Abstract

Language learning in elementary school is the foundation for improving students' literacy skills, which include writing, reading, and arithmetic. Language not only helps people communicate, but also helps them think, interact with others, and learn. Language learning must be properly designed, organized, and tailored to the characteristics of students because they are undergoing significant cognitive and linguistic growth during the elementary school stage of development. This study describes language development theory and its implementation in literacy learning in lower elementary school grades using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were analyzed by conducting research and describing the phases of children's language skill development. According to the results of the study, children language development progresses gradually and in line with their communication experiences. Reading skills improve from reading pictures to reading fluently, writing skills improve from free scribbling to copying meaningful writing, and numeracy skills improve from knowing concrete concepts to using number symbols. Therefore, literacy learning is very important for improving early literacy and has a major impact on future learning success. It is hoped that the results of this study will help educators create learning that is more communicative, contextual, and appropriate for the stages of language development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the validity and practicality of a digital learning media based on educational animated videos for Grade III elementary school IPAS lessons on the topic “The City/Regency Where I Live.” The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The media was developed using the InShot application and produced a video consisting of an introduction, material presentation, interactive quizzes, and a closing section. Validation results indicated a very valid category, with scores of 4.6 from the material expert, 4.7 from the design expert, and 4.7 from the language expert. Practicality assessments by teachers (4.7), small-group trials (4.5), and large-group trials (4.7) showed that the media was highly practical. Thus, the developed animated video-based digital learning media is considered feasible and practical for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research and development aims to (1) develop learning media in the form of digital comics assisted by the Pixton application on local wisdom material for fifth-grade elementary school students, (2) determine the validity level of the developed digital comic media, and (3) determine its practicality when implemented in learning. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 3/IV Kota Jambi with fifth-grade students as trial subjects and involved material experts, media experts, and language experts as validators. Data were collected through validation sheets and response questionnaires from teachers and students, then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the material expert validation obtained an average score of 4.80, categorized as very valid; media expert validation obtained an average score of 4.72, categorized as very valid; and language expert validation obtained an average score of 4.80, categorized as very valid. Teacher response questionnaires yielded an average score of 4.73, while student responses resulted in average scores of 4.85 in the small-group trial and 4.87 in the large-group trial, both categorized as very practical. It can be concluded that the digital comic learning media assisted by Pixton is highly valid and practical to be used as a learning medium for local wisdom material in fifth-grade elementary school.

Abstract

Konflik di sekolah merupakan fenomena alamiah yang muncul dari interaksi manusia yang memiliki perspektif, kepentingan, dan karakter berbeda. Dalam perspektif filsafat pendidikan, konflik bukan sekadar persoalan teknis, tetapi ekspresi dari dinamika relasional dan proses memaknai pengalaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan reflektif kepala sekolah dalam pengambilan keputusan pada konflik antarpegawai di SMKN 14 Samarinda melalui pendekatan filosofis dan temuan empiris. Pendekatan filsafat pendidikan Dewey mengenai refleksi serta filsafat dialogis Buber digunakan untuk membaca praktik kepemimpinan dalam konteks nyata. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui studi literatur dan studi kasus berdasarkan wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, dua guru, dan satu tenaga kependidikan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa konflik yang terjadi bersifat ringan dan terutama berkaitan dengan pembagian tugas dan miskomunikasi. Kepala sekolah menyelesaikan konflik melalui klarifikasi faktual, dialog mediatif, coaching personal, dan penyusunan komitmen bersama. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa praktik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah sejalan dengan prinsip refleksi filosofis, dialog humanistik, dan pengambilan keputusan berbasis nilai. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan komunikatif efektif menciptakan harmoni kerja di sekolah kejuruan. Abstract

This study explores the implementation of congregational Dhuha prayer at SDIT Salsabila Al Muthi’in Banguntapan and its impact on students’ spirituality and discipline. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through observations, interviews, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and students. The findings indicate that the institutionalization of Dhuha prayer effectively strengthens students’ spiritual consciousness, sincerity, and emotional tranquility while fostering time discipline, responsibility, and adherence to school regulations. The integration of worship routines into the school culture demonstrates a holistic character-building process rooted in Islamic values. These results align with recent studies emphasizing religious habituation as a pivotal framework for cultivating moral behavior and emotional resilience in students. The research contributes to expanding the theoretical understanding of religious habituation in Islamic education and offers a practical model for other Islamic schools seeking to strengthen character formation through daily religious practices.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of a STEAM-based deep learning curriculum at TK Kanigaran Probolinggo based on the reflective experience of PIAUD students participating in the Field Teaching Practice (PPL) at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute.Deep learning is an approach that emphasizes children's active engagement in exploration, investigation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The STEAM approach serves as an integrative framework connecting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, thereby allowing for comprehensive and meaningful learning.This study uses a literature review and reflective analysis approach without direct field data, utilizing theories, PAUD (Early Childhood Education) learning guidelines, and the general PPL experiences of students as the basis for analysis. The results of the study indicate that the integration of deep learning and STEAM has significant potential to enhance children's creativity, curiosity, critical thinking skills, and engagement. However, its implementation faces challenges, including limited teacher competency, inadequate facilities and infrastructure, activity planning issues, and time management difficulties.The role of PPL students is crucial as collaborative partners who bring new perspectives and can strengthen the application of innovative learning in PAUD institutions. This research suggests the need for improving teacher competency, developing project-based activities, providing an environment that supports exploration, and optimizing collaboration between teachers and PPL students.

