Abstract

The therapy given to Thalassemia patients with regular transfusions is iron chelation. One of the non-adherence in taking drugs regularly is a lack of understanding of the importance of drugs. Objectives: to determine adherence to taking iron chelation drugs, consumption of protein and iron sources through individual mentoring in thalassemia major pediatric patients in the city of Banjarbaru. Methods: Descriptive observational study with case series design of thalassemia major patients aged 5-18 years, residing in the city of Banjarbaru who received iron chelation therapy. Sampling using total sampling with 6 cases. The method of collecting data was by interviewing using a questionnaire. Data analysis used univariate analysis, descriptively in series and in depth. Results: There were 6 thalassemia patients with 50% of the patients aged 6-9 years, 66.7% of the patients were male, 66.7% of the nutritional status of the patients were normal, 50% of the children had primary education/equivalent, 66.7% of mothers and 50% of the patient's fathers have junior high and high school education/equivalent. Compliance with taking iron chelation drugs in the pretest in the lowlevel category (66.7%) and posttest in the low level category (66.7%). Consumption of protein sources during the pretest in the frequent category (66.7%) and the posttest in the frequent category (66.7%). Abstract

Fulfillment of adolescents physiological requires adequate nutrition including fruits and vegetables. However, They tend to choose fast food such as junk food which contains added sugar and fat than consuming vegetables and fruit. According to result of basic health research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the proportion of fruit / vegetable consumption per day in a week for people aged 5 years and over to the Regency / City of South Kalimantan Province, Banjarbaru City has a level of non-consumption reaching 11,79%, 1-2 portions a week reaching 78,96%, 3-4 servings a week reaches 8,64%, and more than 5 servings a week reaches 0,61%. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between attitudes and junk food against vegetable and fruit consumption among students majoring in nutrition at the Politeknik Kesehatan Kemenkes Banjarmasin. This type of research is an analytical observational study with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were 294 students majoring in nutrition at the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Banjarmasin. Sampling used 83 people with simple random sampling technique. This research was conducted using an online questionnaire with WhatsApp and Google Form. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank correlation test α = 0,05. The results showed the correlation test using the Rank Spearman correlation test found that there was no significant relationship between attitudes and consumption vegetables and fruits and there is a significant relationship between consumption junk food and consumption vegetables and fruit. Abstract

Background : anxiety during pregnancy occurs around 8-10%, and increases to 13% before delivery. This percentage can increase during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for pregnant women who need care while staying in the hospital. Anxiety experienced by pregnant women can have an impact on pregnant women and also the baby they are carrying. The impact that can occur on the mother in the form of hypertension, prolonged labor, miscarriage and if it continues until post partum can cause the mother to experiencebaby blues, while the impacts that can occur in infants are asphyxia, caput succedaneum, and prematurity. Several factors related to the anxiety of pregnant women include age, education, husband's support, and family support Objective: To determine the factors associated with anxiety in third trimester pregnant women in the Working Area of ​​the Lucky Raya Banjarmasin Health Center Method: The design of this research is quantitative analytic, with a designCross Sectional. The population and sample were third trimester pregnant women in the working area of ​​the Lucky Raya Health Center, totaling 63 people. Statistical test using the chi square test Results: 73% of pregnant women experience anxiety, 84% aged 20-35 years, 46% receive positive support from family, 60.3% with parity 2-3, 66.7% pregnant women do not work , and 71.4% with secondary education. There is a significant relationship between age, family support, and parity with anxiety in third trimester pregnant women

Abstract

Diarrhea is a major cause of mortality and morbidity among children less than 5 years of age. Based on data from the Banjar District Health Office in 2019, the Martapura 1 Health Center was the first of 24 health centers in Banjar Regency with the highest number of diarrhea sufferers in toddlers, namely 52.4% of diarrhea cases in toddlers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five at the Martapura 1 Health Center. This research method uses an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The population of 892 toddlers brought by their parents was taken for treatment to the Martapura 1 Public Health Center aged 1-59 months. The sample taken is 892 respondents. Sampling with the Probability Sampling technique with the Total Sampling Technique. The collection of research data is secondary data. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis techniques using the Sperman Rank test. The results showed that the value of (0.002) < (0.05) thus concluded that there was a significant relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five in the working area of Maartapura 1 Public Health Center, Banjar Regency.

Abstract

Several fly species have been related to health issues as mechanical and biological vectors of specific diseases. The purpose of this research was to identify the species of nonbiting fly and the diversity index of flies in the waste shelter at several public hospitals in Yogyakarta. This study used a descriptive observational method with a cross-sectional design. Flies were collected using an insect net at several waste shelters at several public hospitals in Yogyakarta. Identification of flies was carried out directly based on the morphological characteristics of flies. The diversity of fly species was analyzed by Shannon Winner's diversity index. Based on the capture, 3 species of flies were identified in the medical waste shelter and 6 species of flies were identified in the non-medical waste shelter. The number of captured flies in the medical waste shelter was 6, while in the non-medical waste shelter it was 211. The diversity index in the medical waste shelter was 1.011, while in the non-medical waste shelter it was 0.787. The conclusion of this study identified 6 species of flies, known as Musca domestica, Sarcophaga sp., Chrysomyia megachephala, Lucillia sp., Calliphora sp., and Muscina sp. Fly diversity in medical waste shelters was in the low category, while fly diversity in non-medical waste shelters was in the medium category.

