Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts of Civic Education (PKn) teachers in building disciplinary character and Pancasila values among students of Class VIII C at SMP Negeri 1 Tellu Siattinge, Bone Regency. This research employed a qualitative research method. The data analyzed were obtained from interviews with the Civic Education teacher and students of Class VIII C at SMP Negeri 1 Tellu Siattinge. The data collection methods used in this study included observation, interviews, and document analysis, in which the researcher directly observed the actual conditions in the field. The results of the study indicate that the efforts of Civic Education teachers include providing role modeling, implementing classroom rules, giving positive reinforcement, applying educational sanctions, and integrating disciplinary values into teaching materials. Civic Education teachers play an active role in shaping students’ disciplinary attitudes through the learning process and habituation in daily school life.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the increasing spread of false information among students, which has become a serious concern, particularly due to low digital literacy skills and students’ limited awareness in verifying the accuracy of received information. Civic Education (PKn) teachers have the responsibility not only to teach citizenship knowledge but also to shape students’ character so they can think critically, act wisely, and behave responsibly in responding to digital information flows. This research employed a qualitative approach using a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews with PKn teachers and the Student Council President (OSIS Chairperson) as student representatives, and documentation. The findings indicate that PKn teachers play a strategic role as educators, mentors, and facilitators in developing students’ awareness of the dangers of hoax news. The results show that the role of PKn teachers is highly important in preventing the spread of hoax information within the school environment. Support from all parties, including schools and parents, is necessary so that efforts to improve digital literacy can be implemented more optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the gap in the availability of learning media specifically designed to support the discovery stage in environmental pollution, despite the increasing integration of technology in education. This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Discovery Learning-based Smart Learning multimedia to improve seventh-grade students' conceptual understanding of environmental pollution. The method used was Research and Development with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The research subjects included content experts, media experts, instructional design experts, science teachers, and seventh-grade students to test the product's feasibility. The results showed that the instrument's interactivity met academic and technical feasibility criteria. The design evaluation showed a "High" category for various indicators, such as readability, color compatibility, and navigation button recognition, which achieved the highest score. Comprehensively, the developed multimedia was declared highly suitable for use as a medium for reinforcing concepts in the learning process at school.

Abstract

Underage marriage remains a complex social issue in Palakka District, Bone Regency, influenced by economic factors, cultural traditions, low levels of education, and limited public understanding of the negative impacts of early marriage. This study aims to describe and analyze the role of the Office of Religious Affairs (Kantor Urusan Agama/KUA) of Palakka District in addressing underage marriage practices. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the KUA plays a strategic role in preventing early marriage through three main functions: educational, preventive, and coordinative. The educational function is implemented through community socialization regarding the legal minimum age of marriage in accordance with Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning amendments to Law Number 1 of 1974 on Marriage, while the preventive function is carried out by rejecting marriage registration applications that do not meet legal age requirements. The coordinative function is realized through collaboration with schools, community leaders, and related institutions to reduce the incidence of early marriage. However, the implementation of these roles still faces challenges, including strong local cultural influences, limited resources, and weak social supervision within the community. Therefore, the success of underage marriage prevention requires cross-sector collaboration and continuous improvement of public awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kreativitas berpikir siswa dalam pembelajaran Informatika akibat dominannya metode pembelajaran konvensional dan minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif. Siswa cenderung hanya mencatat materi dan kurang aktif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media audiovisual terhadap kreativitas berpikir siswa pada materi Sistem Komputer kelas VII SMPN 1 X Koto Diatas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 41 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media audiovisual dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media PowerPoint. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket kreativitas berpikir yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji prasyarat analisis untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil kedua kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor kreativitas berpikir lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 145,95 dengan skor tertinggi 181 dan skor terendah 106, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh rata-rata 138,14 dengan skor tertinggi 160 dan skor terendah 98. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media audiovisual berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan kreativitas berpikir siswa pada pembelajaran Informatika. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah media audiovisual dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif, interaktif, dan inovatif untuk meningkatkan partisipasi, pemahaman, dan kualitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations of researchers in the field which show that children's literacy skills still have problems, including some children who have difficulty in distinguishing several letters such as b and d. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of interactive digital games qreatif.id on the literacy skills of children aged 5- 6 years at Mutiara Kindergarten, the capital of Jambi. This study uses an experimental method that uses a Pre-Experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample in this study was 11 children in group B2. The sample data collection technique used simple random sampling. In this study, an observation sheet was used as a research instrument that had been validated. The analysis technique used in this study was using a normality test, a homogeneity test and a hypothesis test using a paired sample test. The results of data analysis using a paired sample t-test hypothesis test obtained a calculated t value > t table, 28.572 > 2.228, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the use of the interactive digital game qreatif.id on the literacy skills of children aged 5-6 years at Mutiara Kindergarten, Jambi Capital City, in the pre-test and post-test data.

