Abstract

This study was conducted at Park High School Associate mother Pawiyatan in Yogyakarta. This is a form of qualitative descriptive research. Footage used in this study is purposive sampling with criterion-based selection. Data collection was carried out by direct observation, in-depth interviews, and recording documents. Data validation is done by triangulation. The analysis used is interactive model, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion.The results of this study concluded that the pattern of application of character education in high school Taman Madya Mother Pawiyatan Yogyakarta is through learning curriculum (there are lessons that teach morals or manners), extracurricular activities, school culture, and exemplary teachers. Another pattern that is applied in Madya Park High School Mother is a system Pawiyatan Among the methods of educating the spirit of kinship which jointed to the independence and the nature of nature. The system was implemented to give students freedom to develop according to his ability with a family approach. Perceptions of teachers and students about character education will affect the implementation in schools. Perceptions of teachers and students about character education that appeared in the high school Taman Madya Mother Pawiyatan more emphasis on character concepts taught Ki Hajar Dewantara. Perception is based on the ideology that is applied at each school. The success of character education in schools can be seen from the actualization (practice) students in the form of attitude or action that looks at students. Actualization that appears on the high school student in Taman Madya Pawiyatan mother is covering tolerance, religious, discipline, honesty, creative, cooperative, communicative, caring, independent, patriotism and responsibility.

Abstract

Marriage is not only aiming to channel the biological potential of Allah given to men in a way that is good and right, as well as to obtain good and clear descent nasab as well as maintenance of effort and approach to Allah SWT. From this marriage has a strong link in the education of children. Education of children begins before the wedding is to look for a husband and wife are devout candidate will be able to provide a good education for their children. Only then will emerge from the marriage education responsibilities to their children either in the womb, when born into the world, and until he was an adult.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe, discover, and explain the language politeness in paper examination dialogue at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. Principal problems in this research is to know how the violation at language politeness in the dialogue of paper examination at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung. This research used a qualitative approach by using content analysis methods and inductive procedures. The data collecting by recording conversations, noted conversation; classify conversations, and select conversation units from research corpus as a analyzed data unit. The result of researh showed in the dialogue paper examinantion at STKIP PGRI Bandar Lampung between examiner and students have found the violation of language politeness. The results of research recommended for consideration in preparing the teaching programe pragmatics subjects, discourse analysis, and speaking skills; and for more advanced research based on the speaker background of the other experts.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the ability to write a summary of popular science books, as well as to determine the obstacles to writing a summary of the popular science books, especially the students of class IX Junior High School of Pangudi Luhur Bandar Lampung academic year 2013/2014.The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Meanwhile, the population in this study were all students of class IX Junior High School of Pangudi Luhur Bandar Lampung academic year 2013/2014. While the data collection, this study took 30 students sampled from the population using a random sampling technique.From the results of the data that has been analyzed, known to the average value and the average ability level of students as a whole and per indicator, in summary writing popular science books. Overall, the average value (was 59 and the average level of capability that is in the medium category. Whereas, the average value and the average ability level of students per each indicator are: (1) a summary of the language indicator: = 37 and the average level of ability in the low category, (2) a summary indicator of the suitability of the content of the book: = 56 and the average ability level in the medium category, (3) indicators completeness of the content: = 93 and the average ability level in the category very good, (4) the indicator word choice / diction: = 68 and the average level of ability in both categories, (5) sentence structure indicators: = 52 and the average ability level in the medium category, (6) indicators of the correct use of spelling and punctuation: = 49 and the average level of ability in the low category.

