Abstract

The development of tidal land for agriculture faces various challenges in order to provide high productivity. One of the plant cultivation techniques developed in tidal areas is water saturated cultivation. This research aims to determine the growth and yield of flowering cabbage in acid sulphate tidal fields using a water-saturated cultivation system applied with various amelioran compositions. This research was carried out in Kalimas village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency for 8 months (April – October). The research design that will be used is a field experiment with a split plot design with 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The main plot is the Flower Cabbage variety (K) which consists of 2 varieties: k1 = Larissa F1 and k2 = Snow White F1. As a subplot is the amelioran composition (A) which consists of chicken manure (pka), goat manure (pkk), biological fertilizer (ph) and dolomite lime (kd) with 8 compositions, namely: a1 = pka, a2 = pkk, a3 = pka + ph a4 = pkk + ph, a5 = pka + kd, a6 = pkk + kd, a7 = pka + ph + kd, and a8 = pkk + ph + kd. The results of the research show that the amelioran composition has the same effect, while the variety and depth of the water table have a different effect on the growth of flowering cabbage plants on acid sulfate tidal land with a water-saturated cultivation system. The Larissa variety provides better growth than the Snowhite variety.

Abstract

The aim of this activity for the community was to provide training on how to make PSB Fertilizer or Photo Synthetic Bacteria, known as liquid organic fertilizer which helped the photosynthetic process in plants. This activity was attended by service partners, namely the GAPOKTAN in Jarak Kulon Village, totaling 24 people.  PSB making training activities were carried out in Jarak Kulon Village, Jogoroto District, Jombang Regency. The implementation methods used included demonstration methods, namely practicing how to make PSBs, discussion and question and answer methods. Based on the activities that had been carried out, we as the KKM group hope that training participants had an understanding of how to make PSB fertilizer and understood how to use PSB for plants, livestock and fish. Apart from having a lot of benefits, PSB fertilizer is also easy to make and cheap, but you can get a lot of results.

Abstract

Mungbean plants (Vigna radiata L.) are reported to be able to form a symbiotic relationship with Rhizobium bacteria and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) to increase grain yield. This research aims to determine the effect of planting distance and application of mycorrhiza biofertilizer on growth and yield of mungbean planted a paddy field following rice crop. The experiment was carried out at the Unram Farming, Narmada and the Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram in May-September 2023. The experiment was arranged based on a factorial Randomized Block Design with six replications (blocks) and two treatment factors, namely plant spacing (J1= 35x20 cm; J2 = 25 x20 cm) and application of mycorrhiza biofertilizer (M0= without; M1= with mycorrhiza). The experimental results showed that the application of mycorrhiza biofertilizer significantly increased plant height, number of leaves, number of productive branches, dry stover weight, weight of filled pods, number of filled pods, number of grains, grain yield per clump, number of root nodules, percentage of AMF colonization on the roots, and number of spores. In contrast, planting distances only affected the number of productive branches, dry stover weight, weight of filled pods, number of filled pods, number of grains, grain yield per clump, weight of 100 seeds, number of root nodules, and the percentage of AMF colonization on the roots, which was higher at planting distance of 25 x 20 cm (J2). However, the interaction between the treatment factors was significant only on number of spores, with the highest number in the M1J2 treatment and the lowest in the M0J1 treatment.

Abstract

Indonesia's peatlands have the potential to be utilized for the provision of food. the purpose of this paper is to determine the development and mapping of article publications based on research topics on peatland identification. By using bibliometric analysis. The writing of this paper is descriptive qualitative using the Literature Review (LR) method. The purpose of the literature review was to search journals or literature to find the results of previous research on peatlands. Bibliographic searches were conducted using Publish or Perish (PoP) with the keyword peatland from 2010 to 2022. To map the bibliography, Vosviewer software was used. The search for articles obtained from PoP was done manually using the Google search engine. To complement the references, a literature search was also conducted through Google Scholar with the keyword Peatlands Agriculture. The bibliometric analysis in this research shows the study of the evolutionary process on the research topic with the identification of peatlands from 2010 - 2023. Vosviewer is an important programming to visualize and analyze network visualization in bibliometric analysis mapping. About 250 articles obtained from the Google Scholar database show that there is a use of the term peatland and can be a future research topic.