Abstract

Indonesian batik has been recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage since 2009. Kudus batik is one of the local cultural heritages rich in meaning. The meaning contained in batik motifs can function as a learning medium and educational tool for the wider community. The Bulusan Legend motif contains cultural, philosophical, and character-education values that reflect the folklore of Hadipolo village, Kudus Regency. This study aims to analyze the visualization of the motif, philosophical meaning, and character values ​​contained in the Bulusan Legend batik. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative method. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study are as follows: first, in terms of visualization, the Bulusan Legend batik features many elements arranged according to folklore. The main elements displayed are those of trees, turtles, and human figures, along with supporting elements such as rocks, clouds, rivers, and grass. Second, the philosophy of the Bulusan Legend motif represents local wisdom values ​​such as obedience, humility, and respect. Third, the Bulusan Legend batik motif can also be used as a means of character education, instilling positive values in the younger generation within the context of education and cultural preservation. The character traits include religious values, cooperation, responsibility, and social awareness. The research suggests developing batik-based educational programs in schools

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Polygon Geometry Puzzle learning media to help fourth-grade elementary school students describe, analyze, and arrange various polygonal shapes. The background of this study stems from students' difficulties in understanding the characteristics and shapes of flat shapes due to learning that is still centered on books and the limited availability of interesting concrete media. The puzzle media was developed using strong acrylic material and equipped with quartet cards containing pictures of shapes and their characteristics, equipped with QR Codes and Wordwall quizzes so as to increase student learning interest. This study uses the ADDIE model method which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The development process involved validation from material experts, media experts, as well as teacher and student responses and tests. The validation results showed that this media met the feasibility of content, presentation, appearance, and ease of use. The practicality test showed that teachers and students gave very good responses because the media was easy to understand, interesting, and helped clarify the concept of polygonal shapes. The results of the study showed that the Geometry Puzzle media was able to improve students' understanding of the shapes and properties of polygons through interactive, concrete, and fun learning activities. This media was considered feasible and practical to be used as a mathematics learning aid, especially geometry material in elementary schools. Thus, this puzzle can be an alternative innovative learning media to support the achievement of student competencies.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The contemporary decline in learning motivation demands a pedagogical approach that is more humanistic and spiritually grounded. In Islamic education, teachers function not only as transmitters of knowledge but also as motivators who foster students’ intellectual, moral, and spiritual growth. This study analyzes the teacher’s role as a motivator in Qur’anic education based on Al-Baghawi’s Ma‘ālim at-Tanzīl. Using qualitative library research and a thematic tafsir approach, the study examines Qur’anic verses related to motivation, wisdom, exemplary behavior, and character formation. The findings show that Qur’anic motivation in Al-Baghawi’s view is rooted in four core values: rahmah (compassion), hikmah (wisdom), ṣabr (patience), and uswah (exemplary conduct). Compassion builds emotional connection between teachers and students; wisdom guides the contextual selection of teaching methods; patience emphasizes continuous guidance; while exemplary conduct strengthens the internalization of moral values. These principles are highly compatible with modern motivational theories and offer a holistic pedagogical framework suitable for 21st-century education, including digital learning environments. The study concludes that Qur’anic education provides an integrated model that harmonizes academic achievement with character development.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Rumah Belajar ee-learning platform in the learning process and to examine its impact on increasing student learning interest at SD Xaverius A-1 Ambon. The research is based on the challenge of adopting digital education technology in the Merdeka Curriculum era and the lack of utilization of interactive media affecting low learning interest. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The findings indicate that teachers have a good understanding and integrate Rumah Belajar variably ranging from the Source Learning feature for discussions (lower grades) to Virtual Laboratory and Question Bank for independent learning (higher grades). Significantly, the platform successfully increased student learning interest, demonstrated by increased enthusiasm, intrinsic motivation, active participation in discussions, and self-confidence. This improvement aligns with cognitivism and motivation theories (SDT and ARCS). However, implementation faces obstacles such as limited student personal devices, uneven internet quality, and minimal content contextual to the local Maluku culture. It is concluded that Rumah Belajar is an effective medium for learning transformation in primary schools but requires infrastructure reinforcement and local content adjustment. Keywords: ee-learning, Learning Interest, Primary School, Rumah Belajar ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi platform e-learning Rumah Belajar dalam proses pembelajaran serta menguji dampaknya terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa di SD Xaverius A-1 Ambon. Penelitian ini didasari oleh tantangan adaptasi teknologi pendidikan digital di era Kurikulum Merdeka dan kurangnya pemanfaatan media interaktif yang memengaruhi rendahnya minat belajar. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan siswa, serta studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki pemahaman yang baik dan mengintegrasikan Rumah Belajar secara bervariasi mulai dari fitur Sumber Belajar untuk diskusi (kelas rendah) hingga Laboratorium Maya dan Bank Soal untuk kemandirian belajar (kelas tinggi). Secara signifikan, penggunaan platform ini berhasil meningkatkan minat belajar siswa yang ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan semangat, motivasi intrinsik, keaktifan berdiskusi, dan rasa percaya diri. Peningkatan minat ini sejalan dengan teori kognitivisme dan motivasi belajar (SDT dan ARCS). Meskipun demikian, implementasi menghadapi hambatan berupa keterbatasan perangkat pribadi siswa, kualitas jaringan internet yang belum merata, dan minimnya konten yang kontekstual dengan budaya lokal Maluku. Disimpulkan bahwa Rumah Belajar adalah media yang efektif untuk transformasi pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, namun memerlukan penguatan infrastruktur dan penyesuaian konten lokal Kata Kunci: ee-Learning, Minat Belajar, Rumah Belajar, Sekolah Dasar
