Abstract

Behavioral Counseling for students is currently being implemented as an alternative solution to the problem of difficulties in learning Arabic. Students learning difficulties are caused by high anxiety due to poor learning management. The process of overcoming Arabic learning difficulties through participatory Behavioral Counseling is described implicitly in this study. The goal of this study is to examine (1) the process of overcoming difficulties in learning Arabic using Behavioral Counseling, (2) the level of academic anxiety and learning attitudes of students before and after the implementation of Behavioral Counseling, and (3) whether Behavioral Counseling implementation can improve students' Arabic language skills. This study was designed employing a Mixed Method Research approach. The questionnaire respondents were 250 students from IAIN Metro and UIN RIL (Raden Intan Lampung) Indonesia. According to the questionnaire distribution results, 46 students of UIN RIL and 45 students of IAIN Metro Indonesia required counseling. Data were gathered through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The research findings are that behavioral counseling was given to two groups of students who had difficulty learning Arabic. The first step in providing Behavioral Counseling to both groups of students with learning disabilities was conducting an assessment. The primary objective of this assessment was to discover what behaviors respondents engaged in when learning Arabic. The observed behavior was a unique behavior related to the respondent's problems. The assessment results revealed some poor learning behaviors, such as being too lazy to study, lacking enthusiasm, and being confused, anxious, and depressed about learning tasks that were not understood. Thus, students needed to be more motivated to learn Arabic because they perceived it to be difficult. The second research finding shows that in both groups of respondents, the level of academic anxiety is in the low range. Following Behavioral Counseling, there was a significant change in learning attitudes and academic anxiety—respondents whose learning attitude was poor due to various factors improved after receiving Behavioral Counseling. Similarly, academic anxiety, which was initially high, decreased after behavioral counseling. The study's findings reveal that respondents' Arabic ability improves after receiving Behavioral Counseling. Respondents at UIN RIL have an average value of 64.57, while respondents at IAIN Metro have an average value of 62.71.

Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to define “al-rujoolah” (manhood) and its contexts in the primary Arabic literature that it Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Hadith. The project's goal is to comprehend the significance of this subject in the Prophet's statement and to contribute to the library of Arabic rhetorical and scientific work related to this Hadith, which includes a rhetorical lesson, stylistic analysis, and reveals the ornamental characteristics and stylistic features. The study used an analytical method based on analyzing, interpreting, and comparing how the Quran and prophets talked about this trait and its signs. Also, talk about the different stories in the Hadith to figure out what they mean. The word “al-rujoolah” in "seven people to whom Allah will give His shade on the day when there will be no shade but the shade of His throne (on the day of resurrection)."  provides the meaning of “perfection of personality and its idealism," which appears in particular situations. This study showed the were and what other qualities the Prophet wanted Muslims to have in their everyday lives. The rhetorical lesson gives a style analysis and shows how the Prophet's statement about the uses of this word shows off his style and rhetorical skills. "Al-Rujolah" means "perfection of personality and its idealism," which appears in particular situations.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation of muhadatsah in the Arabic learning process and its effect on students’ self-confidence in speaking Arabic at the Islamic junior high school al Manar Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The researchers applied mixed qualitative and quantitative approaches. They used observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaire to collect the data from 16 students. And then analyze them qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of muhadatsah in this school does not work effectively. The score of muhadatsah is good enough but does not relate to students’ self-confidence in speaking Arabic, which is at a low rate. The teacher carries out the learning evaluation process in written tests, so measuring students’ speaking ability is not appropriate. The teacher faced difficulties applying muhadatsah in the learning and teaching process. The diversity of students’ cognitive, the lack of supervision and language discipline from school, the lack of awareness of speaking Arabic among students, and online learning during the pandemic become challenges faced in applying muhadatsah as a method and additional course effectively. The researchers provide some recommendations to school administrators to resolve these academic problems by optimizing the implementation of muhadatsah, designing strict rules and interactive activities, and conducting the speaking test in the oral examination for an appropriate evaluation process.

