Abstract

Kailan is a leaf vegetable that has high nutrition and economic value and can be cultivated using DFT hydroponic system to support its productivity. The aims of this study to determine the influence of the types of growing media and differences in varieties and the interaction of the two on the growth in DFT hydroponic system. The study used a factorial complete randomized design consisting of the first factor wass the variety, namely Winsa variety (V1) and Full White variety (V2), the second factor was the type of growing media, namely rockwool (M1), sponge (M2), coco fiber (M3), and coco chip (M4). The results showed there was no interaction between the variety and the growing medium but there was a significant result of variety on the height parameters. The growing medium showed a significant result on the number of leaves, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate, root shoot ratio, and wet weight of kailan plants parameters. Cocochip media and Winsa varieties provide the best growth of kailan plants in all observation parameters.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of single dose of inorganic fertilizer N,P,K and the type of biological fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays subsp. mays L.). The study was arranged in a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor was the dose of single inorganic fertilizer N,P,K, which consisted of 3 levels: D1: 100%, D2: 75%, and D3: 50%. The second factor is the type of biological fertilizer, which consisted of 3 levels: P1: Sinarbio, P2: Kayabio, and P3: Ecofert. The results showed that the application of a single inorganic fertilizer N,P,K at a dose of 75% had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of cobs planted, cob weight with cornhusk, cob weight without cornhusk, and yield potential. The type of biofertilizer Sinarbio has a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of cobs planted, number of cobs per plot, cob weight with cornhusk, cob weight without cornhusk, and yield potential. The use of a single dose of inorganic fertilizer N,P,K can be reduced to a dose of 75% of the recommendation for sweet corn plants with the application of biofertilizer Sinarbio.

Abstract

commodities and a source of foreign exchange earnings, but export volumes continue to fluctuate, resulting in an imbalance between demand and supply of coffee commodities on world markets. Therefore, it is necessary to know the factors that affect the volume fluctuation of Indonesian coffee exports in the international market. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influenced the volume of coffee exports on the international market in 1996–2020. Data collection uses time series data with a period of 25 years starting from 1996 to 2020. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression using SPSS software, with independent variables namely coffee production (X1), domestic coffee prices (X2), international coffee prices (X3), the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar (X4), land area (X5), and domestic consumption (X6), and the dependent variable namely the volume of coffee exports (Y). The results showed that the factors that had a positive effect on the volume of coffee exports in Indonesia were Indonesian coffee production and the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar, while domestic coffee prices, land area, and domestic consumption had a negative effect on the volume of coffee exports in Indonesia and had no effect on coffee exports Indonesia is the international coffee price. With a significance level (α) of 5%,INTISARI Komoditas kopi merupakan salah satu sumber penghasilan rakyat, kopi menjadi komoditas  andalan  ekspor  dan sumber pendapatan devisa negara, tetapi volume ekspor yang terus mengalami fluktuasi sehingga terjadi ketidakseimbangan antara permintaan dan persediaan komoditas kopi di pasar dunia. Oleh dari itu perlu diketahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi fluktuasi volume ekspor kopi Indonesia di pasar internasional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis apa saja faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi volume ekspor kopi di pasar internasional pada tahun 1996-2020. Pengumpulan data menggunakan data time series dengan periode 25 tahun dimulai dari tahun 1996 sampai tahun 2020. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Regresi Linear Berganda menggunakan software SPSS dengan variabel bebas yaitu produksi kopi (X1), harga kopi domestic (X2), harga kopi internasional (X3), nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dollar (X4), luas lahan (X5) dan konsmsi domestik (X6) dengan variabel terikat yaitu volume ekspor kopi (Y). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh positif terhadap volume ekspor kopi di Indonesia yaitu produksi kopi Indonesia dan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dollar, sedangkan harga kopi domestik, luas lahan dan konsumsi domestik berpengaruh negatif terhadap volume ekspor kopi di Indonesia dan yang tidak berpengaruh terhadap ekspor kopi Indonesia yaitu harga kopi internasional dengan taraf nyata (α) lima persen

