Abstract

This research aims to develop and test the effectiveness of animated video media in improving early reading skills among first-grade elementary school students. The background of this research is based on the minimal use of engaging learning media, especially animation-based media, which affects students' low interest and reading abilities. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a mixed methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative. The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) was chosen to ensure that product development proceeds systematically and structured. The research subjects were 30 first-grade students from SDN Madiun Lor. The validation results show that the animation media received a score of 83.3% from media experts (very good category) and underwent revisions based on input from subject matter experts. The effectiveness test was conducted through pretest and posttest, which showed a 19% improvement in learning outcomes, indicating that the developed media is effective in enhancing early reading skills, particularly in the aspects of letter recognition, pronunciation, comprehension, and students' reading interest. Additionally, observations and interviews indicate that students are more enthusiastic and confident in learning using this media. This animation media is deemed suitable for implementation in early reading instruction in elementary schools. This study concludes that the development of animated video media can significantly improve the quality of early reading instruction and make a tangible contribution to the development of innovative learning media at the elementary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning difficulties of fifth grade students of SD Islam Babussalam Pekanbaru in understanding the material of the ecosystem of living things. The method used is qualitative with a case study design, involving 20 students and teachers through observation, interviews, and tests. The results show that students have difficulties in five aspects: interpreting (40%), exemplifying (60%), classifying (20%), inferencing (50%), and explaining (50%). These difficulties are caused by a lack of understanding of concepts and the use of complex scientific terms. As a solution, it is recommended to apply varied learning methods, increase interaction, and utilize learning media, including videos, which can be accessed at any time. This study highlights the importance of developing appropriate learning media to improve students' understanding of science material.

Abstract

This study is a study on Pancasila Education learning in grade IV. The purpose of this study is to develop learning media using the Sway application that is valid, practical, and effective. This study is a development research (R&D) with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection uses validation sheets and response questionnaires. The validation sheet consists of a material validation sheet, language validation, and media validation. The response questionnaire consists of teacher and student response questionnaires. The trial subjects in this study were 15 students in grade IV of SDN 12 Kampung Lapai, and the distribution subjects were 13 students in grade IV of SDN 19 Kampung Olo. The results of the research on the development of learning media using the Sway application that was developed have been validated and declared valid with an average validator assessment of 95.87%. Based on the results of the teacher and student response questionnaire at SDN 19 Kampung Olo, it can be seen that practical learning media is used with the results of a practicality percentage of 100%, and 95.5%, at SDN 12 Kampung Lapai showing a practicality percentage of 100% and 99.18%, and then the results of the effectiveness of students at SDN 19 Kampung Olo with a percentage of 87.69%, SDN 12 Kampung Lapai got a percentage and 91.33%. Thus, it can be concluded that learning using the Sway application has been declared valid, practical, and effective for use in learning.

Abstract

Independent Curriculum is an educational concept that provides freedom, flexibility, and creativity in the teaching and learning process. In Indonesia, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum aims to create learning that is more in line with the development and needs of students. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Geography learning at SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu, Agam Regency. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a qualitative descriptive research type that focuses on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Geography learning at SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu, Agam Regency. The subjects in this study consisted of the Vice Principal for Curriculum and Geography teachers, as well as students at the school. Data collection methods and techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to conclude existing findings based on the data that had been analyzed. Based on the results of the study, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Geography learning at SMA Negeri 1 Banuhampu showed significant efforts from the school in making the policy a success. In planning, the school has prepared learning tools that are adjusted to the principles of the Independent Curriculum, by involving teachers in training and workshops to improve their understanding of this curriculum. The implementation of the curriculum in the classroom is carried out with a more flexible method, providing space for students to explore the material independently and actively. Evaluation of the implementation of the curriculum is carried out through observation and feedback from students and teachers, which shows that this curriculum has succeeded in creating a more enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere, although there are still challenges in terms of fulfilling facilities and the readiness of some educators who need to be further encouraged.

