Abstract

Children with speech delays often exhibit suboptimal logical thinking skills. Limitations in language skills and understanding instructions hinder children from recognizing patterns, solving basic problems, and understanding cause-and-effect relationships. Therefore, a planned, contextual, concrete, and enjoyable learning approach is needed to accommodate these children's unique characteristics. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of a learning center strategy using traditional banana puppet media to develop logical thinking skills in 3-year-old children with speech delays. A descriptive-qualitative approach was used. Data were collected through direct observation of children's activities, interviews with educators, and documentation of children's development. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively to evaluate the development of subjects' cognitive and logical abilities before and after the intervention. The results showed that the integration of learning center strategies (especially art centers and role-playing centers) with the use of concrete banana puppet media was able to attract attention, increase active participation, and stimulate children's thinking skills optimally. Through imaginative activities such as creating characters, role-playing, and storytelling using banana stem puppets, children naturally learn to construct logical thought processes and understand the concept of cause and effect. This concrete approach also supports the restoration of language aspects as a primary prerequisite for developing cognitive abilities in early childhood. The learning center strategy combined with the traditional banana puppet medium is effective in facilitating and stimulating the development of logical thinking skills in a natural, interactive, and non-pressurizing manner in 3-year-old children with speech delays.

Abstract

Educational quality is a crucial factor in improving the quality of human resources and enhancing national competitiveness. Achieving quality education requires well-planned, systematic, and sustainable quality management strategies at both school and higher education levels. This study aimpentis to analyze quality management strategies implemented in educational institutions and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation in improving educational quality. The study employed a library research method using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through an extensive review of scientific journal articles, books, educational regulations, and policy documents related to educational quality management. The findings indicate that effective quality management strategies include visionary leadership, continuous professional development of teachers and educational staff, the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement, the integration of information technology, and active stakeholder participation. These strategies contribute to improved learning quality, institutional governance, student satisfaction, and graduate competitiveness. However, quality management implementation continues to face several challenges, including limited resources, disparities in educational quality across regions, weak quality culture, and the need to adapt to rapid technological advancements. Therefore, strong commitment and collaboration among all stakeholders are essential to fostering a culture of quality focused on continuous improvement, thereby ensuring sustainable enhancement of educational quality.

