Abstract

Abstract Since Covid-19 was declared a global pandemic, many changes have occurred in people's social life. The need to maintain physical distance has made an impact in various fields, one of which is that there is a recession in various countries, and Indonesia gives a signal that it will experience this, indicated by the country's gross income of -5.32%. In dealing with this, the government has imposed a "new normal", namely the return of community activities by implementing health protocols. Rumah Baca Komunitas (RBK), as a literacy community in Yogyakarta, its members need counseling on health protocols that are implemented during the new normal and business strategies during the occurrence of social restrictions. The results of the evaluation show that the participants feel the impact of social restrictions from an economic perspective. According to the participants, the material presented was useful for the participants to be disciplined in implementing health protocols and always have income despite limited access.

Abstract

Abstract Ambeu Preanger Pangalengan is a community of Arabica Java Preanger coffee connoiseurs and producers, located in Pangalengan. Along with the demand for the proliferation of producers and specialty coffee shops in Pangalengan, Ambeu Preanger assists several Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) related to the coffee industry in Pangalengan, namely Kawitan Coffee, Nagoya Coffee, Koffie Nyalse, Pangalengan Coffee House, Oeching Salapan, Ghoz Coffee, Sucker Soul, Coffee 4 Wheels, and Himmah Coffee. Then, from the survey process and data search in the field, we obtained information that not all SMEs in the coffee industry in Pangalengan have an ideal visual identity. In fact, they need a graphic visual identity as a representative of the image that will later be displayed on a website that is proclaimed as a digital storefront for these SMEs. Therefore, Telkom University team decided to design a graphic standard manual, which can help community to strive for a visual identity that is representative of their business, and is still in line with the brand image of Ambeu Preanger Pangalengan itself. Seiring dengan tuntutan menjamurnya produsen serta kedai kopi specialty di Pangalengan, Ambeu Preanger mendampingi beberapa UMKM yang terkait dengan industri kopi di Pangalengan, yaitu Kawitan Coffee, Nagoya Coffee, Koffie Nyalse, Rumah Kopi Pangalengan, Oeching Salapan, Ghoz Coffee, Sucker Soul, Coffee 4 Wheels, dan Himmah Coffee. Lalu, dari proses survey dan pencarian data di lapangan, kami memperoleh informasi bahwa belum semua UMKM industri kopi yang ada di Pangalengan memiliki identitas visual yang ideal. Padahal, identitas visual grafis diperlukan oleh mereka sebagai perwakilan citra yang kelak ditampilkan di sebuah website yang dicanangkan sebagai etalase digital dari para UMKM ini. Oleh karena itu, tim Pengabdian Masyarakat Telkom University memutuskan untuk merancang panduan standar manual grafis, yang dapat membantu para mitra untuk mengupayakan hadirnya visual yang representatif sesuai dengan identitas bisnis yang mereka usung, serta masih sejalan dengan citra dari Ambeu Preanger Pangalengan itu sendiri. Abstract

Coffee plant (Coffea arabica) is a superior plant to be developed in the Arfak mountain region due to suitable agro-climatic conditions. The way to develop it can be done in various ways, one of which is to develop it independently using seeds from farmers' gardens. This goal can be achieved if the local farming community is able to prepare seeds that have high growth potential and are healthy, free from pests and diseases, especially diseases that are transmitted through the soil (seed born pathogens). The method used includes first, mentoring and discussion at the Kwau Village Hall which includes lectures and discussions about generative nurseries and the use of Trichoderma spp to treat soil borne diseases. The second method is a demonstration of how to plant cocoa seedlings in the farmer's garden accompanied by the application of Trichoderma spp. Both methods were successfully implemented and the community showed high enthusiasm as seen from the questions asked. In this mentoring activity, 60 coffee seedlings were distributed to be developed by coffee farmers.

Abstract

The need for clean water in Indonesia is still not distributed evenly. Clean water is not distributed evenly due to obstacles and problems. Based on observations in Kampung Pinang Village, Kampar Regency, there is already a clean water reservoir, but in the reservoir there is no clean water distribution system available to homes to meet community needs. To analyze the problems and efforts to complete this research, the researcher uses a literature study that is used to obtain clarity of concepts in research, namely by obtaining books, journals, and previous research, which contains the basics of theory and calculation formulas, and obtains data that support in completing this research, namely secondary data in the form of population data, village maps and other data obtained directly from parties related to this research. The planning of a clean water system network using EPANET 2.0 software in hamlet 1, Kampung Pianang village, Kampar Regency is carried out using the gravity method and using a pump where the water source comes from an existing reservoir. The projected population of Kampung Pinang until 2030 is 1385 people, so by analyzing water needs, it is found that the need for clean water in 2030 is 1.742 l/second. From the simulation results of the EPANET 2.0 software using the gravity method on the clean water network in the village of Kampung Pinang, the highest pressure value is 11.97 m at junction J4 and the lowest pressure is 3.80 m at junction J20. Meanwhile, all pressure values using a pump have met the requirements. The highest velocity (velocity) is 0.14 m/s on pipe P1 and pipe P2 and the lowest speed is 0.01 m/s on pipe P12. The highest energy loss (headloss) is 0.39 m/km in the P1 and P2 pipes and the lowest energy loss is 0.01 m/km in the P12 pipes.