Abstract

Angka positif Covid-19 merupakan salah satu indikator epidemiologi. Tingkat kepositifan dihitung dengan membagi jumlah total orang yang memiliki hasil tes positif dengan jumlah total orang yang menjalani tes selama periode waktu yang sama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan kontak erat dengan positivity rate Covid 19 di wilayah Jakarta. Desain penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Data penelitian diambil secara total sampling sebanyak 479 sheetdata. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi produk momen pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kontak erat sebesar 207,8 ± 278,5 dan nilai minimal 0,00 sedangkan nilai maksimal 977,4. Rata-rata positivity rate spesimen sebesar 18,4 ± 11,25 dan nilai minimal 0,4 sedangkan nilai maksimal 51,7. Rata-rata positivity rate harian sebesar 18,68 ± 31,99 dan nilai minimal 0,20 sedangkan nilai maksimal 380,0. Ada hubungan kontak erat dengan positivity rate specimen (p=0,0001) dan ada hubungan kontak erat dengan positivity rate covid 19 (p=0,016). Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan kontak erat dengan positivity rate spesimen dan ada hubungan kontak erat dengan positivity rate Covid-19 di Wilayah Jakarta.

Abstract

Wright's stain is a stain for blood preparations consisting of methylene blue and eosin reagents. Strawberries contain anthocyanin dyes and tomatoes contain lycopene, both of which have the function of giving a red pigment, making it suitable for use as a substitute for eosin taking into account the acidity of the pH used by eosin solution with alternative dyes to be investigated. The pH of eosin is 5.2 - 6.0 in an acidic environment, while the pH of strawberries is 5.5 - 6.5 and the pH of tomatoes is 6.0-6.5. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphology of blood cells in the peripheral blood smear (SADT) and the effectiveness of natural alternative dyes used. The type of method in this research is Quasi Experiment. The research material used was normal control blood. The data collection technique was in tabular form and analyzed using a descriptive test. The results of microscopic observations of the wright-stain dye as a control with the morphology of erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets, produced good staining with a percentage of 96%, while strawberry and tomato juice as alternative colors obtained poor staining results with a percentage of the same amounting to 12.5%. It can be concluded that the natural alternative dyes of strawberries and tomatoes are able to color some blood cells well and have quite good staining quality in some stained blood cells.

Abstract

Bay leaf extract contains alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, steroids, terpenoids, essential oils, citral, and eugenol, tannins. Tannins are known to be active compounds of secondary metabolites which have various benefits in medicine and the food industry, because they have antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-diarrhea and antitumor properties. The bay leaf sample used in this study came from the Banjarbaru area, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. This research was conducted in several stages, namely raw material processing, extract preparation, extract separation and tannin content testing. Product analysis uses the UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method with K₄Fe₆ and FeCl₃ solutions and gallic acid indicator. With an ethanol concentration of 96%, the highest tannin content was obtained, namely 0,854 mg/mL.And the lowest tannin content was obtained on ethanol 60%, namely 0,188 mg/mL

Abstract

Abstract : Obesity in adolescents is caused by many factors including an imbalance in diet, often consuming fast food. Someone who has an unhealthy diet usually consumes more foods with high levels of fat or sugar. These ingredients can make teenagers experience weight gain. Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the level of consumption of energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates and preferences for snack foods in obese adolescents. Method. This type of research is descriptive observational, instrumentfood recall on energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate consumption level variables (Category consumption levels based on the Adequacy of Nutritional Adequacy Rate (RDA): more: > 100%, Good: > 90 - 100%, moderate: > 80 - 90%, less: 70 - 80 %, deficit: <70% and a list of favorite snacks.The population in this study were 32 students of SMAN 3 Banjarbaru.The sampling technique waspurposive sampling, independent variables: Results: The results of this study are:the age of the largest respondent is 16 years, namely (59.4%), the largest gender is female (93.7%). The highest level of calorie consumption is in the more and better category (25%), the highest level of protein consumption is in the moderate and less category (25%), the highest level of fat consumption is in the less category (31.25%) and the highest level of carbohydrate consumption is in the moderate category ( 28.125%). The most choices of snacks that are the favorite choices of teenagers are: fried potatoes, fried noodles, grilled chicken, soy sauce fried chicken, Kentucky chicken and brown bread, each 93%.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis dan gout arthritis (penyakit asam urat) merupakan jenis penyakit sendi yang sering terjadi pada lansia di Indonesia. Peradangan pada satu atau lebih pada persendian dikenal sebagai arthritis (radang sendi), Gejala yang sering ditimbulkan dari penyakit sendi atau arthritis yaitu timbulnya rasa nyeri. Tindakan dalam penanganan rheumatoid arthritis difokuskan mengenai cara mengontrol nyeri, hal tersebut merupakan hal yang sering dialami oleh penyitas rheumatoid arthritis dalam upaya untuk mengurangi kerusakan sendi, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Secara umum, ada dua metode yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengobati nyeri rematik, yaitu terapi farmakologis (obat-obatan) dan terapi non farmakologis. Penatalaksanaan nyeri non farmakologis merupakan intervensi yang dapat dilakukan dalam menurunkan respon nyeri tanpa menggunakan terapi farmakologi. Pilihan alternatif lain dalam meredakan nyeri saat melakukan intervensi keperawatan antara lain relaksasi nafas dalam dan terapi kompres jahe hangat. Pada penerapan karya ilmiah ini dilakukan selama 3 hari dalam setiap sesinya dilakukan selama 15-20 menit. Sebelum dilakukan pemberian terapi non farmakologis, terlebih dahulu dilakukan penilaian karakteristik dan skala nyeri dengan alat ukur Numeric Rating Scale dan Wong Baker. Hasil evaluasi yang didapatkan sejak awal dilakukan pengkajian didapatkan penurunan skala nyeri dengan NRS mengalami penurunan dari 6 menjadi 3 dan Wong Baker 6 menjadi 2. Terlihat juga perubahan prilaku pada akhir pertemuan, dimana cara berjalan klien sudah jauh lebih baik dan mampu secara mandir melakukan aktifitas ringan dengan tidak adanya keluhan nyeri
