Abstract

This study entitled "Effectiveness of Vegetable Pesticides and Dosage Levels for Controlling Thirps parvispinus in Red Chili Plants". This research was carried out on community land jl.Tuar, Medan Amplas from February to completion. This research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with one factor studied, namely: Dosage factor (D) of vegetable pesticides consisting of 2 levels: D1: 75 ml/l water/polybag, D2: 150 ml/l water/polybag. Factors Types of vegetable pesticides (P) consist of 4 levels: P1: Garlic Liquid Extract, P2: Kenikir Flower Liquid Extract, P3: Lemongrass Liquid Extract, P4: Soursop Leaf Liquid Extract. The results showed that the use of botanical pesticides had a significant effect on the parameters of attack intensity in controlling T. parvispinus. The use of doses of botanical pesticides significantly affected the parameters of attack intensity in controlling T. parvispinus. The combination of botanical pesticides and the dose did not affect the harvest of chili plants. In the attack intensity parameter of observation 3, it is known that D1P2 with the highest percentage value of 8.82% and the lowest D2P1 treatment with a value of 6.92%. In harvest parameters, the highest mean of the first harvest was found in the D2P3 treatment of 5.43 kg and the D2P4 treatment of 4.91 kg. T. parvispinus usually live under the leaves and like dry climate conditions. Keywords: Vegetables Pesticides, Thrips parvispinus, Chili plants. INTISARIPenelitian ini berjudul “Efektivitas Pestisida Nabati dan Taraf Konsentrasi Untuk Mengendalikan Thirps parvispinus Pada Tanaman Cabai Merah”. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan masyarakat jl.Tuar, Medan Amplaspada bulan Februari sampai dengan selesai. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan satu faktor yang diteliti yaitu : Faktor Konsentrasi (D) pestisida nabatiterdiri dari 2 Taraf : D1 : 75 ml/l air/ polybag, D2 : 150 ml/l air/ polybag. Faktor Jenis pestisida nabati (P) terdiri dari 4 Taraf : P1 : Ekstrak Cair Bawang Putih, P2 : Ekstrak Cair Bunga Kenikir, P3 : Ekstrak Cair Serai, P4 : Ekstrak Cair Daun Sirsak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Penggunaan pestisida nabati berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter intensitas serangan dalam mengendalikan T. parvispinus. Penggunaan konsentrasi pestisida nabati berpengaruh nyataterhadap parameter intensitas serangan dalam mengendalikan T. parvispinus. Kombinasi pestisida nabati dan konsentrasitidak berpengaruh terhadap panen tanaman cabai. Pada parameter intensitas serangan pengamatan 3 diketahui bahwaD1P2 dengan nilai persentase tertinggi sebesar 8,82% dan perlakuan D2P1 terendah dengan nilai 6,92%. Pada parameterpanen, rataan tertinggi panen pertama terdapat pada perlakuan D2P3 sebesar 5,43 kg dan perlakuan D2P4 sebesar 4,91 kg. Hama T. parvispinus biasanya berhabitat dibawah daun dan menyukai kondisi iklim kering. Kata kunci : Pestisida Nabati, Thrips parvispinus, Tanaman Cabai Merah

Abstract

farmer satisfaction in obtaining services from their field extension workers. An agricultural extension worker must know the level of satisfaction of the extension target, namely farmers in their work area, in order to improve the quality and performance and success of their extension activities in the future. For farmers in Humboto Village, Uepai District, Konawe Regency, the presence of agricultural extension workers is highly expected, especially to help farmers solve the problems they face, but in reality, not all farmer problems can be resolved. Agricultural extension workers in Humboto Village, Uepai District, number 1 extension worker who also works in other villages because the extension workers from the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) are still very few, namely 8 people who have to work in 18 villages in Uepai District (BPP Uepai District, 2024). The lack of extension workers with a fairly large area of work can affect the quality of work (performance) of agricultural extension workers. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the level of farmer satisfaction with the performance of extension workers in Humboto Village, Uepai District. Uepai, Konawe Regency. The attributes used to measure the level of farmer satisfaction are 5 attributes with 20 items. Data analysis used a score based on a Likert scale with 5 categories, namely very satisfied, satisfied, quite satisfied, dissatisfied and very dissatisfied. Abstract

