Alsuna: Journal of Arabic and English Language
Alsuna: Journal of Arabic and English Language is published by the Arabic Language Education Program and Foreign Language Department of Institut Pesantren KH. Abdul Chalim Mojokerto-Indonesia. The editor welcomes language studies, language observers, and practitioners of Arabic-English teachers or researchers around the world to submit scientific articles to be published in this journal. All articles will be reviewed by experts before being accepted for publication. Each author is fully responsible for the contents of published articles. Alsuna Journal of Arabic and English Language (ISSN 2615-0905) has recently joined International Database for Indexing with National Accreditation SINTA, Gogle Scholar , DOAJ, and in every article published already has a unique DOI number (doi.org/10.31538/alsuna).

<![CDATA[Many teachers fail to create a creative learning activity based on the children’s characteristics. In fact, many of today’s elementary schools are equipped with modern technology facilities that can encourage the children’s motivation in vocabulary learning. Unfortunately, the facilities are still used monotonously in learning activity. This invariable learning activity may cause boredom for young learners. One of the ways to solve the problem is by developing a suitable teaching aid to increase vocabulary learning quality for young learners; it is the electronic Snakes and Ladders game. Therefore, this study aims to develop the conventional format of Snakes and Ladders game into electronic format for the teaching of English vocabulary to the second graders and to investigate the students’ responses toward the game developed. The results in revision I and revision II shows that there are some revisions made dealing with the features and content during the development of the game. While the content is revised by adding more questions amount and variation. Overall the material used and the features exposed in electronic Snakes and Ladders game are appropriate with the second graders characteristics and learning objective. Furthermore, the students show positive response toward the electronic Snakes and Ladders game.]]>

<![CDATA[This research concerned with the correlation between reading habit and students’ reading comprehension acheivements. The method used was correlational design. The population and samples were 37 Students. Questionnaire and documentation were used to collect the data. The researchers used Pearson Product Moment Correlation to analyze the data. The results showed that r-obtained was 0.353 compared to r-value interpretation of 0.200 to 0.400 which means there was a low correlation. Yet, r-table of 37 students was 0.325 while r-obtained was 0.353 which means that there was a significant correlation.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is aimed at figuring out the dominant symbolisms and the meanings in the five selected love poems of Nicholas Gordon. The descriptive-qualitative method was applied in this research. To analyze the data, the researcher used qualitative data analysis. The results showed that there were twenty five conventional symbolisms and nineteen natural symbolisms in the five selected love poems of Nicholas Gordon. In other words, four conventional symbolisms and four natural symbolisms in the first selected love poem, four conventional symbolisms and eight natural symbolisms in the second selected love poem, ten conventional symbolisms and one natural symbolism in the third selected love poem, four conventional symbolisms and three natural symbolisms in the fourth selected love poem, and three conventional symbolisms and three natural symbolisms in the fifth selected love poem. In conclusion, conventional symbolism was more dominant than natural symbolism, and most of the meanings of the poems related to feelings of happiness and sadness in line with love relationship.]]>

<![CDATA[Proverbs are by far the richest man's prominence being a privilege and a multifaceted reflection of communication activities. They serve the presence of an ongoing process of mentality as effective spoken or written instruments conveying countless senses, intentions, experiences, purposes and so on. This paper aims to explore the significance of proverbs at various levels of communications through a thorough depiction of the essential traits and various possible inherent and intended meanings which they convey. It is mainly concerned with viewing the communicative significance of proverbs through involving them to the possible speech acts they intend to provoke and through expounding the multiple congenital meanings which they imply when used in a communicative situation. It can be explicitly demonstrated through this paper that proverbs are used as an intrinsic estimation of the communication process emphasizing different values of instructive functions, moral considerations, knowledges, wisdoms and experiences at and for the will of human being.]]>

