Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of murottal therapy on β-endorphin levels and blood pressure in older people. The method used is quasi-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design. The results showed that the β-endorphin levels in older people before the intervention had a mean value of + 349,910 pg/ml, and after the intervention, the average value was + 432,849 pg/ml (p-value = 0.001). The study's systolic and diastolic blood pressure results before and after the intervention had a p-value = 0.000. In conclusion, Murottal therapy effectively increases levels of the hormone β-endorphin and lowers blood pressure. Keywords: Elderly, blood pressure, murottal therapy, β-endorphins

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the DHF mosquito nest eradication program (PSN) using the CIPP model. The method used is a qualitative research design with analytical descriptive data. The results showed that the DHF program manager knew the context factor; the input factor indicated that human resources were sufficient in PSN activities, but more than the facilities/infrastructure and funds were needed. The process factor told that PSN DBD activities had been carried out but needed to be more optimal because of community barriers. Who must know the importance of PSN and inactive larva monitoring cadres (JUMANTIK)? At the same time, the product factor for PSN activities is still low because it is only carried out during high cases and the rainy season. In conclusion, PSN activities must be carried out routinely to reduce the breeding of DHF mosquitoes by involving the community through the one house one Friday movement (GIRIJ). Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of non-pharmacological interventions in diabetes mellitus patients with sleep disturbances. The research method used was a systematic review with a randomized controlled trial (RCT) and quasi-experimental design. Article searches used five databases, Scopus, Proquest, ScienceDirect, Pubmed, and EbscoHost, published from January 2018 to December 2022. The results showed that eight articles met the criteria. Non-pharmacological interventions given to diabetes mellitus patients with sleep disorders include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), aromatherapy, personalized intervention, and nutritional therapy. Most studies report that non-pharmacological interventions can improve sleep quality in diabetes mellitus patients with sleep disorders. CBT therapy is the recommended therapy that is more effective. In conclusion, non-pharmacological interventions can be used as a companion or substitute therapy to improve sleep quality in patients with diabetes mellitus who experience sleep disturbances. Abstract

This study aims to identify the competence of nurses after participating in CPD and the process of implementing CPD. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The analysis results show a significant relationship between Continuing Professionalism Development (CPD) through webinars and nurse competence (p = 0.000). This study found that from the nurse's characteristics, only the level of education influenced the activities to take part in CPD through the webinar, a value of p < 0.05. In contrast, the other nurses' characteristics had no effect. In conclusion, nurse characteristics and CPD implementation activities affect the competencies obtained only by 46.4%, and factors outside of nurse characteristics influence the rest.
