Abstract

Stress hospitalization is often experienced by low birth weight (LBW) infants who are experiencing nurses in the hospital. Developmental care is one developmental care developed in order to minimize the impact of hospitalization. This study aims to deter- mine the effect of developmental care on hospitalization stress reduction among LBW infants in NICU Dr. Moh Soewandhi Hospital. Pre-experimental Design One Group Pre-Post Test Design was used. 30 respondents obtained by using Simple Random Sampling technique. The independent variable was development care and the depen- dent variable was stress hospitalization. Developmental care procedure checklist and the behavior sheet of LBW infant instrument were used. The data was analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with significance level α = 0.05. The results showed that almost half (46.7%) of respondents had moderate stress before Development Care was done, and most of them (73.3%) did not experience stress after Development Care. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analysis showed that p = 0,000 at significance level α = 0.05. It means that there is influence of developmental care to decrease stress of hospi- talization on LBW Infant in NICU Dr Moh Soewandhi Hospital. In sum, develop- ment Care can reduce hospitalization stress in LBW. Therefore, it is suggested that the whole family to do Development Care on LBW who experience stress hospitalization.

Abstract

The most common problems experienced by adolescents are reproductive health problems including unwanted pregnancy (KTD), abortion, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), sexual violence, and the problem of limited access to health information and services about health reproduction. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has developed a youth health program in Indonesia through the Youth Care Health Service (PKPR) since 2003 in health care. The Youth Care Health Care Program (PKPR) in the city of Surabaya began in 2010 at the Rangkah health center, then in the following year it developed. The problem raised in this study is the low percentage of coverage of the implementation of the PKPR program in Rangkah. The approach that will be used in examining the program implementation is seen from the input, process, and output components by looking at the 2014 PKPR National Standards Guidelines.Objective:  This study aims to analyze the implementation of PKPR (Youth Care Health Services) program at Rangkah health center using a system based approach national standard of PKPR.Methods:  This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The informant source was chosen purposively purposely selected by the researcher for the subject based on several criteria by adjusting to the objectives.Results:  The results showed that the implementation of the PKPR program at the Rangkah Health Center was still not nationally standard. In addition, training for health center PKPR officers is still not routine in the implementation of both at the Rangkah health center. The Rangkah health center has collaborated in the implementation of PKPR programs across sectors, across programs and with certain NGOsConclusion:   The implementation of the Rangkah Puskesmas PKPR program is in accordance with the national standard guidelines set by the Ministry of Health

Abstract

ABSTRACT Background : wound cleansing is part of wound management which performed to remove foreign bodies or pathogens that can cause infections in wounds to improve the wound healing process. Although it has been agreed that wound cleansing aims to reduce the incidence of infection but the reality is still debated among practitioners about the advantages and disadvantages of this implementation, so the selection of wound cleansers must be done wisely. This review literature aims to evaluate the use of available wound cleansers for wound healing. methods: Literatures was sourced from database Google scholar, PubMed, Proquest, ScienDirect, published from January 2011 to July 2018, there 14 articles were identified and after 9 filters were left. Results: from 9 articles that met the criteria, the results that showed the effect of wound cleansing use; Electrolyzed strong acid water, superoxidised, hydrogen peroxide, propylbetaine-polihesanide, povidine-iodine, chlorin dioxide, tap water with normal saline as a comparison group of the effectiveness in inhibiting infection, tissue toxicity, comfortably, timing and improvement of wound healing process. Based on the review results, it is generally stated that there is no significant difference between. Conclusions: There was no significant difference between wound cleanser. Based on this review it is recommended to pay attention to the type of wound before using wound Cleansing. Keywords: wound Cleansing, wound healing, literature review

Abstract

Objective: to identify the effect of the use of family planning counseling media on improving vasectomy knowledges and counseling skills.Methods: This article used  quasi-experimental method with a non randomized control group pre test - post test design. The research subjects were 35 male heads of the male family planning group divided into mannequin, video, leaflet, poster, and control group.  Results: Average variable of knowledges of the male family planning group leader before debriefing was 43.66 and after it became 66.86 with average knowledges in the control namely 43.43, leaflet 68.71, poster 68.57, video 74.29, and mannequin 78.29 (p = 0.0001) or smaller than 0.05. While the average variable of counseling skills before debriefing was 26.74 and after it became 84.00 with the average of them were control group 27.43, leaflet 65.14, poster 70.85, video 72.57, and mannequin 71.57, (p = 0,0001) or smaller than 0.05.  Conclusion: The use of family planning counseling medias increase vasectomy knowledges and counseling skills. For knowledges, mannequin is the best media. While the counseling skills, video is the best one.Keywords:  counseling skills, knowledges, media

Abstract

Introduction: Waiting time and length of stay ( LOS ) is one of indicators the quality of service in emergency room (ER ) that affects satisfaction patients, where speed and the accuracy is the essence service in ER. Research aims to understand the relations of waiting time and LOS with satisfaction patients in of emergency room Jombang general hospital. Method: This research using correlational design with cross sectional approached. The technique sampling is accidental sampling. The population were 1.204 people. And the sample size 60 people. Data collection used a questionnaire for measuring satisfaction patients and observation stopwatch a use for measuring waiting time and LOS. Data analyzed by statistical tests the spearman rank. Result: The results of the study obtained 31 people ( 51.7 % ) of respondents with waiting time slow, 24 people ( 40,0 % ) of respondents with los slow, while for the satisfaction of patients 31 people ( 51.7 % ) of a patient is satisfied with service. Statistical tests the spearman rank showsed that waiting time with satisfaction obtained  r value = 0,666, p value = 0,000. To LOS with satisfaction the r value = 0,350, p value = 0,006. There is a significant relation exists between waiting time and LOS with satisfaction patients. Discussion: Waiting time and LOS significant correlated with satisfaction patients in ER Jombang general hospital. The ER in Jombang general hospital is expected to have strong commitment, to give priority to the quality of service and interests of patients. Health workers is expected to give rapid service, right and respond to the problem of patients. And advanced research required about satisfaction patients in ER and the supporting factors.

