Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has wholly changed all aspects of life, including the learning system in higher education. So that the learning process must be carried out with a total distance education model, in its implementation, it is not accompanied by good planning. The main purpose of this study is to describe and examine the differences in the experiences of lecturers and students in carrying out the learning process with the distance education model as the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This research was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach and a different test. The research instrument is a questionnaire designed based on distance education theory. The measurement scale uses a Likert scale (1=strongly disagree to 5=strongly agree). Data were collected through surveys to lecturers and students. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the questionnaire was designed in a Google Form and distributed through the WhatsApp Group of colleagues at several Islamic Universities in Indonesia. The number of respondents collected was N=527 (n=123 lecturers and n=404 students). Before data analysis, data were edited, and the result was that all data were declared valid. Data analysis used the Categorization Index and a different test with the Independent-Samples Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test approach. The results of the descriptive research show that the learning process using the distance education model, from the experience of the lecturers, is stated to be less effective and even tends to be ineffective. Student experience also shows the same thing, which is less effective, and the small number of many students say it is effective. The difference in experience in the learning process with the distance education model between lecturers and students is different. This difference is caused by the habit between lecturers and students using information technology devices as a medium in distance education that is not the same.

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal the management of education financing at the Putra Darul Hikam Dago Giri boarding school Bandung. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of field research. The results showed that the education financing management at the Putra Darul Hikam Dago Giri boarding school Bandung, includes: Planning based on the evaluation of the previous year's budget, which was carried out by the Treasurer, Head of Bureau II and Head of Boarding school approved by the college director. Sources of funding are obtained from guardians of students, boarding, donors and foundations. Financing management includes entry and exit costs which include personnel, non-personnel and investment costs. Operational budget supervision is carried out by the Head of Bureau II and the Director of Darul Hikam College. Financial reports are carried out by two parties, namely by the foundation through the Darul Hikam college and by the chairman of the Boarding which is called the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) system.

Abstract

The curriculum becomes an important component in education. Therefore, the development of curriculum in Islamic education is an inevitability, because change must happen with the times. Therefore, the purpose of this writing will be to review the policy of developing of islamic education curriculum, especially in Indonesia by taking into history and regulations. This article uses library research method with content analysis approach.  The results showed that the Curriculum Development of Islamic Education in the historical review from the independence period to the reform era continues to change according to the conditions and needs. The development of Islamic education curriculum is divided into 3 periods; i.e.  first,  the old order period, there were 3 changes, namely the curriculum in 1947, 1952, and the curriculum in 1964; second, the new order period, there were 4 changes, the curriculum 1968, 1975, 1984, and curriculum 1994; third, the reform period, there have been 3 changes, the 2004 curriculum (KBK), curriculum 2006 (KTSP), curriculum 2013 used until now. While in the review of islamic education curriculum regulation there are 4 categories,  first,  the regulation of madrasah curriculum follows Law Number 20 of 2003 about national education system; second,  the regulation of pesantren curriculum follows Law Number 18 of 2019 about Pesantren; third,  the regulation of islamic religious college curriculum induces Law Number 12 of 2012 about higher education; and  fourth, the regulation of Islamic religious education curriculum for schools / public campuses induces Law Number 20 of 2003 about natioal education system.

Abstract

School-based management emerged as a solution to achieve equal distribution of educational needs in accordance with the context of each school. This study conducted a case study to reveal the obstacles faced by SMAN 8 Rejang Lebong in implementing the school-based management. All parts of SMAN 8 Rejang Lebong from leadership components, teachers, staffs, to students were involved as the informants who were selected purposively to provide the required data. Data were collected using interviews and observations which were then triangulated and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings revealed several obstacles in the application of school-based management, namely: first, curriculum management had been implemented properly, but student learning achievements were still not optimal. Second, the management of Educators and Education ahd been carried out, but the implementation was not optimal. Third, student management had been carried out, but funding for student activities was still lacking. Fourth, financial management had been carried out, but finances were too limited. Fifth, improvement in the management of facilities and infrastructure had been carried out, but it had not been able to support learning achievement. Sixth, the school had carried out the management of school and community relations, but the communication had not been established as expected.