<![CDATA[تعلم اللغة العربية ليس بالأمر السهل أو الهين، لكنه مع البحث والدراسة أمكن الوصول إلى عدة طرق لتعليم اللغة في وقت قصير وبجهد معقول. والأهداف من هذا البحث هي: 1- لمعرفة مشكلات تعليم اللغة العربية. 2- لمعرفة عوامل ظهور مشكلات تعليم اللغة العربية. 3- لمعرفة الحلول المقترحة لمشكلات تعليم اللغة العربية بجامعة الإسلامية شيخنا محمد خليل بنجكلان مدورا. اعتمادا على ذلك، استخدم الباحث في كتابة هذه الرسالة مدخل البحث النوعي من نوع دراسة وصفية تحليلة. وتتكون مصادره من المصادر الأساسية والثانوية. ويقوم طريقة جمع بياناته بطريقة المقابلة والملاحظة والوثائق. أما تحليل بياناته يستند إلى نوع تحليل ميلس وهبرمان( Mils dan Hubberman). بناء على نتائج البحث، فالمشكلات تعليم اللغة العربية في الجامعة الإسلامية شيخنا محمد خليل هي: الفروق الفردية الشخصية، والصعوبة في تكوين البيئة اللغوية المصطنعة، والصعوبة في التسوية للمدرسين، والقصور في استخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة. وأما عوامل ظهور مشكلاتها هي: اختلاف خلفيتهم أكدمية كافية لمجال اللغة العربية معهدية وغير معهدية، وقلة الرغبة في تعلم اللغة العربية، ونادر في اللقاء بين المستويات. وأما الحلول لحل مشكلاتها هي: أن يقسم المدرس داخل الفصل حسب كفاءتهم، وأن يقيم المدرس الإشراف والدرس الإضافية واختار الوسائل أو الطرق الجذابة والرائعة عند تعليمه، ويعقد اللقاءات بين المستويات، و أن يراعي المدرس الفروق الفردية بين طلابه.]]>

<![CDATA[تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف اكتساب اللغة في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة في عملية اكتساب اللغة من خلال ما يسمع ويمارس مع اللغة والتواصل من الكلمات لديهم. تستخدم هذه الدراسة تصميمًا بحثيًا وصفيًا نوعيًا لأن هذه الدراسة تعرض نتائج البحث على أساس الحقائق الموجودة في حياة المتحدثين اليومية وعملية اكتساب اللغة في الجوانب الصوتية للأطفال. البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها هي نتيجة البحث من خلال الملاحظة ، مذكرات مذكرات ، والمقابلات. تشير نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن الكائن قد أتقن حروف العلة [a] ، [i] ، [u] ، [e] و [o]. من الوصف أعلاه ، يمكن الاستنتاج أن اكتساب اللغة لدى الأطفال في الجوانب الصوتية يتأثر بالعوامل البيئية ، وخاصة عائلة القبعة ، والتي تتميز بعدد المفردات التي يحصلون عليها في البيئة الأسرية وحولها]]>

<![CDATA[تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف تعليم اللغة العربية في منظور المنهج العلمي في المدرسة الثانوية المعلمين المحمدية يوغياكرتا. يعتبر المنهج العلمي هو جوهر تنفيذ المنهج العام 2013. ويعزز المنهج العلمي الخطوات الحقيقية والتفكير المستوي العالي في التعليم الذي يهدف إلى تكوين مهارات الطلاب الناعمة والمهارات الصعبة. المنهج العلمي هو أحد الأساليب التي تتبنى نموذج التعليم في القرن الحادي والعشرين لتعزيز الكفاءات الموقف والمعرفة والمهارة . في تعليم اللغة العربية، يعد مستوى التعليم العالي أعلى مرحلة في التعليم المدرسي المتتابع بعد المدرسة الإعدادية والإبتدائية ، وبالتالي فإن الكفاءة التي يتم تشكيلها يجب أن تؤدي أيضًا إلى التفكير المستواي العالي. في المدرسة الثانوية المعلمين المحمدية تستخدم منهجًا علميًا يشير إلى المنهج العام 2013. لذلك، من الضروري مراجعة وصف التعليم فيها.]]>
