Abstract

Regular pregnancy checks will determine the mother's health status during pregnancy because basically the cause of Fe deficiency anemia in pregnant women is caused by two factors, namely direct and indirect factors. Meanwhile, factors that do not directly influence a person's Hb levels by influencing the availability of Fe in food include the low economy. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the regularity of ANC examinations and the incidence of anemia in the Turikale Community Health Center Working Area, Turikale District, Maros Regency. The type and research method used is the Cross Sectional Study method. In this study, the samples taken were 36 third trimester pregnant women who had their pregnancies checked in the Turikale Community Health Center Working Area, Maros Regency, using purposive sampling. The research results showed that 29 people (80.6%) regularly made ANC visits and 7 people (19.4%) did not regularly. Six respondents (16.7%) experienced anemia and 30 respondents (83.3%) did not experience anemia. There is a relationship between the regularity of ANC visits and the incidence of anemia with a value of ρ=0.004<from α=0.05, this means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It is hoped that it can increase monitoring and screening of pregnant women who experience high levels of anemia through home visits, making class activities more effective for pregnant women and empowering families, especially husbands or parents, to be motivated to invite pregnant women to have their pregnancies checked regularly. The husband or closest family member can be given an understanding of the dangers and efforts to prevent anemia in pregnant women

Abstract

The Family Planning (FP) program has been proven to be one of the most effective efforts to reduce maternal mortality rates. This study aims to identify factors influencing the use of intrauterine device (IUD) contraception in Tinggede Community Health Center, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province in 2024. The study uses a cross-sectional analytical method with a sample size of 130 FP acceptors at Tinggede Community Health Center. The results show that knowledge, attitude, and the husband's support significantly influence the use of IUD. The higher the knowledge, attitude, and husband's support, the higher the rate of IUD usage. The study also finds that subjective norms do not significantly influence the use of IUD. This indicates that community norms do not greatly affect women's decisions to use IUDs. In conclusion, knowledge, attitude, and the husband's support are important factors influencing the use of IUD at Tinggede Community Health Center, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve husbands' knowledge and support for IUD to increase the use of this contraceptive method in the community. Keywords: IUD, knowledge, attitude, subjective norms, husband's support

Abstract

Efforts to accelerate the reduction of MMR are carried out by ensuring that every mother can access quality maternal health services, especially completing pregnancy checks (antenatal care/ ANC) from health workers. However, ANC coverage in several health centers is still not complete according to the target in each trimester. Various factors can influence the completeness of pregnant women in ANC. The aim of this research is to conduct an analysis of the relationship between education, working status and husband's support on the regularity of ANC visits for pregnant women in the third trimester. The design of this research is cross sectional. The location of this research was UPTD Kemayoran Community Health Center in December 2023. The sample used in this research was 30 pregnant women in the third trimester using accidental sampling. The independent variables are education, working status and husband's support. The dependent variable is the completeness of pregnancy checks/antenatal care (ANC). The bivariate analysis used in this research was the chi square test. Based on the results of the analysis, it is indicated that there is a relationship between education, working status, and husband's support on the regularity of ANC visits. The higher the mother's education, the more routine and complete her ANC visits are (p value 0.045). Mothers who do not work tend to make regular and complete ANC visits to check their pregnancy (p value 0.015). And mothers who receive support from their husbands tend to make regular and complete ANC visits to check their pregnancy (p value 0.001)

Abstract

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that tastes 200 times sweeter than sucrose. Aspartame in the body is broken down into aspartic acid, phenylalanine, and methanol which accumulates in the blood then metnol will become formaldehyde Then formaldehyde enters the stomach cells, the ALDH enzyme will convert it into phosphomic acid, formic acid that comes out of the cell will inhibit mitochondrial respiration there is a decrease in ATP production which can increase lactic acid production because it accelerates the glycolysis process resulting in damage to the gastric mucosa. This study aims to determine the effect of giving black cumin (nigella sativa) on macroscopic and microscopic images of gastric organs rattus norvegicus induced by aspartame. This study is an experimental analytical research using 5 treatment groups including 1 normal group, 1 negative group and 3 aspartame and black cumin treatment groups where each group consists of 5 white rats and one reserve in each group. The results of macroscopic observations obtained the results of differences in gastric color where in groups (K0) and (K3) were pink while in groups (K1), (K2) and (K4) were white, had a chewy texture, and had different sizes for each group. In microscopic results analyzed using the One Way ANOVA statistical test, a signification value of <0.05 was obtained, which means that there is a significant difference in the average in all groups. Based on further Post Hoc Tukey tests, the most effective black cumin dose results provided a protective effect, namely the group (K3) with a dose of 0.2 mL / 200 g BB / day. .

Abstract

Background The National Family Planning Movement is primarily focused on controlling the population growth rate and planning human resources. Preventing successive pregnancies is one of the objectives of using contraceptives. Injectable contraception is a practical and effective method of contraception. It is one of the most widely used contraceptive methods in Indonesia. However, one of the side effects of injectable contraception is the potential increase in body weight. Objective The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of injectable contraceptive use on weight change in the working area of the Bumiwonorejo Public Health Center, Nabire Regency, Central Papua Province in 2024. Method (The research method employed is quantitative, aiming to collect numerical data that can be statistically analyzed. This study uses a cross-sectional research design. The collected data are analyzed using the Chi-square test. The Chi-square test is a statistical test used to examine the relationship between two nominal variables. Result From the results we obtained, it appears that out of the seven variables we studied, not all of them have significant values. The variables that show significance are age and physical activity. Therefore, it can be concluded that age is the most influential variable. Conclusion There are two variables that have a significant influence, namely the age variable and the physical activity variable. Meanwhile, the variables of type of contraception, duration of contraceptive use, level of knowledge, parity, and diet of the acceptor, did not indicate a significant influence.
