Abstract

Dalam bekerja, lingkungan kerja berpengaruh langsung terhadap sikap kerja danmenentukan prestasi kerja pegawai. Lingkungan kerja yang menyenangkan membuat sikappegawai positif dan memberi dorongan untuk bekerja lebih tekun dan lebih baik. Sebaliknya, jikasituasi lingkungan tidak menyengangkan mereka cenderung meninggalkan lingkungan tersebut.Sebagaimana diungkap Ghiselli dan Brown (dalam Tjalla, 1989) bahwa lingkungan kerjaberpengaruh terhadap kuantitas dan kualitas hasil kerja karyawan.Steers (1980) menyatakan bahwa pengaruh lingkungan dapat dilihat dari dua sisi, yaitulingkungan luar dan lingkungan dalam. Lingkungan luar umumnya menggambarkan kekuatanyang berada di luar organisasi, sedangkan lingkungan dalam merujuk pada faktor-faktor di dalamorganisasi yang menciptakan milieu kultural dan sosial tempat berlangsungnya kegiatan.Lingkungan dalam ini biasanya disebut dengan istilah iklim organisasi.Menyadari betapa iklim organisasi memiliki kontribusi yang cukup signifikan terhadapsetiap individu di organisasi, yang pada ujung-ujungnya akan pula berpengaruh terhadap kualitaskerja, maka dengan sendirinya perlu pemahaman yang baik tentang iklim organisasi. Tulisan iniakan mengantarkan pada pengenalan dimensi iklim organisasi dan “carut-marut” yangmenyertainya serta pengaruh yang ditimbulkannya terhadap kepuasan kerja dan kualitaskehidupan kerja karyawan

Abstract

Development of globalization impact to a strict competition between the companies. This lead the Human Resources factor into a crucial role in maintaining, directing and developing the company. Therefore, every company needs employees who are bound by their job. One of the things that can encourage the formation of relationship between the employee is perceived organizational support. This study aims to determine the relationship between perceived organizational support by attachment of employees at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Branch of Banda Aceh. The number of samples in this study were 139 permanent employees who were still working or were not taking time off from work with a minimum term of one year and the last education was diploma. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. Collecting the data using the scale adaptation of Survey of Perceived Organizational Support with 17-item version (α= .91) and a scale adaptation of Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) with 17-item version (α= .95). The results of data analysis using pearson product moment correlation technique that showed a positive relationship between perceived organizational support by attachment of employees at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Branch of Banda Aceh (rxy = .30, p < .05). The higher of perceived organizational support to the employee, likewise the higher bound of employee or otherwise.

Abstract

Karyawan diharapkan untuk menunjukkan perilaku organizational citizenship atau organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), karena OCB dapat meningkatkan efektivitas, produktivitas, dan kesejahteraan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan OCB. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 113 karyawan CV. Aneka Ilmu Semarang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan proporsional random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala OCB sebanyak 26 item (α = 0,887) dan skala kecerdasan emosional sebanyak 24 item (α = 0.865). Metode analisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dengan perolehan rxy = 0,747 dengan tingkat signifikansi korelasi pada p = 0,001 (p <0,05), yang berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan antara OCB dengan kecerdasan emosional. Tanda positif pada koefisien korelasi menunjukkan arah hubungan positif, yang berarti bahwa semakin tinggi kecerdasan emosional maka semakin tinggi OCB. Kecerdasan emosional memberikan kontribusi sebesar 55,9% dari OCB. Ada faktor lain sebesar 44,1% yang juga berperan namun tidak terungkap dalam penelitian ini.Kata Kunci: kecerdasan emosional, OCB, karyawan

Abstract

Career decision is one of the major issue among XII grade of high school students, particularly choosing major in university. Most of high school students experience career indecision. There are some factors that predict career indecision problems among adolescents. This study aims to identify factors that significantly affect career indecision among high school students, particularly personality and career decision making self-efficacy factors. This study used quantitative method and data were collected using Indonesian version of Big Five Inventory, Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Scale, and Career Decision Scale. We recruited 259 participants using incidental sampling (65.3% female, M age = 16.67 years, SD = .62). Hierarchical regression analysis demonstrated that personality factors, particularly openness to experiences and neuroticism predicted career indecision among high school students. Neuroticism was associated positively and openness to experiences was correlated negatively with career indecision. Meanwhile, career decision making self-efficacy was not correlated with career indecision. Therefore, practitioner should design an intervention to overcome student’s career indecision problem by reducing anxiety, decreasing fear in career decision making and encouraging students to looking for more information about their interest and career path.

