Abstract

Farmers satisfaction in joining Rice Farming Insurance illustrates the program performance. The satisfaction of Rice Farming Insurance program can be measured through some attributes of satisfaction. Satisfaction attributes are assessed ranging from dissatisfied to very satisfied. This research aimed to determine the level of farmer satisfaction on Rice Farming Insurance program. This research was conducted in January – February 2020. Slovin method used for sampling method with total sample of 100 respondent, consist of 53 respondents were taken in Dukuhwaru District and 47 respondents were taken in Warureja District using proportional allocation. Locations in this research was choose with purposive method. Importance Performance Analysis and Customer Satisfaction Index were used to analyze. The result showed that Farmers were satisfied with the implementation of the Rice Farming Insurance program with CSI score of 79%. The attributes that need to be improved are the compensation requirements, the amount of coverage, the submission procedure, reviewing, and payment procedure of claims, and the time of approval and payment of claims. Those attributes were considered important by farmers yet still have low performance.

Abstract

The aims of this research are finding out the correlation between product and consumer purchasing decisions, price and consumer purchasing decisions, promotion and consumer purchasing decisions, place and consumer purchasing decisions. This research has already done form May until July 2020. The samples were 50 respondents taken by nonprobability sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaires. Data analysis were descriptive analysis technique and Spearman’s Correlation analysis using SPSS 23 software. The results of this research shows the product is strongly related with the correlation coeffecient value positive, which means it has a directional correlation and product has a significant correlation with the consumer purchasing decision at Malabar Mountain Cafe in Bogor. The price is strongly related with the correlation coeffecient value positive, which means it has a directional correlation and price has a significant correlation with the consumer purchasing decision at Malabar Mountain Cafe in Bogor. The promotion is strong enough related with the correlation coeffecient value positive, which means it has a directional correlation and promotion has a significant correlation with the consumer purchasing decision at Malabar Mountain Cafe in Bogor.  The place is very weakly related with the correlation coeffecient value negative, which means it has undirectional correlation and the place has not a significant correlation with the consumer purchasing decision at Malabar Mountain Cafe in Bogor.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the declining interest of young workers working in the agricultural sector has consequences for the sustainability of the agricultural sector going forward. In the future, the burden on the agriculture sector will be heavier with the inc reasing population and increasing food demand. The reasons for the decline in the interest of young workers works at agricultural sector are mainly caused by the image of the agricultural sector which is less prestigious and can not provide adequate rewards. The crisis of young farmers in the agricultural sector and the predominance of older farmers has consequences for the agriculture sector development, particularly on agricultural productivity, market competitiveness, ruraleconomic capacity, and further it will threaten food security and agricultural sector sustainability. The objective of the research is to know the effect of social to career prospects on agricultural career empirically. The research involves 110 respondents with a questionnaire as a research instrument. The type of research in this study is survey research, the type of research which the way to collect data obtained or collected from the sample or population under study. Testing is done with a regression test to determine the effect of social status on career prospects in agriculture. The results of this study indicate that social status has an influence on perceptions of career prospects in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Agriculture is a strategic sector in national development because it plays an important role infood availability and realizes food security. The Farmer's attitude is one of the determining aspects toinvolvement farmers in empowerment programs for food security. A research, aiming to describe thefarmer's attitude and analyze the farmer's attitudes and the influence factors that influence the farmer'sattitudes on the food security empowerment program. The research used mixed method, the number ofresearch respondents was 60 farmers members of the farmer's group association Enggal Maju KebumenDistrict, determined by cluster random sampling, and for qualitative data, the informants were selectedpurposively. The Farmer's attitude analyzed with descriptive analysis and the influence factors offarmers' attitude used multiple linear regression analysis. Theresult show that the farmer's attitudes in terms of cognitive, affective, and conative components towardthe objectives program were high, farmer's attitudes towards, the target, implementation, and benefits ofthe program were very highly classified. Farm size, personal experience, and the influence of the important people were a significant effect on the farmer's attitudes in food security empowermentprograms. The need to maximize the function of farmer’s groups, consistency of extension workers,agencies and heads of Gapoktan assist and guide farmers so that the sustainability of activities ismaintained

Abstract

BPS National Socioeconomic Survey of Province Bali in 2016 to 2017 years, explains the order of foodstuffs (staple foods) with the highest level of consumption after grains are vegetables.Marketing vegetable in the Province Bali were still conventional, compared to some regions in Java which was increasingly aggressively marketing agricultural products with e-commerce. The purpose of this study is to examine the profile of e-commerce users. This research was explained characteristics, marketing management activities on the e-commerce platform, easy of used, e-commerce adoption and business success. This research was conducted on the e-commerce platforms Facebook, Instagram, Tokopedia, and Shopee. The research sample of 30 vegetable traders using e-commerce, analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods and Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that most traders had a relatively young age with a degree of undergraduate education. E-commerce can increase merchant income by applying management principles to the marketing process, payment, delivery, promotion, price, marketing targets and product standardization. The results of the study can provide recommendations to the younger generation that e-commerce of agricultural products in business is very promising.