Abstract

Plantation waste often causes environmental and social impacts around it. The waste from oil palm plantations is a potential commodity with economic value, and the results of the palm oil industry can still be utilized in the PKS waste industry. Palm oil solid and liquid waste has its own economic value in the scope of agribusiness. The purpose of this research is to find out how big the economic potential of palm oil waste at PT. West Aceh KTS. This research uses a descriptive approach, the research data is primary data. The data collection approach used by researchers is field surveys and interviews, the analysis carried out includes the production of palm oil waste produced. Based on the results of data analysis, the economic potential of OPEFB and shells at PT. West Aceh KTS with an average monthly production of 2,901,904.4 kg for OPEFB and 808,554.4 kg for shells. The economic potential of OPEFB waste at PT. KTS Rp. 120,000/ton and the economic potential of shell waste is Rp. 700,000/ton. The strategy for potential utilization of this waste is limited to its own use, for OPEFB it is used as fertilizer and shells only for boiler fuel needs, an agribusiness cycle from palm oil waste has not yet been formed at PT. West Aceh KTS. INTISARI Limbah hasil perkebunan sering kali menimbulkan dampak lingkungan dan sosial di sekitarnya. Limbah hasil perkebunan kelapa sawit ini adalah satu komoditas potensial bernilai ekonomi, dan hasil industri kelapa sawit, masih dapat dimanfaatkan pada industri limbah PKS. Limbah padat dan cair kelapa sawit memiliki nilai ekonomi tersendiri dalam lingkup agribisnis. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar potensi ekonomi limbah kelapa sawit di PT. KTS Aceh Barat. Penelitian ini dengan pendekatan deskriptif, data penelitian ini merupakan data primer dengan pendekatan pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti adalah survei lapangan dan wawancara,  analisis yang dilakukan meliputi produksi limbah sawit kelapa sawit yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data Potensi ekonomi TKKS dan cangkang di PT. KTS Aceh Barat dengan rata-rata produksi per bulan mencapai 2.901.904,4 kg untuk TKKS dan sebesar 808.554,4 kg untuk cangkang. Potensi ekonomi limbah TKKS di PT. KTS  Rp120.000 per ton dan potensi ekonomi limbah cangkang sebesar Rp700.000/ton.Strategi pemanfaatan pontesial dari limbah tersebut hanya terbatas pada penggunaan sendiri, untuk TKKS digunakan sebagai pupuk dan cangkang hanya untuk kebutuhan bahan bakar boiler, belum terbentuk siklus agribisnis dari limbah kelapa sawit pada PT. KTS Aceh Barat.

Abstract

Crude coconut oil (CCO) is a coconut derivative product that has high economic value and contributes greatly to the overall export of coconut products. Indonesia is the second largest exporter of crude coconut oil in the world, but the export volume of Indonesian crude coconut oil to the main destination countries has decreased in recent years. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian crude coconut oil in the main destination countries and the factors that influence the export of Indonesian crude coconut oil in the main destination countries. The analytical methods used are RCA, EPD, and panel data regression. The results of RCA and EPD estimates show that Indonesia’s CCO is comparatively competitive in the Netherlands, Malaysia, and the United States and competitive in the United States, namely in the rising star position. The estimation results of the model show that the variables of Indonesia's CCO export prices have a negative effect, while the Philippines' CCO export prices and trade openness have a positive effect on the export volume of Indonesia’s CCO.

Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of knowing the response of Butterhead lettuce plants to various types of hydroponic growing media and the nutrient concentration of AB mix on growth and yield. This research was carried out in November - January 2023 at the Green House Indigen Hydroponic Farm Yogyakarta, Maguwoharjo Village, Depok District, Special Region of Yogyakarta. This study used the splitplot method, the mainplot consisted of various types of AB mix concentrations consisting of 4 doses namely 600 ppm, 800 ppm, 1000 ppm and 1200 ppm. And the subplot consists of 3 types of planting media, namely rockwool, cotton and hydroton. In this study, data analysis used ANOVA to determine the growth response of butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa var capitata) to differences in nutrient concentrations and also the media used. Analysis using ANOVA variance was used to see the effect of treatment. If there is a significant difference in each treatment, then proceed with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results of data analysis showed that there was no interaction between the type of growing media and the concentration of nutrients used. The type of planting media used has an influence on the growth and yield of butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa var.capitata), with the best results using rockwool growing media. The various nutrient concentrations used gave good results, with the best result being a concentration of 1200 ppm and the most efficient being 1000 ppm. The concentration of 1200 ppm and rockwool growing media gave the best results on the yield and growth of Butterhead lettuce (Lactuca sativa var.capitata). INTISARIPenelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui respon tanaman selada Butterhead terhadap berbagai macam jenis media tanam hidroponik dan konsentrasi nutrisis AB mix terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil.  Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan November – Januari 2023 di Green House Indigen Farm Hidroponik Yogyakarta, Desa Maguwoharjo, Kecamatan Depok, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode splitplot, mainplot terdiri dari berbagai jenis konsentrasi AB mix yang terdiri dari 4 dosis yaitu 600 ppm, 800 ppm, 1000 ppm, dan 1200 ppm.  Dan subplot terdiri dari 3 macam media tanam yaitu rockwool, kapas dan hidroton.  Pada penelitian ini analisis data menggunakan Anova untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan selada butterhead (Lactuca sativa var capitata) terhadap  perbedaan konsentrasi nutrisis dan juga media yang digunakan. Analisis menggunakan varian anova digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan. Jika berbeda nyata pada setiap perlakuan maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%.  Hasil analisis data menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi yang antara macam media tanam dan kosentrasi nutrisi yang digunakan. Macam media tanam yang digunakan memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman selada butterhead (Lactuca sativa var.capitata), dengan hasil yang paling baik yaitu menggunakan media tanam rockwool.  Macam konsentrasi nutrisi yang digunakan memberikan hasil yang baik, dengan hasil terbaik yaitu konsentrasi 1200 ppm dan terefisien yaitu 1000 ppm.  Konsentrasi 1200 ppm dan media tanam rockwool memberikan hasil yang paling baik terhadap hasil dan pertumbuhan selada Butterhead (Lactuca sativa var.capitata).