Abstract

AbstractLupus is a chronic, autoimmune disease in which an abnormal immune system can cause inflammation on several organ or body systems. The risk of mortality rate caused by Lupus is high and late diagnosis is also prevalent which impact the psychological aspect of individual affected with Lupus (so-called Odapus). Therefore, resiliency is needed; that is individual ability to survive and keep optimistic attitude towards recovery. This study aims to describe the resiliency of the affected individuals with Lupus. This is a qualitative study. Eight persons affected with Lupus who were still coping with Lupus participated in this study. The results indicated that subjects developed a negatives constructs to adapt with Lupus. Therefore, psychological intervention is needed to improve their resiliency.

Abstract

The study was aimed to describe the work adjustment experience or orphan caregivers in orphanage for multiple disabilities (Panti Asuhan Cacat Ganda/PACG) using qualitative-phenomenology approach. The subjects were three caregivers working in PACG Semarang. Data were collected through semi-structured interview and observation. Data were then transcribed and analyzed to obtain psychological meaning, meaning units, concept map, and subjects’ main experiences. The result shows that orphan caregiver work adjustment is the result of their decision to work at PACG. Work adjustment performed by those orphan caregivers consist of five form of adjustments i.e. the adjustment to caregiving, the adjustment to company’s culture, the adjustment to interact with client, the adjustment to colleagues, and the adjustment to community. Subjects’ work adjustment was influenced by some external and internal factors to build their coping strategies in order to overcome problems that arose during the adjustment. It may be concluded that caregiver’s work adjustment is the synchronization of interpersonal relationship between caregiver and directors, clients, colleagues, and community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Kematangan Beragama dengan Kecenderungan Strategi Coping pada mahasiswa. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah ada hubungan positif antara Kematangan Beragama dengan Kecenderungan Strategi Coping. Semakin tinggi kematangan beragama semakin tinggi strategi coping. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni pada UNY dan Fakultas Tarbiyah pada IAIN. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Kematangan Beragama dan Skala Strategi Coping. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian ini, diketahui bahwa ada korelasi atau hubungan positif antara kematangan beragama dengan kecenderungan strategi coping yaitu Problem focused coping pada Dengan koefisien determinasi kematangan beragama terhadap kecenderungan strategi coping sebesar 14, 82 %. Semakin tinggi kematangan beragama semakin tinggi kecenderungan menggunakan Problem Focused Coping (PFC), begitu pula sebaliknya.   Kata Kunci: Kematangan beragama, strategi coping

Abstract

Caring for typical and atypical (especially autism spectrum disorder) children is not an easy task for parents. Different approaches were required to meet these two children who have differences in the characteristic of development. This was a phenomenological qualitative study aimed to describe the experience of parents caring of two children (typical and ASD). Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and was analyzed using data explication as one of descriptive analysis model in qualitative approach. Subjects consisted of four parents of children with typical and ASD (range from 8-12 years old). The result showed that parents provide a different approach to care for their children were typical and ASD. The decision to give a differential in parenting based on different needs and characteristics of child’s development and the exsistence of supporting system (support from extended family, ex: grandmother). The examples of the differential parenting were 1) dividing the proportion of the role between fathers and mothers, where mothers concentrated on child care for ASD while fathers are more concentrated on typically child assisted by a grandmother or aunty, 2). involving typical children as siblings for ASD children in teaching a variety of developmental tasks to minimize sibling rivalry. Another interesting finding was the family's financial determine the effort of parents in providing education as part of the discharge of duties of care.

Abstract

Semangat kerja adalah sikap karyawan terhadap pekerjaan dan lingkungan kerjanya yang diwujudkan dalam kedisiplinan, kegairahan kerja dan dorongan untuk maju, dan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhinya adalah kepuasan karyawan. Keadaan yang tidak memuaskan karyawan ditafsirkan disebabkan oleh hal-hal yang bersifat material, seperti upah atau gaji yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara empiris hubungan antara persepsi terhadap kompensasi dengan semangat kerja pada karyawan operasional PT KAI dan seberapa besar sumbangan efektif yang diberikan oleh persepsi terhadap kompensasi terhadap semangat kerja pada karyawan operasional PT. KAI Purwokerto. Jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 100 orang karyawan operasional PT KAI yaitu masinis, asisten masinis, kondektur KA, dan PLKA-RAC. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara teknik proportional sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala, yaitu skala Semangat Kerja berjumlah 22 aitem dan skala Persepsi terhadap Kompensasi, berjumlah 24 aitem. Hasil analisis data dengan metode analisis regresi sedehana mendapatkan = 0.391 dengan p= 0,000 (p<0,05). Persepsi terhadap kompensasi memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 15,2 % terhadap semangat kerja.Kata kunci: Semangat kerja, persepsi terhadap kompensasiPermalink :
