Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze internal and external problems consisting of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well as strategies for developing the sweet potato chips business in the Opang Madangu business group in Bidipraing Village, Lewa Tidahu District, East Sumba. This type of research uses descriptive and quantitative research methods. This research involved 12 informants. The accidental sampling method was used in sampling. The data analysis method used is SWOT analysis to determine the evaluation matrix of internal factors (IFE), external factors (EFE), internal external (IE), strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats (SWOT) and strategic plans, as well as a quantitative matrix (QSPM) . The research results show that the internal element which is the most important strength is the abundance of raw materials and the biggest weakness is the lack of knowledge and the external factor which is the biggest opportunity is cooperation from other industries or market partners. The biggest threat to the sweet potato chips business in the Opang Madangu business group is changes in consumer tastes. The main strategy for developing Opang Madangu commercial chips is product innovation so that consumers have more diverse choices. Keywords: SWOT analysis, development strategy, sweet potato chips business. INTISARI Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis permasalahan internal dan eksternal yang terdiri dari kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman serta strategi pengembangan usaha kripik ubi pada kelompok usaha Opang Madangu di Desa Bidipraing Kecamatan Lewa Tidahu Sumba Timur. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 12 informan. Metode accidental sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis SWOT untuk penentuan matriks evaluasi faktor internal (IFE), faktor eksternal (EFE), internal eksternal (IE), kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, ancaman (SWOT) dan rencana strategis, serta matriks kuantitatif (QSPM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur internal yang menjadi kekuatan terpenting adalah banyaknya bahan baku dan kelemahan terbesar adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan faktor eksternal yang menjadi peluang terbesar adalah kerjasama dari industri lain atau mitra pasar. Ancaman terbesar usaha kripik ubi pada kelompok usaha Opang Madangu adalah perubahan selera konsumen. Strategi utama pengembangan keripik komersial Opang Madangu adalah inovasi produk agar konsumen memiliki pilihan yang lebih beragam. Kata kunci: analisis SWOT, strategi pengembangan,  usaha kripik ubi.

Abstract

        Every company is required to achieve an optimal level of efficiency. Efficiency is ability to use resources (inputs) to achieve a certain amount of output. Supply chain performance efficiency can determine which input supply units are efficient or inefficient. PTPN IX Kebun Krumput Banyumas has a latex supply chain to produce export quality natural rubber. The purpose of this study was to determine and assess the efficiency of latex supply chain performance of each unit three afdeling in Krumput garden. The analytical method used is Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a linear program-based technique to measure the efficiency of a unit. The results show the Tumiyang afdeling is afdeling has the most efficient DMUs, namely 3, while the Krumput and Kubangkangkung afdeling have only one each. Overall, the efficiency performance of three afdeling supply chains is quite good as shown by the total average efficiency value of 0.81454. Keywords: Supply Chain Efficiency, Data Envelopment Analysis, Krumput Garden. INTISARI        Setiap perusahaan dituntut untuk mencapai tingkat efisiensi yang optimal. Efisiensi merupakan kemampuan dalam menggunakan sumber daya (input) untuk mencapai output dalam jumlah tertentu. Efisiensi kinerja rantai pasok dapat menentukan satuan unit pasokan input mana yang efisien atau inefisien. PTPN IX Kebun Krumput Banyumas memiliki rantai pasok lateks untuk melakukan produksi karet alam kualitas ekspor. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menilai efisiensi kinerja rantai pasok lateks setiap unit di ketiga afdeling yang ada kebun Krumput. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) yaitu teknik berbasis program linier untuk mengukur efisiensi suatu unit. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa afdeling Tumiyang menjadi afdeling yang memiliki paling banyak DMU efisien yaitu 3, sedangkan afdeling Krumput dan Kubangkangkung masing-masing hanya memiliki satu. Secara keseluruhan kinerja efisiensi rantai pasok ketiga afdeling sudah cukup baik yang ditunjukan dengan nilai efisiensi rata-rata total di angka 0,81454. Kata Kunci: Efisiensi Rantai Pasok, Data Envelopment Analysis, Kebun Krumput.

Abstract

The community empowerment strategy is a way to realize community capabilities and independence, especially from poverty and helplessness. The target group is 80 fishermen in Gampong Alue Ambang, Teunom District, Aceh Jaya Regency. This activity will be carried out from August to December 2022. The empowerment strategy carried out is through human resource development and productive business development. The research results show that knowledge and skills in developing human resources in Gampong Alue Ambang must continue to be carried out to form quality human resources based on knowledge and skills with all the potential that exists in them. Productive business development strategies can be implemented with 1). accessibility to fishing facilitie; 2). accessibility of the level of capital facilities; 3). accessibility to information sources; 4). business relations between fishermen and companies as well as market aspects. Another productive activity that can be carried out by fishermen is processing fish catches into salted fish.

