Abstract

One of the goals of farmers as producers in their business is to obtain high yield. To achieve high production, producers face several constraints as a determining factor in making decisions because the high production must be balanced by providing comparable inputs and inputs in the form of capital. This capital  must be returned by marketing the output obtained. The production activities carried out will be better if   economically   can cover the costs sacrificed in the production process. This research was conducted in Jambi City. Long bean farming was in Bagan Pete Village, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City and was one of the centre for vegetable farming. Long bean plants began to produce yields after the plants were 45 days old. The average land area cultivated by the farmers was 168.29 m2. The average income was Rp.5.840.585/periode.  The average use of labor in the family with working time ranged   7-8 hours / day. The marketing margin was IDR 7,000/kg.

Abstract

The agricultural sector is one of the sectors that takes a role in international trade. Exports are one way to increase state revenues and in turn can stimulate an increase in Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Exports are the most important part that must be considered for the achievement of sustainable economic development. In this case the progress of the export of a country that has no constraints will benefit the country itself. One of Indonesia's mainstay export commodities is palm oil (CPO). India is the main destination country for Indonesian CPO exports. The consumption of vegetable oils in India has increased over the past two decades as populations grow, incomes increase, and restaurants have sprung up to cater to crowds who start eating out more often. The Indian state's vegetable oil imports have soared to 15 million tonnes from 4 million just two decades ago, but imports fell in 2019/20 and 2020/21 after pandemic-related lockdowns that swept the world. The study aims to describe Indonesia's palm oil exports to India and to determine the factors affecting Indonesia's palm oil exports to India. This research was conducted in the destination country of Indonesia's palm oil (CPO) export to India, with the data collection time from 1992 to 2020. The palm oil commodity in this study is based on the harmonized system (HS) 151190010 published by the United Nations Commission trade (UN Comtrade). The method used in this study is time series analysis using a gravity model approach. The results of the analysis using the gravity method show that GDP per capita in Indonesia is based on constant prices, GDP per capita in India is based on constant prices, Indian tariffs and economic distance have a significant effect on the value of Indonesia's CPO exports to India.

Abstract

Batanghari Regency is one of the regencies in Jambi Province that has a  potential for the development of lowland rice commodities. Rice farming in Batanghari Regency consists of organic and inorganic rice. Organic rice is a farming technique using fertilizer  (compost and organic fertilizers) that can be broken down by decomposer organisms. The continuous use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on agricultural land results in a decrease in the structure and composition of nutrients and soil fertility which indirectly affects the level of production. The decrease in the level of production will be followed by a decrease in the level of farmers' income which will have an impact on the decrease in farmers' income. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of using organic fertilizers on lowland rice plants on farmers' income in Batanghari Regency. The results showed that simultaneously the independent variables had a significant effect on the income of lowland rice farmers. Partially, rice production, fertilizer costs, pesticide costs and types of fertilizers had a significant effect on the income of lowland rice farmers, while the level of education did not significantly affect the income of lowland rice farmers in Batanghari Regency. The type of fertilizer had a significant effect on the income of lowland rice farmers, so that the income of rice farmers who use organic fertilizers was higher than the income of rice farmers who used inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the stages of implementing oil palm rejuvenation by plasma farmers and analyze the economic impact on plasma farmers during the replanting period in Bukit Jaya Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. As for this study, data analysis using the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test data, according to Sugiyono (2017), this technique is a refinement of the sign test, if in the sign test the magnitude of the difference in the number values between positive and negative is not taken into account, whereas in the Wilcoxon test this counts. As in the sign test, this technique is used to test the comparative hypotension significance of two correlated samples when the data are ordinal. The results showed that the Wilcoxon signed ranks test obtained an asymp.sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 is less than 0.05, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an average difference between pest-test and post-test income. So that it can be said that there was a decrease in the income of plasma farmers in Bukit Jaya Village, Sungai LiLin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency before and during the rejuvenation period
