Abstract

Writing is the most challenging Arabic language skill, because it involves thinking and writing. Many students at MTs Raudatul Ulum struggle with writing skills, and the lack of technology-based media exacerbates this problem. Therefore, the use of technology such as Quizizz is very important to improve students' writing skills. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of Quizizz in improving the writing skills of 26 seventh grade students at MTs Raudatul Ulum Batu. The research design used is a quantitative experiment, with data collection through observation, documentation and questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis, regular tests, independent sample tests, and paired sample difference tests. The results of this research show that Quizizz is very effective in improving students' Arabic writing skills. Statistical analysis shows that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes before and after using Quizizz (p = 0.000, less than 0.05). Based on these findings, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, thus the statistical results confirm that Quizizz has a positive impact on students' Arabic writing abilities. This research contributes to strategies in learning Arabic to overcome students' difficulties in mastering Arabic writing skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the implementation of the Independent Umrah policy in Indonesia using the Adaptive and Networked Implementation Theory framework proposed by Hupe and Hill (2016) and the Projection Model by Jensen and Johansson (2018). The Independent Umrah policy is an integral part of the reform and digital transformation agenda of the public service sector, particularly in the management of the Umrah pilgrimage, realized through the development and utilization of the SISKOPATUH system. This system is designed to provide pilgrims with more direct and autonomous access to manage the Umrah departure process without complete dependence on conventional Umrah travel agencies. This study employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews with independent Umrah pilgrims and analysis of related policy documents and regulations. The results indicate a significant gap between the ideals of the policy, which focuses on service efficiency, process transparency, and strengthening pilgrim independence, and the reality of implementation on the ground. Various obstacles were identified, such as low digital literacy levels among pilgrims, resistance from travel agencies who felt their role was being reduced, and limited infrastructure readiness and technical support from the government. Further analysis shows that the successful implementation of the Independent Umrah policy is greatly influenced by the effectiveness of cross-actor collaboration, the flexibility of the implementation network, and the government's adaptive capacity in responding to evolving social and institutional dynamics.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of love-based upbringing in Islamic parenting as reflected in the Hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through an interdisciplinary approach combining Hadith studies and developmental psychology. The study aims to analyze parental educational responsibilities as depicted in the Prophetic traditions and to integrate these insights with Attachment Theory developed by John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth. This research employs a qualitative library research method, using primary sources from major Hadith compilations, particularly Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, alongside secondary sources from Islamic education and child development literature. The findings reveal that the Prophetic model of parenting is fundamentally grounded in compassion (raḥmah), gentleness (rifq), and attentiveness to children's emotional needs. The integration of Attachment Theory demonstrates that the Prophetic parenting practices align closely with the principles of secure attachment, particularly parental responsiveness and emotional availability. This study contributes a conceptual framework of Islamic parenting based on love-based upbringing, offering a holistic model that remains relevant to the emotional, moral, and spiritual development of Muslim children in contemporary contexts.

Abstract

This study examines Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas’s concept of the Islamization of language and knowledge as a response to the dominance of Western secular and materialistic epistemology. Al-Attas argues that language has a central role in shaping human thought; therefore, purifying key Islamic terms is necessary to prevent distortion of meaning. In the field of knowledge, he proposes an epistemological framework based on tawḥīd, integrating revelation, reason, intuition, and khabar ṣādiq as valid sources of knowledge. The concept of ta’dīb is positioned as the foundation for forming a morally responsible and civilized individual. Using a library research method, this study analyzes al-Attas’s primary works and relevant academic literature. The findings show that the Islamization of language and knowledge remains relevant for strengthening Islamic epistemology, developing integrative educational curricula, and offering an alternative paradigm to address the challenges of globalization and secularization while maintaining spiritual and ethical values rooted in tawḥīd.

Abstract

This study examines the Walasuji tradition, a part of the Bugis traditional wedding procession that still persists today. Walasuji is a rectangular woven basket filled with various fruits and foodstuffs, each with symbolic meaning. Etymologically, "wala" means to unite, while "suji" means to like or love wholeheartedly. The Bugis community believes this tradition is a symbol of household harmony and a means of social control to prevent divorce. The research results show that the Bugis community views the Walasuji tradition as an important part of the wedding procession, possessing not only aesthetic value but also educational, religious, and social significance. This tradition is believed to maintain household harmony and strengthen the value of siri' (family honor). From an Islamic legal perspective, Walasuji does not conflict with sharia because it is merely a cultural symbol that does not alter the substance of the marriage contract. However, if this tradition is made a requirement for a valid marriage, it is not in accordance with Islamic law. Therefore, Walasuji can be understood as a form of local wisdom that can be preserved as long as it complements the culture, not determines the validity of the marriage contract.