Abstract

Semarang City is one of the provincial capitals which is very complete in terms of social, educational, economic, and other facilities. For this reason, many migrants live and settle temporarily in boarding houses. Bulustalan Village is a village located in the center of Semarang city and there are many office locations and higher education facilities around the area. For this reason, many employees and students are looking for a boarding house around the Bulustalan Village. In addition, in the Bulustalan Village area, especially in RT. 09/RW. 04, many have boarding houses, there are about 10 families out of 50 families who have boarding houses. During a pandemic like this, the boarding house business is experiencing the impact of a decrease in boarding house rents because many students live back in their hometowns. The boarding house business is one of the businesses for investment in the property sector. If not executed will cause losses because the boarding house will be damaged. In this digital era, product marketing can be done using digital media, namely through websites and social media. What's more, during a pandemic like this, someone tends to look for a boarding house using digital media. For this reason, marketing of boarding houses through digital media is one way that must be done to find the right potential users. The digital media used is the website media https://bapakkost.com/ which is the result of research from the head of service and marketing can be done with business Instagram social media. Training on the use of digital media for marketing boarding houses has been carried out and attended by more than 15 residents in RT09, Bulustalan sub-district. The digital media used is the website https://bapakkost.com/ and has also been provided in the form of a guidebook. This marketing can be done by the owner and not the owner of the boarding house by utilizing internet technology. The results of the questionnaire that had been given to the training participants stated that more than 75% of the participants agreed that the Bapakkost website could help market the boarding house. In addition, more than 65% of participants would recommend the Bapakkost website as a digital boarding house marketing tool. Abstract

The learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic presents a new paradigm, namely learning which was originally teacher-centered, shifting towards a students-centered learning paradigm by utilizing network media. Thus, it is necessary to coordinate cooperatively between teachers and students to create attractive, innovative, creative, and meaningful learning. However, in reality there are still obstacles faced but Indonesian language teachers, such as the not yet optimal application of the approach in the learning process in accordance with the latest curriculum and the absence of practical guidelines in activiting students in learning Indonesian during the pandemic and post-pandemic. Therefore, Community Service (PkM) activites aim to change the mindset of the Indonesian language teacher audience from teacher-centered learning to student-centered learning by applying a process approach, as well as improving the quality of student learning from learning about language to learning to use language. The method used in PkM is through the stages of problem identification and field studies, making books, training for teachers, practical training in the application of the process approach, as well as monitoring and evaluating the implementation of activities. The results of PkM activities can be concluded that partners understand and implement in practical exercises. Comments are based on PkM activities, namely that participants are enthusiastic about the material presented and hope that the training will continue to be developed by adding discussion topics and practice exercises to Indonesian language subject matter in Junior High Schools.

Abstract

The problem to be raised in this research is the calculation of Eni Taylor's Cost of Production (HPP). Due to the development of the times, many people prefer to buy clothes in shops or rent from rental places, making it difficult for the tailor profession to survive at this time. Eni Taylor made collaborative efforts with boutiques and places for renting wedding uniforms, traditional clothes to maintain the business, but Eni Taylor had difficulty determining the HPP of each product. This research was conducted in Kramatinggil Village, Kab. Gresik with the observation method, namely observing the production activities carried out by Eni Taylor and the interview method by taking the required data such as HPP elements by asking questions related to this matter. The steps taken to solve this problem are to design a template to make a COGS report. It is hoped that this research will benefit Eni Taylor and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi tentang pentingnya menjaga Lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan masyarakat kepada warga SMA Negeri 5 Tapung, apalagi SMA Negeri 5 Tapung ini semenjak berdiri pada tahun 2016 belum pernah diadakan gerakan penghijauan dengan penanaman pohon pelindung, sehingga sekolah ini terasa sangat gersang sekali. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini disampaikan oleh tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Sekolah Pasca Sarjana Universitas Lancang Kuning, dan setelah dilakukan sosialisasi, maka di lanjutkan dengan Penanaman 250 Pohon pelindung yang terdiri dari (Pohon mahoni sebanyak 50 batang, pohon rambutan sebanyak 50 batang, pohon durian sebanyak 50 batang, pohon nangka sebanyak 50 batang, dan pohon Matoa sebanyak 50 batang), Manfaat yang akan dicapai dengan kegiatan ini adalah sebagai berikut, mengurangi polusi, mengurangi partikel debu, pendidikan lingkungan disekolah, sarana pembelajaran, lingkungan sekolah menjadi asri, sebagai penghasil oksigen, lingkungan sekolah menjadi lebih sejuk, menambah persedian air bagi komponen abiotic.

Abstract

The partners in this Community Service Program (PkM) are a group of freshwater fish cultivators in RW 04 Jatibening Baru Village, Bekasi City. Two main problems for partners are: 1. the high cost of fish feed so that business profits are not maximized and 2. business management that is not yet optimal. The purpose of this PkM activity is to apply appropriate technology for fish feed pellet machines as a result of faculty members’ research to benefit partners. The implementation method for this PkM is: The first stage is to collect data on the need for the number of fish feed pellets from partners, which then determines the type of pellet maker that is most suitable and then manufactures the pellet maker. The next stage is conducting training to partners in making fish feed pellets and business management with the canvas business model. By carrying out this service activity, it can be concluded that: 1. partners are able to reduce the cost of fish feed by 50%, 2. partners are able to make nutritional compositions for fish feed, and 3. partners understand the basics of the canvas business model in business management.

Abstract

In early 2020, the Greater Jakarta area experienced severe flooding in several areas, one of which was the North Tanjung Duren Village, Grogol Petamburan District, West Jakarta. Based on BMKG data in February 2020, the Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village area is a flood-prone area with a height of 10-30 cm and is also a densely populated settlement so that it is prone to short circuit hazards that can cause fires. One of the causes of flooding is water channels / culverts that do not flow smoothly. This activity proposes the creation of a water velocity detection device that functions as an early detection of flood disasters. The detection device is designed using a microcontroller and is connected to a sensor for detecting the speed of water flowing from the drain pipe in the culvert. Based on the results of the training provided, the community's improvement in early detection of flood disasters has increased as indicated by an increase in the post-test value of 52% compared to the pre-test value. This activity is very useful for flood-prone areas as an early detection approach.
