Abstract

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to a company's obligation to act ethically towards the environment and the communities in which it operates, which is manifested through the disclosure of information related to social and environmental activities. This research aims to examine the influence of profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), liquidity, assessed through the Current Ratio (CR), and leverage, indicated by the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), on CSR disclosure, with company size serving as a moderating variable. The study employs a quantitative research methodology, focusing on non-financial state-owned companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. A purposive sampling method was utilized to select a sample of seven companies for analysis. Data were collected through non-participant observation and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis and moderated regression analysis (MRA), facilitated by SPSS version 26.0. The findings reveal that both profitability and liquidity have a significant positive effect on CSR disclosure, while leverage does not demonstrate a significant impact. Additionally, company size is found to moderate the relationship between profitability and CSR disclosure, as well as the relationship between leverage and CSR disclosure; however, it does not moderate the effect of liquidity on CSR. These results underscore the importance of financial performance indicators in influencing CSR practices and highlight the role of company size in shaping these relationships.

Abstract

Corruption is one of the most important variables in a country's decline. The Indonesian state established the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK-Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi) to address this. One of its roles is prevention, so the KPK has an anti-corruption education program. Unfortunately, this program has not integrated religious values, even though Indonesia is a religious and predominantly Muslim society. This article examines anti-corruption education from an Islamic perspective. This study seeks to integrate anti-corruption education with an Islamic perspective. This study uses a thematic-analytical method whose primary source is the Quran, interpreted from various commentaries. The findings show that, in substance, the Qur'an has taught us not to commit corruption. Phrases found in the Qur'an whose meaning is commensurate with corruption are 'eating other people's property unlawfully' (akl amwal al-nas bi-al-batil), 'eating illegally' (akl al-suht), and bribing judges (al-idla' ila-al-hukkam). This study further shows that corruption falls into the category of unlawful taking away other people's rights, while bribery is one of the doors to this unjust act. Therefore, corruption is a grave sin that will have serious consequences hereafter. The findings of this study can further contribute to the development of anti-corruption education from an Islamic perspective.

Abstract

Globalization impacts the younger generation, especially students who do not know the history of their culture. This study aims to reconstruct the history of the pantun reciprocal tradition that lives in the Malay community of Aceh Tamiang and to analyze the relevance in history learning at the high school level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis has three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results show that the Tamiang Pantun reciprocal tradition has existed since the 16th century. Starting from scholars and clerics who created prose, poetry, and oral traditions such as pantun and popular poetry, there was a change during the colonial period due to cultural acculturation between Malay and Javanese cultures. Other changes occurred, such as pantun being delivered singly in the past and tended to be monologic. Now, people are developing the Pantun reciprocal tradition as a form of two-way interaction that is more communicative and interesting. The Tamiang Pantun reciprocal tradition is relevant in developing local culture-based history learning. The tradition of responding to pantun in history learning is relevant to phase E (grade X), with the main topic in this phase being the development of Islamic Kingdoms in Indonesia, which includes discussions on the process of Islamization, the role of local figures, and the social and cultural values that developed during that period.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Canva-based interactive e-book entitled “AKMULBAT” (Noble Morals with Friends) to improve the understanding of grade VI elementary school students about the importance of respecting differences of opinion in Islamic Religious Education. Differences of opinion in elementary schools are often a challenge, so educational efforts are needed that foster mutual respect and are in line with Islamic teachings. This research uses the Design and Development (D&D) method using the ADDIE research model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The AKMULBAT interactive e-book integrates interactive elements such as video analysis, question and answer games, and evaluation so that it becomes an attractive learning media for students. The development process includes identifying the learning outcomes of Merdeka Curriculum, plotting, and creating content using Canva, Capcut, Runway, Heyzine, and Wordwall. The pilot test at SDN Gudangkopi I on March 12, 2025, with 12 grade VI students, involved expert validation from media experts and material experts, along with student feedback through a likert scale, which showed positive results. The results showed increased student motivation and improved understanding of appreciating differences. The interactivity of the e-book effectively engages students, in line with findings on interactive learning. The novelty lies in the innovative integration of various technologies to provide an accessible, engaging and effective learning resource, which can be accessed through laptops and projectors. The media is expected to encourage students creativity, in line with the evolving times.

