Abstract

This research aims to analyze the amount of income and feasibility of lowland rice farming. The research was conducted in Umalulu District, East Sumba Regency, from January 2024 to March 2024. The number of samples in this study was 92 farmers, and the sampling technique was carried out using the Proportional Sampling method (balanced sample). To find out the amount of farmers' income, an analysis of business income is carried out, and to find out the level of feasibility of farming, an R/C Ratio analysis is carried out. The results of the income analysis explain that the average income of lowland rice farming in Umalulu District during one planting season is 33,837,268/ha. The results of the feasibility analysis for lowland rice farming in Umalulu District are 7.36, which means that for every IDR 1 spent, farmers will receive a revenue of IDR 7. This value is greater than 1, so that lowland rice farming in Umalulu District is declared feasible.

Abstract

Research regarding the use of liquid organic fertilizer from tofu waste has been carried out previously, both hydroponically and conventionally on several types of plants. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine the response of Kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. acephala) to the frequency and concentration of giving liquid organic fertilizer from tofu waste hydroponically. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 2 factors and was repeated four times. The first factor is the frequency of administration 1x (7 dap), 2x (7 & 21 dap), 3x (7,21 and 30 dap). The second factor is concentrations of 25%, 50% and 75%. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, root length, fresh weight and dry weight of the plant. The results obtained from this panel were that the frequency and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of tofu liquid waste had an effect on all observation parameters, namely plant height, number of leaves, root length, fresh weight and dry weight of Kale plants. The treatment that gives better results is the frequency of administration 3 times with a concentration of 50%.

Abstract

Broccoli (Brassica oleracea, L) is one of the vegetable crops that has the potential to be cultivated in West Kalimantan. This study aims to determine the best interaction of household waste POC and biostimulants on the growth and yield of broccoli on red yellow soil. The research was conducted at Reformasi, Gg. Mathematics, block F, Southeast Pontianak District during August - November 2023. The study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of two treatment factors. The first factor is the concentration of household waste Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) consisting of 3 levels of treatment p1 = 125 ml/l, p2 = 175 ml/l, p3 = 225 ml/l while the second factor is the concentration of biostimulant (B) consisting of 3 levels of treatment  b1 = 3 ml/l, b2 = 5 ml/l, b3= 7 ml/l. Each treatment was repeated 3 times with each replicate consisting of 4 sample plants. The variables observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, plant dry weight, leaf area, flowering age, crop fresh weight and crop diameter. The results showed that the application of household waste LOF with a concentration of 175 ml/l was an effective concentration on the growth variables of broccoli plants while the application of biostimulant with a concentration of 3 ml/l was an effective concentration on the growth and yield variables of broccoli plants in red yellow podzolic soil.

Abstract

Hybrid corn (Zea mays.) is the main food commodity cultivated after rice. The use of alluvial soil for planting hybrid corn concerns the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, because the soil structure is poor, it is massive, low pH, minimal nutrients and C-Organic is soil that has just undergone development and has a high ground water level. The research aims to determine the effect of a combination of red mud and chicken manure on the availability of N, P, K nutrients and the growth of corn plants in Alluvial Soil. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 9 treatments, namely, A1(100 g red mud + 1 kg chicken manure), A2(100 g red mud + 2 kg chicken manure), A3(100 g red mud + 3 kg chicken manure), A4(200 g red mud + 1 kg chicken manure), A5(200 g red mud + 2 kg chicken manure), A6(200 g red mud + 3 kg chicken manure), A7(300 g red mud + 1 kg chicken manure), A8(300 g red mud + 2 kg chicken manure), A9(300 g red mud + 3 kg chicken manure). The results of this study showed that treatment, A6 (200 g red mud + 3 kg chicken manure) could increase soil pH, organic carbon, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, and exchangeable potassium, plant height and stem diameter by 25.88% - 112, 78%.

