Jurnal elementary merupakan jurnal yang memuat naskah atau hasil penelitian di bidang Pendidikan Dasar yang dikelola oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) FKIP UM Mataram dan terbit pertama kali Januari 2018. Jurnal Elementary diperuntukan untuk mempublikasikan tulisan Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar yang berupa hasil penelitian maupun hasil kajian teori. Dengan adanya Jurnal Elementary diharapkan memudahkan untuk membagi informasi dan pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan yang dapat diakses secara luas. Jurnal Elementary ini terbit secara berkala sebanyak 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu Januari dan Juni.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the availability of teaching materials for science subjects in class IV. The type of research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subject was a fourth grade teacher at SD Negeri 1 Cempaga and analyzed the availability of science teaching materials as the research object. The instruments used were interviews and observations. Next, the data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results show that teachers use printed teaching materials and the media used are concrete media and digital media. Teachers in class IV at SD Negeri 1 Cempaga need more varied teaching materials so that they can support the science learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan ular tangga yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran pada materi sistem peredaran darah manusia di kelas V SDN 1 Bagik Manis. Media ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep dasar organ peredaran darah manusia dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan interaktif. Menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Media ini dikembangkan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pembuatan prototipe, dan uji coba. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media permainan ular tangga dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dan membantu mereka memahami materi sistem peredaran darah dengan lebih efektif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran yang efektif adalah hasil dari efek sinergis dari tiga pilar utama:guru, siswa, dan materi belajar Guru bertindak sebagai mediator yang memimpin proses pembelajaran Siswa sebagai mata pelajaran aktif yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran Bahan yang digunakan sebagai media yang menghubungkan keduanya Dalam konteks kurikulum independen, ketiga pilar ini telah mengalami transformasi besar Guru harus lebih mudah beradaptasi dan kreatif untuk memberikan materi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa Siswa didorong untuk menjadi lebih mandiri dan lebih kritis dalam proses pembelajaran Bahan studi ditempatkan dalam pendekatan yang lebih fleksibel dan fokus pada pengembangan keterampilan penting Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan interaksi tiga pilar dalam menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa yang bermakna Sebuah studi literatur baru -baru ini menemukan bahwa keberhasilan belajar sangat bergantung pada kolaborasi yang harmonis antara guru, siswa dan konteks.Abstract:  Effective learning is the result of the synergistic effect of three main pillars: teachers, students, and learning materials. Teachers act as mediators who guide the learning process; students serve as active participants engaged in learning; and materials function as the medium that connects both. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, these three pillars have undergone significant transformations. Teachers are required to be more adaptive and creative in delivering materials that are relevant to students’ needs. Students are encouraged to be more independent and critical in their learning process. Learning materials are developed using a more flexible approach and focus on the development of essential skills. This article aims to analyze the roles and interactions of these three pillars in creating a meaningful, student-centered learning process. Recent literature studies indicate that learning success largely depends on the harmonious collaboration between teachers, students, and contextualized materials.

