Abstract

This research is motivated by low student narrative writing skill. The purpose of the study so that students can write narrative essay using the skeleton essay and the use of capital letters and dots well through the model of learning PWIM. The PWIM model (Picture Word Inductive Model) seeks to improve the narrative writing skill in grade IV B SDN Ketib academic year 2016/2017. The subjects were 22 students of grade IV B. Based on the test results with KKM initial data 66,7 shows that 22 people in writing narrative text only 2 people (9,09%) expressed completely. The remaining 20 people (90.91%) have not been completed. This study was conducted for three cycles. The instruments used were observation, interviews, field notes and tests. The results show that there is an increase in terms of basic ideas, skeletons, and the use of capital letters and dots. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of this PWIM model can improve narrative writing skills in grade IV B SDN Ketib.

Abstract

Initial research conducted on students of grade V SDN 1 Kepongpongan about mathematics subject matter that is the addition of fractions to get the value of learning outcomes that have not been satisfactory.Therefore, there should be efforts made to overcome the problem is by doing game Paste Sort (Egg) media colored paper aid in learning about the addition of fractions. Research method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). According to preliminary data of student learning result, obtained as many as 6 students or 17% is stated thoroughly and 29 other students or about 83% expressed unfinished. In the first cycle has increased, as many as 16 students or about 46% passed and 19 other students or about 54% declared unfinished. In the second cycles, increased by quite drastically as many as 35 students or 100% expressed in learning.

Abstract

Indonesian students have low science literacy skills. It is known from PISA results that Indonesian students’ average score is lower than international average score. The purpose of this study is to find out the influence of contextual teaching and learning on students’ science aspects. The method used is pre-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study is the fifth grade students of SDN Situraja in 2016/2017 academic year, which amounted to 63 students. The instrument used is science literacy test type description that refers to science literacy aspect. The results showed a significant increase in science literacy skills after applied contextual teaching and learning. But, there was no significant difference between male and female students. However, there are differences in basic intelligence and social factors between male and female students.

Abstract

During earlier data observation on the study of Social Sciences, some problems faced by students are found, that is teacher’s lack of learning media that results in student’s lack of motivation in learning and low achievement. Based on the problem found, the use of Dart Board Media is Applied. The0purpose0of0this0research is0to0find planning, process, and increase of students’ motivation and achievement. On the first term, students motivation achieve 91,92%, on second term 96,89% and 100% on the third term. For the learning achievement  34,79% on the first term, 60,86% on the second term and 86,95% on the third term. From the shown data results we can conclude that the use of dart board media can increase students’ motivation and learning achievement on learning the material Kinds of Businesses and Economical Activities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian iini bertujuann untuk meningkatkann kemampuannkoneksi dan pemahaman matematis siswaapada materii bilangan bulat dengann menggunakann pendekatan RME dan kontekstual. Metode penelitiann yang digunakann dalaam penelitiian adalah penelitian eksperimen pretes-postes. Populasii pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar se-Kecamatan Arjawinangun, kelas eksperimen RME yaitu siswa kelaas IV SDN 3 Arjawinangun sebagai kelas eksperimen kontekstual yaitu kelass IV SDN 1 Arjawinangun. Instrumen yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah instrumen soal pretes-postes, angket respon siswa, lembar observasi kinerja guru, dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis nilai pretes-postes sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuannyangg berbeda pada kelas eksperimen RME maupun kelas eksperimen kontekstual menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan koneksi dan pemahaman matematis siswaapada materii bilangan bulat. Pembelajaran kontekstual lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajarannRME, sedangkan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis pendekatannkontekstual tidak lebih baik daripada pendekatan RME.

Abstract

This study was designed to create different atmosphere on learning illustration drawing for primary school students. The method was through fairy tales before students begin to draw. This research used quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group. The sample was 5th grade primary school students in SDN Sukalilah, reflected the population of all 5th grade primary school students in Pamulihan subdistrict. Analyzed using significant poin at 0.05 or 5%, results showed that learning through fairy tales method contributed significantly to students result of animal and its nature illustration drawing, with determinant percent 45,02%. In addition, using Fairy Methode could increase the Learning Motivation of the students, yet, not significantly. There are positive relations between the Learning Drawing result by Learning Motivation of student for about 0,25%.

Abstract

The research aimed to improve teacher performance in the planning stage is also in the implementation stage, increasing student activity and student learning outcomes. This research is done by applying inquiry model of learning. This inquiry study can help solve the problems that occur in science learning, especially in the material properties of objects. The subject of this research is the fourth grade students of elementary school of Lembursitu. The method used in this research is classroom action research using observation guides, interview guides, field notes and tests as research instruments. This study lasted for three cycles because the new targets were achieved in the third cycle. The target is determined on the performance of teachers is 100%, while the activity and learning outcomes of students is 90%. Based on the results of research proved that learning science can create a conducive atmosphere because students are active in learning. Students are also able to find their own knowledge that makes learning more meaningful. In addition, teacher performance is also increasing with the application of inquiry learning.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan inkuiri terbimbing dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan pada proses pembelajaran dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan proses pembelajaran dan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan inkuiri terbimbing pada materi daur air. Inkuiri terbimbing memiliki lima tahapan pembelajaran. Keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang di tingkatkan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 5 indikator yaitu memberikan penjelasan sederhana, membangun keterampilan dasar, menyimpulkan, memberikan penjelasan lanjut, serta mengatur strategi dan taktik. Desain PTK dalam penelitian ini adalah desain yang dikembangkan oleh kemmis taggart yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Partisipan penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Cimalaka II.Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa mengalami peningkatan pada tiap siklusnya. Nilai rata-rata hasil tes siswa adalah 57,5 pada siklus I, 70,4 pada siklus II dan 80,4 pada siklus III. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembeljaran dengan inkuiri terbimbing meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study was conducted to improve the process and the results of student learning on the local environment map reading material. Alternative troubleshooting is selected by applying the talking stick method. Subjects in this study were students of SDN Sindang II which amounted to 19 people. This classroom action research is conducted in three cycles. Based on preliminary data obtained by the result of student learning complete 37%, after implemented cycle I achievement of student learning result rose to 47,36%, in cycle II percentage of achievement increased become 73,68% and at cycle III percentage of student who complete 89,47 %. The achievement of student activity in cycle I 63,15%, in cycle II percentage achievement 78,94% and in cycle III reach 89,47%. Student learning outcomes and activities have reached the target 85%. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the talking stick method can improve the learning outcomes of Social studies on the local environment map reading material.
