Abstract

This study aimed to ascertain the treatment variable's primary influence and interaction effect on learning achievement in the Fiqh course. This study used a quasi-experimental approach, namely the nonequivalent control group design. The participants of the study were divided into two classes, namely Class A and Class B. A random process is conducted in the selection of the study subject class. In contrast, allocating students within each class is considered a fixed entity (intact group) that cannot be altered. The gathered data underwent statistical inference processing utilizing the two-lane 2x2 variant analysis technique. The findings indicated significant variations in learning outcomes in Fiqh courses between two groups of students instructed using different advanced organizer strategies, namely mind maps and concept maps. Additionally, no significant disparity in student achievement in Fiqh courses was observed between students with field dependence and field independence cognitive styles. Furthermore, no interaction effect was found between the learning strategies of advanced organizer types (mind maps and concept maps) and field dependence and field independence cognitive styles on learning achievement in Fiqh courses. The descriptive statistics analysis indicates that implementing the mind map advance organizer strategy (mean 78.59) exhibits a higher level of effectiveness than the concept map advance organizer strategy (mean 67.61) in enhancing student academic performance. It can be inferred that the advanced organizer technique known as the mind map type is consistently more effective than the concept map type, irrespective of variations in cognitive styles. In essence, using mind maps as an advanced organizer by students renders the consideration of cognitive style unnecessary, as it does not exert a differential impact on enhancing academic performance.

Abstract

This paper explores the relationship between perpendicular management and completeness in memorizing the Qur'an, specifically how well perpendicular can motivate, move and evaluate the achievement of learning the Qur'an. With this management, many students remember one year, so studying is enjoyable. A qualitative study with case studies was conducted at PPTQ Al-Asy'ariyyah Wonosobo. Interviews were conducted with the tahfidz teacher and the khaflah khatmil Qur'an activity committee, to ensure the connection between perpendicular management in memorizing the Qur'an and the completeness of memorization. Data analysis techniques apply data collection, presentation, reduction and verification. This study shows that PPTQ Al-Asyariyyah emphasizes vertical management for santri so they quickly complete the memorization of the Qur'an. The steps of perpendicular management include consistency, persistence, focus, regularity, straightness, routine, and commitment. Santri who can apply these steps will complete their memorization more quickly, because perpendicular management has a reciprocal relationship with the completeness of memorizing the Qur'an. The implication of the research is to implement vertical management for tahfidz Qur'an institutions to achieve better results. Research contributes to the development of the tahfidz Qur'an program, particularly in Islamic boarding schools. This study develops its setting and orientation by linking perpendicular management to the completeness of memorizing the Qur'an. This shows the prominent role of vertical management because some instances show that intelligence only guarantees complete memorization of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research focuses on self-reconstruction in corruption prevention policies at State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN). The problem of this research is how self-reconstruction becomes a solution in corruption prevention policies to achieve justice and social welfare at PTKIN. This research proposes a self-reconstruction mechanism to prevent corruption and execute justice and social welfare at PTKIN. This research design uses a qualitative approach with case studies as the primary method. The research locations are UIN Sunan Kalijaga, UIN Syarifhidayatullah, and UIN North Sumatra Medan. The theory used in this research is the theory of self according to the Eastern/Islamic view and the theory of self according to the West, as well as the basic understanding of corruption. This study resulted in the formulation of a self-reconstruction mechanism at PTKIN in preventing corruption, namely the process of self-improvement to avoid the factors that cause corruption starting from good initial intentions, improving moral morals and then self-consistency in work. Self-reconstruction is one of the solutions to preventing corruption in PTKIN. The solution to avoid corrupt behaviour in PTKIN must involve all elements, rectors, deans, lecturers, or other components. This research provides concrete evidence about the effectiveness of the self-reconstruction mechanism in preventing corruption at PTKIN, this is a valuable finding and can be a significant contribution to the literature and practice of preventing corruption in the academic environment.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between perceived self-regulation life satisfaction and violence tendencies. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study consisted of 340 participants from the entire class population. Data was collected using a questionnaire book guided by a Likert scale of 1 to 5. Data analysis was carried out in several stages, namely self-regulation scale analysis, tendency scale analysis and life scale analysis. These findings indicate a positive correlation between perceived self-regulation and life satisfaction, as well as a negative relationship between perceived self-regulation and violent tendencies. The predictive role of perceived self-regulation on life satisfaction is apparent, although the relationship between violent tendencies and life satisfaction remains ambiguous. This research shows that perceived self-regulation plays an essential role in an individual's well-being and that good self-regulation has a lower likelihood of violence.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and test the independent variables of attitude, subjective norms and self-efficacy, which can influence people's motivation to send their children to excellent Islamic primary and secondary Schools with two moderating variables, Trust and Service involvement. The research design is quantitative survey research. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. The research respondents were a community in Klaten Regency who intended to send their children to a number of excellent Islamic primary and secondary Schools, with a total number of 110 respondents. The Structural Equation Model test is used in research to simultaneously test the relationship between variables. The results of the validity, reliability and goodness of model tests are declared fit and proven that there is a direct influence of attitude values, subjective norms and cell-efficacy on intentions. The moderating test of the trust and service-involvement variables can strengthen the emotional norm attitude and self-efficacy variables on parents' choices to send their children to excellent Islamic schools. In the future, excellent Islamic schools must maintain or further increase public trust in the quality of learning services. The increasing rate of excellent Islamic primary and secondary education services leads to increasing competitive excellence.

Abstract

As an organization that has been around for a long time, it cannot be denied that Al-Irsyad continues to experience changes in line with the social, economic and political dynamics that occur in Indonesia. The division peaked in 2007, then splitting the organization into the Al-Irsyad Association and Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah. This phenomenon is interesting, so the aim of this research is to look further at changes in the orientation of Al-Irsyad's Islamic education. This study uses qualitative ethnographic methods. Most of the data was obtained from observations and interviews in the field, which were then supported by secondary data from various sources. Data analysis using the Spradley model includes domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and model analysis. The results of the study show that the Al-Irsyad Association and Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah institutions in identifying themselves, each institution carries out different strategies as a manifestation of educational orientation based on the interpretation of Mabadi Al-Irsyad. Islamic educational institutions under the auspices of Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah gave rise to schools with a modern-exclusive style, and educational institutions under the aegis of the Al-Irsyad Association had a more puritanical-inclusive kind. The differences in values that are the guidelines or ideologies of each institution are formed over time and social, political, economic and cultural dynamics.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is a new curriculum in Indonesia that gives teachers the freedom to develop learning materials and methods that suit students' needs. This research aims to examine the influence of the Merdeka Curriculum on the quality of Islamic Education (PAI) learning. This research uses qualitative methods to understand how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum encourages PAI teacher creativity and innovation in three different State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) schools in the big cities of Medan, Padang and Bukittinggi. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and study of related documents. Merdeka Curriculum, data analysis was carried out using thematic, narrative and comparative analysis techniques. The research sample consisted of PAI teachers who had implemented the Merdeka Curriculum for more than one year and had sufficient teaching experience. The research results show that the Merdeka Curriculum has positive potential in improving the quality of PAI learning, including a more open and flexible learning approach, the relevance of learning to everyday life, as well as developing the character and ethics of students. However, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in PAI learning also faces several challenges, such as teacher competency and readiness, support from each government and schools in each region, as well as the availability of resources. Comprehensive support from various parties, including government, schools and teachers, is needed to overcome these challenges.