Abstract

This study aims to identify (1) the needs of teachers regarding student worksheets (LKPD), (2) the prototype of student worksheets (LKPD), (3) the feasibility of student worksheets (LKPD) based on Problem Based Learning integrated with the local wisdom of Bali. This research is a type of R&D (Research and Development) involving potential and problem analysis, data collection, product design, validation, and revision. The subject of the research is fourth-grade teachers, and the object of this research is the problem-based learning (PBL) student worksheets integrated with local wisdom. The data collection techniques in this study are interviews and questionnaires, with instruments in the form of interview sheets and questionnaires. The data analysis of the research uses descriptive statistics. Based on the interview results, it can be concluded that teachers need student worksheets to support the learning process in schools to encourage student participation in class and motivate students to learn. The design of the student worksheets developed consists of a title, introduction, materials and sources, stages of activities, questions, and evaluation. The validation results show an average score of 89, categorized as valid, thus the student worksheets based on Problem-Based Learning integrated with local Balinese wisdom are deemed suitable for use.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop an Android-based learning media for teaching integer arithmetic operations to elementary and primary school (SD/MI) students. The study employed a research and development (R&D) approach, adopting the model proposed by Hoge, Tondora, and Marrelli, which consists of seven systematic stages: (1) Defining Objectives, including a thorough needs analysis and goal setting for the learning media; (2) Securing Technical Support, which involved selecting appropriate software, including Canva, iSpring Suite 10, and Website 2 APK, to convert the media into an Android-compatible format; (3) Developing and Implementing Communication and Education Plans, ensuring collaboration with media and subject matter experts to align content with educational standards; (4) Planning the Methodology, including storyboard creation, material selection, and interface design; (5) Identifying and Creating the Model, building and refining prototypes based on expert feedback; (6) Applying the Model, conducting small and large group trials to evaluate effectiveness and user experience; and (7) Evaluating and Refining the Model, improving the media based on user feedback and performance data. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 45 Mataram during the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, involving first and fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, with both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results indicated that the developed learning media received high ratings across multiple aspects: content quality (average score 4.6, categorized as 'Excellent'), media design (average score 4.5, 'Excellent'), and technical functionality (average score 4.7, 'Excellent'). Small group trials with 10 students yielded an average feasibility score of 89.5%, while large group trials with 20 students reached 91.75%, both categorized as 'Highly Feasible'. These findings suggest that the developed Android-based learning media is highly effective in enhancing student motivation, understanding, and engagement in mathematics learning, making it a valuable tool for elementary education.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya SD Negeri Cimpon dalam mengembangkan sekolah ramah anak. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan naturalistik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya SD Negeri Cimpon dalam mengembangkan sekolah ramah anak sebagai berikut. Pertama, membentuk tim pelaksana sekolah ramah anak dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, pendidik, tenaga kependidikan, komite sekolah, orang tua, dan peserta didik. Kedua, menyusun ulang tata tertib. Ketiga, melakukan pengisian daftar periksa potensi bersama orang tua dan peserta didik. Keempat, menyusun perencanaan pengembangan. Kelima, pelaksanaan dalam mengoptimalkan pengembangan sekolah ramah anak dilakukan sesuai komponen sekolah ramah anak. Keenam, SD Negeri Cimpon tidak memiliki kendala dalam mengembangkan sekolah ramah anak yang dapat dilihat dari tingkat partisipasi dan kerjasama yang dilakukan guru, komite sekolah, orang tua, dan peserta didik.Abstract: This study aims to determine the efforts of Cimpon Public Elementary School in developing a child-friendly school. This research is a qualitative study with a naturalistic approach. The results of this study indicate that Cimpon Public Elementary School's efforts in developing a child-friendly school are as follows. First, forming a child-friendly school implementation team involving the principal, educators, education staff, school committee, parents, and students. Second, restructuring the rules and regulations. Third, completing a potential checklist with parents and students. Fourth, compiling a development plan. Fifth, implementation in optimizing the development of a child-friendly school is carried out according to the components of a child-friendly school. Sixth, Cimpon Public Elementary School does not experience obstacles in developing a child-friendly school as can be seen from the level of participation and cooperation carried out by teachers, school committee, parents, and students.

Abstract

Abstrak: Guru diharapkan mampu menjadi contoh yang baik bagi siswa, khususnya dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai kedisiplinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran guru dalam menumbuhkan sikap disiplin siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan datanya berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur penelitian yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menumbuhkan sikap disiplin siswa. Melalui berbagai metode seperti pemberian contoh, pemberian motivasi, serta penerapan reward dan punishment. Dengan demikian, peran guru sangat menentukan dalam menumbuhkan sikap disiplin siswa sekolah dasar.Abstract: Teachers are expected to be good examples for students, especially in instilling the values of discipline. This study aims to explain the role of teachers in fostering students' discipline at the elementary school level. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection in the form of observations, interviews, and studies of relevant research literature. The results of this study indicate that teachers have a very important role in fostering students' discipline. Through various methods such as giving examples, providing motivation, and implementing rewards and punishments. Thus, the role of teachers is very important in fostering students' discipline.