Abstract

Dendrobium is a genus of orchids whose flowers vary in shape and color, making them much in demand as ornamental plants. In vitro propagation requires the proper composition of culture media to speed up the growth of seedlings, but media composition is still relatively quite pricey for orchid producers. It is necessary to alter popular culture, especially the utilization of abundant natural resources, such as seaweed (Gracilaria sp.). This study aims to determine the effect of adding seaweed extract (Gracilaria sp.) to the culture media on the growth of Dendrobium sp. seedlings. The study was carried out in Central Laboratory INSTIPER Yogyakarta. The study used a factorial experimental method which was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the type of seaweed with 2 levels, namely seaweed variant 1 and variant 2. The second factor was the concentration of seaweed extract with 4 levels (0 gram/liter, 0.5 gram/liter, 1 gram/liter, and 1 .5 gram/liter). Parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, leaf color, number of roots, root length, and fresh weight. The results of the observations were analyzed using DMRT test at the 5% level. The results showed that the addition of 1 and 1.5 grams/liter of seaweed extract could significantly increase the parameters of plant height and the number of leaves of Dendrobium sp.INTISARIDendrobium merupakan salah satu marga anggrek yang bervariasi bentuk dan warna bunganya sehingga banyak diminati sebagai tanaman hias. Perbanyakan anggrek secara in vitro membutuhkan komposisi media kultur yang tepat sehingga mampu mempercepat pertumbuhan bibit, namun komposisi media tersebut masih terhitung mahal bagi produsen anggrek. Modifikasi media kultur perlu dilakukan khususnya yang memanfaatkan bahan alami dengan kemelimpahan tinggi, salah satunya adalah rumput laut (Gracilaria sp.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan ekstrak rumput laut (Gracilaria sp.) pada media kultur terhadap pertumbuhan bibit anggrek Dendrobium sp. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Sentral INSTIPER Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan metode percobaan faktorial yang disusun dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor pertama adalah jenis rumput laut dengan 2 aras yaitu rumput laut varian 1 dan rumput laut varian 2. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi ekstrak rumput laut dengan 4 aras yaitu 0 gram/liter, 0,5 gram/liter, 1 gram/liter, dan 1,5 gram/liter. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, warna daun, jumlah akar, panjang akar, dan berat segar. Hasil pengamatan dianalisis sidik ragam dan uji lanjut DMRT jenjang 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan ekstrak rumput laut 1 dan 1,5 gram/liter mampu meningkatkan secara signifikan parameter tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun bibit anggrek Dendrobium sp.

Abstract

Natural resources in Indonesia are very rich, for example agricultural commodities, but many have not been utilized. One example is the pumpkin plant (waluh). This study aims to (1) find out the business feasibility of the pumpkin processing industry into geplak, gelek, sticks in Getasan District, Semarang Regency, (2) find out the income from value-added pumpkin processing into geplak, gelek, sticks. (3) Knowing the feasibility of pumpkin farming in Getasan District, Semarang Regency. The basic method of research using quantitative methods. A sample of 30 farmers and 3 pumpkin entrepreneurs was determined using the non-probability method with a purposive sampling technique, collecting data using primary data and secondary data by means of interviews, observation and BPS (central statistical agency), literature, books and journals. Data analysis to calculate using the Hayami method. The results showed that the feasibility of farming was quite profitable and the added value analysis of pumpkin processing into geplak, gelek, and sticks was quite high or profitable compared to farmers selling pumpkin crops directly. INTISARI Sumber daya alam di Indonesia sangat kaya, misalnya komoditas pertanian, namun banyak yang belum termanfaatkan. Salah satu contohnya adalah tanaman labu kuning (waluh). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kelayakan usaha industri pengolahan labu kuning menjadi geplak, gelek, lidi di Kecamatan Getasan Kabupaten Semarang, (2) mengetahui pendapatan dari pengolahan labu kuning menjadi geplak, gelek, lidi. (3) Mengetahui kelayakan usahatani labu kuning di Kecamatan Getasan Kabupaten Semarang. Metode dasar penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel sebanyak 30 petani dan 3 pengusaha labu kuning ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode non probabilitas dengan teknik purposive sampling, pengumpulan data menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik), literatur, buku dan jurnal. . Analisis data untuk menghitung menggunakan metode Hayami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan usahatani cukup menguntungkan dan analisis nilai tambah pengolahan labu kuning menjadi geplak, gelek, dan lidi cukup tinggi atau menguntungkan dibandingkan dengan petani menjual hasil panen labu kuning secara langsung.