Abstract

spice vegetable and has long been intensively cultivated. Shallot productivity in Riau Province is relatively low due to low soil fertility. Efforts to increase shallot productivity can be done through fertilization, one of which is by applying a combination of cow manure and NPK. This research aims to determine the interaction of giving cow manure and NPK fertilizer and the influence of each factor on the growth and production of shallot from seed. The research was carried out in thr experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University experimentally according to a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 2 factors. Factor I is cow manure with 3 levels: S0= 0 t.ha-1, S1= 7.5 t.ha-1, S3= 15 t.ha-1, and Factor II was NPK fertilizer with 3 levels: N1= 100 kg.ha-1, N2= 200 kg.ha-1, N3= 300 kg.ha-1. Thel data obtainedl were analyzed statisticallyl using analysisl of variancel and continuedl with Duncan's multiple  range testl at the 5% level using the SAS application. Parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, number of tubers, number of tubers per hill, fresh weight of tubers per plot and weight of tubers suitable forstorage per plot. The result showed that the combination of cow manure and NPK increased the growth and production of shallots in all parameters. The combination of 15 t.ha-1 cow manure with 200 kg.ha-1 NPK fertilizer showed the best growth and production compared  to other treatments.

Abstract

Melon merupakan jenis buah sekaligus tanaman yang termasuk dalam suku labu-labuan atau Cucurbitaceae. Melon merupakan komoditas dalam tanaman buah semusim, yang hidup menjalar atau merambat dengan menggunakan sulur. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui interaksi antara pupuk kotoran ayam dan KNO 3 yang diberikan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon pada tanah aluvial. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan yang terletak di Desa Rasau Jaya 3, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kalimantan Barat, selama empat bulan dari 1 September sampai 3 Desember 2023. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf (a 1 = 10 ton/ha, a 2 = 15 ton/ha, a 3 = 20 ton/ha) dan pupuk KNO 3 terdiri dari 3 taraf (k 1 = 100 kg/ha, k 2 = 200 kg/ha , k 3 = 300 kg/ha).Penelitian diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel batang pengamatan terdiri dari tinggi tanaman, diameter, jumlah daun, berat kering tanaman, bobot per buah, lingkar buah, kadar gula. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis KNO 3 dengan dosis 300 kg/ha dapat meningkatkan kadar gula buah melon yang ditanam di tanah aluvial. Pemberian pupuk kotoran ayam dengan dosis 10 ton/ha sudah dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman melon.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors affecting consumer demand for bulk cooking oil at Pasar Flamboyan in Pontianak City. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, data is analyzed through a multiple linear regression model. Data collected are sourced from both primary and secondary information, with the research location purposively chosen as Pasar Flamboyan in Pontianak City. Findings from this study indicate that the price of bulk cooking oil, the price of packaged cooking oil, income, and family size have a positive impact simultaneously on the desire to purchase bulk cooking oil at the research site. However, when analyzed partially, only the price of bulk cooking oil, the price of packaged cooking oil, and family size significantly influence the purchase decision, while income does not show an effect on the demand for bulk cooking oil at Pasar Flamboyan in Pontianak City.