Abstrak: Penelitian tentang analisis kesulitan siswa dalam pembelajaran menulis permulaan di kelas I SDN Puwoyoso 2 Kota Semarang, memiliki fokus penelitian: Kesulitan membaca dan menulis permulaan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SDN Puwoyoso 2 Kota Semarang, dan upaya guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca dan menulis permulaan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SDN Puwoyoso 2 Kota Semarang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan kesulitan siswa dalam pembelajaran membaca dan menulis permulaan di kelas I SDN Puwoyoso 2 Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Data penelitian ini merupakan hasil wawancara dengan informan. Data tersebut berasal dari guru, kepala sekolah dan siswa kelas I Puwoyoso 2 Kota Semarang. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data penelitian diperiksa keabsahannya dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber.Abstract: This research on analyzing students' difficulties in learning to write beginnings in class I of SDN Puwoyoso 2 Semarang City, has a research focus: Difficulties in reading and writing beginnings in Indonesian language learning at SDN Puwoyoso 2 Semarang City, and teacher efforts in overcoming difficulties in reading and writing beginnings in Indonesian language learning at Puwoyoso 2 Semarang City. The purpose of this study was to determine and describe the difficulties of students in learning to read and write beginnings in class I Puwoyoso 2 Semarang City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using the case study method. The data of this research is the result of interviews with informants. The data came from teachers, principals and students of class I Puwoyoso 2 Semarang City. The data were analyzed using techniques stated by data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusions. The research data was checked for validity using triangulation of techniques and sources.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning merupakan pembelajaran yang berfokus pada pemecahan masalah yang dapat diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran IPAS pada konsep siklus daur air. Pembelajaran siklus daur air dapat diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based learning dengan berbantukan media diorama. Berdasarkan observasi di SDN Krapyak pembelajaran dikelas V ternyata guru belum menguasai penerapan model Problem Based learning dan media pembelajaran khususnya pada konsep siklus daur air, hal ini berpengaruh kepada hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan melakukan penerapan model Problem Based learning berbantukan media diorama siklus air. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian merupakan siswa kelas V SDN Krapyak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan soal tes (evaluasi). Prosedur Penelitian dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model siklus Kurt Lewin, dimana dalam kegiatan penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran. Penelitian dapat dikatakan tuntas apabila siswa dapat mencapai skor KKM 75 pada soal tes (evaluasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada materi konsep siklus daur air mampu meningkatkan hasil awal prasiklus hingga sampai tahapan siklus I dan kegiatan siklus II.Abstract: The application of the Problem Based learning model is learning that focuses on problem solving which can be applied to the science and science learning process on the concept of the water cycle. Learning the water cycle cycle can be taught using a problem-based learning model with the help of diorama media. Based on observations at SDN Krapyak learning in class V it turned out that teachers had not mastered the application of problem-based learning models and learning media, especially in the concept of the water cycle cycle, this had an effect on student learning outcomes. This type of research is collaborative classroom action research (CAR). The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Problem Based learning model with the help of the water cycle diorama media. Data analysis in this study uses qualitative and quantitative analysis. The subjects in the study were fifth grade students at SDN Krapyak. Data collection techniques used observation and test questions (evaluation). Research procedures in this classroom action research used the Kurt Lewin cycle model, where the research activities were carried out in two learning cycles. Research can be said to be complete if students can achieve a KKM score of 75 on test questions (evaluation). The results showed that the learning outcomes of class V students on the concept material of the water cycle cycle were able to increase based on the initial results of the pre-cycle up to the stages of cycle I and cycle II activities.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan karakter anak di jogja greenschool, mengetahui peran sekolah alam dalam pengembangan karakter anak, mengetahui pendekatan pembelajaran terhadap siswa menggunakan metode berbasis alam. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif teknik pengumpulan data, teknik analisis data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah jogja green school adalah salah satu sekolah alam yang memiliki pendekatan khusus dalam pendidikan karakter yang melibatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Pengembangan karakter sangat penting untuk membentuk kepribadian seseorang dan mempengaruhi cara mereka berinteraksi dengan dunia sekitar. Pada era yang serba digital dan cepat, tantangan dalam mendidik anak-anak untuk memiliki karakter yang baik semakin besar. Banyak anak yang terpapar oleh berbagai pengaruh luar yang bisa mengurangi kesadaran mereka akan pentingnya nilai moral, sosial, dan lingkungan.Abstract: This research aims to determine the character development of children at Jogja Greenschool, determine the role of natural schools in developing children's character, determine the learning approach for students using nature-based methods. The method in this research uses qualitative methods, data collection techniques, data analysis techniques. The results of this research are that Jogja Green School is a natural school that has a special approach to character education that involves active participation of students in daily activities. Character development is very important to shape a person's personality and influence the way they interact with the world around them. In this digital and fast era, the challenges in educating children to have good character are getting bigger. Many children are exposed to various external influences that can reduce their awareness of the importance of moral, social and environmental values.
