Abstract

Excess supply on agricultural products tends to occur when the market does not fully utilize their products. In that condition, technology plays an essential role in helping farmers promote and sell their products (e-marketing). In the other hand, applying e-marketing requires specific knowledge and skill by the farmers as the users. Higher knowledge and skill about IT mean a higher chance for farmers to apply e-marketing for their business. This research aimed to identify the level of farmers’ knowledge and skill on using IT and to analyze its impact on the level their income, revenue, and selling price. Location of research was chosen purposively at Malang Regency and Batu City as production areas of horticultural products in Province of East Java. The samples were categorized into two; those were farmers who use e-commerce and those who do not (conventional farmers). The data was analyzed and tested used independent t-test to compare those categories. The results indicated that the level of income, revenue, and selling price were different significantly between those categories of the farmer, in which farmers who used e-commerce received higher income, higher revenue, and higher selling price than the conventional ones.

Abstract

The research was purposed to know the technical efficiency level of sugarcane farming in Purworejo regency. The research method used DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) with the input-oriented assumption to measure the efficiency score from each observed farming. The result of the research showed most of the sugarcane farming in Purworejo regency was categorized as inefficient. According to DEA-CRS calculation, there were 11 sugarcane farming 19,3 %) who have operated efficiently and 46 sugarcane farming (80,7%) have not operated efficiently yet (inefficient). The efficiency calculation using Variable Return To Scale (VRS) assumption resulted in an average efficiency value of 0.937. Efficiency was reached by 21 people (36.84%) while the other 36 people (63.16%) still have not reached efficiency yet.

Abstract

The supply of fresh dairy milk in the country (SSDN) has not been able to meet the needs of domestic dairy milk consumption so that the fulfillment of dairy milk consumption needs is also done byimporting dairy milk. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence milk imports in Indonesia. The research method uses quantitative analysis techniques, namely multiple linear regression. This research was conducted in Indonesia using secondary data from 2006-2016 obtained at the Central Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture and other literature related to research. Research variables include exchange rates, GDP per capita, milk exports, and milk production. The results showed that variables GDP per capita, milk exports, and milk production have positive influence. Meanwhile, exchange rate has negative influence for milk imports.

Research used census method and the number of sampel are 30 respondents, in Semarang and Magelang regency. Analysis of research used  Cobb-douglas model of production function,  linier regression function and one sample t test. The results of the   analysis of production function showed the amount of seeds, organic fertilizer,  NPK fertilizer, labor and the water have significant effect. The results of the analysis of the income function that have significant effect were the price and the amount of production,  this means, if increase in prices or increase in production, the farmer's income will increase. Abstract

Unpredictable changes in supply and demand may cause the variation of price behavior. Crude Palm Oil (CPO) as Indonesian main export commodity has the highest risk of uncertainty price which is influenced by world price while it tends to fluctuate and become volatile in the given period. In order to increase CPO production, government has implemented biodiesel mandatory regulation namely B30 in 2019. It means that the use of diesel fuel with 20 percent of biofuel content. Besides that, government also applies zero tax policy to stimulate CPO producers in doing export. The objectives of this research are to analyze price volatility and its effect on export volume in the long term. Daily Indonesian CPO price since January 2010 to December 2017 was analyzed by Historical Volatility Method and Cointegration Test. This research shows that both domestic and world price of CPO tends to be high while domestic price is less volatile than world price. Furthermore, CPO’s price and export volume are cointegrated and have negative relation in the long term.

One of the companiesengaged in the organic vegetable business in Malang City is Abang Sayur Organik (ABS) SMEs. Theorganic broccoli commodity is a superior product from ABS SMEs which continues supplied to retailand manufacture. Common problems that occur in the organic broccoli supply chain are fluctuations indemand and mismatches in the quality of products shipped. Measurement of supply chain performanceis needed to answer the existing problem. This study aims to describe the condition of supply chainmanagement and measure the performance of organic vegetable supply chains in ABS SMEs. The dataused are primary data obtained from questionnaires distributed to all ABS organic broccoli supply chainactors. Supply chain performance measurement uses the benchmark score method of Supply ChainOperation Reference (SCOR) performance indicators that include reliability, responsiveness, agility, costs, and assets with a value classification of parity, advantage, and superior. The results showed thatsupply chain actors involved were suppliers, distributors, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.Measurement of Perfect Order Fulfillment performance indicators at the position of advantage at the supplier level and superior at the distributor level to retail. The value of Order Fulfillment Cycle Timeand flexibility are superior at each actor, while the value of inventory days of supply at the supplier, distributor and manufacturing level is at a position of advantage but at the retail level at a superiorposition. Cash To Cash Cycle Time value is superior position in each supply chain actor, but for theTotal Supply Chain Management Cost value in each organic broccoli supply chain actor is in a gap-parity position

A company in orderto excel in competition must be able to recognize its market segment, target and product position againstits competitors. This research aims to determine the segmenting, targeting, and positioning of MangsiCoffee powder. The sampling technique used is the nonprobability sampling method that is accidentialsampling. Segmenting and targeting is done by using crosstab analysis, while positioning uses multidimensional scaling analysis and correspondence analysis. Mangsi Coffee powder market segmentationbased on the characteristics of consumers are men who are adults, graduated from tertiary education (last education), work as employees with monthly expenditure above the Denpasar City UMK in 2019(Rp. 2,553,000.00). Mangsi Coffee consumers based on psychographic segmentation tend to choosequality products and make coffee consumption habits a trend and lifestyle while Mangsi Coffeeconsumers based on segmentation of consumer behavior tend to choose products according to theirbenefits. Positioning using multi-dimensional scaling analysis (MDS) shows that, Mangsi Coffeepowder is not in one quadrant with all three competing products. The map shows that all four productsare in different quadrants. CA analysis (correspondence analysis), shows the superiority of MangsiCoffee powder products when compared with competitors' products is an attribute in terms ofpackaging.