Abstract

Mastery of scientific literacy from elementary school is crucial for students to respond to the complexities of life in the global era. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of a PjBL model integrated with interactive media as a strategic solution to improve science competency at the elementary school level. This study was designed using a Research and Development (R&D) framework that refers to the systematic procedures of the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A total of 60 fifth-grade students from three public elementary schools in Serang City were selected as research participants through sampling. Data collection was carried out using expert validation instruments, student perception questionnaires, and scientific literacy test instruments developed based on the PISA 2022 framework. Quantitative analysis was applied using a paired-sample t-test and the calculation of the normalized N-Gain index. The feasibility assessment by expert validators resulted in an average percentage of 87.4% for the content aspect and 89.1% for the media aspect, both of which are classified as highly valid. Empirically, the model implementation showed a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) with an N-Gain of 0.68, categorized as a moderate improvement. These results confirm that the synergy between the PjBL approach and interactive media effectively builds an inquiry-based learning ecosystem, which also accelerates scientific thinking skills, real-world problem solving, and active student participation in the science learning process.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is still a problem that is often found in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah environment, especially in the form of verbal bullying such as teasing, giving nicknames, and calling parents names, as well as nonverbal bullying such as disturbing friends during learning. This condition shows the importance of preventive efforts through learning oriented towards character building. This study aims to describe the application of reinforcement learning in Aqidah Akhlak learning and analyze its implications in preventing student bullying behavior at MI NU Darul Huda. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research subjects include Aqidah Akhlak teachers, madrasah principals, homeroom teachers, and fifth grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results of the study indicate that the application of reinforcement learning is carried out in an integrated manner in Aqidah Akhlak learning, especially on the material of patience, discipline, independence, and repentance, through the provision of positive reinforcement in the form of praise, appreciation, and awards, as well as negative reinforcement in the form of reprimands, advice, and coaching. The implications of this implementation are evident in a decrease in verbal and nonverbal bullying behavior, an increase in mutual respect, a growing awareness of apologizing, and the development of discipline and good manners among students. Thus, reinforcement learning in Aqidah Akhlak learning is effective as a preventive strategy in preventing bullying behavior and developing students' akhlakul karimah character in madrasah ibtidaiyah

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of learning boredom and low student participation in the learning process at elementary schools, particularly at SDN 02 Tarogong. This condition has an impact on decreasing learning motivation, lack of concentration, and low student involvement in classroom learning activities. Learning practices that are still conventional and monotonous become one of the main factors causing students to easily lose focus and interest during the learning process in the classroom. In addition, less varied teaching methods make the classroom atmosphere less engaging for students. Therefore, learning innovation is needed to create a more enjoyable and interactive learning environment and to optimally increase student activeness in every learning activity carried out by the teacher in the classroom. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ice breaking innovation in student management and to examine its impact on students’ motivation and participation in learning. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consist of teachers and students at SDN 02 Tarogong. Data analysis is conducted inductively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and its validity is tested using source and method triangulation techniques in this qualitative research. The results show that the structured and well-planned implementation of ice breaking can reduce student boredom, increase learning motivation, and encourage active participation in the classroom significantly. Activities such as group games, simple physical activities, and puzzles are proven effective in creating a more interactive and enjoyable classroom atmosphere, as well as supporting an optimal, effective, and sustainable learning process for students comprehensively and consistently.

Abstract

This study is an analysis of students' reading abilities conducted on second-grade students of SDS Kartika Siliwangi. The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the reading abilities of second-grade students of elementary school, factors that inhibit students' reading abilities, and efforts to overcome the reading difficulties of second-grade students of SDS Kartika Siliwangi. The method used in this study is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the reading abilities of second-grade students of SDS Kartika Siliwangi, appear to be still low. Where students have not been able to identify double consonants, are still lacking in distinguishing letters that look the same, the ability to pronounce letter combinations in words is still low, still make mistakes in reading words. Factors that influence reading abilities, namely internal and external factors of students, the suggested solution to overcome low student reading abilities is to provide additional reading study hours, provide good library facilities.