Abstract

Religion is a historical and cultural phenomenon that reflects an undeniable absolute belief. Similarly, in terms of its dissemination, within the Sundanese region there is a figure named Raden Haji Abdul Manaf who established unique rules, prohibitions, and traditions in this village. These rules have since become inherited beliefs upheld by the people of Mahmud Village. Today, the community still observes these regulations as stories or circulating myths, yet they continue to be respected. As a formal teaching, religion plays a significant role in shaping religiosity in every ritual performed. Therefore, this study aims to examine how local myths in Mahmud Village are understood by the community and how they contribute to the enhancement of religiosity. The method used is a cognitive anthropology approach with a descriptive qualitative type. This approach explores how individuals organize cultural knowledge, interpret symbols, and associate collective meanings with the myths that develop within their social environment. Consequently, this study finds that the myths that have developed in Mahmud Village are identified not only as carriers of cultural messages but also as containing deep dimensions of religiosity. The people of Village Mahmud are able to internalize these myths as a means of enhancing religiosity by interpreting each myth through Islamic teachings. In fact, Mahmud Village currently provides religious education to children from an early age and continues to preserve the tradition of visiting ancestral graves.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of santri participation in the tahfidz learning program on learning motivation and learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Rumah Tahfidz Zainal Muhibbin. The background of this study rests on the importance of integrating spiritual values in Islamic Education learning strategies that are not only cognitive, but also affective. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A sample of 60 students was purposively selected with the criteria of participating in the tahfidz program for at least one semester and having an odd semester PAI report card in the 2024/2025 school year. The instruments used include a Likert scale-based learning motivation questionnaire and PAI score documentation. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between participation in the tahfidz program and learning motivation (r = 0.648; p < 0.05), as well as between participation in tahfidz and PAI learning outcomes (r = 0.611; p < 0.05). Simple regression analysis showed that the tahfidz program contributed 42% to the variation in learning motivation and 37.3% to PAI academic achievement. This finding indicates that participation in tahfidz not only builds religious character, but also has a real impact on students' academic performance. This study confirms the importance of tahfidz program as an integrative pedagogical and spiritual approach in Islamic education learning. It is recommended that Islamic educational institutions develop a curriculum that makes tahfidz as part of strengthening the quality of value-based learning.

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on halal products has a very significant role in encouraging economic growth in rural areas. The existence of MSMEs not only creates jobs and increases community income, but also contributes to creating an economic system that is inclusive, sustainable, and based on sharia values. In this context, the concept of sustainable livelihoods is a relevant strategic approach to understand the contribution of halal products to sustainability in the economic, social and environmental dimensions. This study specifically highlights the potential and role of halal MSMEs developing in Mertapada Kulon Village, Cirebon Regency. This village has great potential in local economic development, but there is still a gap in research related to how halal MSMEs can have an impact on the sustainable livelihoods of local communities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the development strategy of halal product MSMEs and evaluate the extent of their impact on the achievement of Sustainable Livelihood indicators. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The results showed that the halal MSME development strategy has a positive impact on rural economic development. This is reflected in increased household income, improved community welfare, decreased levels of economic vulnerability, and the fulfillment of life needs in a more decent and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Cultural diversity in educational settings requires adaptive and inclusive curriculum strategies to ensure equitable learning opportunities for all students. This study aims to analyze the adaptation strategies of the Independent Curriculum implemented by a junior high school in Pendreh Village to address the cultural heterogeneity of its student population. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns and themes related to curriculum adaptation practices. The findings reveal that adaptation efforts were undertaken through three primary strategies: (1) systematic mapping of students’ cultural backgrounds, (2) differentiated instruction tailored to students' individual needs and characteristics, and (3) integration of local cultural values into school activities and learning processes. Despite several challenges, such as limited availability of culturally relevant learning resources and insufficient teacher training in culturally responsive pedagogy, collaborative efforts among schools, communities, and local stakeholders, coupled with the application of flexible teaching approaches, fostered an inclusive and contextually responsive learning environment. The study concludes that the success of curriculum adaptation in multicultural contexts relies heavily on culturally responsive planning and the professional development of teachers in managing socio-cultural dynamics within the classroom, particularly in remote and underserved areas. These insights contribute to the broader discourse on inclusive education and highlight the strategic importance of local culture in shaping equitable and effective learning experiences.

Abstract

The increasing demand from the education sector for Teacher Education Institutions to produce graduates with professional teaching competence must be taken seriously. This study aims to evaluate the extent of mastery of cooperative learning models among prospective teacher students at Faculty Of Teacher Training And Education  and Faculty Of Islamic Studies of Universitas Islam 45 Bekasi. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method through questionnaires and concept mastery tests. The study population comprised 284 students, with a sample of 135 selected respondents. Findings reveal that, on average, prospective teachers mastered approximately 4.64 cooperative learning models, equivalent to 4 to 5 models. No significant differences were found in model mastery among students of Primary Teacher Education, Islamic Education, and Geography Education programs. Parental occupation had no significant effect on the mastery level. However, significant correlations were found between the level of mastery and factors such as the choice of teaching practice location, reasons for selecting the practice school, and interest in participating in learning model clinics. These findings highlight the importance of individual experiences and intrinsic motivation in mastering cooperative learning models. This study contributes to the mapping of prospective teachers’ readiness and serves as a foundation for developing clinical-based training programs within teacher education curricula.
