The industrial revolution had brought negative impact on society in England. The first is economic inequality and the second is the moral damage of society. The bad impact is described by William Blake in his poem entitled London. This study aims to find the description through the meaning of denotation and connotation. The poem was written in the era of romance. In this period, literary works were dominated by elements such as imagination, freedom of expression, and idealism. The research method is descriptive qualitative. This study uses a semantic approach, especially the meaning of denotation and connotation as well as the theory of English literature and culture. Based on the results of data analysis, five words with denotative and connotative meanings are found. Those words are chartered, manacles, blackning church, harlots and blasts. The connotative meanings of these five words are used to describe the economic inequality and the moral damage of society as a result of the industrial revolution. Roads and rivers are controlled by factories, freedom of speech is shackled, God's voice is no longer heard, women experience moral decadence and people live terrible fear because of the high crime rate.

The present study aims to investigate young people's attitudes about foreign language learning in Northern Ireland, depending on diverse residential areas and household economic backgrounds. A cross-sectional design was used in this study to conduct descriptive research. The present study uses secondary data from the Access Research Knowledge (ARK) in Northern Ireland's Young Life and Time (YLT) survey, which has been performed yearly since 2003. The survey consists of 103 items that may be completed in two ways: online (15.5 percent) or on paper (84.5 percent). The emphasis of this study was on three variables: young people's home areas (urban and rural); household economic backgrounds; and their educational backgrounds (not very well-off, average, and very well-off); and the attitude to foreign language learning. The outcomes of this study revealed that disparities between urban and rural areas had a major impact on young people's views about foreign language programs. Compared to household prosperity, which did not give strong evidence of disparities in this study, the impact of this problem was considerably more prominent.

This research focuses on reading market trends for curriculum development conducted through library research. The development of automation technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), robots, and algorithms, has made the workforce undergo massive changes concerning workers and jobs. It is estimated that by 2030, 23 million jobs will be automated, 27 to 46 million new jobs will be created, and 10 million of these will be new types of work. The Ministry of Education and Culture of Indoensia has responded to the changes with the launch of the Kurikulum Kampus Merdeka (Freedom to learn curriculum), which aims to equip the graduates with industry-needed employability skills. In order to achieve this goal, higher educations need to know the job prospects and skills relevant to the workplace, so that the mismatch between what graduates learn in college and the skills demanded by the employers can be minimized.
