Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the factors that cause inundation/flooding in Cemarajaya Housing, evaluate existing drainage channels and plan drainage channels for unbuilt blocks and analyze the capacity of the drainage system using the EPA SWMM 5.1 program. Design/methodology/approach: Based on the simulation results using SWMM, the subcatchment response shows that an average of 22.11 mm per subcatchment is infiltrated and the rest becomes runoff of 310.23 mm. Findings: The abrasion disaster that hit the north coast of Karawang, especially the village of Cemarajaya, had occurred from around 1990 to 2016 and the most severe occurred in three hamlets, so residents affected by the abrasion had to be relocated to a place far from the shoreline. The Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas of Karawang Regency built a housing estate to relocate residents affected by the abrasion disaster. Research limitations/implications: In this housing, 299 units of infiltration wells were built because the calculated channel dimensions were not possible to build due to the limited land area of the road. Practical implications: The problem that occurs in the housing is that the area where the housing construction is located is in the yellow zone based on the Karawang City/Regency Sanitation Strategic (SSK) data in 2017, which is an area prone to inundation of 25% to 50%. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the performance of the road before and after the provision of motorcycle lanes. It also aims to determine the lane effect on vehicle speed and alternative solutions. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, MKJI 1997 and Vissim Software were used as the research methods. Findings: The results of the existing road performance showing that the vehicle speed, DS, and level of service were 38.66 km/h, 0.84, and D, respectively. This indicated that the provision of motorcycle lanes was effective in improving road performance, due to the level of service for the LV and HV lanes increasing from D to B, with a speed increasing from 36.99 km/h to 40.25 km/h. The results showed that the level of service for the motorcycle lane increased from D to C and the vehicle speed was 49.92 km/h. While the level of service for LV and HV lanes being consistent with B and the vehicle speed was 40,04 km/h. Research limitations/implications: The level of service for the motorcycle lanes decreased from D to F with the speed decreased from 46.13 km/h to 41.23 km/h, subsequently indicating that the alternative solution was to widen the motorcycle lane. Practical implications: Margonda Road is one of the congestion points in Depok City. Margonda Road connecting Depok and Jakarta. The composition of motorcycles on Margonda Road reach more than 80% of the traffic flow. This conditions has an impact on decrease the road performance. In this study, the provision of motorcycle lanes will be carried out using the Vissim Software simulation, where the application of lanes is considered to be the solution to this problem. Abstract

Purpose: Small And Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the development of economies despite a plethora of problems that stifle their growth. The study unpacked the application of the Technological, Organisational, Environmental (TOE) framework as a guide for the adoption of CRM strategies. Design/methodology/approach: A quantitative research method was used to evaluate these factors. The adoption of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is one of the solutions that can help SMEs to endure and overcome economic hardships. Findings: The benefits that can be derived from CRM are too compelling to pass up the opportunity and indeed, the future prosperity of SMEs may lie in CRM adoption. Research limitations/implications: Even though technological, environmental, organisational factors are paramount, education, stood out as the major driver of adoption. Practical implications: This study therefore concludes that the TOE framework needs to be extended by education and contextualised to the geo-political and social settings of the SMEs under investigation. Abstract

Purpose: The development of DKI Jakarta is causing prone to flood threats so that required proper water management systems to reduce puddles or floods that occurred in some areas. Current water managament system is the Polder of Pluit water mangament system, and Pasar Ikan Pump system. Jakarta will plan an integrated pump system to reduce the workload of the Pluit Polder Pump System and Pasar Ikan Pump when the system is down for maintenance, the pump will be planned to include (1) Karang Pump System, (2) Haila-Marina Pump System, and (3) Sunter-Sentiong Pump System. Design: This study was conducted through three stages, collecting data, data processing, and a review of the results of the analysis. Within hydrology analysis, calculations of rainfall distribution were conducted by Normal Distribution method, Log-Normal, Gumbel, and Log Pearson III and tested using the Smirnov Kolmogorov Method. The calculation of the discharge plan using HSS Nakayasu. Hydraulic analysis with 25 years reset period of discharge plan performed using HEC-RAS software. Study of the integration of the four pump system on the north shore as a basis for drafting an alternative effort to control the puddle and flood in areas of its services and also to evaluate the discharge pump needed to improve the optimization and the pattern of the pump on the north shore system. Findings: The scenario of the operation of the four integrated pump systems provide better results than standalone scenarios, especially for the Karang Pump, Karang Ikan Pump, and Sentiong Pump with water elevation reduction of -1.67 m,-0,29 m, and 0.66 m. In contrast to Pluit Pump and Hailai-Marina Pump happen an increase in water elevation of 0.29 m and m 0.38. Worst impacts on system integration in the event of the failure of operation Pump Pluit, Hailai-Marina, and Sentiong were simultaneously or 2 pumps of the pump 3 failed to operate, so the necessary floodgates on every connecting channel between the systems. The presence of pump system Hailai-Marina and Sentiong was becoming very important, if the system pump is dead then impacted the increase of volume of the Pluit Pump of 215,0%, and 183.1% of the Pasar Ikan Pump which means Pluit Pump and Pasar Ikan Pump will work two times more weight of standalone scenarios, while the Coral Pumps operate normally without an increase in the volume of the pump i.e. 98.7%.