Abstract

Abstract. The goal of this research is to find an instrument that is able to accurately measure the teacher's professional commitment variable as well as provide recommendations to improve it. This research design uses quantitative research with data acquisition through research instruments filled by 449 teachers from the territory of Indonesia through purposive sampling method and data analysis technique using Rasch Modeling. The research instrument before being used was first assessed by experts (expert judgment) and tested on 10 teachers. The reseach found: (1) There were 10 statement items that were proven to be able to accurately measure the teacher's professional commitment variable; (2) Some actions are recommended to increase teacher professional commitment: (i) encourage teachers to commit to completing tasks that exceed the standards set by the school; (ii) encourage teachers to be more actively involved in teacher professional activities; (iii) encourage teachers to internalize school values; (iv) encourage teachers to complete all tasks in school; and (v) encourage teachers to have the ability to adapt to various changes in education.Keywords: professional commitment, Rasch Modeling, teacher commitment Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan sebuah  instrumen yang mampu secara tepat mengukur variabel komitmen profesional guru  sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi untuk  meningkatkannya. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pemerolehan data  melalui instrumen penelitian yang diisi oleh 449 guru dari wilayah Indonesia melalui metode purposive sampling dan teknik analisis data menggunakan Pemodelan Rasch. Instrumen penelitian sebelum digunakan terlebih dahulu mendapat penilaian dari ahli (expert judgement) dan  diujicobakan terhadap 10 guru. Penelitian menemukan: (1) Ditemukan 10 butir pernyataan yang terbukti mampu mengukur dengan tepat (fit) variable komitmen profesional guru; (2) Direkomendasikan beberapa tindakan untuk peningkatan komitmen profesional guru: (i) mendorong guru untuk berkomitmen menyelesaikan tugas yang melebihi standar yang ditetapkan sekolah; (ii) mengupayakan para guru untuk lebih terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan profesional guru; (iii) mendorong guru untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai sekolah; (iv) mendorong guru dapat menyelesaikan semua tugas di  sekolah: dan (v) mendorong guru untuk memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi dengan berbagai perubahan dalam pendidikan. Kata kunci: komitment profesional, Rasch Model, komitmen guru

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang otoritas karismatik TGH Syahri Ramadhan dalam membentuk budaya religius di pondok pesantren Darul Musthofa Nahdlatul Wathan Lombok Barat. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan: (1) observasi rangkaian kegiatan santri di pondok pesantren untuk mengamati budaya religius sehari-hari dan (2) wawancara mendalam kepada para asatidz, tokoh masyarakat dan ketua yayasan untuk menggali otoritas kepemimpinan karismatik TGH Syahri Ramadhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Pertama, sumber otoritas karismatik TGH Syahri Ramadhan adalah kewibawaan dan karomah yang lahir dari amalan wirid serta didukung dengan tradisi pendidikan Islam Nahdlatun Wathann (NW) yang memiliki jargon“sami’na wa atho’na” artinya “kami mendengar dan kami taat” yang tertanam pada seluruh warga pondok pesantren. Kedua, strategi kepemimpinan karismatik TGH Syahri Ramadhan dalam membetuk budaya religius melalui: (1) penanaman ideologi Ahlusunnah Waljamaah (Aswaja) bermazab Imam asy-Syafi’I, (2) pembiasaan budaya religius seperti: (a) kegiatan rutin harian, (b) mewajibkan seluruh kegiatan keagamaan, (c) menciptakan lingkungan religius, (d) melibatkan seluruh warga sekolah. (3) tatanan simbol dalam bentuk atribut dan aktivifitas seni. Kata kunci: Otoritas Kepemimpinan, Karismatik, Tuan Guru, Budaya religius.

