Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Social Commerce Features on Impulsive Buying with Hedonic Motivation as a moderating variable among students of the Economics Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, who use TikTok Shop. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 75 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that Social Commerce Features have a positive and significant effect on Impulsive Buying. Furthermore, Hedonic Motivation significantly moderates the relationship between Social Commerce Features and Impulsive Buying with a negative moderating effect, indicating that higher hedonic motivation weakens the influence of Social Commerce Features on impulsive buying behavior. The structural model demonstrates good explanatory and predictive capabilities, supported by an R² value of 0.737, Q² value of 0.669, and SRMR value of 0.072. Overall, the findings suggest that Social Commerce Features encourage impulsive buying, while Hedonic Motivation alters consumers' responses to social commerce stimuli on TikTok Shop.

Abstract

Nickel mining plays an important role in supporting national economic growth; however, mining activities have the potential to generate environmental impacts, particularly water pollution caused by surface runoff, sedimentation, erosion, fuel spills, and operational waste. This study aims to analyze the implementation of environmental risk management to reduce water pollution potential in nickel mining activities at PT Hengjaya Mineralindo. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) method integrated with ISO 31000:2018 and the Hierarchy of Control. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, document reviews, and risk assessments of the company's primary activities, including mining, hauling, and ore sales. The study area covers approximately 5,400 hectares of Mining Business Permit (IUP) area, supported by 375 dump trucks, 185 excavators, and 25 settling ponds. The results indicated that disposal areas, ore hauling, stockpiles, fuel stations, and workshops were the primary sources of water pollution risk. Risk assessment identified two Extreme-risk activities, eight High-risk activities, and two Medium-risk activities. After implementing controls based on the Hierarchy of Control, Extreme-risk activities decreased to zero, High-risk activities decreased to three, Medium-risk activities increased to seven, and Low-risk activities increased to two, indicating improved risk control effectiveness. Engineering controls through settling ponds, sediment traps, oil traps, drainage systems, environmental inspections, and routine water quality monitoring significantly reduced water pollution potential while supporting the implementation of Good Mining Practice. The study concludes that integrating ISO 31000:2018, the HIRADC method, and the Hierarchy of Control provides an effective framework for improving environmental risk management and supporting sustainable nickel mining operations.

Abstract

Listening skills are one of the fundamental abilities that need to be developed from an early age, as they play an essential role in understanding information, communicating effectively, and supporting children's language development. The problem underlying this study was that the listening skills of children aged 4–5 years at TK Permata Hati Aisyiyah, Tasikmalaya City, had not yet developed optimally. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Whisper Chain Game on the listening skills of children aged 4–5 years. The study employed a quantitative method using a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research sample consisted of 23 children aged 4–5 years. Data were collected through observation and documentation and were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test with IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The results showed that the mean pretest score of 7.3913 increased to 7.6522 in the posttest after the implementation of the Whisper Chain Game. However, the paired-samples t-test revealed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.342 (>0.05), indicating that H₀ was accepted and Hₐ was rejected. Therefore, the Whisper Chain Game did not have a statistically significant effect on the listening skills of children aged 4–5 years. Nevertheless, during the intervention, the children demonstrated progress in understanding the sequence of the game, following instructions, and answering questions related to the conveyed messages. Therefore, the Whisper Chain Game can still be considered an alternative learning activity to stimulate children's listening skills when implemented in an engaging, varied, and continuous manner.

Abstract

Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face inequality in the adoption of accounting technology, which causes reporting delays and a high risk of recording errors. This study aims to analyze the effect of the perceived ease of use and usefulness of cloud-based Point of Sale (POS) technology on the speed and accuracy of Accounting Information Systems (AIS), as well as the moderating role of digital competence. This research applies a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a 1-4 Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 100 food and beverage (F&B) MSME respondents in Surabaya City, selected through purposive sampling, and analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS. The results indicate that both ease of use (sig. 0.000) and usefulness (sig. 0.000) of cloud-based POS have a positive and significant effect on the speed and accuracy of AIS. Digital competence was proven to strengthen both effects (sig. 0.009 and 0.040), with an Adjusted R Square of 50.1%. These findings confirm that the success of accounting digitalization among MSMEs is determined not only by the sophistication of the technology but also by the readiness of human resources to utilize it. MSME actors are advised to continuously improve their digital literacy so that the benefits of cloud POS can be optimized.