The average Indonesian farmer is still in the process of applying mechanization to adopt modern and environmentally friendly technology to assist them in agricultural activities. The number of agricultural tools and machinery before and after the harvest period continues to increase, allowing to facilitate farming activities in post-harvest activities and increase production yields. At this time, farmers in Tebing Tinggi sub-district have used two types of machines in post-harvest activities of paddy rice, including using combine Harvester machines and power Thresher machines. The purpose of this research is to analyze how much the comparison of the income of wet-rice farmers through the use of ALSINTAN (Agricultural Machine Tools) post-harvest combine Harvester and power Thresher in Tebing Tinggi sub-district. From the results of this study it was found that farmers who used combine Harvester machines earned an income of IDR 31,561,000 /ha/growing season, while farmers who used power Thresher machines earned an income of IDR 26,377,000 /ha/growing season. Can be concluded that, the income received by farmers using the combine Harvester machine is much more when compared to the income of farmers who use power Thresher machines on wet rice farming activities in Tebing Tinggi sub-district, Serdang Bedagai district, North Sumatra province, with a difference in income of IDR 5,184,000 /ha/growing season. Keywords : analysis, income, rice paddy farmers, power thresher, combine harvester

Abstract

The rapid growth of modern markets in Indonesia is an opportunity for farmers to expand the marketing of their farming businesses, including mango farmers. By marketing agricultural products in modern markets, farmers can increase their income, because the profits from selling mangoes in modern markets are greater than the profits from selling mangoes in traditional markets. However, in reality farmers still have difficulty penetrating the modern market. This phenomenon also occurs in mango farming in Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan Regencies. Based on this, this research aims to compare the marketing capacity of mangoes from Majalengka, Indramayu and Kuningan Regencies to modern markets. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a questionnaire as an instrument in obtaining primary data, as well as the use of the Kruskal-Wallis method as a data analysis tool in this research. The research results show that overall, Indramayu Regency shows characteristics of more prosperous farmers and better marketing capacity compared to Majalengka and Kuningan. Majalengka Regency is superior in yield per tree and timing of harvest, while Kuningan has the best mango quality but lower marketing capacity than the other two districts. It is hoped that this research can provide a clear picture of the effectiveness of the marketing strategies implemented and the challenges faced by each district to increase their marketing capacity.Key-words: marketing capacity, modern market, mango farmers, mango farming

Abstract

Since ancient times, women's involvement in maintaining the family's food needs has almost been inseparable, especially in the rice production process. This research aims to analyze the contribution of women in the agricultural sector in farming households in Aceh Province. Using quantitative descriptive methods and secondary data analysis from the Aceh Province BPS agricultural census, this research investigates the important role that women play in agriculture. The analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical methods to identify patterns of women's participation, distribution of labor based on gender, and the contribution of women in the rice farming sector of Aceh Province. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression models and classical assumption tests. In this research data there is autocorrelation, therefore the author carried out data transformation using the Cochrane-Orcutt method. The research results after data transformation showed that the contribution of female agricultural workers was lower than that of male agricultural workers with a value of 18 percent. Women are actively involved in various stages of farming activities, from planting to harvest. This research also found that there were different contribution patterns between female and male workers in rice farming.