Abstract

Objective:  The word health service has trying to apply holistic has concept that sees people wholy, consisting of thought, not balanced emotion, physics, social, spiritual and environment. Holistic Health Care (HHC) is a trial to remedy patients which focuses onpsychological and spiritual aspect of the patients besides medical or physical aspect the increasing of prevalentcronic illness or onspread illness becomes national or global health problems now. One of them is stroke illness, the highest cause of death and disability in Indonesia is stroke illness. It is suffered by people over 45 years old, globaly the death it is 87% caused by stroke illness, stroke illness causes the patient feels changing on his heart, social role, self-care, and dropping work product. So stroke patient needs scale measurement of life quality.Methods: The method which is applied in this reseach (paper) literature of review study. It is adopted from PubMed, ProQuest, Ebsco Host with their key words holistic nursing care or holistic health and quality of life And stroke , and the years has the range of time between 2015 to 2019.Results: Based on this research through datebase PubMed, ProQuest, Ebsco Host, cause we got 7 articles which support the tittle we got 7 articles which two of them talk about holistic, one of them talks about spirituality, and four of them talk about alive quality of stroke patients.Conclusion: The application of holistic health care in the hospital and increasing the life quality of the patient better than stroke patients.

Abstract

Drug abuse in Surabaya is one of the problems that is quite high. These problems often occur at the age of 10-19 years which is the age groups of student. Drug abuse prevalence in Surabaya city is 0,012%. Teenagers who use drugs abuse in 2013 were 29 students, it was 37 students in 2014 and increase up to 51 students in 2015. Factors that cause adolescents to use abuse drugs are family and friends.  Family are factors that have great influence in the child’s learning process. This is because children interact more with their family than with people at schoool. While for friends, interaction between oneself and peer is direct that occurs between individuals and individuals with groups. The contact involve children who have similar characteristics and at the same age level. The purpose of this research was to determina the effect of friend and family support on the behavior of drug use prevention of adolescents in Surabaya. This article is based on the results of research that conducted on junior high school students in Surabaya. The study used a quantitative approach method with observasional types. Sampling in this research use a total sampling technique that is as many as 77 adolescent respondents. Independent variables from this research are family and friend support. While the dependent variable is the behavior of drug use prevention. The results of this research are an influence between family support for drug use prevention (p= 0,031). While for friend support has an influence on the behavior of drug use prevention by (p=0,012). The conclusion in this research is that the characteristics of respondents are dominated by female gender. Respondents have a dominant age that is 13 years old. Research on respondents stated that both variables have an influence on drug use behavior for adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Wound healing is a series of complex events that are interrelated and depend on one another. Wound healing can be accelerated using traditional medicine. Traditional medicine is one of the efforts to overcome health problems that have been passed down from generation to generation, the use of traditional plants in Indonesia is part of national culture and has been widely used by people since centuries ago. Purpose: Information about traditional plants that can be used in wound healing. Method: Literature obtained based on scientific databases such as Science direct, and Google Scholar with current pharmacological evidence. Result: Traditional medicine has the activity as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial in wound healing reported from various studies at this time. Therefore, their research can be introduced as something natural and can be used as a remedy for wound healing. Conclusion: Traditional plants can heal wounds through a mechanism.

Abstract

 Background. It is very important for nurses to carry out nursing care actions professionally by adhering to ethical principles. One way of ethical principles that must be adhered to by professional nurses is to refer to the elaboration of the code of ethics as a standard of service. Nursing codes of ethics are valid and useful decision-making tools for nurses in dealing with ethical problems in daily clinical practice. The aim of the literature study is to identify effective ethical behavior through the nursing code of ethics.Method: The data base used in making review literature is Pubmed, Google Scholar, wiley online library and Science Direct. there are 6 articles that meet the criteria. Results: Of the 6 articles used as a literature review, it was found that to support the ethical behavior of nurses according to the code of ethics in supporting nursing care for patients and collaboration between health teams, it was necessary to consider supporting factors and useful inhibiting factors to behave ethically. These factors are knowledge and perception and compliance with the application of ethics by nurses.Conclusion: nurses must have ethical competencies and skills to engage with the people they serve with sincerity, principled courage and compassion.

Abstract

Background: Health literacy is defined as the degree to which individuals have the ability to obtain, process, and understand the basic health information and resources needed to make the right decisions. The highest prevalence of health literacy is low in individuals with low education, minority status, parents, and people with low cognitive abilities. Therefore, the higher the health literacy possessed by someone, the more active they will be in seeking health assistance.Objective: of this literature study is to analyze the correlation between health literacy and health-seeking behavior.Method: The data bases in making this literature review is Pubmed, Google Scholar and Science Direct. The keywords used in article search are "health literacy" and "health- seeking behavior." Then filter the last 6 years, full text and selected according to the appropriate literature study topic.Results: Based on the results of a literature search of 39 articles obtained, there were 5 articles that met the criteria. The study looked at the relationship between health literacy and health-seeking behavior.Conclusion: health literacy influences individual behavior in seeking health assistance
