Abstract

Cukup 57 detik bagi Tuhan untuk bersabda melalui kedahsyatan alam ciptaannya,bahwa kuasa-Nya memang tidak ada yang mungkin mampu menyamai. Gempa bumi tektonikyang ‘hanya’ berkekuatan 5,9 pada Skala Richter telah membuat manusia benar-benar tiadaberdaya, lir kadyo gabah dipun interi (seperti gabah diputar-putar dan dibolak-balik di atastampi). Segala apa yang dibisikbangun dalam jalinan rentang panjang kehidupan umat manusiakini tinggal puing, porak poranda dihantam bencana. Nama Tuhan pun diseru, disenandungkandengan mesra ketika manusia merasa diri lemah, tidak berdaya dirundung ketakutan, ditimpaduka dan dihimpit rasa sakit.Musibah gempa memang tidak sekedar meluluhlantakkan bangunan fisik, tetapi jugamengoyak bangunan psikologis dan sosial masyarakat. Tulisan ini adalah hasil studi lapanganyang didapatkan selama penulis berkesempatan menjadi tim relawan pendampingan korbangempa. Potret psikososial masyarakat korban gempa menarik untuk dikaji lebih mendalamkarena ternyata di dalamnya tidak sekedar ditemukan nilai-nilai yag negatif, tetapi juga nilainilaipositif yang berasal dari kearifan lokal guna menggali makna terdalam menghadapibencana.Kata Kunci : psikososial, gempa bumi, kearifan lokal, Jawa

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between student perception towards mathematics teacher with mathematics academic performace. The population of the study were all students of class VIII SMPN 8 Cirebon in the academic year 2014/2015, with the number of students 287 people. The sampling technique used proportional random sampling, and the sample size was 56 students. Data collection techniques used: 1) Questionnaire of Perceptions towards Mathematics teacher, and 2) The results of student mathematics learning test. The result of correlation analysis show no significant correlation between students perception towards teacher and academic performance (r= .155, p= .254).

Abstract

Academic self-efficacy is individual conviction to be up against academic duty assignment accords that expected. Academic self-efficacy motivated student for ductile and persistent in finalizing college task, up to aim, and settles $emerging interference (Bandura, 1997, p. 117). Positive thinking helps college student to face situations that evoke stress in study and makes college student to focus on the positive things. Therefore, positive thinking often used to determinant of high in academic self-efficacy, because it’s making college student focus successful possibility in academic while stress gristle situation (Kivimaki, et al, 2005, p. 413). Methodology: This research intent to test effect of positive thinking training to step up academic self-efficacy at college student. This research is done on 21 first year college student undergraduate, they have never been followed positive thinking training thinks before all, and they has academic self-efficacy low or moderate category. They agglomerated in two groups, which is experiment group and control group. Hypothesis that proposed in this research which is there is difference of academic self-efficacy at experiment and control groups. This research used Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Positive thinking training is given up to three meeting. Data collecting is done by use of observation method, interview, and academic self-efficacy scale for college student. Results: Hypothesis testing result by use of Independent Sample t-test yields value of p (0,000) < 0,05. It points out that there is significantly difference of academic self-efficacy score between experiment and control groups after treatment. Thus, positive thinking can be one of the ways to increase academic self-efficacy at college student. Conclusions: There is effect of positive thinking training to academic self-efficacy at first year college student at sychology faculty of Diponegoro University on Semarang.Kata Kunci : Positive thinking training, academic self-efficacy, college studentPermalink :

Abstract

Self-help skills are one of the skills needed to support one's life. Individuals with severe intellectual disability have difficulty to perform self-help tasks, such as dressing, bathing, and toothbrushing. In addition, individuals with intellectual disability usually have other health related problems. To prevent dental health problems among people with severe intellectual disability, it is necessary to prevent it by taking care of dental health. Toothbrushing is one of the most effective ways to prevent it and toothbrushing training are one of intervention that could help. This research applied behaviour modification total-task presentation in children with severe intellectual disability. This research is a quasi-experimental research using a single subject A-B-A design. The participants for this study were a 19-year-old female teenager with severe intellectual disability. This intervention was given as many as nine sessions in three weeks. The data were collected using interviews and observations to record the emergence of a series toothbrushing behavior. Data then analysed using visual inspections method. The results of this study indicate that the total task presentation intervention provides an improvement in the ability of brushing teeth. This improvement still needs to be supported by the carer's directions.