Abstract

The Incomer construction project for the 150 kV High Voltage Overhead Line (SUTT) connecting GI Tempadung and GI KTT PT Mitra Murni Perkasa (MMP) in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, faces various construction risks due to challenging physical site conditions and its proximity to an active existing transmission network. This study aims to identify potential risks, measure risk levels, and formulate mitigation strategies using the Risk Matrix method based on the ISO 31000:2018 risk management framework. The study applies a quantitative approach through a case study method. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 30 respondents from PLN UIP, PLN UPP, PLN Pusmanpro/MK, and the executing contractor, selected using purposive sampling. Risk levels were calculated using the equation R = P x I, then mapped into three categories: low, medium, and high. The study identified 54 risk indicators across 10 variable groups. The research instrument proved valid in substance and highly reliable, with a Spearman-Brown coefficient of 0.980. The Risk Matrix analysis produced 2 High Risk variables, 30 Medium Risk variables, and 22 Low Risk variables. The highest risks stem from extreme weather (R = 17.12) and difficult access to tower foundation sites (R = 15.08). The recommended mitigation strategy combines Risk Acceptance and Risk Mitigation, including real-time weather monitoring, adaptive work scheduling, and planning of dedicated access routes to tower points.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has positioned recommendation algorithm-based platforms as strategic components in determining how information is accessed, distributed, and consumed within cyberspace. These algorithms are developed through sophisticated data processing and computational modeling techniques that possess substantial economic value, thereby raising legal debates regarding their status as objects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). This study aims to examine the forms of intellectual property protection applicable to recommendation algorithm systems used by digital platforms and to analyze the implications of their implementation from the perspective of telematics ethics. The research employs a normative juridical approach through the examination of statutory regulations, legal doctrines, and practices developing within the digital industry. The findings reveal that recommendation algorithms may qualify for legal protection as trade secrets or patents, provided they fulfill the requirements of confidentiality, economic value, and identifiable technical features. Nevertheless, the implementation of such protection continues to face significant challenges, particularly due to the absence of comprehensive regulations governing algorithmic transparency, personal data protection, and the potential for digital discrimination resulting from algorithmic modeling processes. The study concludes that strengthening intellectual property protection for recommendation algorithms should be accompanied by the application of telematics ethics principles, including accountability, proportional transparency, and respect for users' rights, in order to ensure that technological innovation remains aligned with the public interest and the principles of digital justice.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology in the field of education has encouraged the adoption of various innovative learning media capable of providing more interactive and engaging learning experiences while bringing students closer to real-life situations. One of the technologies with significant potential to support the learning process is Virtual Reality (VR), which enables students to gain learning experiences through immersive simulations of virtual environments. This study aims to analyze students’ responses to the use of Virtual Reality media and to examine the effectiveness of its implementation in creating a realistic learning environment in the Agricultural Product Processing subject for Grade XI students of the Agribusiness of Agricultural Product Processing (APHP) program at SMKN 3 Takalar. This research employed an experimental method conducted at SMKN 3 Takalar. The population consisted of all students enrolled in the Agribusiness of Agricultural Product Processing (APHP) program, while the research sample included 22 Grade XI APHP students who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data collection was conducted by administering closed-ended questionnaires using a Likert scale to students in both research groups. The findings revealed that the implementation of Virtual Reality media was more effective than expository learning in supporting the creation of a realistic learning environment. This was demonstrated by the questionnaire results, in which the experimental group achieved percentages ranging from 59% to 82%, while the control group obtained assessment percentages ranging from 50% to 73%. Based on these findings, the use of Virtual Reality had a positive impact, both in terms of its utilization as a learning medium and its ability to create a more realistic learning environment. Nevertheless, further development and refinement are still necessary to ensure that the application of Virtual Reality technology in the learning process can be utilized more effectively and adapted to the characteristics and needs of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of morphological errors found in netizens' comments on educational issue posts published on the Instagram account @ditjen.gtk.kemdikbud. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method using a purposive sampling technique by selecting comments that were relevant to educational issues and indicated morphological errors. The findings revealed several types of morphological errors, including affixation errors, the use of non-standard abbreviations and shortened words, errors in writing reduplication, phoneme omission, and the use of word forms that do not conform to the standard rules of the Indonesian language. The most dominant errors were the use of abbreviations such as yg, utk, tdk, and dr, as well as the use of numerals to represent reduplication, such as guru2 and rekan². These findings indicate that language use on social media tends to prioritize practicality over adherence to standard linguistic rules. This study is expected to contribute to linguistic studies, particularly in the field of morphology, and to raise public awareness of the importance of using proper and standard Indonesian in digital communication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the compliance of Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) taxpayers and to evaluate its contribution to Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) in Takalar Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, supported by quantitative data on tax revenue targets and realization for 2020–2024. Data were collected through interviews with four informants (three BAPENDA staff and one taxpayer), and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive qualitative model of Miles and Huberman. The findings show that taxpayer compliance is influenced by four main factors: delays in the distribution of Tax Due Notification Letters (SPPT), limited taxpayer understanding of taxation, cultural barriers and limited access to information, and taxpayer behavior that tends to wait for reminders before paying. In addition, the contribution of PBB-P2 to Takalar's PAD during 2020–2024 remained very low, ranging from 2.37% to 2.94%, and the nominal increase in tax revenue realization was not followed by a proportional increase in its contribution to PAD. These findings underline the need to strengthen tax services, optimize digital technology, and raise public awareness so that the contribution of PBB-P2 to regional fiscal independence can be improved.