Abstract

The need for guidance services in kindergarten emerges from the characteristics and developmental problems that occur in childhood. During the development of kindergarten children, the problem may hinder the achievement of the development of the next period, and also affects other aspects of development. Guidance services as an attempt to aid the teacher in children carried out jointly with the learning processes that occur. This means that when the teachers teach can also act as mentors children. Teachers understanding of the problems experienced by children of kindergarten are different from each other making teachers need to help children overcome problems flexibly. Teachers can not provide assistance with the same approach to each child, because it needs solving problems in children different from each other.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah adapengaruh pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)dengankelompok kecil terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Metode yang digunakandalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasinya adalah SiswaKelas VIII Semester genap SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung. Sampel terdiridari 2 kelas yaitu VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 25 siswadan kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 25 siswa denganteknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian inimenggunakan tes essay. Analisis data menggunakan metode statistiksederhana dengan rumus t-tes sebagai berikut :t = x 1 − x 2s1n1+1n2dengan s =n1−1 s1 2+ n2−1 s2 2n1+n2−2Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh harga t hit = 4,34 dari tabledistribusi pada taraf signifikan 5% diketahui tdaf = t(1-1/2 ) = 2,02 dan tdaf =t(1- α) = 1,68. Terbukti thit > tdaf .

Abstract

Teachers talk in the classroom when they give instructions, provide feedback, ask questions to elicit information and when they give explanations. Students on the other hand talk when they answer questions, prepare for a speaking task, perform a speaking task, asking questions and of course when side-talking to friends. During different sections of a lesson, more or less teacher talk is appropriate because he/she will need to speak more to explain the concept and give examples.

Abstract

Social attitudes is an important thing in life together in a society. This is because during his life humans will never be separated in the presence of an interaction with another human being. With a good social interaction is expected to lead to social feelings that can bind the individual to his fellow human beings in the form of mutual help, respect and accept, sympathy, and so on.Social Studies has the noble task as the foundation of the development potential of learners, intellectually, socially, culturally and socially, which is able to foster a way of thinking, attitude and behavior are responsible as individuals, citizens, and citizens as well as citizens of the world. Additionally Sciences also has the task of developing social values in shaping social attitudes of learners in the face of social problems, both of which draw themselves and society that occur in everyday life.Teachers are required to demonstrate high creativity in developing learning in the classroom, and is expected to achieve breakthrough in social studies learning, so that learning becomes meaningful learning undertaken. Learning that promotes mastery of competencies focus on learners, provide learning and provide learning experiences relevant and contextualized subject matter and develop a rich and strong mentally to students.

Abstract

This research entitled A Study on Grammatical Errors in English Sentences Written by the Second Grade Students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan is intended to find out the grammatical errors made by the second grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Prambanan and to find out the highest frequency of grammatical errors made by the students.This research is qualitative research. The object of this research is grammatical errors in English sentences. In collecting the data, the researcher uses testing technique. She gives the students some exercises, collects the students‟ exercises, and puts the exercises into a research data file. In analyzing the data, the researcher applies descriptive qualitative method. The researcher reads the students‟ English sentences. She observes the data carefully to find out grammatical errors. She takes note on the grammatical errors and then classifies and tabulates them based on the kinds of grammatical errors.The result of the study shows that the grammatical errors found in the students‟ sentences deal with omission errors, addition errors, misformation errors, and misordering errors. The highest frequency of grammatical errors lies on the use of be form.

Abstract

Vocabulary is entirely important to be learns. In order that the students can express their minds, make sentences, interact and also catch the meaning from the context. This research applied Word Webs Game in teaching vocabulary. This research analyzed the result of application of the technique in order to know the influence of Word Webs game.The number all population in this research are 161 students. It used an experimental method in this research. It took two classes as the sample. The sample is taken by using Cluster Random Sampling Technique. The form of the test is objective test that is multiple choice that consist of 50 items of vocabulary test.Before conducting the research, it is assumed that the students had the same characteristics, qualities and also status. The result of the research showed that there was positive influence of Word Webs Game towards students’ vocabulary mastery at the second semester at SMP Dharmapala Bandar Lampung in 2012/2013. It is shown from the distribution list df = 40 obtained the 3.24 and for α = 5 % or 2.00, α = 1 % or 0.01 = 2.66, so the result is 2.00 < 3.24 > 2.66. So, Ho is accepted and ha is rejected.The Average score of post test in experiment class was 68.75, while the average score of post test in control class was 57.67. It is indicated that the average score of post test in experiment class was higher than the average score of post test in control class. So, it can be concluded that there was positive influence in of Word Webs game towards students’ vocabulary mastery.