Abstract

AbstracThis research shows several activities carried out in the home, working from home and studying from home. Learning from home is called online (learning with online sites). The design and application of long-distance learning literacy with the topic of Corona Virus 2019 Covid-19 aims to avoid this pandemic which is currently spreading completely and is very deadly. With this pandemic, it has not made the world of education lack sense in developing learning in the world of education at the RA, SD, SMP, SMA and Higher Education levels as well as Ponpes. Especially for students / learners who are still using via online as an intermediary for connecting their knowledge, while still minimizing the obstacles that occur during the online period. Therefore this discussion will be interesting. (1) the obstacles faced by students / learners, (2) the efforts made by the teachers / teachers / lecturers / educators, (3) the solutions made by the students / students and the teachers / teachers / lecturers / educators. This research uses a case study method and the research approach uses a qualitative case study method which is used to obtain information on the online learning process at the level of students who are still active in the world of higher education and Islamic boarding schools. The aim of the research is to find out to what extent, since the existence of Covid-19, all economies in the first world have collapsed as well as the world of education, including universities and boarding schools. The online school system will be implemented starting in the month of 2020. Not only in Indonesia but throughout the world. Abstract

Organizational culture has a very important role in improving the quality of the organization. If the role of culture can function properly, it can be expected that organizational performance will increase. The purpose of this research article was to understand and describe the role of the principal in the process of forming organizational culture in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Malang. This research uses a qualitative approach through a case study design using a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by: in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The informant's sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out by means of: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, checking the validity of the data is carried out using the following criteria: credibility, dependability, and confirmability. The results showed that: First, the leader factor has an important role in the process of forming organizational culture. Second, the process of forming organizational culture occurs through several stages, namely: the adaptation stage, the pattern search stage, the system building stage, and the stage for forming organizational culture as self-identity. The results of this study are expected to be useful for the development of organizational culture theory and also the development of Islamic educational institutions, especially in the development of organizational culture.

Abstract

The curriculum is at the heart of education. During the Covid pandemic, the government through the ministry of education and culture is working on making the current learning process run well and smoothly even though learning is carried out remotely or online. The latest policy issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture is an emergency curriculum for education units in special conditions. The objectives of the research on the implementation of this emergency curriculum is to knowing the readiness of the school for implementing the emergency curriculum This research uses qualitative research. This research approach is a case study. This research was conducted at SMP PGRI Taropo. Participants in this study were the principal, vice principal in curriculum, and teachers. Data collection techniques using interviews. Data analysis techniques used the Miles Huberman model and were analyzed using the Atlas.ti software version 8. Based on the results of the analysis, the implementation of the emergency curriculum at SMP PGRI Taropo has four important things in its implementation, namely: (1) Teacher Competency Development; (2) Learning Change; (3) Technology Utilization; and (4) Evaluating Learning Outcome

Abstract

As part of inclusion education, Education for All (EfA) or Pendidikan untuk Semua (PuS) has six main programs, including the inclusion program of Early Childhood Education (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini or PAUD). This article is compiled based on a qualitative approach, which is a type of field research and presented descriptively. This article highlights the role of Shadow Teacher as one of the main keys to the success of inclusion education in PAUD Terpadu Inklusi Bina Insan Kreatif (BIK) in Tasikmalaya city. The findings of the article show that Shadow Teacher has a variety of relatively different roles and responsibilities than class teachers. But it plays a big role in helping the success of learning carried out by class teachers, especially related to Children with Special Needs (Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus or ABK). In undergoing its roles and responsibilities, Shadow Teacher applies various strategies to assist the development of ABK students, in the academic, non-academic and self-developed fields. Furthermore, the PAUD Terpadu Inklusi BIK institute has such a crucial policy related to improving the quality, qualifications and competency of Shadow Teacher that it can provide better inclusion education services for ABK students in particular, and for other stakeholders in general.
