Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education (Pendidikan Pancasila), specifically on the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika element, through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in Grade V at SD 29 Ganting. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The researcher acted as the teacher, while the classroom teacher served as the observer. Data were collected through observation sheets, documentation, and learning achievement tests. The results showed an improvement in both learning process and learning outcomes. In Cycle I, student learning outcomes were still relatively low, with limited active participation during learning activities. After improvements were made in Cycle II, there was a significant increase in student engagement and achievement. The average score and the percentage of mastery learning improved, indicating that the PBL model effectively enhanced students’ understanding of diversity, tolerance, and unity values in the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika element. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model can improve students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore high school students’ perceptions of the use of Dola AI as a tool to improve reading comprehension in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL).Reading comprehension is an important skill, yet it remains a challenge for many students, particularly due to their limited use of effective reading strategies such as skimming and scanning. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education offers new opportunities to support learning through adaptive and interactive technology. This study employed a qualitative descriptive design involving six high school students who had experience using Dola AI in their English language learning activities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis based on the Braun and Clarke framework. The results indicate that students generally view Dola AI as a useful and user-friendly tool for helping them understand English texts. Key features such as automatic summarization and contextual Question and answer help students identify main ideas and specific information more efficiently. In addition, the use of Dola AI can also reduce cognitive load and increase student engagement in reading activities. However, some students also expressed concerns regarding reliance on AI and the accuracy of the answers it generates. Overall, this study highlights both the potential and the limitations of using AI in reading instruction.

Abstract

This study examines violence in caregiving as a serious problem that negatively impacts child development. Violence against children includes physical, emotional, verbal, symbolic, and sexual acts that cause physical, psychological, or sexual harm. The study used a literature review method to identify the causes of violence in caregiving, such as economic stress, lack of parental education, a history of family violence, and mental health problems in parents. Using Bandura's social learning theory, the study sought to understand how violent behavior can be learned and imitated within the family environment, and how interventions can be designed to change these behavioral patterns. The findings indicate that violence in caregiving contributes to psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD in children. Effective prevention and intervention strategies include parent education, social support, mental health services, and public policies that support families. In addition, parent education and support programs, early intervention, and public awareness campaigns can help reduce the incidence of violence and improve child well-being. This study emphasizes the importance of a holistic and multisectoral approach to addressing violence in caregiving, with the goal of creating a safe and supportive environment for healthy and happy child development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the improvement of the quality of teacher and education personnel management in Early Childhood Education (ECE) through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The method used in this research is SLR, which includes planning, literature selection, data analysis, and synthesis of findings from various scientific articles published within the last five years. The data sources were obtained from relevant national and international journals focusing on ECE teacher management. The results of the study indicate that the quality of teacher and education personnel management in ECE still faces several challenges, particularly in teacher competence, human resource management effectiveness, training equity, and the utilization of learning technology. Insufficient teacher competence negatively affects the quality of learning provided to early childhood learners. In addition, unstructured management systems result in ineffective management of educational personnel. On the other hand, continuous professional development and the use of technology have been proven to improve teacher quality, although their implementation is still not evenly distributed. In conclusion, there is a need to strengthen an integrated management system and policy support to sustainably improve the quality of teachers and education personnel in ECE.

Abstract

This study explores Indonesian EFL students’ perceptions of using Gemini AI in developing their English speaking skills. The rapid growth of generative artificial intelligence has introduced innovative opportunities for language learning, particularly in speaking practice. Gemini AI offers interactive conversation, pronunciation modeling, instant feedback, and flexible self-directed learning experiences. This research employed a qualitative descriptive design involving semi-structured interviews with Indonesian university students who actively used Gemini AI for speaking practice. The findings indicate that students generally perceive Gemini AI positively due to its capacity to improve speaking fluency, pronunciation accuracy, vocabulary enrichment, and confidence. Participants reported that Gemini AI created a psychologically safe learning environment where they could practice without fear of social judgment. Additionally, the platform’s accessibility and flexibility encouraged autonomous learning. However, technical issues such as unstable internet connections and occasional unnatural conversational responses were identified as notable limitations. Overall, Gemini AI is perceived as an effective supplementary tool that supports both linguistic and psychological dimensions of English speaking development among Indonesian EFL learners.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the CIPRO Model in learning to write speech texts among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 28 Muaro Jambi. The research focused on understanding how the model supports students’ writing skills, critical thinking, and participation in the learning process. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a field study design to explore the learning process in its natural context. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving one Indonesian language teacher and six representative students selected purposively based on different academic ability levels. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing through triangulation and member checking techniques. The findings revealed that the implementation of the CIPRO Model encouraged students to participate more actively in learning activities, improved their ability to organize ideas systematically, and strengthened their argumentative writing skills. The stages of identifying problems, gathering information, formulating arguments, collaboration, and presenting results enabled students to develop more structured and persuasive speech texts. In addition, collaborative discussions and reflective learning activities increased students’ confidence and critical thinking abilities during the writing process. However, the study also identified several challenges, particularly limited instructional time and differences in students’ academic abilities during the implementation process. This study contributes to the development of process-based and participatory learning models in Indonesian language education, particularly in speech-text writing instruction at the junior high school level. The findings imply that the CIPRO Model can be used as an alternative instructional strategy to create more interactive, contextual, and student-centered learning environments. Future studies are recommended to examine the effectiveness of the model in broader educational contexts and through mixed-method approaches.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the role of a script writer in designing creative video interviews for the TSP Squad digital campaign using the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) approach. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through in-depth interviews. The results show that AIDA-based script structuring creates an effective communication flow, from introducing informants to delivering experiences and values. Storytelling that highlights personal growth, a supportive environment, and social connections enhances audience interest and emotional engagement. Thus, the AIDA approach is considered effective in supporting message delivery and digital campaign objectives.
