Abstract

Objective:One form of treatment for hypertension that is currently developing in society is herbal treatment. One of the herbal plants that is currently widely used to lower blood pressure is Mahkota dewa. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of giving Mahkota Dewa boiled water to reduce blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension in the Hutuo sub-district. Methods:The research method used is Pre Experimental research, the planning used is One Group Pre test and Post test design. Results:The results obtained from this research were that in the group given the crown of god there was a change in the average systolic blood pressure during the pre-test and posttest, namely from 148 mmHg to 140,233 mmHg, while the average change in diastolic blood pressure was from 92 mmHg to 86,300 mmHg. Conclusion:From the results of statistical tests carried out to determine blood pressure before and after being given boiled water for Mahkota Dewa, the value of Sig. (2-tailed), namely p = 0.001, which means that there is an effect of boiled water on the crown of the gods on the blood pressure of elderly people who have hypertension. This can be influenced by the potassium content in the god's crown..

Abstract

Introduction: Preoperative patients with anxiety will cause an increase in breathing frequency and heart rate, potentially resulting in the cancellation of surgery. Anxious patients will be intervened through deep breath relaxation techniques that are proven to reduce anxiety levels. Method: The research design is "quasi-experimental" with a " Non-Equivalent Group Design Pre and Post Test" approach. The sampling method used was purposive sampling with a total of 20 respondents divided into two groups. Determination of respondents based on the inclusion criteria of general anesthesia patients, compositional awareness with moderate-severe APAIS anxiety levels who have scheduled surgery at Karsa Husada Batu Hospital. The independent variable is deep breath relaxation, and the dependent variable is anxiety level. Univariate analysis to determine the characteristics of respondents. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test and independent t-test to determine the difference between the two groups. Results: The paired t-test in the pre-post control group resulted in a p-value of 0.823, indicating an average increase of 0.80. Conversely, in the pre-post treatment group, the p-value was 0.000, signifying a mean decrease of 4.00. In the independent t-test between the control and treatment groups in the post-test, the p-value was 0.002. Discussion: Deep breath relaxation improves lung ventilation and blood oxygenation, involving the medulla oblongata which controls the cardiovascular and HPA which regulates the neuendocrine system. Activation of ACTH and CRH increases cortisol secretion, which is associated with anxiety.

Methods: The research design uses non-experimental quantitative methods with a cross-sectional correlation approach. The sampling method used total sampling, namely all families and patients of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of RSI Aisyiyah Malang totaling 33 respondents Results: The study's findings indicated that the patient's family's spiritual level was generally high, the average length of patient care was 4 days, and the patient's family's anxiety level was relatively low. The Spearman rank correlation test results revealed a p-value of 0.000 for the variables spirituality and length of therapy in connection to the patient's family's worry. Conclusion: The conclusion is that there is a relationship between spirituality and length of treatment with family anxiety of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients at RSI Aisyiyah Malang. It is hoped that hospitals, especially nurses, will pay attention in nursing care to the importance of spirituality in overcoming the anxiety of families of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients.

Abstract

Objective: Death of pregnant women due to bleeding is the main cause in Lamongan. The biggest cause is postpartum hemorrhage due to nutritional deficiencies, especially anemia. Anemia is one of the four main nutritional problems in Indonesia which has a fairly high prevalence and is often caused by nutritional deficiencies, especially iron. This study aims to determine the relationship between anemia in pregnancy and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. Methods: Design a case-control study with a retrospective observational approach, collecting data on maternal medical records in January-December 2021 in Bulutigo Laren-Lamongan Village, using a Simple Random Sampling technique with a sample size of 146 mothers who were divided into case groups and control groups. The dependent variable is anemia of pregnancy and the independent variable is postpartum hemorrhage. The research instrument used a check list to assess the incidence of anemia and an observation sheet to assess the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. Data were analyzed by Chi Square test with ️ = 0.05. Results: The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant relationship between anemia and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. The combined odds ratio (OR) showed that the effect of anemic pregnant women on postpartum hemorrhage was 45.7 times higher than that of non-anemic mothers (95% CI: 16.05-117.94; p<0.000). Conclusion: Pregnant women with anemia are 45.7 times more likely to experience postpartum hemorrhage than pregnant women who do not experience anemia. Anemia of pregnancy can be detected by regular antenatalcare (ANC) examinations

Abstract

Objective: To determine the effect of a combination of rose aromatherapy and education on anxiety levels in elective surgical preoperative patients at RSUD Dr. Soedomo Trenggalek. Methods: This article is quantitative with a quasi-experimental research design (two group pretest-posttest design). The sample in the study were 32 respondents who experienced anxiety before elective surgery using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the APAIS anxiety scale. The main data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: The results showed that the average anxiety score before the intervention was 13.88 (moderate anxiety), while the average anxiety score after the intervention was 8.88 (mild anxiety) and the results obtained were ρ value 0.000 (ρ value 0.000 < α 0.05), meaning that there is a combined effect of rose aromatherapy and education on anxiety levels in preoperative elective surgical patients. Conclusion: So that the combination of rose aromatherapy and education can be used to reduce anxiety levels in elective surgical preoperative patients.

Methods: Quantitative research using a cross sectional approach. A total of 48 respondents were recruited as research samples from 70 populations. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. Independent variables are individual factors of personality, psychological factors of motivation, and organizational factors of workload and rewards. Data analysis using SPSS version 21 with multiple logistic regression test with a = 0,05 and 95% confidence level significant. Results: The results showed that there was an influence of individual factors of personality (p=0.047), psychological factors of motivation (p=0.045), organizational factors of workload (p=0.018), and organizational factors of rewards (0.021). The largest Exp (B) value / OR is the workload organizational factor which is 26.150, which means that the perceived workload has a chance of 26.150 times affecting the caring behavior of emergency nurses. Conclusion: Individual personality factors, motivational psychological factors, workload organizational factors and rewards have a significant influence on the caring behavior of emergency nurses. However, there is one factor that most dominantly affects the caring behavior of emergency nurses is the organizational factor of workload.