Abstract

Lahat is one of the Robusta coffee production centers in South Sumatra. The coffee beansproduced by this district are often used as raw material in the coffee shop in Palembang because of thedistinctive taste and aroma that coffee lovers love. Coffee shops opens new opportunities for Robustacoffee farming. This study aims to analyze the flow of the supply chain and the added value of Lahatcoffee beans used by coffee shop. This research was conducted through a survey of four coffee shops inPalembang. The results showed that there are two supply chain lines, (1) coffee farmers - collectors -retailers - market traders - consumers; (2) coffee farmers - processors - coffee shops - consumers. Thesecond pattern is better and more profitable than the first pattern because the quality of the coffeeproduced is higher. The average added value obtained from processing one kilogram of coffee cherriesinto ground coffee is Rp. 158,132.94, coffee bean into green bean is Rp. 427,798.55, and green beaninto a cup of coffee is Rp. 1,029,269.00. This value indicates that processing the coffee cherries intopowder and processing the selected coffee cherries in coffee shop are profitable.

Abstract

Forest Management in Java is carried out by Perum Perhutani, which has implemented a Community-Based Forest Management (PHBM) system. Pringapus Kecanatan has a State Forest which is quite extensive, however, most of the population around the forest is still in poor condition. The condition of the community around the forest in Pringapus District is illustrated by the people who do not have independence, do not have access to use the forest, the level of education and skills are still low. In an effort to overcome all this, Perum Perhutani is empowering the community in Pringapus District through the Community Forest Management System. This system is considered quite strategic because it is very accommodating to the interests of various parties including the community as the agents of development. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Collaborative Forest Management System (PHBM) from the Institutional aspect, the Empowerment aspect, the Agribusiness aspect and the LMDH Role aspect and formulating a community empowerment strategy through the PHBM. Analysis of the data used to answer the objectives is descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of PHBM research in Pringapus sub-district indicate that the institution is being illustrated by the lack of realization of work programs as well as sub-optimal level of LMDH participation

Abstract

 This study aims to 1) Analyze the pattern of changes in commodity prices for spanish pepper in Malang District. 2) Analyzing the factors that influence fluctuations in the price of spanish pepper in Malang District. The research method used is quantitative method that uses secondary data in the form of time series obtained from several related agencies, namely the Central Statistics Agency of Malang District, Department of Industry and Trade, and Department of food crops, horticulture, and plantation in Malang District. Analysis of the data used is multiple linear regression with the dependent variable is the price at the consumer level from 2009-2018, while the independent variables use the data of the price of spanish pepper at the producer level, the amount of production, and the amount of consumption from 2009-2018. The study found that: 1) The development of the price of spanish pepper had a trend that tended to increase during the last 10 years. 2) From the results of data processing using multiple linear regression method with Eviews 9.0 application, it is found that the factor that significantly influences changes in the price of spanish pepper is the price at the producer level, while the amount of production of spanish pepper and the number of requests does not significantly affect the change in spanish pepper prices in Malang District.

Abstract

Cassava is one of Indonesia's local food which ranks third largest after paddy and corn. CentralJava Province ranks second in producing cassava in Indonesia. One of the regencies / cities that has thepotential to be developed in cassava farming is Karanganyar Regency. Karanganyar Regency has acassava variety called Jalak Towo. Jalak towo has a softer texture compared to other cassava.Thisstudy aim were determine the factors of production that affect the production of jalak towo cassava inKaranganyar Regency and its optimization analysis. The basic method used in this research wasdescriptive and analytical methods. The research location was Tawangmangu Subdistrict and JatiyosoSubdistrict as sub-districts producing jalak towo cassava in Karanganyar Regency. Sampling in thisstudy using a random sampling method with a total of 60 respondents consisting of 30 people at eachlocation. Data analysis methods used include: cobb-douglas production function analysis, varyingmodel parameter analysis and optimization analysis. The results of this study indicate that the factorsthat influence the production of jalak towo cassava are land area, experience, manure, urea fertilizer,age of the farmer, and location. Production factors that affect cassava production from the analysis ofvarying model parameters in Kec. Tawangmangu is the area ofland, manure, urea fertilizer, age of the farmer, and labor, while in Kec. Jatiyoso is land area and age. The results of the optimization analysisshowed that the combination of the use of production factors in Tawangmangu and Jatiyoso Subistrictsware not optimal.