Abstract

Honey guava (Syzygiym aqueum) is a fruit plant that grows well in areas with an altitude of 3 – 500 meters above sea level. This research was carried out on Jl. Madura, Pahlawan Village, North Binjai District, Binjai City, North Sumatra Province with a height of 28 meters above sea level. This research used a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 4 treatment levels, namely: P0 = 0 ml/liter of air, P1 = 2 ml/liter of air, P2 = 4 ml/liter of air, P3 = 6 ml/liter of air. The observation parameters for this research include plant height (cm), number of leaves (sheet), leaf area (cm2), number of branches (branch), branch length (cm) and stem diameter (mm).Keywords: Honey Guava, Grafting Result, Multifuncional Liquid FertilizerINTISARIJambu madu (Syzygiym aqueum) merupakan tanaman buah yang sangat baik tumbuh pada daerah dengan ketinggian 3 – 500 meter diatas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jl. Madura, Kelurahan Pahlawan, Kecamatan Binjai Utara, Kota Binjai, Provinsi Sumatera Utara dengan ketinggian 28 meter diatas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Non Faktorial dengan 4 taraf perlakuan, yakni: P0 = 0 ml/liter air/plot, P1 = 2 ml/liter air/plot, P2 = 4 ml/liter air/plot, P3 = 6 ml/liter air/plot. Parameter pengamatan penelitian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), luas daun (cm2), jumlah cabang (cabang), panjang cabang (cm) dan diameter batang (mm). Kata Kunci: Jambu Madu, Sambung pucuk, Pupuk Cair Multifungsi.

Abstract

Freeze-drying is widely used to dry plant-based foods, including fruits, vegetables, herbs, and nontraditional foods. Even though it requires a long processing time and is expensive, the freeze-drying method is preferred because it can produce high-quality food products. This is because the freeze-drying method can maintain nutritional quality compared to other dehydration methods, especially if operated under vacuum conditions. Freeze-drying conditions will affect various food ingredients' nutritional properties and antioxidant activity. However, inappropriate selection of process parameters can cause undesirable changes in the product, such as shrinkage, colour changes, and damaged structure. This review manuscript aims to characterize the freeze-drying of plant-based foods and explain the influence of processing conditions on selected physical properties of different food products.

Abstract

Presto Pak Nur Cassava Criping is one of the industries that processes cassava into criping. The amount of cassava criping production at Pak Nur Singkong Criping has decreased in the Covid 19 pandemic era until now. So it is necessary to carry out a consumer satisfaction analysis to determine the level of consumer satisfaction with cassava criping. The purpose of this research is to analyze product importance, level of consumer satisfaction, and attribute position based on the level of consumer interest and producer performance. The method used in this research is descriptive, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis. The attributes used in this research are color, aroma, taste, packaging, labels, texture, social media, direct channels, indirect channels, pricing and discounts. The results of analyzing the level of consumer satisfaction using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method obtained a score of 72.64%, which shows satisfaction. The attributes that are considered important and must be maintained are taste, packaging, texture, color and aroma. In quadrant II (maintain performance) there are attributes: taste, packaging, texture, color and aroma; while in quadrant III (low priority) there are attributes: labels, social media, direct channels, indirect channels, pricing and discounts.Keywords: Criping Singkong Presto Pak Nur, CSI, IPA, CassavaINTISARICriping Singkong Presto Pak Nur merupakan salah satu industri yang mengolah singkong menjadi criping. Jumlah produksi criping singkong di Criping Singkong Pak Nur mengalami penurunan di era pandemic Covid 19 hingga sekarang. Sehingga perlu dilakukan sebuah analisis kepuasan konsumen untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan konsumen terhadap criping singkong. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kepentingan produk, tingkat kepuasan konsumen, dan posisi atribut berdasarkan tingkat kepentingan konsumen dan kinerja produsen. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, analisis Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) dan analisis Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Atribut yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah warna, aroma, rasa, kemasan, label, tekstur, media sosial, saluran langsung, saluran tidak langsung, penetapan harga dan potongan harga. Hasil analisis tingkat kepuasan konsumen dengan metode Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) diperoleh skor sebesar 72,64% yang menunjukan puas. Atribut yang dinilai penting dan harus dipertahankan adalah rasa, kemasan, tekstur, warna, dan aroma. Pada kuadran II (pertahankan prestasi) terdapat atribut: rasa, kemasan, tekstur, warna, dan aroma; sedangkan pada kuadran III (prioritas rendah) ada atribut: label, media sosial, saluran langsung, saluran tidak langsung, penetapan harga, dan potongan hargaKata Kunci: Criping singkong Presto Pak Nur, CSI, IPA, Singkong.