Abstract

ABSTRAKFeline panleukopenia adalah penyakit yang sangat menular disebabkan oleh feline panleukopenia virus (FPV) yang merupakan anggota famili Parvoviridae dan termasuk prototipe parvovirus yang paling sering terjadi pada kucing. Feline panleukopenia virus adalah virus dengan DNA untai tunggal dari keluarga Parvoviridae dan genus Parvovirus yang simetri ikosahedral dan tidak berkembang serta FPV memerlulan DNA polymerase seluler untuk replikasi. Feline panleukopenia merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus ss-DNA dari famili Parvoviridae dan genus parvovirus dengan ukuran 18-22 nm. Virus ini dapat menyerang kucing, singa dan harimau serta paling umum ditemukan pada kucing yang berusia lebih muda atau kurang dari 12 bulan tetapi mungkin juga terjadi pada hewan yang belum divaksinasi. Feline panleukopenia yang teramati pada setiap hewan menunjukkan gejala klinis yang paling dominan adalah anoreksia,  lesu, depresi atau stress berat, muntah, dan diare yang mungkin mengandung darah serta lapisan rambut dengan cepat menjadi kusam dan kasar. Gejala klinis lainnya adalah limfopenia, neutropenia yang diikuti trombositopenia dan anemia, penekanan imun (karena terjadi neutropenia dan limfopenia), dan kucing yang terinfeksi sering mengeluarkan cairan puluren dari mata dan hidung. Untuk tindakan dan pengendalian Feline panleukopenia virus diantaranya penanganan dengan obat-obatan Anti Histamin, Antasida, Analgesik, Antipiretik, Antibiotik, Vitamin dan  Infus untuk menggantikan cairan tubuh, serta vaksinasi dan karantina.Kata Kunci : Feline panleukopenia virus, Kucing

Abstract

Corn (Zea mays L.) is an important commodity in West Kalimantan as a second food commodity after rice as a carbohydrate. Peat soils that are easily leached result in low availability of nutrients in the soil. This study aims to determine the effect of giving biochar from corn cobs and rice husk biochar on the availability of N, P, and K nutrients, as well as the growth of corn plants in peat soils. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 8 treatments, namely without corn cob biochar (J0), corn cob biochar 500 g/plot equivalent to 5 tons/ha (J1), corn cob biochar 1000 g/plot equivalent to 10 tons/ha (J2), corn cob biochar 1500 g/plot equivalent 15 tons/ha (J3), without rice husk biochar (S0), rice husk biochar 500 g/plot equivalent 5 tons/ha (S1), rice husk biochar 1000 g/plot equivalent to 10 tons/ha (S2), rice husk biochar 1500 g/equivalent plot 15 tons/ha (S3) with 4 replications and each plot consists of 8 plants, so that there are 32 experimental plots. The results show that the application of various doses of corncob biochar and rice husk biochar did not show a significant effect on soil pH, total soil N, soil available P, soil exchangeable K, plant height, and stem diameter.

Abstract

Kubis Bunga (Brassica oleracea L). merupakan salah satu komoditas tanaman hortikultura yang diminati masyarakat karena rasanya yang enak ketika dikonsumsi dan mengandung gizi yang baik bagi tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari dosis terbaik dari kombinasi amelioran pupuk kandang dan pupuk hayati serta menentukan kedalaman muka air mana yang sesuai untuk mendapatkan hasil terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kubis bunga dilahan pasang surut sulfat masam. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan Golden River Camp, Desa Kalimas Kecamatan Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat.Selama 3 bulan dari bulan September sampai November 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Split Blok yang terdiri dari 2 faktor dengan masing-masing 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama (main plot) adalah kedalaman muka air yang terdiri dari d1: Kedalaman muka air 20 cm, d2: Kedalaman muka air 30 cm. Faktor kedua (sub plot) adalah kombinasi pupuk kandang dan pupuk hayati yang terdiri dari h1= Pupuk kandang ayam tanpa pupuk hayati, h2= Pupuk kandang kambing tanpa pupuk hayati, h3= Pupuk kandang ayam + pupuk hayati dan h4= Pupuk kandang kambing + pupuk hayati. Variabel penelitian jumlah daun, berat segar, luas daun, berat kering, muncul bunga, berat krop, diameter krop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pemberian kombinasi amelioran pupuk kandang dan pupuk hayati tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kubis bunga yang ditanam dengan sistem budidaya jenuh air di lahan pasang surut sulfat masam. Kedalaman muka air 30 cm dari permukaan tanah dapat memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil luas daun, diameter krop dan berat segar krop yang terbaik terhadap tanaman kubis bunga pada sistem budidaya jenuh air dibandingkan pada kedalaman muka air 20 cm.