Abstract

AbstractThe meaning in life is considered as an essential, truthful, and valuable thing for a person that deserved to be the goals in life. This study aims to describe and understand the meaning in life of ex punkers. A qualitative phenomenological approach was used in this study. Data were collected using depth interview and observation.Two subjects participated in the study and were approached using a typical purposive sampling. Findings showed that the meaning in life of these ex punkers were determined by the life before they joined punk, the life within punk communities, and the life after they left punk communities. From all the process they had gone through, there were similarities within the two subjects. They believed that life should be beneficial to others, one should be willing to share with others and to be respectful to others, and to honor solidarity and caring to others. The meaning in life of both subjects was derived from creative values as well as experiential values.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the difference in management of emotions as the demands of work (emotional labor) between extrovert and introvert salespeople. Subjects comprised 92 salespeople of the department store “X” (82 women; 10 men), aged 18-40 years (mean of age 22 years). In average, subjects had finished high school/equivalent. The average tenure is 2.5 years. Data were collected using two scales: Eysenck Personality Questionnaire/EPQ (22-items; α = .865) and Emotional Labor Scale (11-items; α = .787). The results of t-test showed that introvert salespeople scored significantly higher than the extrovert salespeople (Mintrovert = 36.08;Mextrovert = 33.67; t = 3.50; p = .001). It can be concluded that the introvert salespeople have better emotional labor than the extrovert salespeople.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to identify learning styles of students. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with survey method. The variable in this study is a single variable , namely the identification of student learning styles. The study population is students of Guidance and Counseling FKIP Pattimura University totaling 388 people. Samples were used as samples in the amount of 10% of the population of 39 people. The sampling technique using Simple Random Sampling. Learning styles questionnaire prepared based on the opinion of De Poter & Hernacki is used as a data collection tool. Learning styles identified as visual learning style, auditorial learning style, and kinesthetic learning style. Data analysis techniques in this study is the descriptive statistical analysis methods. Based on the survey results revealed that students of guidance and counseling FKIP Pattimura University has a tendency to one learning style. Of the 39 students found that 6 students had a tendency visual learning style, 20 students have a tendency to auditory learning style, 1 student has a tendency kinestheticlearning style, and 12 students have a tendency to mix between learning styles and learning styles visual auditorylearning styles.

Abstract

Kampus sebagai tempat peradaban yang multietnik berpotensi melahirkan konflik antaretnik. Maraknya konflik yang ditengarai bernuansa etnik yang terjadi di lingkungan kampus Universitas Haluoleo (Unhalu) mendorong peneliti melakukan penelitian tentang identitas etnik dan prasangka etnik salah satu etnik asli Sulawesi Tenggara dan sebagai etnik Pendatang di Kota Kendari, yaitu etnik Muna, terhadap etnik asli Kota Kendari yaitu etnik Tolaki. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara identitas etnik dengan prasangka terhadap etnik Tolaki pada mahasiswa Muna di Universitas Haluoleo Kendari Sulawesi Tenggara.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan dua alat ukur yang disusun sendiri oleh peneliti. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa skala, yaitu Skala Prasangka Terhadap Etnik Tolaki dan Skala Identitas Etnik. Sampel penelitian adalah 248 mahasiswa Universitas Haluoleo Kendari yang memiliki latar belakang etnik Muna serta berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposif random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi sederhana.Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) sebesar 0,356 dengan p= 0,000 (p<0,05). Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel identitas etnik dengan prasangka terhadap etnik Tolaki. Arah hubungan kedua variabel positif, yaitu semakin kuat identitas etnik maka akan semakin tinggi pula prasangka terhadap etnik Tolaki pada mahasiswa Muna di Universitas Haluoleo Kendari Sulawesi Tenggara. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima yaitu ada hubungan positif antara identitas etnik dengan prasangka terhadap etnik Tolaki. Semakin kuat identitas etnik maka akan semakin tinggi prasangka terhadap etnik Tolaki, dan sebaliknya, semakin lemah identitas etnik maka semakin rendah pula prasangka terhadap etnik Tolaki.Kata Kunci : Identitas Etnik, Prasangka, Etnik Muna, MahasiswaPermalink :

Abstract

This study aims to find out the meaning of shame in the young generation of Jakarta. Shame as one of the basic emotions, continues to evolve according to the age level and social changes that occur. The theory used is social representation theory with approach of social representation structure that will find central core and peripheral element of shame. This study used mixed method design: quantitative method with hierarchized evocation technique and qualitative method by conducting interview. The hierarchized evocation technique was performed on 252 participants using a questionnaire. While interviews were conducted on 13 participants which explore further about the shame. Participants were obtained by using snowball and accidental sampling technique, with the criteria as followed: students, at least fifth semester and maximum age is 25. The results show that the meaning of shame in Jakarta young generation is related to self-doubt, events that lead to negative judgment, unideal physical appearance, violation of moral principles and mismatch on etiquette. These five attributes are very strongly attached to the collective memory of the younger generation.

Abstract

Peran serta karyawan sangat penting bagi efektivitas organisasi.Dalam hal ini, karyawan yang dimaksud adalah karyawan yang tidak hanya handal, tetapi juga memiliki loyalitas dan komitmen, serta bersedia untuk memberikan kinerja lebih bagi organisasi, atau biasa disebut dengan Perilaku Kewarganegaraan Organisasi (PKO−Organizational Citizenship Behavior).Untuk itu, perlu mengetahui mengenai variabel yang dapat meningkatkan perilaku kewarganegaraan organisasi, karena dengan karyawan memiliki PKO yang tinggi maka hal ini akandapat membantu organisasi dalam beradaptasi dengan lingkungan (Organ, 2006). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dan pengaruh persepsi terhadap dukungan organisasi dan kepuasan kerja terhadap PKO. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada karyawan yang bekerja di lembaga keuangan (N=203), dengan menggunakan 3 jenis skala pengumpulan data yaitu Persepsi Dukungan Organisai (POS), Kepuasan Kerja, dan Perilaku Kewarganegaraan Organisasi (PKO). Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Korelasi Berganda.Dari penelitian diperoleh hasil yangmenunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari kepuasan kerja terhadap PKO (r=0,19; p<0,01), dan tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara persepsi terhadap Dukungan Organisasi pada PKO (r=0,05; p>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, tampak bahwa kepuasan kerja merupakan prediktor dan memiliki peran yang lebih penting terhadap PKOdibandingkan dengan persepsi terhadap dukungan organisasi.Keywords: Kepuasan Kerja, Perilaku Kewarganegaraan Organisasi, dan Persepsi terhadap Dukungan Organisasi.