Abstract

The development of digital technology offers significant opportunities to improve the effectiveness of guidance and counseling (BK) management in schools. In today's digital era, BK services are required to adapt to technological changes to meet students' needs more quickly, precisely, and efficiently. This article aims to examine various innovations in digital technology-based Guidance and Counseling management through a literature review of books, scientific journals, and other relevant sources. The study's findings indicate that the use of information technology, such as counseling data management applications, BK information systems, digital communication platforms, and interactive media, can improve data management efficiency, from recording and storing to analyzing counseling data in a systematic and integrated manner. The use of this technology also strengthens the quality of interactions between counselors and students, both through face-to-face and online services. The implementation of digital-based BK management innovations also supports more accurate reporting processes and data-driven decision-making. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, such as limited digital competence of counselors and ethical and data confidentiality issues. Therefore, a development strategy and supporting policies are needed so that digital technology-based BK management innovations can be implemented optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

The professionalism of administrators at the Nurul Iman Cibaduyut Islamic Boarding School is often hampered by the dilemma of dual roles between academic demands and administrative responsibilities, which has implications for burnout and suboptimal performance. This study aims to analyze the concept of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) from the perspective of Tafsir Tarbawi and its implications for the professionalism of Islamic boarding school administrators. This study uses a qualitative approach with an integrative multidisciplinary design that synergizes Grounded Theory for field data with the Tafsir Maudhu'i method for analysis of the Qur'an text. The results of the study show that the concept of SRL in the perspective of tarbawi interpretation is divided into three theological dimensions, namely the planning phase (Forethought) based on Niyyah and the vision of the hereafter (QS. Al-Hasyr: 18), the implementation phase (Performance) based on Itqan and Muraqabah (QS. At-Taubah: 105), and the evaluation phase (Self-Reflection) based on Muhasabah (QS. Al-Qiyamah: 14). These values manifest into a 5C professionalism model: Commitment, Competence, Creativity, Control, and Consistency. This study concludes that the professionalism of Islamic boarding school administrators is not merely a technical achievement, but a manifestation of spiritual integrity built through a strong self-regulation mechanism.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum marks a paradigm shift in education that positions schools as complex social systems, not merely technical classroom learning spaces. This curriculum demands learning flexibility, differentiation, and the strengthening of teachers' professional autonomy in designing contextual and student-centered learning strategies. However, various studies indicate a gap between the design of the Independent Curriculum policy and its implementation practices in schools, characterized by limited teacher adaptive capacity, high administrative burdens, and weak structural support in teaching staff management. These conditions indicate that the problems of implementing the Independent Curriculum are not solely related to individual teacher competencies, but also to how the education system manages the role of teachers, the school's organizational structure, and work culture in an integrated manner. This article aims to analyze and synthesize learning strategies in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum from the perspective of Talcott Parsons' social systems theory through the AGIL (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency) framework. This study employed a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method for scientific journal articles indexed by Google Scholar and relevant to the topics of the Independent Curriculum, learning strategies, teacher management, and AGIL theory. The study's findings indicate that learning strategies serve as a systemic mechanism linking curriculum policies with learning practices and determining the balance between adaptation, goal achievement, social integration, and value preservation within the education system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the influence of social media use (TikTok) and peer interaction on the moral development of eleventh-grade students at Gowa State Senior High School 9. The research method used was quantitative with an ex post facto approach. The population in this study amounted to 353 eleventh-grade students, with a research sample of 100 people obtained through proportional random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, documentation, and observation. Data analysis used included descriptive analysis and inferential analysis through simple linear regression tests and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the use of TikTok social media partially had a significant negative effect on students' morals, while peer interaction had a significant positive effect. However, when tested together (simultaneously), the two variables made a very large contribution, reaching 97.6% in influencing variations in the quality of students' morals. This confirms that student behavior is highly dependent on how they interact in the digital world as well as the quality of their friendship environment at school. Keywords: Social Media, Peer Relationships, Student Morals.