Abstract

Oil palm plants are commodities that play an important role in improving the national economy, especially increasing employment opportunities and increasing state income. This research aims to microscopically isolate fungi from palm oil waste compost. This research method is used descriptively using quantitative methods. Research has been carried out by taking samples of palm waste fertilizer, isolation, purification and microscopic observations. The fungal isolation medium used was Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). Based on the results of fungal isolation from empty oil palm bunches (TKKS), 1 fungal isolate was obtained which had a round shape, had septa and had hyphae whose cells were separated by partitions called septa and were branched. The conodiophores are white, appear straight and branched, characteristic of the purple hyphae with white spots and white spores. Key words: empty palm oil bunches; isolation; fungi

Abstract

Kailan mustard greens (Brassica oleraceae L.) is a horticultural plant that can be used as a family food source. This research aims to determine the effect of providing coconut dregs compost and NPK fertilizer on the growth of kailan mustard greens. The research was carried out in Ujung Bandar, Rantau Selatan, Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Factorial Design with the first factor being coconut dregs compost consisting of 4 levels, namely A0: control, A1: 200 g/plant, A2: 400 g/plant, A3: 600 g/plant, and the second factor was NPK which consists of 4 levels, namely N0: control, N1: 5g/plant, N2: 10 g/plant, N3: 15 g/plant. The results of the research showed that there was an interaction effect of providing coconut dregs compost and NPK on plant height, number of leaves and leaf area of kailan mustard greens. The combined dose of 600 g of coconut dregs with 15 g of NPK produced the best growth in plant height, number of leaves and leaf area of kailan mustard greens. Key words : coconut dregs;compost; fertilizer; kailan. INTISARISawi kailan (Brassica oleraceae L.) adalah tanaman hortikultura yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pangan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos ampas kelapa dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sawi kailan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Ujung Bandar, Rantau Selatan, Labuhanbatu, Sumatera Utara. Percobaan disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial dengan faktor pertama adalah kompos ampas kelapa yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu A0: kontrol, A1: 200 g/tanaman, A2: 400 g/tanaman, A3: 600 g/tanaman, dan faktor kedua NPK yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu N0: kontrol, N1: 5g/tanaman, N2: 10 g/tanaman, N3: 15 g/tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya interaksi pengaruh pemberian kompos ampas kelapa dan NPK terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan luas daun tanaman sawi kailan. Kombinasi dosis 600 g ampas kelapa dengan 15 g NPK menghasilkan pertumbuhan terbaik  terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan luas daun tanaman sawi kailan. Kata kunci : ampas kelapa, kailan, kompos, pupuk.

Abstract

Peatlands have the potential to serve as productive agricultural land but possess low soil quality, necessitating innovative technologies to enhance soil quality and crop productivity. The improvement of peat soil quality can be achieved by utilizing ameliorants such as Red Mud and cattle manure. This study aims to investigate the role of Red Mud and cattle manure on the availability of macronutrients and the growth of hybrid corn plants in peat soil. The research was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with treatments of Red Mud and cattle manure. The first factor was Red Mud treatment at four dosage levels: without Red Mud (L0), 7 tons/ha (L1), 14 tons/ha (L2), and 21 tons/ha (L3). The second factor was cattle manure with four dosage levels: without cattle manure (P0), 50 tons/ha (P1), 100 tons/ha (P2), and 150 tons/ha (P3). The experiment was repeated three times, resulting in 48 experimental units. The results showed that the interaction between Red Mud and cattle manure significantly affected the parameters of exchangeable sodium availability and stem diameter. The single treatment of Red Mud had a significant effect on the parameters of pH, exchangeable potassium (K-dd), exchangeable sodium (Na-dd), cation exchange capacity (CEC), and plant height, with the best dosage being 21 tons/ha of Red Mud. The single treatment of cattle manure had a significant effect on the parameters of total nitrogen (N-total), available phosphorus (P-available), exchangeable potassium (K-dd), exchangeable sodium (Na-dd), and plant height, with the best dosage being 150 tons/ha of cattle manure. Keyword : amandement, peat soil, produktivity, quality

Abstract

Cattle farming businesses need to be developed to support the food security program launched by the Indonesian government. North East Timor Regency (TTU) This research aims to design several strategies for developing cattle farming in TTU Regency. Data collection was carried out by interviews with seven respondents and observations. Secondary data was collected from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Livestock Service, as well as documentation as supporting data. The results of this research are that the Head of the Livestock Service is an actor who plays a very important role in the sustainability of people's cattle farming. Internal factors obtained a total score of 3.25 and external factors obtained a total score of 2.70. Cattle farming in TTU Regency is in quadrant four, which means its position is growing and developing. The priority strategy for developing cattle farming is the integration strategy with the first highest choice, namely integration strategy 2, adding UPTD and cooperatives at every point in the potential area, the second highest strategy, namely integration strategy 4, providing periodic cattle cultivation technology training and the third highest strategy, namely integration strategy 1, providing efforts village level assistance officers.