Abstract

Potato is one of the commodities of choice to support diversification programs in order to achieve sustainable food security. The problem that is often faced in efficient potato marketing is the high and low price level at the farm level which is related to the existing marketing pattern and the large marketing margin. This study aims to determine the pattern of marketing channels, determine the cost of marketing margins and farmer's share, determine the level of efficiency in potato marketing analysis. The research was conducted in Wates village, Wonoboyo sub-district, Temanggung district from September 2021 to April 2022. The study used descriptive and Ex Post Facto methods, determining respondents using census techniques, types and sources of data used primary data and secondary data. The results showed that: 1) There are 3 marketing channels for potatoes. 2) Marketing channel marketing margin One Rp. 4,000. Marketing channel marketing margin Two Rp. 4,934.78. Marketing channel marketing margin Three Rp. 500. 3) Farmer's Share marketing channel One 70.4%. Farmer's Share of marketing channels Two 65.8%. Farmer's Share of marketing channels Three 95%. 4) Marketing efficiency of marketing channel One 3.06%. Marketing efficiency of marketing channels Two 1.93%. Marketing efficiency of marketing channels Three 0.04%. There are conclusions from this research the number of marketing agencies involved in marketing will affect the length of the marketing chain and the amount of marketing costs. INTISARIKentang merupakan salah satu komoditas pilihan untuk mendukung program diversifikasi dalam rangka mewujudkan ketahanan pangan berkelanjutan. Permasalahan yang sering dihadapi dalam pemasaran kentang yang efisien adalah tinggi rendahnya tingkat harga di tingkat petani yang berkaitan dengan pola pemasaran yang ada dan besarnya margin pemasaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola saluran pemasaran, mengetahui besarnya biaya margin pemasaran dan farmer’s share, mengetahui tingkat efisiensi pada analisis pemasaran kentang. Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Wates kecamatan Wonoboyo kabupaten Temanggung pada bulan September 2021 sampai bulan April 2022. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dan Ex Post Facto, penentuan responden dengan teknik sensus, jenis dan sumber data yang digunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : 1) Saluran pemasaran kentang terdapat 3 saluran pemasaran. 2)  Margin pemasaran saluran pemasaran Satu Rp. 4.000. Margin pemasaran saluran pemasaran Dua Rp. 4.934,78. Margin pemasaran saluran pemasaran Tiga Rp. 500. 3) Farmer’s Share saluran pemasaran Satu 70,4 %. Farmer’s Share saluran pemasaran Dua 65,8 %. Adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini banyaknya lembaga pemasaran yang terlibat dalam pemasaran akan mempengaruhi panjang pendeknya rantai pemasaran dan besarnya biaya pemasaran.

Abstract

Soursop plants is a plant that grows wild, then developed into a yard plant. Soursop plants (Annona muricata L.) grow in tropical climates and can adapt well to lowlands up to 800 m above sea level. This study aims to determine the effect of multi-functional liquid fertilizer on soil fertility in soursop plants (Annona muricata L.)  from shoot joints. This research was conducted on Jl Madura, Kelurahan Pahlawan, North Binjai District, Binjai City, Noorth Sumatra Province, from January 2023 to March 2023. This study used the Non-Factorial Group Randomized Design (GRD) experimental method with 4 leves of treatment (without liquid fertilizer treatment, 2 ml/ liter of water, 4 ml/ liter of water, and 6 ml/ liter of water) so that there were 16 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of 3 sample plants, so that the total plant size is 48 experimental units. Observation variables in this study include plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of branches, trunk diameter, and branch length. The result showed that the effect of applying multi-functional liquid fertilizer at a dose of 6 ml/ liter of water had a significantly different influence on the age of soursop plants three months after transplanting on plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of branches, trunk diameter, and branch length. This is significantly different from the dose of liquid fertilizer 0, 2 ,and 4 ml/ liter of water.