Abstract

The number of UMKM in Indonesia is increasing and plays an important role in the country's economy. The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that meet the purchase of the Lupba product, which is a collective brand compiled by the university alumni community. This study used A kuantitative method with technically survey from 100 test respondents. The analysis of the data used is multiple linear stresses. The results suggest that there is a significant precursor to consumers external factors and internal factors to purchasing. Key-words: purchasing decisions. external factors. internalfFactors, UMKM  INTISARIJumlah UMKM di Indonesia terus meningkat dan memainkan peran penting perekonomian negara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang memengaruhi pembelian produk UMKM Lupba yang menjadi merek kolektif yang dihimpun oleh komunitas alumni universitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik survei dari 100 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi linear berganda. Abstract

Animal husbandry is an effort to cultivate livestock which is used to produce milk, meat and eggs. In animal husbandry, pest and disease control is required, so in animal husbandry we look for ways to ensure that livestock are free from disease outbreaks. The aim of this study is to find out how effective sanitation and biosecurity methods are used. is a literature study or literature study. The results of this paper show that sanitation is an action to kill bacteria, while biosecurity is all actions for the first defense in controlling an outbreak which is carried out by preventing all possibilities of transmission with infected livestock so that the chain of spread can be minimized. The three components of biosecurity measures are Isolation, traffic control, prusip sanitation, effective sanitation and biosecurity are preparation and prevention for early detection, identification of biological and chemical agents, bioterrorism response.

Abstract

This potato production can be personally profitable for farmers, with high demand farmers can have high profits by carrying out potato production and becoming a supplier of potato supplies. However, there is a decrease in harvested area in West Java Province, this indicates that there are problems in technical and agricultural input in potato farming in West Java Province. The aim of this research is to compare farmer characteristics and potato farming inputs between Bandung and Garut Regencies. The research method used is descriptive statistics using parametric statistical testing tools and crosstabs. The population in this study were potato farmers in Bandung and Garut Regencies with respondents respectively 382 Potato Farmers in Bandung Regency and 118 Potato Farmers in Garut Regency, with the selection of respondents using a two-stage stratified sampling technique. The results of the research show that the majority of potato farmers in Bandung have elementary school education, new experience, young age, high capital, medium land, seeds ≤0.5 kg, labor 1001 – 1500 hok, fertilizer ≤ 2 kg, pesticide <0.05 liters, and other costs <0.5 million. Meanwhile, in Garut the level of education is elementary school, experience, old age, moderate capital, land ≥ 2.0 ha, seeds > 1.5 kg. labor >1500 hok, fertilizer >6.0 kg, pesticide 0.05 – 0.1 liter, and other costs 1.0 – 1.99 million. Then, there are real differences in farmer characteristics and potato farming inputs between Bandung and Garut Regencies. Key-words: comparative study, farmer characteristics, farming inputs, potatoes.

Abstract

Shallot is a strategic horticultural crop that has many uses, so the demand is high. Fulfilling the needs for shallots is associated with the need for improvements or enhancements in technical terms of shallot cultivation. This research, which aims to study the effect of cutting tubers and the type of mulch on the growth and yield of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.), has been carried out in Ngemplak Village, Nalumsari District, Jepara Regency with an elevation of 50 meters above sea level from March to June. 2020. This study used a factorial experiment method on the basis of a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of 2 (two) factors as treatment with 3 (three) repetitions (blocks as repetitions). The first factor, cutting shallot bulbs (P), is divided into 3 levels, namely: without cutting (P0), cutting 1/3 part (P1) and cutting ¼ part (P2). The second factor, the type of mulch (M), was also divided into 3 levels, namely: Without mulch (M0), silver black plastic mulch (M1) and rice straw mulch (M2). The results of this study indicate that cutting tubers has a significant effect on the growth and yield of shallot plants, as indicated by the parameters of the number of leaves at the age of 2 to 6 weeks after planting (MST) and the weight of fresh tubers per hill. The type of mulch also significantly affected the growth and yield of shallot plants as indicated by the parameters of plant height at 6 WAP, number of leaves at 4 and 6 MST and fresh tuber weight per plot. Keywords : mulch, shallot, tubers INTISARIBawang merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura startegis yang memiliki banyak kegunaan sehingga permintaannya tinggi. Pemenuhan kebutuhan bawang merah dikaitkan dengan perlunya perbaikan atau peningkatan dalam hal teknis budidaya bawang merah. Penelitian ini yang bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemotongan umbi dan jenis mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.), telah dilaksanakan di Desa Ngemplak, Kecamatan Nalumsari, Kabupaten Jepara dengan ketinggian tempat 50 meter diatas permukaan laut sejak bulan Maret hingga Juni 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode percobaan faktorial dengan dasar Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) yang terdiri atas 2 (dua) faktor sebagai perlakuan dengan 3 (tiga) ulangan (blok sebagai ulangan). Faktor yang pertama, pemotongan umbi bawang merah (P), terbagi dalam 3 taraf, yakni:Tanpa pemotongan (P0), pemotongan 1/3 bagian (P1) dan pemotongan ¼ bagian (P2). Adapun faktor kedua, jenis mulsa (M), juga terbagi dalam 3 taraf, yakni: Tanpa mulsa (M0), mulsa plastik hitam perak (M1) dan mulsa jerami padi (M2). Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan, bahwa pemotongan umbi berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah, sebagaimana yang ditunjukkan oleh parameter jumlah daun pada umur 2 sampai 6 minggu setelah tanam (MST) dan bobot umbi segar per rumpun. Adapun jenis mulsa juga berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh parameter tinggi tanaman pada umur 6 MST, jumlah daun pada umur 4 dan 6 MST dan bobot umbi segar per petak Kata Kunci : bawang merah, mulsa, umbi