Abstract

The importance of the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving student discipline, supporting and inhibiting factors that shape students' disciplined character, efforts made by Islamic religious education teachers in shaping students' disciplined character. There needs to be habits so that students' disciplined character is formed. So that it is related to the problem that the author wants to research. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in efforts to shape the disciplined character of students at SDIT Daarul Hasanah. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The number of informants consists of the principal, 1 Islamic Religious Education teacher, 6 students. data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. while data analysis techniques are used to collect data, data reduction and conclusions. The results of the study show that student discipline at SDIT Daarul Hasanah has been running well. the supporting factors are good coordination between Islamic Religious Education teachers and the part in implementing SOP or school regulations. where students who violate the rules are punished so that what was initially bad becomes better.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve students' learning outcomes in the cognitive domain in the Pancasila Education subject by implementing the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by dice media with pictures and pyramids of diversity in grade III students of SD 2 Singocandi in February 2025 with the material Different is Beautiful. The research method used in this study is classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages, namely the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects in this study were 31 grade III students of SD 2 Singocandi consisting of 19 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques in this study include interviews, observations, tests, and documentation. Student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain in cycle I increased with an average percentage of 64%, and in cycle II increased with an average percentage of 77%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by dice media with pictures and pyramids of diversity can improve the learning outcomes of Pancasila Education in grade III students.

Abstract

The curriculum is a structured educational planning aimed at the development of character and the improvement of the quality of life of students in line with the needs of society. In the lesson, the curriculum encompasses goals, materials, methods, and content as a guideline to achieve educational objectives. Curriculum renewal is crucial for making the learning process more effective and aligned with the developments in knowledge and technology. One significant reform in Indonesia is the introduction of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2021, which provides freedom for schools to determine learning materials according to the potential and needs of students. However, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum faces several challenges, including whether schools are ready for the application of this curriculum. The research method used is literature study with a qualitative approach. Data collection is carried out through a systematic review of various sources such as books, scientific articles, journals, and official documents related to the curriculum and its implementation. The data obtained is analyzed descriptively to describe and interpret various issues that arise in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and the efforts of curriculum renewal in Indonesia. This research aims to delve deeper into the problems that arise in the implementation of the Merdeka Learning Curriculum in Indonesia so that it can provide solutions for its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mathematics learning media based on ethnomathematics using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, integrating the local culture of the Bagas Godang traditional house. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fifth-grade students at SD IT Riadhul Habibi. The results indicate that the developed media is valid based on evaluations by media experts, material experts, and test item experts, and received positive responses from both teachers and students. Furthermore, the media effectivelyenhanced students' critical thinking skills, as evidenced by significant improvements in pretest and posttest scores, with high N-Gain values. Incorporating local cultural elements into the learning media made mathematics learning more contextual, meaningful, and engaging. However, some limitations remain, such as the lack of written educational information and the absence of usage guidelines. Therefore, further development is recommended to refine the media and expand its application across more diverse educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ academic performance in Science through the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach among eighth-grade students at SMP Sriwedari. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using formative tests and observations of student activities during the learning process. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes across the cycles. Prior to the intervention (pre-cycle), the student mastery level was only 33.33%. After implementing the CRT approach, the mastery level increased to 66.67% in the first cycle and further rose to 88.89% in the second cycle. These results indicate that CRT is effective in enhancing science learning outcomes and fostering active student engagement by connecting instructional content to their cultural and environmental context.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of some students at SMPN 1 Omben District, Sampang Regency in PAIBP subjects. For this reason, researchers apply the index card match method to provide increased learning outcomes to students so that by using this method students are very active and enthusiastic in participating in the learning process, especially in Islamic religious education and ethics subjects. In this study, the research focus is only on how “The Application of the Index Card Match Method in Islamic Religious Education and Ethics Subjects to Improve Learning Outcomes of Grade VII Students at SMPN 1 Omben District, Sampang Regency”. This research is a type of PTK class action research which is carried out in two cycles, each cycle includes 4 stages, namely planning, implementing observation and reflection. The population in this study were seventh grade SMPN students with a sample of 22 students and data collection was carried out by observing documentation tests to improve student learning outcomes. The result of this study is the application of the index card match method can significantly improve student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and Cultivation subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Omben, Sampang Regency. This is evidenced in the first cycle, the increase in student learning outcomes on average is 71.55% by using the index card match method on the material of recognizing god through several memorized asmaul al-husna, there were 6 students who were declared complete and 16 students who were not complete. Then in cycle II there was an increase, namely with an average of 81.54% by using the index card match method on the material of realizing goodness, there were 21 students who were declared complete and 1 student who was not complete.