Abstract

Orchid plants have distinctive aesthetic characteristics as room decoration, because of their beauty and fragrant aroma. From an economic perspective, orchid plants play a role in building the community's economy because they can open up opportunities and provide income for households in Sleman Regency. The research objectives were to determine (1) the acceptance of the Dendrobium Orchid farming business; (2) factors that influence the production of Dendrobium Orchid farming in Sleman Regency. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive analysis method. The research location was determined purposively. Respondents were determined using the snowball sampling method with 30 respondents. Data were analyzed using (1) acceptance analysis and (2) multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that (1) income from farming is IDR 49,260,594/farming/year or greater than the total production costs, namely IDR 22,204,237/farming/year; (2) land area (X1) and fertilizer (X3) are factors that influence the production of Dendrobium Orchid farming in Sleman Regency.

Abstract

In Cireundeu Traditional Village, cassava is a staple food, but its production has been declining every year. However, the unique characteristics of cassava as a staple food and the Sundanese culture in Cireundeu Customary Village make it an attractive destination for tourists, whose numbers increase annually. This has led to to increase cassava production. This research analyzes the income and contribution of cassava farming. The research method used a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were analyzed using mathematical analysis. The results show that farmers produce an average of 5.312,5 kg/ha/year of cassava, with cash income amounting to IDR 7.604.816,78/ha/year and a R/C ratio of 4,88. Based on net income calculations, cassava farming shows a negative value (incurs losses) of IDR 15.143.855,22/ha/year. However, from a social perspective, cassava farming is closely related to the preservation of Sundanese culture and beliefs, as well as serving as a recreational site (Ekoeduwisata Cireundeu Traditional Village).

Abstract

Cultivating plants vertically (wall garden) can overcome the reduced availability of land, plants are planted on vertical panels or specially designed wall structures. This research aims to determine the growth, yield and quality of wall garden mint leaves grown using various mixtures of coconut fiber, husk charcoal and soil. The experiment was designed in a Complete Randomized Block Design with six treatments: T (soil), S (husk charcoal), K (coconut charcoal 1: soil 1), K1S2T1 (coconut fiber 1: charcoal husk 2: soil 1), K1S1T2 (coconut fiber 1: charcoal husk 1: soil 2). The composition of the planting media composition of coconut fiber, husk charcoal and soil in the wall garden system has a real influence on the growth of Mint Plants. Abstract

