The rail-based LRT of South Sumatera has been in operation since 2018 and is 23 kilometers long with thirteen stations. This LRT connects Jakabaring district and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II airport. Each station's area describes unique characteristics. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to comprehend the various typologies of South Sumatera's LRT station area. Three factors were used to categorize the stations: 1) Land use mix, 2) Density, and 3) Connectivity. And this method is qualitative approach, consisting descriptive approach. The data was gathered from Google Street Map and verified by a field study. This study divided the South Sumatera LRT Station into seven TOD typologies stations.

Nagari Pagaruyung is a nagari in Tanah Datar, West Sumatra which based on Tambo sources is the area that became the capital of the Pagaruyung Kingdom. The Pagaruyung Kingdom was a Hindu-Buddhist kingdom, then turned into an Islamic kingdom. Minangkabau civilization, including the Pagaruyung Kingdom, is not found in many written forms to reveal its history and cultural civilization. Unwritten heritage including places and buildings can be a part of revealing history and civilization in the past. Various physical relics that still exist today can illustrate how the civilization of the Pagaruyung Kingdom developed to create an identity. The identity that has been formed is also able to describe how the various relics form a sense of place in the historic area. The method used in this study is a qualitative method by obtaining data through observation, interviews, and secondary data studies. The result of the research is that the history of the kingdom has an interrelated relationship, especially in building a spatial narrative. The historical spatial narrative of Pagaruyung is described linearly and based on consideration of spatial and temporal sequences, a declamation strategy or a brief description of the site is also used as a site introduction

The nature humans as social beings need each other to survive and cause interactions in them. Social interactions can form specific communities or groups. In a community, people need space to move. Therefore, this study aims to determine community preferences regarding the choice of community gathering places to consider community space design criteria. Using exploratory qualitative methods with a grounded theory approach in this study is expected to produce data by selecting criteria for community places. Data analysis used four stages, namely open coding, axial coding, selective coding, and distribution analysis to determine the level of answers from participants. The results of the study found that in designing a place or community space, three design criteria could be used, including the concept of space, spatial planning, and the character and atmosphere of the space.

Sustainable development has become a significant issue nowadays. The passive cooling technique is used instead of the active cooling technique for less operation energy consumption. Previous research has identified urban heat island (UHI) phenomena in big cities because of climate change. Efforts have been made to reduce and mitigate this phenomenon, and the passive cooling technique is one of the efforts that count off. A comprehensive literature review has yet to highlight passive cooling techniques to overcome UHI. This paper will systematically review research on passive cooling techniques as UHI mitigation. The result indicates the pros and cons of various passive cooling techniques considering every previously identified factor that will help every stakeholder to reduce and mitigate UHI using passive cooling techniques.

As a new Edu-tourism in the middle of the campus environment, the Planetarium building has a strong attraction both from academics and from the general public. High activity in the area around the Planetarium needs special attention, one of which is pedestrians. The study focused on accessibility analysis by looking at its effect on the quality of the spatial configuration. The research was conducted using quantitative methods with a descriptive and simulation research framework. The simulation process is carried out using a space syntax approach with the DepthmapX software. The existing condition shows that several pedestrian sections around the building are not connected to each other. This results in the circulation not running optimally and can interfere with the comfort of pedestrians. Spatial engineering is carried out by connecting disconnected pedestrian sections with the concept of continuous footways and continuous crossing. Space engineering considers sustainability and mileage aspects to provide effective and efficient accessibility. This scenario produces a new pedestrian that is interconnected and has a high value of integration and intelligence. In general, this engineering model can at least provide a measurable picture of how to respond to dense human activities and movements, which cannot be achieved from field observations alone.

Ponorogo Station is a non-active station located in Ponorogo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. In the Ponorogo Regency Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2012 concerning the 2012-2032 Ponorogo Regency Regional Spatial Plan, the Ponorogo Regency Government is trying to revitalize Ponorogo Station. In revitalizing it is necessary to have an approach chosen to be implemented. Therefore, a comparison of the surface rehabilitation and deep rehabilitation approaches was carried out at the Ponorogo Station by looking at the issues and problems in the existing conditions. Since it was no longer active, Ponorogo Station has experienced a decrease in vitality, changes in function and damage due to 'self' and 'new creations' which make Ponorogo Station no longer intense. So, the right steps to respond to problems and optimize revitalization at the Ponorogo Station can be with a deep rehabilitation approach.

The Traditional Village of Jorong Padang Ranah and Tanah Bato Nagari Sijunjung still maintain 76 rumah gadang which have been designated as Cultural Conservation Areas. The gadang houses in this traditional village are made entirely of wood and are susceptible to weathering and damage to building elements. This study aims to analyze the condition of the damage to the rumah gadang building through the field observation method. The identification of damage to the rumah gadang building is one of the stages of activities that must be carried out in an overall restoration process. The method used is the field observation method through observing the condition of the elements of the rumah gadang building. Observations were made on the existing condition of damaged building elements, type of damage, level of damage and plans for its handling. Each damage condition is informed in detail accompanied by photos, pictures and required information. Management plans in the form of architectural restoration and structural repairs are also informed in detail along with photos, drawings and required information. The results of the identification will be used as a model of the damage identification document which is used as the basis for technical planning for the preservation of the rumah gadang in the future.

Children are individuals who will experience growth and development. Every child has the potential and talent in him if he gets learning both in terms of knowledge and creativity. In the city of Palembang, there are many homeless children, beggar children and underprivileged street children. This makes the current state of the covid-19 pandemic even more dangerous for children, because they are afraid that many children will be exposed to the covid-19 virus. Therefore, the existence of a children's social institution building can help street children to get a decent life by providing a sense of comfort with a recreational atmosphere and various self-skill facilities to be able to provide a more secure future. The design of children’s social homes will go through design methods with behavioral architecture. The architecture approach of behavior is driven by how activity or behavior of any child is subsequently incorporated into the design of the building, so the design of a child’s orphanage building has the character of every room that matches that of the child’s behavior. This design will also apply a lifecycle theme related to the life cycle that continues to change in growth. The design of the children's social home is expected to be a forum in helping children to get a prosperous life, work and achieve.

The facade is the most important part of a building, because the facade of the building is the first thing that is often seen and shows a style at that time and the identity of the home owner. The use of local architectural elements in several cities in Indonesia is widely used in public buildings, government buildings and even residential houses. The use of these elements can be seen from the shape of the roof, walls which of course have the meaning or philosophy of a local architectural element. The application of these local architectural elements is used in the appearance of the building as the identity of a region. For this reason, this study aims to determine the application of local architectural elements to the building, especially on Jalan Captain A. Rivai Palembang. This study uses a descriptive analysis method through an exploratory approach. Data were obtained by conducting field observations, literature studies and interviews. The use of these elements is widely used in government buildings. The elements that are often used are tanjak, Palembang songket and carvings typical of the local area.
