Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Media Apron Stories to improve speaking skills of children. Study Design This is a Class Action Research (PTK) with three cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases, each of which includes action planning, action, observation and reflection. Methods of data collection in this study is a test and an interview. The instrument used was the assessment sheet. Test the validity of this research is done using expert opinion (professional judgment) in the field of early childhood education, especially with regard to children?s ability to speak with a grating instruments which have been created by experts (exspert judgment).The results of this study can be seen that the ability to speak has been improved with media Apron story. In the first cycle, the ability to speak all subjects began to grow by a percentage derived by all subjects by 25%. In the second cycle, the ability to speak increased the percentage of subjects I amounted to 70.83%, subject II amounted to 62.50%, and 62.50% of the subjects III. In the third cycle, the ability to speak increased from Cycle II with the percentage of subjects I amounted to 83.33%, subject II 75.00%, and 75.00% subjects III. Based on these percentages can be concluded that the Media Apron Stories Effective to improve speaking skills of children at play groups Aisyiyah Mungkid Melati Putih subdistrict of Magelang regency Academic Year 2015/2016.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Person Centered can improve interpersonal communication students in class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang City.The method used in this study is action research guidance and counseling using a cycle consisting of: (1) planning the action, (2) the implementing measures, (3) observation / observation and reflection, (4) evaluation. The data collection techniques used interviews and observations, to determine changes increase interpersonal communication skills in class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang.The results of this study showed the improvement students interpersonal communication skills after three cycles treatments. At the end of cycles, student interpersonal communication skills increase until 83%. It can be concluded that the Person Centered approach can be applied to improve communication skills Interpersonal class VIII SMP Negeri 13 G in Magelang City School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the difference between the model STAD and NHT towards learning outcomes math at 5th grade elementary school Kemirirejo 3 Magelang. The research design is a comparative study with the comparative group pretest-posttest design. This research compares two variables. Research subjects in grade 5 elementary school students Kemirirejo 3 amounted to 74 students. Data analysis is a t-Test. In addition to data obtained from the test, data are also obtained from the documentation. The result of SPSS 22 t = 2,202 and ttable = 1,666. Means Ha acceptable the average value posstest VA affter applying the learning model STAD better value posttest VB after applying the learning model NHT. The result showed that the model STAD more effectively to improve learning outcomes 5th grade math Kemirirejo 3 Magelang of the learning model NHT.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Batauga. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bahwa kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa di SMP N 1 Batauga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Batauga dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 166 orang yang tersebar dalam 8 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 116 orang, di ambil dengan berdasarkan table sampel yang disusun oleh Krejciedan Morgan. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini berupa angket kepercayaan diri dan dokumentasi (nilai ulangan matematika siswa semester genap). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kepercayaan diri terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa di SMP N 1 Batauga. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai t yang diperoleh sebesar 5,794, signifikan pada 0,000  0,05. Artinya bahwa  ditolak, atau  diterima. Kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa sebesar 22,7%, sementara sisanya sebesar 77,3% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bercerita pada anak kelas III SD dan juga untuk melakukan perbaikan pembelajaran dalam aspek berbicara kompetensi menceritakan pengalaman pribadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Tell Story With Sing And Motion. Hasil penelitian ini adalah : (1) Memperkenalkan metode Tell Story With Sing And Motion pada anak ; (2) Melatih anak untuk bersosialisasi dengan teman-temannya melalui kegiatan menceritakan pengalaman pribadi ; (3) Menumbuhkan keberanian dan percaya diri pada anak melalui kegiatan bercerita ; (4) Meningkatkan kreatifitas anak dalam menyampaikan pengalaman pribadi ; (5) Mengingatkan anak akan pentingnya belajar dari sebuah pengalaman (6) Faktor pendukung ; (7) Faktor penghambat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah metode Tell Story with Sing and Motion dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bercerita pada anak kelas III SD.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran inovatif dan kreatif merupakan sebuah keharusan dalam usaha menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif di kelas. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan uji coba terhadap suatu model pembelajaran. Penelitian quasi eksperimen dilaksanakan di kelas V SDN Kaumpandak 02 Kabupaten Bogor yang memiliki populasi 68 siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan di semester Genap Tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Instrumen pengumpulan data diambil menggunakan tes dan observasi. Berdasarkan uji analisis inferensial hasil penerapan nilai sig pemodelan matematika dan kelas control menggunakan pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan guru memiliki nilai sig 0,00<0,05, maka H0 ditolak. Jadi antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdapat pengaruh signifikansi pada hasil belajar matematika. Antara keduanya mempunyai tingkat perbedaan pada nilai mean difference yaitu pada kelas eksperimen 56,61 dan dan kelas kontrol 55,14. Dengan demikian penggunaan pemodelan matematika pada kelas eksperimen mempunyai pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of integration of environment-based education in science subjects to environmental awareness of students in Muhammadiyah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bandongan Magelang. This research uses pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all students of Muhammadiyah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bandongan Magelang with the number of 360 students. The samples were taken using simple random sampling technique, that is third and fifth grader students. Twenty students of Class IIIA and nineteen students of Class VB are taken as control group. Twenty students of Class IIIC and eighteen students of Class VA are taken as experimental group. Environmental awareness data was taken using a questionnaire. Hypothesis analysis in this study was conducted using non-parametric test, Mann-Whiteney by SPSS software. Based on the hypothesis test using Mann-Whiteney, it is known that the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) in grade III is 0.004 <0.05 while in grade V is 0.015 <0.05. Can be interpreted that there is a significant influence of integration of environment-based education through science subjects to environmental awareness of students in Muhammadiyah Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bandongan Magelang.

Abstract

The teachers are one of the determinants it is success or failure on teaching and learning process in school. One of problematics that faced by teacher is the teacher lacks confidence in their own ability to overcome the problems. Based on the phenomenon, it is interest to conduct research on teacher?s self efficacy in elementary school. The method in this research is qualitative, while the data obtained through observation, interview, and as supporter used self efficacy scale of teacher. Subject in this study research amounted to 40 elementary school teachers in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Based on the result of observation, interview and self efficacy scale analysis on teacher, it can be concluded that there are 32,5% of  teachers who have low self efficacy, 47,5% teachers who have moderate self efficacy, and 20% teachers who have high self efficacy. The result shows that there are teachers who still have low self efficacy, both at the time of teaching or in helping to solve students problems.

Abstract

Textbook as a material for the school subject within the levels of primary and secondary education. Textbook as a school?s teaching material has a vital role in forming students? character.  This is in line with the current situation, where teaching material is needed to be investigated in terms of content, especially the content of the nationalism values.  This study aims to explain the content of the nationalism character values within a Textbook on the school subject of Indonesian Language for the primary school level.  The method used in this study is literature review and content analysis.  Literature review is done to acquire the appropriate book through the detailed and accurate searching all of the textbook.  Meanwhile, the content analysis is performed through analyzing the content of nationalism character value in the textbook for the school subject of Indonesian Language, which covers the following: (1) religiosity; (2) honesty; (3) tolerance; (4) discipline; (5) hard-work; (6) creativity; (7) self-reliance; (8) democracy; (9) curiosity;  (10) national spirits; (11) nationalism; (12) respect toward achievement; (13) friendliness/communicative value; (14) peace-loving; (15) literacy ? love of reading; (16) caring for the environment; (17) social care; and (18) responsibility.  The result of the content analysis of the Indonesian Language for the textbook for the Primary School level shows that the content for the nationalism character values in the textbook has not been fully and proportionally covered.  Besides, the content is still dominated by the aspect of knowledge and has not emphasized on the comprehension, values internationalization, and its implementation.