Abstract

Writing is a necessary skill in the primary and university education stages. To master this skill, the teacher must search for strategies to help him improve the level of his students. Among these strategies is the entrance to improving writing, which are psychological and skillful processes the writer goes through before, during, and after writing. The researcher chose them to teach the essay to undergraduate students, which are five stages. The researcher added additional strategies for the first stage in the entrance to the processes related to what precedes the writing stage. Where he said psychological preparation so that the student is convinced of the importance of reading and its connection to writing, and training in reading and summarizing so that the student can retrieve his acquired language skills, then the theoretical introduction so that he gets to know the features of the article and its most prominent writers and models from it, and the researcher applied the rest of the strategies as it came to the previous students, and the results of that method were It is satisfactory, as the students' performance improved compared to the traditional methods that did not take into account the gradual acquisition of the  skill, and the accompanying psychological stages.

Abstract

The “verbal sentence” in linguistic structures and texts is characterized by possessing a set of constant and variable (changeable) phenomena. The present research aims to investigate all the phenomena that occur in the “verbal sentence” and classify them in terms of “constant” and “variable,” as there are numerous beliefs, differences, and confusion in this regard. The research problem addresses the constant and variable phenomena in forming “verbal sentences.” “Al-Isnad” (attribution) between the two parts of a “verbal sentence” emergence or deletion of any of the two parts of the sentence, rules of “verb” in the sentence regarding masculine or feminine. Dual or plural rules of “subject” with the “accusative object” in rank are the most significant. In dealing with these phenomena, the researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach based on describing the phenomenon, analyzing it, and drawing a conclusion. The researcher found constant phenomena when composing “verbal sentences,” and variable phenomena occur in the composition structure related to the producer or the recipient. The research recommends that the phenomenon of constant and variable should be applied to all linguistic forms, such as nominal sentences and transcribers. Linguistic methods like “nominal sentence” and its “nawasikh,” like an exclamation, praising or criticizing someone, and preference.

Abstract

Rhythm on both the external and internal levels is one of the most critical issues in Arabic poetic criticism. Analysis based on discovering rhythmic features is a crucial component in teaching poetic texts. The phenomenon of parallelism in all its forms has taken a prominent place in literary studies, owing to its impact on the internal rhythmic structure and its role in enriching the semantic structure of the Arabic poem. Against this backdrop, this study focuses on Bārūdī’s nationalistic poems to trace synthetic parallelism and the phenomena of Tarṣīʿ and Taqsīm, which have the feature of grammatical structure repetition, aiming to discover the rhythmic and semantic aspects. This study used the analytical method to trace Bārūdī's nationalistic poems in his Dīwān and the artistic approach to present and analyze the levels and patterns of previous literary devices recorded in his poems. The study found that synthetic parallelism is entirely and sometimes partially represented on two levels: vertical and horizontal, with the first being more common in Bārūdī’s poems. Similarly, the poet's desire to employ the most synthetic parallel between the two sequences emerged, while parallel morphological runs on most of their units. As for the significance produced by the similar structure, the importance of completion and contrast was employed in most parallelism models, and the significance of the affirmations represented in some of them. Likewise, the poet's artistic creativity was also evident in the composition of the phenomena of Tarṣīʿ and Taqsīm when their stops coincided with the (Tafʿīlah) measuring units' stops.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using the Mysūr website to improve students’ Arabic grammar skills. Previous studies have shown that students have poor grammar proficiency due to the lack of quality teaching materials and the neglect of modern technological elements in learning. Therefore, an interactive, efficient, and flexible website was developed based on multimedia technology and self-interactivity. Users can use the provided materials anytime, anywhere. Thirty-two students were selected through targeted sampling and pretesting, 10-week intervention, and post-intervention testing to assess the approach's effectiveness. The mean difference between the pretest and posttest measures the effectiveness of the developed website-based learning approach. The study results showed improved performance for each of the revealed grammatical elements. This indicates a significant relationship between the learning approaches and students’ grammatical proficiency. The study’s conclusions show that courses to learning supported by multimedia technology and meeting current needs are interactive, easily accessible, and help improve student achievement.
