade students of SDN Wargaluyu.

Abstract

Early data showed that 23 students from 36 students from third grade Corenda Elementary School as subject research still not yet reached the target. Beside that 12 out 36 students still struggles with self-confidence learning. Caused by less of media variation and the selection of learning approach wthich not emphasized the differences of learning type student. Researcher wanna solved the problem with applying SAVI approach. Researcher used kuantitative research method and kualitative spiral model classroom action research started with planning, immplementation, observation, and reflection. Improved porved by the observation at planning step, first cycles (83,3%), second cycles (100%). Implementation of teacher activity at first cycles (87,9%), second cycles (100%). Students activity at first cycles (68,2%), and second cycles (82,7%). Result learning at first cycles (58,3%) and second cycles (86,1%). Self-confidence’s student at first cycles (58,8%), and second cycles (89,1%). Therefore, by applying SAVI approached, result learning and self-confidence Corenda Elementary School students Cisitu Subdistriction Sumedang Regency had improved.

Abstract

This research is based on the idea that instructional media is needed in the classroom learning as a tool to facilitate in conveying the subject that is considered as quite complex. One of the media that can be used in learning is audio-visual media.This study aims to determine the effect of audio-visual media on students' learning results of volcanic nature event of high, medium and low groups. This study used pre-experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study is all fifth grade students of SD all Lemahabang subdistrict in Cirebon regency. The sample of this research is the fifth grade students of SDN I Asem and SDN III Lemahabang with all students from both schools grouped into high, medium, and low group based on the results of natural science basic ability test. The research data obtained from the test of students’ learning result of volcanic natural event subject while students' response obtained from questionnaire given after learning and posttest take place. Data analysis has been done shows that: (1) Audio-visual media give positive effect to the improvement of student learning outcomes in high, medium and low group. (2) Learning using audio-visual media does not show a different positive effect on increasing learning outcomes between high, medium and low groups. Abstract

From the findings in the field, the results of learning IPS on the material of the historical heritage of Islam in Indonesia is still less than the maximum. As an effort to improve learning outcomes, a cooperative learning model (jigsaw) is supported by the puzzle media. Classroom Action Research Methods are performed with an implementation procedure that refers to the Kemmis Taggart spiral model. The instrument is a teacher performance observation sheet in planning and implementing learning, student activities, learning outcomes, and field notes. The results of action implementation, the percentage of teacher performance in planning cycle I 86%, cycle II and III reach the target that is 100%. Percentage of teacher performance in implementing cycle I 83%, cycle II 92,9%, and 100% cycle III. Percentage of student activity of cycle I 53%, cycle II 83%, and cycle III 90%. The percentage of learning result in preliminary data from 33 students only 9 people (27%) who complete the KKM is 70. A complete cycle of 18 students (60%), cycle II 26 people (86.7%), and cycle III 27 people (90%) exceeded the target of 82%. Thus, through the application of cooperative learning model (jigsaw) media-assisted puzzle student learning outcomes on the material of Islamic heritage in Indonesia can be increased.

Abstract

Mathematical representation ability is needed in mathematics, so that the barriers that occur in developing the ability of student representation should be anticipated by the learning and teaching materials in accordance with characteristics of students tailored to the ability developed. This research uses the method of didactical design research (DDR) method. The purpose of this research is to make didactic designs based on the obstacles that arise in the implementation of preliminary study, and take the material of the spatial webs geometry and develop the ability of mathematical representation. In this study using realistic mathematics learning approach, in this approach students are required to find their own knowledge. This research focuses on the development of teaching materials in the form of student worksheets, in the student worksheets arranged based on obstacles that occur later then validated by experts, in addition to making teaching materials and learning implementation plan in this study also makes predictions of student responses and pedagogical didactic anticipation. The conclusions drawn from didactic design research to determine the spatial webs for developing mathematical representations of grade V elementary school students.

Abstract

In skill writing students particular learning the indonesian language should owned by each student because that easier to understand every word learned it.In terms of summarizing, students is expected to develop a language she had own.One strategy that can be used teachers by using the method observation, prune, pair, call ( 4P ), can solve the problems in terms of summarizing story.Through this method students will be easy working on a summary clearly, short, and dense. Can then be packed into several a sentence or paragraph.Occurring at the time of in the field, not all the teacher use this method when learning summarizing ongoing.Because this method rarely worn in primary schools.This article discuss regarding the application of observation method, prune, padukan, call ( 4P) to improved the skills of writing students in summarizing story in grade 5 at SDN Pasanggrahan 2 kecamatan sumedang south sumedang district.

Abstract

This research based on the results of preliminary observation on learning natural science in class V SDN Cinangsi, it is known that student learning outcome on the material nature of light is still very low. This is because the teachers only used lecture methods in performing learning. Therefore, this research is conducted by applying learning cycle model on the material nature of light. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK). This research used design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Instruments used in the research are guidance of teacher planning and performance observation,  guidance of student activity observation, interview guidance, notes field format, and evaluation questions. Student learning outcomes when preliminary data only reached 22.6%, cycle I achieve 54.8%, cycle II 80.6%, and cycle III reach 94%. Thus, can be concluded that the learning cycle model can improve the learning outcom of students on material nature of light.

Abstract

 This study aims to describe the application of multimedia animation history in improving the learning achievement of IPS students of grade V SD N Cigentur. This type of research is Action Research Class (Action Research). The research design used Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subjects of the study were the students of class V of 25 students consisting of 10 male students and 15 female students. Data collection techniques use observation, tests, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis technique is done descriptively, quantitative, and qualitative. The results showed that the use of multimedia can improve IPS learning achievement for students. The pre-action stage shows that the achievement of class V students in IPS subjects is low. The average grade value reached 43.68 while the learning mastery of 24%. In cycle I, students' learning mastery increased by 16% (initial condition 24% increased to 40%). In the second cycle, with the improvement and modification of multimedia learning, along with the management of group formation adapted to students 'cognitive abilities and reward, students' learning achievement increased by 48% (cycle I condition 40% increased to 88%). Learning achievement in cycle II has met the success indicator because 80% of students have reached score 70 .