This research was conducted in Kecapi Village, Tahunan Sub-district, Jepara Regency in December 2022 – March 2023. The objective of the research is to find out income, farming feasibility, and the effect of production facility costs on the income of Inpari 42 variety rice farming. The data collection method was carried out by interview guided by questionnaire to 43 farmers. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively. The results of the research indicate that: (1) The average income of the Inpari 42 variety rice farming is IDR 12,202,612/ha/planting season, with R/C Ratio of 2.18 (≥ 1), BEP (Q) = 2,467.62 kg (real 5,100 kg), BEP (IDR) = IDR 2,167,55 (real IDR 4,500) and ROI = 109.75 %; (2) There is a very real effect: production facility costs for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, workers and tractor on income, with the regression equation Y= -570584.714 – 23.669 X1**+ 12.782 X2** – 6.273 X3ns + 0.374 X4ns + 5.458 X5**. (P<1%, R2ajst= 0,944). Conclusion: Inpari 42 variety rice farming in Kecapi Village, Tahunan Sub-district, Jepara Regency is profitable, financially feasible, and simultaneously the costs of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, workers and tractor have a very significant effect on the income of Inpari 42 rice farming, however partially only the costs of seeds, fertilizers and tractor that have a significant effect on the income of the Inpari 42 variety rice farming. Keywords: analysis, farming, Inpari 42 rice variety. INTISARIPenelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Kecapi Kecamatan Tahunan Kabupaten Jepara pada bulan Desember 2022 – Maret 2023. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pendapatan, kelayakan usahatani, serta pengaruh biaya sarana produksi terhadap pendapatan usaha tani padi varietas Inpari 42. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara yang dipandu kuesioner kepada petani sejumlah 43 orang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriftif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Pendapatan usahatani padi varietas inpari 42  rata-rata sebesar Rp. 12.202.612/ha/musim tanam, dengan R/C Ratio sebesar 2,18 (≥ 1) , BEP (Q) = 2.467,62 kg (riil 5.100 kg), BEP (Rp) = Rp. 2.167,55 (riil Rp. 4.500) dan ROI = 109,75 %; (2) Ada pengaruh yang sangat nyata : biaya sarana produksi benih, pupuk, pestisida, tenaga kerja dan traktor terhadap pendapatan, dengan  persamaan regresi Y= -570584.714 – 23.669 X1**+ 12.782 X2** – 6.273 X3ns + 0.374 X4ns + 5.458 X5**. (P<1%, R2ajst= 0,944). Kesimpulan : Usahatani padi varietas Inpari 42 di Desa Kecapi Kecamatan Tahunan Kabupaten Jepara menguntungkan, layak diusahakan secara finansial, dan secara simultan biaya benih, pupuk, pestisida, tenaga kerja dan traktor berpengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap pendapatan usahatani padi varietas Inpari 42, namun secara parsial hanya biaya benih, pupuk dan traktor yang berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pendapatan usaha tani padi varietas Inpari 42. Kata kunci : analisis, padi varietas Inpari 42, usahatani

Abstract

The large chili plant (Capsicum annum L.) is one type of important horticultural plant that is cultivated commercially. It has quite complete nutritional content and also has high economic value. This research was carried out for 6 months, in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanjungpura University, Kota. Pontianak, West Kalimantan Province starting from preparing the planting media until the plants reach the maximum generative phase. Presentation of analytical data was obtained from the Chemistry Laboratory, Physics Laboratory, Tanjung Pura University. This research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method consisting of 2 factors, namely tankos biochar and cow manure. 3 levels of treatment. Each factor was repeated 3 times and in 3 pots without treatment, so that 30 polybags were obtained. Observation variables in this research included dry weight (g), N uptake (mg), P uptake (mg), K uptake ( mg), Fruit Weight (g), Fertilization Efficiency, The results of the research show that the real influence is Plant Dry Weight 17.306%, and fruit weight 798.64%, N, P, K uptake efficiency, the highest uptake value is K B3P3 31 .46%. Keywords : big chili, alluvial, biochar, NPK uptake, efficiency

Abstract

Rice is the main food commodity in Indonesia. The level of rice consumption in Indonesia reached 35.3 million tonnes. Based on these facts, rice production in Indonesia must be able to meet domestic consumption needs. However, now that Indonesia is experiencing a trend of decreasing rice harvested area, West Java, which is one of the provinces with the largest rice production in Indonesia, has not escaped the trend of decreasing rice harvested area. So it is necessary to increase rice productivity in this province. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine the influence of the characteristics of farmers and their farming on rice productivity in West Java. This research uses quantitative methods with regression analysis methods as a data analysis tool. The number of respondents in this study was 281 rice farmers. This research shows that the majority of farmers in West Java are men aged 40-60 years with elementary school education and long farming experience. The majority of rice farmers in West Java incur seed costs of around IDR 100-200 thousand per hectare per season, with land rental costs under IDR 10 million per hectare per season, medicine costs range from IDR 1-5 million per hectare per season for the majority of farmers, labor costs are less than IDR 5 million per season. The results of the regression analysis reveal that partially the cost of fertilizer and tractor rental significantly affects rice productivity. Simultaneously, the variable factors in this research show a significant influence on rice productivity in West Java. Furthermore, the regression model formed can be used to predict rice productivity in West Java. Key-words: farmer characteristics; rice farming; linear regression; rice productivity;