Abstract

Cultivation of purple eggplant plants in alluvial soils has several obstacles, one of which is the lack of macro and micro nutrients, so to overcome this it is necessary to give a combination of rice straw compost and rice husk biochar to increase the availability of nutrients N, P, K and the growth of purple eggplant plants on alluvial soils. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of rice straw compost on the availability of nutrients N, P, K and the growth of purple eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L.) in alluvial soil. This research took place from May - September 2023, conducted at the experimental land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 1 factor with 6 treatments, namely: P0 = no treatment; P1 = compost 244 g/polybag; P2 = biochar 217 g/polybag; P3 = compost 183 g/polybag + biochar 54 g/polybag; P4 = compost 122 g/polybag + biochar 108 g/polybag; P5 = compost 61 g/polybag + biochar 163 g/polybag. Each treatment was repeated 4 times so there were 24 polybags. The results showed that the best dose of the combination of rice straw compost and rice husk biochar was found in the 30 ton/ha treatment (P1) which could increase N-total by 73.23%, plant height by 28.18% and stem diameter by 13.75%Key words: alluvial soil; purple eggplant; rice straw compost; rice husk biocharINTISARI            Budidaya tanaman terung ungu di tanah aluvial memiliki beberapa kendala, satu diantaranya yaitu kekurangan unsur hara makro dan mikro, sehingga untuk mengatasi hal tersebut diperlukan pemberian kombinasi kompos jerami padi dan biochar sekam padi untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan hara NPK serta pertumbuhan tanaman terung ungu pada tanah aluvial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi kompos jerami padi terhadap ketersediaan hara NPK dan pertumbuhan tanaman terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.) di tanah aluvial. Penelitian ini berlangsung sejak Mei – September 2023, dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Kota Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri 1 faktor dengan 6 perlakuan, yaitu: P0 = tanpa perlakuan; P1 = kompos 244 g/polybag; P2 = biochar 217 g/polybag; P3 = kompos 183 g/polybag + biochar 54 g/polybag; P4 = kompos 122 g/polybag + biochar 108 g/polybag; P5 = kompos 61 g/polybag + biochar 163 g/polybag. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga terdapat 24 polybag. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dosis terbaik kombinasi kompos jerami padi dan biochar sekam padi, yaitu terdapat pada perlakuan 30 ton/ha (P1) dapat meningkatkan N-Total 73.23%, tinggi tanaman 28.18% dan diameter batang sebesar 13.75%.Kata kunci: biochar sekam padi; kompos jerami padi; tanah aluvial; terung ungu
