Abstract

Introduction Fatigue is the most common symptom experienced by older adults COVID-19 survivors after fever and shortness of breath where the incidence is 30% of all older adults COVID-19 survivors. Treatment of older adults COVID-19 survivors requires an intervention that is able to accelerate the recovery of older adults from fatigue. The purpose of the study was to look at the effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation nursing interventions on fatigue in older adults COVID-19 survivors. Methods. this study used a quasi-experimental research design with the type of pretest and posttest without a control group. By using a sample calculation of the population hypothesis test, the minimum sample size is 40 older adults. In this study, the sampling method used was multistage random sampling. The study was conducted in June-August 2022. Bivariate analysis using Paired T-Test. Results/findings The results of the study found that there was an effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Nursing Intervention on the fatigue level of the older adults COVID-19 survivors at Pekanbaru with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). This can be seen from the changes in the level of fatigue before and after the intervention. If the PMR therapy is associated with fatigue, that is, when doing this therapy, the production of endorphins, enkephalins, and serotonin releases the hormones, which will then lead to a feeling of calm and relaxation. In conclusion, this PMR Nursing Intervention can be used as an alternative form of nursing intervention to overcome fatigue problems in older adults and can be carried out by nurses in primary health care.

Abstract

Background: Patient safety research has primarily focused on hospitals, despite the fact that patient safety incidents in primary care are quite common. Patient safety incident in primary care caused by the implementation of patient safety culture has not been widely applied. Measuring patient safety culture can improve primary care patient safety and decrease patient safety incidents. Objective:  To identify patient safety culture dimensions with low scores that require improvement in primary care. Methods: Article searches were conducted through the PubMed and ScienceDirect databases using the keywords “patient safety” AND “safety culture” AND “primary care”. A total of 199 articles were found, and only 10 articles fit the inclusion criteria. Results:  The SAQ-AV, MOSPSC, and HSOPSC patient safety culture measurement instruments were used in 242 primary healthcare settings across eight countries. According to research, each primary care setting has aspects of patient safety culture that could be improved. The dimensions of working conditions, work pressure and pace, and non-punitive response to error were the most frequently observed. Conclusion: The dimensions of management perception, working conditions, job satisfaction, work pressure, and speed, leadership support, staff training, incident reporting frequency, staffing, non-blame response, and hands-off and transition have low scores and require improvement in measuring patient safety culture.

Abstract

Willingness To Pay (WTP) can be interpreted as how much people are willing to pay.  However, there are several problems, namely until now the Willingness To Pay (WTP) waste retribution has not been maximized and this can be seen in the achievement of   Regional Original  Income  (PAD) for waste retribution.  Thus, the problem raised in this study is that the willingness to pay of the community to pay waste fees in West  Aceh Regency is still low. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of Willingness to Pay (WTP) of waste retribution paid by households and the factors that affect the WTP of household waste in West  Aceh Regency.  This research is a type of quantitative research with a cross-sectional study approach. The samples in this study were 378 heads of families, namely  261 people in the  Johan Pahlawan sub-district and 117 people in the Meureubo sub-district. The sampling technique was carried out using  Krejcie and Morgan Table. Data was collected using a questionnaire, while the statistical test used was logistic regression using stata. The results showed that the Willingness to Pay (WTP) waste retribution paid by households in West  Aceh Regency was  Rp. 14,542 and the factors related to the  WTP of household waste in West   Aceh Regency partially  (partially) namely income  (p-value = 0.001) and public perception in waste management  (p-value  = 0.031) and the relationship between income and community perception in waste management simultaneously with  WTP for household waste retribution  (p-value below  0.05).

Abstract

Efforts to increase fruit and vegetable consumption in school-age children are carried out by providing training to parents and providing video tutorials on fruit and vegetable modification on social media (WA Group) through the intermediary of teachers. The low coverage of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Behavior (PHBS) on fruit and vegetable consumption indicators in Pelalawan Regency and the results of the initial survey which showed the low frequency of bringing fruit and vegetable supplies to school children were the reasons behind this research. This study aims to determine the effect of the amount of fruit and vegetable consumption in elementary school children in Pangkalan Kerinci. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design with pre test-post test non-equivalent control group design. The study was conducted in July – August 2022 with a sample of 100 students (50 in the treatment group and 50 in the control group). Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using the Wilcoxon test and 1 sample T-test. The results found the highest significant average of fruit and vegetable consumption after the intervention was 63.1 grams and 134.1 grams in the treatment group and 63.9 grams and 128.8 grams in the control group. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a difference between the frequency of consumption of fruits and vegetables before and after the intervention. Suggestions in this study is that it is recommended for schools to make an appeal letter related to the fruit and vegetable consumption program once a week and expected to the Health office for increasing teachers education related to fruit and vegetable consumption in primary school children.