Abstract

Elementary school students' academic achievement is often viewed merely as a function of cognitive ability, yet students' beliefs about the nature of their own abilities also shape how they respond to learning difficulties. This study aimed to determine the relationship between growth mindset and academic achievement among students at SDN 1 Kembang Sari. A quantitative correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of all 33 students in grades IV, V, and VI of SDN 1 Kembang Sari, selected through total sampling. Growth mindset was measured using a Likert scale adapted from Dweck's framework, while academic achievement was obtained from the documentation of students' current-semester average report card scores. Data were analyzed through normality testing, Pearson Product Moment correlation, and simple linear regression. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed. The correlation test revealed a positive and significant relationship between growth mindset and academic achievement, with a correlation coefficient of 0.521 and a significance value of 0.003 (p < 0.05), categorized as moderate. The regression analysis showed that growth mindset accounted for 27.1% of the variance in students' academic achievement, while the remaining 72.9% was explained by other factors outside this study. These findings indicate that the higher students' growth mindset, the higher their tendency toward academic achievement. This study recommends that elementary school teachers regularly provide feedback that emphasizes learning process and effort in order to foster a growth mindset from an early age.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the state and accessibility of science education materials in upper-grade elementary school classrooms in Bandung Regency's Cileunyi District. 35 upper-grade teachers from 24 elementary schools—18 public and 6 private—participated in the study, which used a quantitative descriptive methodology. A 4-point Likert scale questionnaire was used to collect data between May and July of 2026. Aspects of science learning media availability and condition, including media completeness, maintenance, storage facilities, and staff in charge of media checks, were taken into consideration when developing the study instrument. Descriptive statistics were used to assess the data by computing score achievement percentages and categorizing the results. The findings show that, with an achievement level of 61.67%, the availability of science learning materials falls into the "complete" category. In the meantime, the media's success level of 59.71% places it in the "adequate" category. In terms of condition, storage facilities scored 65.36% (good), inspection staff scored 56.43% (adequate), and media maintenance scored 55.00% (sufficient). These results show that science education materials are reasonably accessible in primary schools; however, their state and administration need to be improved, especially with regard to upkeep and routine inspections. This study offers an empirical summary of the availability and state of science learning materials, providing schools with a foundation for improving learning resource management and guaranteeing that media continue to be operational, well-maintained, and prepared for use in supplementing science instruction in upper-grade elementary classes.

Abstract

The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence (Generative AI) technology in the production of Indonesian-language text presents new challenges for maintaining academic integrity and the authenticity of written works. This phenomenon has sparked concerns about the erosion of originality of ideas and the increasingly blurred line between original human thought and algorithmic output. This study aims to formulate comprehensive differentiation indicators to distinguish the authenticity of human authors’ ideas from AI-generated texts based on the Indonesian language. The method used is qualitative descriptive analysis through critical discourse analysis and syntactic analysis of a comparative corpus, consisting of students’ academic papers and AI-generated texts based on similar (prompts). The evaluation focused on the depth of argumentation, cohesion-coherence structure, stylistic dynamics, and syntactic uniqueness. The results indicate that AI-generated texts tend to exhibit rigid sentence patterns, repetitive logical structures, and a lack of constructions reflecting subjective experiential context. In contrast, human writing exhibits rhetorical depth, flexibility in syntactic variation, and originality of ideas rooted in critical reasoning. These findings yield a new analytical framework that higher education institutions can apply to detect and validate the authenticity of academic works in Indonesian more objectively.
